Very nice, small place with really friendly staff who offers gluten-free arepas! Some also vegetarian and vegan. We chose the arepas menu with salad, arepa and drink. Very satisfied! The only flaw is the bathroom which, although clean, has a small problem with the annoying toilet seat.

My husband and I are from Australia and found Viva Chapata in Lavapies at the end of our stay in Madrid. The staff were fantastic, the atmosphere was relaxed, they had gluten free alternatives clearly marked on their menu, and the coffee was the best we had in Europe. We had planned to return early the next morning but needed to catch our flight, so hope the staff see this review - we’re sorry we didn’t make it back! We recommend highly to anyone. Everything we tried was great. The roasted sweet potato with chickpeas was our favorite dish. We also ordered the meatballs, the eggplant blood sausage rolls and the ceviche. For dessert, the most delicious thing was the tangerine cake with banana ice cream. They are also very attentive, they were always concerned about offering gluten-free options for one of us who is intolerant. We will definitely return.

In march I celebrated my birthday here with family and we liked so much all the food, pizzas, salads and desserts. There is gluten free pizza here. From desserts my favourites are panacota and of course tiramisu. Pizza favorita hawaiana))))

We ordered some patatas bravas that were incredible, and three hamburgers that were also delicious. The burgers come with a side dish of your choice between sweet potatoes, fries or salad. The burger meat is made to the point you order. For dessert we ordered a gluten-free cheesecake that comes with a pistachio cream. The best cheesecake I've ever had (and it's gluten-free). Very good service, very calm waiter, we liked it a lot. The atmosphere is very calm with house in the background. Totally recommended.

This small café is an absolute gem with a great ambiance and excellent service. The coffee here is phenomenal—I’ve tried both the cappuccino and batch brew, and each was incredibly smooth and full of flavor. They also offer a decent selection of food and pastries that look absolutely delicious. I couldn’t resist trying their gluten-free pistachio cheesecake, and it did not disappoint—fantastic flavor and texture! If you’re looking for a a place with a great vibe and with top-notch coffee and treats, this place is definitely worth a visit.

I have been there several times and we have always liked it. They have original and very tasty dishes, we usually leave full and satisfied. In addition to having a varied menu, many of the dishes are GLUTEN FREE or completely adaptable, which gives a lot of confidence and there is no problem of cross contamination. Totally recommended, and the treatment has always been very pleasant as has the atmosphere. If I only had to put a 'but' it would be the price which, in some cases, we find a bit high.

Great restaurant with special food and good atmosphere. The service is very friendly, helpful and gives good advice regarding wines and dishes. Our waitress Helen was exceptionally friendly and professional and gave us a great evening. The restaurant can offer various gluten-free options. The starters were great, especially the artichoke and shiitake ceviche. The risotto tasted very good but cooled down quickly because the plate was flat and not preheated. The desserts were surprisingly good, especially the pineapple with miso and peanut cream/ice cream was very popular, while I normally wouldn't go for a sweet dessert. The acoustics of the room were very good, the atmosphere was good, but the decor was quite white and sterile. All in all highly recommended ☺️☺️

Beautiful project with a human warmth that invites you to stay for a while longer. The place is small, but it has a beautiful terrace with views of the valley and the sidewalk, I understand that you can also have a charming view. The food is vegan and there are gluten-free options, but the best thing is that it's seasonal and local, which we loved. We saw that it is a space, in addition to being a cafeteria, open to cultural events where there are plenty of books and works to see. A stop to enjoy!

If you are celiac, $ you pay $ We chose this restaurant in San Lorenzo de El Escorial because it had gluten-free options, both in pizzas and pasta. The surprise was when they brought us the bill. For each "gluten-free" dish they charged us an additional fee. They brought us a normal menu and told us that we could order anything on the menu, which they made adapted with Gluten-Free dough or pasta, but nowhere did it say that because it was gluten-free, it was more expensive. I think it's abuse on their part. It is unethical to take advantage of intolerance to charge more and without notifying the customer of the price increase. We feel cheated.
