An institution in Adelaide. Some westernised classics but also decent Cantonese dishes. We came on Sunday and it was still busy. Best to book. They have an extensive dessert menu. There is also a separate gluten free menu.
With a vibrant atmosphere, incredible variety, and a plentiful banquet option, this spot promises a deliciously fulfilling dining experience.

Happened across this place by chance and are glad we did! Food was 10/10, incredible flavours and yes, the fried chicken is gluten free - so many options for coeliacs!
The service was friendly and attentive. Shout out to Ollie and the rest of the team for taking care of us :)

Thank you for a fantastic experience! I am vegan and gluten free and can’t have garlic or onion atm. They were able to accommodate me and still produce a tasty and well cooked salt and pepper tofu. The FOH staff took my food restrictions seriously and made me feel liked they really did care that I had a great experience.
It was our wedding anniversary and I got take away to eat back at our hotel. Even though we had to wait another 30 mins for my wife’s takeaway dinner at another place, my dinner still tasted great by the time we ate.
For someone who gets scared to eat out lately due to dietary restrictions and other places not caring, this experience left me feeling satisfied and happy with my meal!
Experience vibrant flavors and a welcoming atmosphere, perfect for large groups with diverse dietary needs during busy seasons.

We dined at ONG last night for the first time - but definitely not for the last. My wife is a coeliac and the chef took great care with her meal.
The fried crispy chicken was delicious (best ever), as was the rice.
The staff were very pleasant and extremely attentive.
ONG was O.M.G.

Ordered a toasted burrito. The red chilli sauce was unfortunately quite mild, but the burrito itself was great. Friendly service!
(As a celiac, they do cater to us. However, the gluten-free burrito is very delicate and you might have to finish the meal in a bowl.
Experience cozy vibes with attentive service and a diverse menu, making it a go-to for traditional Italian flavors and delightful desserts.

The food was so delicious including the gluten free pasta. It would be great to have a gluten free bread on the menu for coeliacs, as we do love our bread and it is so easily sourced these days with great artisan bakers who specialise in gluten free breads to suit all cuisines .
An innovative twist on classic dishes and a vibrant atmosphere make this spot perfect for a lively night out with friends or family.

Had a wonderful experience here on a balmy Friday night. The feed me menu was astounding. Three people with different dietary requirements & they catered for each of us. No soy/gluten for one guest & one vegan guest & everyone was satisfied. Every dish was superb.
The food kept coming & I think we had almost everything that was on the menu.
Take home containers were required & I'll be having tasty leftovers tomorrow.
Thank you to the chef, kitchen & front of house staff for a great experience.

During my recent visit to Zambrero Hindley Street, I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing taste and quality of their vegetarian burrito. Every bite was delightful and flavorful, leaving me wanting more. Their sauce, salsas, and making style is jsut perfect. The restaurant's ambience and decor were also very appealing, with a relaxing and cosy atmosphere.
What impressed me was the variety of options available on the menu, catering to different dietary preferences and taste buds. They have vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was prompt and efficient.
I had an amazing experience at Zambrero Hindley Street and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal in a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The location is perfect, being close to North Terrace and all the Pubs. If you're looking for a bite before going out, or a place to come back to after partying, this is the spot. Zambrero Hindley Street is open early on Friday and Saturday, so you can enjoy it anytime. They offer a variety of options for both vegetarians and meat lovers alike. I loved it and definitely plan on coming back.

I recently hosted a Hen’s Day Long Lunch at Mexican Society and I could not sing their praises more highly. Service was great and the food was phenomenal. Everyone commented on how yummy everything was and how it just kept coming. We chose one of the banquet options and were so very satisfied. I have to mention that 13 of the 19 guests had dietary requirements (Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Pescatarian and some allergies) but the restaurant went above and beyond to ensure everyone was accommodated for. Thank you so much Mexican Society!!
This fine dining spot impresses with a luxurious five-course tasting menu and a retro, romantic vibe that's perfect for a special night out.

Truly shocking experience. Attended with a group including a celiac vegan. Rang the day before to advise of dietaries out of courtesy, which were acknowledged upon arrival. First course included sourdough rolls, with a separate item for our guest which she double checked with the waitress was gluten free and was assured it was. After taking the first bite, the waitress rushed back with a substitute item, saying the first one wasn't gluten free after all. By this time our guest already had ulcers in her mouth in allergic reaction, which ruined her and our evening. The restaurant's response was simply to apologize and remove drinks from the bill and bring a plate of cookies, still charging our guest for her meal. Didn't follow up after to see if she was ok despite her physical reaction in the restaurant. Didn't respond to a voice mail I left asking to speak to the manager in the days following (will still take this call, if you're reading this). Generally arrogant attitude throughout the evening. Negligent and lacking accountability. Separately from the incident, we needed to share two plates of the main course between 5 people (was supposed to be a main between two), with the 3 course "degustation" for $95 leaving us all hungry and angry.
Charming spot with beautiful drinks, great for solo visits or gatherings, known for a welcoming vibe and quick service that makes you feel at home.

We come here regularly for coffee and breakfast. They are always very quick and the eggs on toast are a great price.
They have separate tongs for gluten free cabinet treats for coeliac safety.

Gorgeous experience!! Definitely in my top 10 fav restaurants/cafes!!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The space is so beautifully designed. Love the booths, the plants everywhere, the mirrors and fairy lights 🪴💡🪞🇬🇷❣️ Super clean and tidy too! We literally had the whole place to ourselves which was an absolute treat! My family loved the music 🎶. The waitress was amazing - warm, inviting, knowledgeable - I have never felt so at ease eating out somewhere (as I am both plant-based and gluten-free). My family and I were super impressed by each and every Mediterranean dish! The haloumi was a real hit! Eggplant dish - just divine ❣️❣️ Nothing beats quality 🫓🍆🍅🍽️🥥🍊
Thank you to all levels of staff that have been/are involved with creating and maintaining such an incredible magical venue - the care factor @ The House of George is oh so very high!!!! Can't wait to go back 🪴🪞💡🇬🇷

Food was nice and tasty, came quite quickly, service was on and off, but the place was extremely busy so it was completely understandable. I don’t normally eat lamb as I don’t like the taste but the lamb rack was so tasty!
They also cater for vegans, vegetarians and coeliacs. Curry so nice too and excellent wine list. Only complaint was it was noisy but if you want to avoid that, go during weeknights

Go to for gluten free pizza for wife and I. She likes the pepperoni and I like the Turkish. They have great starters on their boards. If you call on the phone, you just have to ask. Haloumi is always good. The chili wings were good, but not always available.

Hands down our favourite restaurant in Adelaide. We have never had a bad meal here and the service is always excellent, super friendly and welcoming.
Favourites are the crab pasta, creamy salmon pasta, chicken schnitzel with pepper sauce and the chicken avocado. The servings are always huge too you never leave feeling unsatisfied. They have really yummy gluten free pasta that is just like regular pasta we get it all the time. They have inside and outside seating, it’s really nice to sit outside during the summer months.
Enjoy vibrant decor and a lively atmosphere while indulging in a mix of flavorful dishes, though some may hit the mark better than others.

The food was absolutely incredible! (We did the feed me) Everything had such a good level of spice. It slowly builds and packs a punch but is not over the top. Are you missing Japanese desserts?
A stylish shop located in Adelaide's CBD that specializes in tea desserts, including matcha. It's one of the places I visited many times during my stay. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is calm, and it's a space where you can enjoy yourself or with a group of people. There are options for seating, either traditional Japanese-style seating or Western-style tables. Desserts are made with plenty of tea, making them delicious even for gluten-free and vegetarian options, as well as those who don't like sweets. Also, some desserts are available for a limited time only, so don't miss your chance. No matter when you eat it, you will not only enjoy the taste and freshness of the dessert, but also the appearance, which is as good as Japanese desserts, so please give it a try.
It truly looks like edible art, and is sure to be Instagrammable. In addition to desserts, you can also enjoy Japanese tea and alcohol. There are a wide variety of choices, so if you are unsure, we recommend asking the owner or staff for advice. They will tell you about the preferences of each person and the effects of tea. Everyone working at Matcha House is really kind and always offers hospitality. Last but not least, I believe that the world is currently experiencing a difficult time due to the coronavirus. If you're feeling down, why not try one of Matcha House's desserts to soothe your soul? I have returned to Japan myself, but I would like to go there again when I stop by Adelaide.
Anyone craving for a Japanese Dessert?
Located in Adelaide CBD, a store specializing in tea desserts, offering various Japanese teas (Matcha) related products to foster health benefits. One of my favorite places that I’ve visited many times whilst my stay at Adelaide.
The ambience of the store is relatively calm, where it can be enjoyed by alone or with a med~ big party. Seats are available with traditional Japanese style or normal tables. As for the desserts, since most are made using teas, it is also loved by people who are not good at sweet. Meanwhile, there are limited-time desserts, so please do not miss the chance. Not to mention, the taste and freshness are always served in a great state, and the appearance of the products is as beautiful as the desserts found in Japan. Please pop in a have a try! It's just like eating art, and it definitely looks good on Instagram. Aside from the foods, they also offer a great range of fresh teas and unique Sake from Japan to go with. There are many kinds, so if you get lost, it is recommended that you ask the owner or employees for advice. They will kindly assist you about the tastes and benefits of the tea that suit individual's preference/ needs.
Overall, I had an amazing time on my every visit to Matcha House. People working at Matcha House provide great hospitality service as always. Arigatou Gozaimasu. Believe it is the hardest time for everyone under this COVID-19 crisis. If anyone feeling depressed or simply looking for a place to chill, why not to visit Matcha House and try out their products to be healed. If I ever have a chance to go Australia, I will definitely drop in again.
Vibrant vibes and a cool basement atmosphere make for a fantastic dining experience with thoughtful menu options and impressive value.

Excellent vibes. Our party of 6 had the chef's menu. They designed a lovely, well-balanced meal and were able to accommodate several dietary restrictions, including gluten-free! Everything was good, but we especially loved that they made zucchini taste good without drowning it in salt or cheese. We will definitely come back here.

Cosy, traditional style place with family photos on the walls.
Dishes are a little on the pricey side (pastas $26 to $40) but high quality ingredients and authentic taste like you're in a family kitchen.
