Read the reviews about the gluten-free fish and chips, and decided to check it out for a date with a Celiac girl. We were blown away, crispy batter, moist tender fish, house cut fries, all in a quiet, tucked away little spot with plenty of old school diner/pub themes. Will definitely be coming back.
A hidden gem with a nostalgic vibe, awesome live music scene, and a must-try burger that will blow your mind!

We parked down the street in a parking lot that only accepted coins. $2/hr. (No cards accepted only coins)
When you first step foot in the door it's like being punched in the nose by an old moldy cloth. đ€ą Needless to say, we stuck around because we heard that that pop punk band 'Accident Prone' from the early 2000s has been seen there. đ€
The staff are the cool kids you jammed with in school. Friendly enough and didn't seem to mind catering to our dietary restrictions of dairy-free and gluten-free. They were very accommodating.
If you are looking for Root Beer here, you won't find it. It's only Pepsi products (and even though Pepsi makes root beer, they didn't have it lol!)
The BEST thing about this visit.... APORKALYPSE NOW BURGER AND SWEET POTATO FRIES!!!!! I still dream of this pork on pork product. There is nothing as good as this. The burger patty is delicious, it's topped with regular bacon that was the perfect crisp and if that wasn't enough it was topped with chunky double smoked bacon (which I hope to be buried with one day). I swapped my provolone for vegan cheese (for those with broken bellies like me) And, if that wasn't enough.... they slather this little piggy in horseradish mayo!! Like what the funk?!? Who thinks of such a glorious burger lube?!? Bottle that and sell it, you'd make a killing!! I swapped the standard fries for sweet potato fries that came with a tasty dip and it was a match made on the farm!
I am STOKED that we stayed, that burger was like nothing I have ever eaten before. Thank you to whoever created it! It was simply gorgeous.
I hope to be back someday to enjoy that morsel once more!
Great atmosphere with a lively patio, tasty dishes, and generous portions make this spot a must-visit for a casual outing.

We used to come here all the time - and it was great. Then last year we went and I noticed the gluten free pizza did not taste the same as it had. Took a break from Caro, then decided to give it another go, and it is disgusting. The gluten free dough *was* the best in the city (Iâve been gluten free for 10 years and tried many places), and it appears they changed the dough. Not sure why they would change it because the last 2 times it has been horrible. Couldnât even finish a slice. Very disappointing! Will not be returning, and I no longer will be recommending Caro as a gluten free option
Amazing! 11 of us ordered take out for curbside pick up last Friday for an office luncheon. Everyone of us enjoyed our lunch immensely. There was only 1 error for all of the orders, not a big deal. I ordered a burger with a gluten free bun, expecting the usual disappointment in this department and I was VERY pleasantly surprised. The bun was AMAZING as was the burger. Fries are not celiac safe so I opted for the chopped salad with ranch on the side. I very much enjoyed every bite!! Everyone was pleased with theirs (minus one order of fries that were plain when they were supposed to be ranch fries) but all in all, this one will remain on the list of options and I am sure we will order from here again.
Thanks Memphis for a great lunch for this medical team!
A go-to spot for tasty burgers with unique sauces and a welcoming vibe, perfect for burger lovers and those seeking variety!

8 of us went for a work gathering and I can't even begin to caution against here enough!
From being sat at the incorrect table and moved, to tables thag wobble and having to finally swap thw table ourselves (after mentioning this to our server)
To only.part.of our ppl getting a drink and others flagging one down, apparently the breaded cauliflower os now needed broccoli without even so much as a heads up.
Orders were screwy. Salads with wrong dressing x2, I'm gluten free and ordered no bun but.got.the bun and when this was pointed out I got.a dry overcooked -borderline burnt burger without and condiments.
Another of us ordered a salad.with grilled chicken only to be asked a whole.later again what protein she wanted.
We were asked 2 mins after getting our apps how we were doing but not again.
The restaurant was awful, service & food.
As we.are management from a local store celebrating this was very disappointing.
We try and support local businesses but we definitely will not be back.
Experience a lively atmosphere with savory dishes, great prices, and engaging entertainment that keeps everyone coming back for more!

We came here last night with friends. It was a last-minute decision to try Bangkok Spoon, and we've wanted to go for a while but never made it until now. The atmosphere is very nice, with partitions between some tables that create a more intimate setting.
We tried a few dishes, including Bangkok Pad Thai, spicy noodles, tiger shrimp spring rolls, pepper beef, mixed vegetables, vegetable rice, and garlic string beans. First of all, I want to mention that our waiter was a very nice and courteous gentleman. However, he seemed to struggle with remembering some of our requests.
One issue was that the spicy noodles were forgotten in our order, which was a meal for one of us. While the rest of us were eating, he was still waiting for his dish. When it finally arrived, our friend, who is celiac, had to double-check to ensure that the item was gluten-free, but it wasnât. This led to it being taken back to the kitchen, and our friend had to wait again for his meal while we continued to eat.
We tried to be patient, but with the two mix-ups, our food was getting cold. The waiter seemed eager to please but just wasnât having the best night. We also asked for soy sauce, which was forgotten and required a reminder before it was brought to us.
After all of these service issues, when the bill was delivered, the spicy noodles were not taken off our bill, which our friend had to ask to be corrected. It should have been done automatically without us needing to ask. Thank you for trying to make it better by giving us a scoop of ice cream. I hope that the waiter has better days in the future.
Overall, while the food was very tasty, it wasnât plentiful for four people, and the price was a bit high. For that price, we couldâve had an AYCE meal. While the food was good, the service had some hiccups that impacted our overall experience. I hope they can improve on that for future visits!
Charming spot brimming with character, showcasing local art and delicious baked goods, plus a cozy atmosphere that invites you to linger.

I have to eat gluten free as I'm celiac & family members kindly picked me up some GF morning glory muffins from Paisley Cafe to try. Wow...best GF muffin I've ever had!!! I will be making the 45 minute drive to see them soon (& I suspect often!) to hopefully get more muffins & try whatever other GF delights they have! I wish I still worked at McMaster University so I could visit them every day!! :-)
**Update - visited in person - do be careful if celiac as server used same tongs on regular gluteny treats on the GF treats. I didn't notice the tongs weren't fresh until midway through server packing up my goodies & I ended up having to give away $30 worth of treats as I couldn't eat them. My bad, I should have asked server to use fresh tongs when I ordered.
A cozy gem in downtown, this spot boasts a vibrant atmosphere, local art, and quick service, making it the perfect hangout for coffee lovers.

We travelled 2 hours to eat dinner here. Destination choice. Us and our friends (4 top) The dining room was busy, loud and full of laughter. The Kitchen was on a lull when we sat down for our 7 pm table, as we had a front row seat to see what they are up to. What they are "up to" is a LOT. As is the whole restaurant. Great greeting at the door, good well timed and solid service by the whole team, table visit from the Manager to say hello and chat for a minute. Very well made drinks, good wine selection by the glass, big tables, nice big chairs. Details. They have these covered. As the second rush hit, and the Kitchen crew was heading into what I know was the second stretch of service in a 10+ hour day, they did not let up. All of the parts of the dishes we ordered had their full attention. The salad, venison carpaccio and squash fritters were delicious, proportional and looked fantastic. The frites on the burger and flat iron steak (both cooked as ordered, delicious and served hot) were crisp and seasoned. The gnocchi was so good my wife purposefully did not finish so she could take some home to have the next day and my duck leg had crispy skin, soft delicious meat and slightly textured cabbage, with potatoes, proper lardons and a balance of tart mustard. There was dessert too after all of that great food, a smooth and full-of-real-vanilla-bean brulee and a light lemon tart. Espresso martinis after the meal instead of coffee. I am a full blown celiac diner who understands that there will be dishes that I just cannot have and yet I had numerous menu choices as well as un-requested thoughtful additions provided (gluten free crackers for my carpaccio) This is a restaurant business that you can go to knowing that all of the people that are here are working to put out the very best over-all experience they can, and have been doing so for the past several years. In a changing time of eating out and deciding where to go and what to get, my wife put it perfectly - "Go somewhere that can exceed your expectations" The French does just that.
An inviting spot with a gorgeous interior, unique artwork, and a menu that showcases inclusivity and community supportâdefinitely worth a visit!

MYSTIC RAMEN IS THE BEST.
Some of the best flavours Iâve ever tasted have been here.
The staff are all so welcoming and enthusiastic. You can tell they all genuinely enjoy the food and love working there. The owner Heather, is so sweet - very involved and attentive to guests experiences.
The decor is super cool and it always feels so cozy and intimate even when all tables are full! The Lava Lounge is a recent addition to their seating options - itâs super cute/cool!! They project anime on the wall which is awesome! (please play Demon Slayer sometime đ)
They offer delicious gluten free options (noodles too!) which is amazing for my wife! Theyâre really careful with allergies and such, so Iâm pretty sure it would be a great ramen option for someone with Celiac.
When family and friends visit from out of town, Mystic Ramen an essential stop!
With so many amazing restaurants, Hamilton has no shortage of delicious food but itâs safe to say that Mystic Ramen is in my top 3 favourite restaurants in the city!

A funky vibe with a good retro decor. The service was excellent, especially dealing with allergies. For gluten free, everything except the pancakes/french toast is either gf or can be made gf. Great cocktails too. Try the brussel sprouts dishes!

Highly recommend this restaurant for your business lunches. The weekday lunch staff are incredible. Attentive, very friendly and courteous about special requests and allergy accommodations. Seriously amazing servers.
The prices are higher than a place like Kelseys, but the quality and portion sizes you receive definitely make it worthwhile. There are areas for larger groups to be seated together, as well as lots of booths for more intimate meetings. Lots of appetizer options to share among groups, and vegetarian and gluten free menus. They've also added some new alcohol-free cocktails which is great for the daytime and non-drinking-but-still-want-to-participate folks.
Highly recommend the Curry Bowl and the Hell of a Burger.
Clean restrooms.
The parking isn't great but that isn't their fault as the plaza is still under construction.

First visit for brunch with friends and it was very disappointing...no coffee because their coffee machine was not working. The menu and reservation form indicates they have gluten free options and yet they had no gluten free bread/buns, so my eggs benny came without an English muffin. Overall, not a great experience.
An unforgettable experience awaits with amazing flavors and impressive options for everyone, perfect for a fun night out with friends.

Went out for a girls night with some delicious pasta and wine. I was very grateful that they have a gluten free pasta option. Still looking for more options that are not seafood as I don't eat seafood, but it was nice to be able to eat at a mainly gluten filled restaurant knowing there was an option I had to eat. I got the gluten free pasta with the pomodoro sauce and started with the ceci salad.

Clean, well managed and good value for the money. I like my pork not so well done but I understand that restaurants have to be cautious and not everyone likes pork on the pink side. The portions were good and they have gluten free rice-based pasta that my wife enjoyed. They even had GF bread to make a garlic toast! We each had a drink and found them to be reasonably priced too. So many establishments are gouging on that element now. We weren't expecting much from initial impressions but we ended up pleasantly surprised and would definitely go back if opportunity presented it.

Ordered pizza from here for the family. It was delicious. I like that the pizza is not too saucy, the crust if fluffy and the toppings were abundant. I canât believe Iâve only just discovered this place. Iâm celiac so I need gluten free options and Iâm always looking for new places. My husband and I ordered 3 appies which were all amazing - they donât normally offer GF bruschetta but they made it work with pizza crust and it was amazing. Our entrees were amazing also. The server was so accommodating and didnât mind when he had to ask the kitchen about modifications or whether something was GF. I guess the only Cons for me were that there were no GF desserts (not uncommon to be fair) and their menu didnât include any indication of which items were GF or could be GF. Overall I thought this place was amazing and I will be going back for sure.
Food was meh this time. Wings were tough, rubbery. Fries were not crispy. What's wrong with the blue cheese dip? It's the oddest grey colour. Potato skins were alright.
I do like that there's a gluten free fryer and a few decent options for gluten free "pub fare" but this time we were underwhelmed. We probably sont hurry back.
This spot serves up incredible burgers with a variety of options and delicious shakes that keep fans coming back for more.

Hambrgr had great selection for burgers and were even able to easily accommodate my gluten dietary restriction with a delicious bun substitute. I ordered the Hawaiian Punch burger and it truly was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. The pulled pork's BBQ sauce and sweet pineapples balanced out the saltiness of the fried onion topping and savoury beef burger.
Side caesar salad was a little pricey at $6.00 for a small salad but was tasty and wasn't overwhelmed with too much dressing. I would order it again.
Overall, Hambrgr is a great value for a gourmet burger and worth spending a couple extra dollars for a premium meal. I have gone twice and will be back.

I've stopped by a few times, and Peruviano is consistently delicious, and safe for gluten-intolerant people.
On Tuesdays, they have $15 tacos for three (pork belly, cauliflower/veggie, and chicken) -- and it was well worth it if you're feeling peckish.
They also have half priced appetizers with the purchase of a full entree (which are huge portion and delicious!). Would recommend to anyone who wants to support a local small business, high quality food, and Peruvian restaurant.
My bridesmaids planned my bridal shower at The Apartment at the Aberdeen Tavern this past weekend, and they couldnât have picked a more perfect space! The venue on the second floor is absolutely gorgeous and bright with beautiful big wood harvest tables. It fit our group of 22 perfectly, and the brunch buffet looked AND tasted amazing! The vegan, vegetarian and gluten free guests were SO impressed with the meals they got, and the presentation was beautiful. Our server/hostess, Sherry, was awesome and made the experience even better. I would absolutely recommend this space for any event, and I will definitely be back soon to try out the restaurant!

Our niece planned their wedding at the Ancaster Mill Chapel and reception in the Mill. It was spectacular.
For sure the bride and groom were so thoughtful in their selections but the Mill delivered. The location is beautiful with the mill stream and stone work stairs. The staff we kind, busy making our event special- the staff were happy to be there and knew how to support a good party.
The food - excellent., complimentary the chef/kitchen team, you should be proud of your skill and care. I enjoyed the hors dâOeuvres - several gluten free options all scrumptious. At the meal the salad was a feature- seeds and glazed walnuts, pomegranate seeds fresh green with a roasted squash base - wow. I had the prime rib. Again it was a treat.
We had a great time. Thank you!

Red Door catered a pizza party for us- our guests were greeted by the
Wood burning pizza oven Dave set up in our driveway. First up out were the gluten free pizzas- a delicious thin rice dough . Then Giovanni set to work- spinning his fresh dough into perfect pizzas, with a variety of delicious toppings- and they kept coming, easily the best pizza in the Golden Horseshoe, beautiful presentation- and a lot of fun.
Thank you for a great evening!

The staff was amazing, super friendly, super helpful. The food is very good. I like that they had gluten-free pasta. The Burrata was lovely My only complaint is I ordered the lobster spaghettini gluten-free most expensive item on the menu, but it was a treat out so I thought I love lobster. Why notâŠ.. very disappointed in the fact that there was only three extremely tiny pieces of lobster, that does not constitute $36 there was seven times more chicken in the other pasta that we also got I mentioned it to our waiter and I would think that the cook couldâve provided us with a bit more lobster at the time considering the cost of that plate but they did nothing

Very nice restaurant. The food was fresh and delicious! The portion sizes were perfect. Not too much and not too little. The iPad was nice and easy to use but it was a bit of a negative waiting for the server to confirm the order every time to have the order go to the kitchen. There was a nice gluten free section too! The service was quick and efficient. The burners worked well and we had ours changed once as there was alot of residue food after cooking and that made it hard to cook more. It was changed quickly once we asked. The temperature was great for cooking. The price of $38.99 is all day, for lunch and supper. There is no lesser price for lunch, unlike most other buffets. A bonus is this does include a bottomless soft drink or ice tea and the server is frequently asking if you want a refill but you basically pay for the drink with the $38.99 per person. The parking is free and the location is good. This is a nice place to try out, I recommend!
