We asked a family friend for a few recommendations for restaurants near white rock and his response was Afghan Kitchen was his personal favorite.
We tried it and our party of 7 absolutely loved the food. Highly recommend the lamb shank, and lamb/beed/chicken kabobs.
You can tell the food is prepared and served with the kind of care and love only a family owned establishment can provide.
We had 3 gluten free diners and the menu is extremely GF friendly - including a GF version of Mum’s secret cake that was off the charts.
We will definitely be back!

Great restaurant! Servers and hosts are all very friendly, kind and welcoming. Food was great and the Zero proof beverages were refreshing with a nice decoration :) They have variety of entrees as well, my favorite was definitely the Avocado dip which was sooo flavorful!!! They have many main dish options, vegetarian and vegan. I believe they have gluten free options as well which is awesome! The place itself was beautiful, really cozy but also fancy. My family and I had a great experience. With the exception of root beer, there was something on the menu for all of us. A lot of gluten free options as well as Vegan and plant based. Good healthy and delicious options as well. And then there was the burgers that were very satisfying. Really nice restaurant. I have been at this location many times, and has always been a positive experience. I just ordered the Chicken Santa Fe Salad, and I left a note mentioning my dietary restrictions as a Celiac. I really appreciate the staff member who took the time to write a hand written message letting me know that they got my note about being Celiac, and confirmed that the tortilla strips on the top were gluten free! It probably took little time, but made me feel a lot more confident enjoying my meal. And of course, the salad was a 10/10!!!

Had an amazing experience at Earls Grandview on Thursday night! Our server, Hayley, was fantastic—attentive and friendly. Austin, the guest experience manager on duty, went above and beyond by comping two desserts when they found out we were celebrating something. The food was incredible—steak frites were better than The Keg, and the sushi tacos and pizzas were delicious. The new plant based burger (perfect for my vegan husband) was much better than the processed impossible burger they used to have. (Good job on the switch Earls!!!). They also had great gluten-aware options, which was perfect for my daughter who was recently diagnosed with gluten intolerance, and myself who has a GF prefercence. The mocktails were refreshing and creative and the prosecco was delicious. Outstanding service and food—we’ll definitely be back!

We ordered a gluten free pizza for someone with celiac disease. Upon coming home, our gluten free pizza was made incorrectly, resulting in no dinner available for our celiac family member. When calling the store, they told us we could receive a free pizza of our choice on our next order, marked on file. We called again tonight, spoke to Reet, to claim our free pizza, in addition to ordering 2 additional pizzas, and were told the discount was not on file and therefore they could not honour it. Reet also offered us no substitution of a discount on our order, because there was nothing written in our file. We tried explaining that having nothing written in file, was simply not our fault. Reet then insinuated that we were lying about the discount because it was not on file. She also stated that we might have already used the discount, once again assuming dishonesty. We have been customers of this establishment for 10 years. We asked the Reet, what she could do instead of the free pizza, and she said we could have $5 off. $5 off of 3 large pizzas…needless to say we cancelled our order and decided to go to a more deserving establishment. Train your staff, and don’t blame your customer for staff mistakes. I suggest going to Canadian 2 for 1 if you are from the area, amazing kind staff and delicious pizza!

We went here 2 weeks ago and it was great! The gluten free chicken burger and fries are top tier and our waitress was very helpful accommodating our needs. My girlfriend’s chicken pasta came out without chicken and they were very quick to make a whole new pasta for her free or charge (they even threw in an extra chicken breast cooked to perfection) and also since they felt bad they gave us free dessert! It was pretty awesome! Even if they made a mistake, they were quick to make things better.

As a Celiac, I won't be eating here again.
The food was delicious, but after a few bites, I had painful hives appear on my hands (my body's immediate response to gluten before all the other symptoms set in).
Our waitress was absolutely phenomenal and did everything she could have to make sure what I ordered was the safest option on the menu to avoid cross contamination, but it happens and of course no kitchen that handles gluten can guarantee no cross contamination in dishes or that it isn't hiding in one of the ingredients if it hasn't been thoroughly checked by kitchen staff.
Other than getting glutened, our waitress was so wonderful, and the vibe was great!

Visited the restaurant while in town for a hockey tournament. We were nervous as our little one has multiple food allergies and it is always hard to find good alternatives. I have celiac disease so I have a gluten free diet. On the menu Nachos are listed as gluten free. Thank goodness I asked if they were 1. Deep fries and 2. In a shared gluten deep fryer. I was told yes they were but are gluten free. BUT NO they are not gluten free because they are cross contaminated. I wish restaurants knew how serious celiac disease is. Like a peanut allergy there are effects from eating gluten. Education needed for staff and managers.
