They offer amazing GF salads as well as gluten free pizza crust. They will change gloves and use new cutting utensils for pizza, but it is put into the same oven and surface as regular pizza, so there is a cross contamination risk.
Get ready for amazing pizza in a cozy vibe, but be prepared to shell out some cash for extras and bring a jacket!

The Gluten Free pizza is phenomenal. Probably top 3 in Charlotte, if not, number 1. With that being said, the service was very bad. We arrived at 5:15 and the hostess was very nice and seated us and made room for our baby. About a minute later, our server, Anthony came to the table. He asked if we wanted anything to drink and we just said water and he said he would come back. Well 25 minutes later my wife had to get up to find him so that we could order. Once we placed the order it took another 30 for the food to come out. We chose to eat before 5:30 since we were out with a baby and it was empty at that time. We never got an apology or anything. You can’t deny how great the pizza is, but the service was terrible this time.
Experience a chic NYC vibe with a lively atmosphere, an impressive wine selection, and vibrant energy perfect for gatherings in Charlotte!

They have a variety of options that are extremely safe for those that have celiac disease. A majority of items are already gluten free or can be made gluten free! The fryers are 100% gluten free along with a spare pizza oven. Any of the pizzas can be made gluten free. It is prepared on cauliflower crust! All pastas can be made gluten free and are prepared in separate boiler to maintain no cross-contamination. I was there for a girls night, so we just ordered small dishes to share. I’d love to try the pasta and pizza. The restaurant in itself is extremely nice.
With a funky vibe, this laid-back spot in Uptown boasts creative pizzas, lively atmosphere, and an impressive beer selection.

I would stay away from this location at all costs. Stopped in to grab dinner after a panthers game 11/24/24, obviously knew it was going to be busy and expected a long wait. The host/hostess said we were looking at an hour which again was no biggie considering there was a line out the door when we arrived. So strike number one, we are a family of 4, another family of 4 behind us in line proceeded to tip the hostess to get seated in front of everyone and sure enough they did. The host/hostess also proceeded to seat some their “friends” before everyone else too. To each their own, but shame on the hostess for taking the money and I hope management sees this and takes proper disciplinary action. Now after about a 45 minute wait we were seated, not quite the hour that we were expecting so could easily look past the bribing of from the people that got seated before us. Our waiter took our drink order brought the drinks back in a timely fashion and then took our order. We ordered 2 gluten free pizzas as one of our kids has celiac and the other was for someone who just doesn’t like to eat gluten, we also ordered a regular crust medium pepperoni pizza. After a few minutes of discussing the servers allergy in comparison to our sons allergy the server then proceeded to put our order in. Now here is strike 2, a while has passed by and our server comes by and says I think your order should be coming up shortly. Again not a big deal as I know they were busy, hence the hour wait to sit down, so no biggie. Then about 45 after we sat down the server comes to us and starts apologizing repeatedly that he has no idea why our food hasn’t come out yet. Mind you the entire time we as a family have been very understanding of the situation and not really sure why the server is apologizing so much, it’s busy we understand. After about an hour after sitting down our food comes out but there’s a problem, one of the gluten free pizzas was entered incorrectly as just an “allergy” so was prepared as dairy free. The other pizzas were prepared as they should be, but unfortunately the persons pizza that was incorrect was the one who has celiac. So the manager said they will put an urgent refire for the gluten free pizza, oh and this is just a gluten free “cheese” pizza. That ended up taking about another 30 minutes. Again, people make mistakes, it’s busy, shit happens, but we have now been at this establishment for well over 2 hours pushing into 3. Now here is strike 3, I’m not one who looks at getting anything for free, but when you’ve been at an establishment for almost 3 hours, been jumped in front of in line by money and friendship, and you finally get your order and the one person who needs it to be correct is wrong some sort of compensation should have been offered, but all we got were a lot of apologies. We paid our bill and I still tipped normal 20% as I know it was busy and not all faults fall on a server, but I people read this and take this into consideration when making a choice to eat at this locations.
Expect tasty crusts, quick service, and a cozy vibe that makes it a go-to for pizza nights with friends or family.

Edit: I've never been there before. I'm from out of town. I didn't know where to stand or where to order. The two ladies working around 11: oo (?) Sat were so friendly and helpful to me. They acted like I was a local and that I wasn't confused at all, lol. The half Pizza they suggested was perfect. Also, they asked me if my gluten order was because of an allergy or preference. No one's ever asked me that before. I am impressed.
Cozy and energetic, this gem offers a neighborhood vibe with attentive owners and consistently great food that keeps folks coming back.

This is an amazing place for gluten free options! They have GF options listed on their menu, but can modify many other items. They have gluten free pasta cooked in separate water and they offer rice crust and cauliflower crust pizzas cooked on separate surfaces. The owner doesn’t have celiac, but has the gene and is well aware of precautions that should be taken. I got the Chicken Parmesan which was modified from their menu. They grilled the chicken instead of frying and used GF pasta. We also got the burrata appetizer and they brought me my own GF bread. The bread is purchased from a local bakery. I can’t wait to go back and try the pizza!
Enjoy decent pizza with a variety of vegetarian and vegan options, but be prepared for some lackluster customer service.

When Modd opened a few years ago in Steele Creek our family was there all the time. Especially because of the gluten free options. Over the past few years the customer service and quality has really changed. Still we gave them some grace, and ebbed/flowed hoping for better. Yesterday was absolutely the last time we will be there. When we arrived the area that has the toppings for the pizza was A MESS - a complete disaster. Tomato sauce with full of so much cheese in the bin. Every item full of other items - black olives full of onions etc. The staff was very unprofessional. Very slow service (still we always give grace - to the guy making our pizza- maybe his first day - we were kind to him) .. still craving pizza and thankful for the gluten free option. WE ALL FELT sick after eating at this location. The common thing we all ate was the cheese. Please don’t go to the Steele Creek location - ain’t no body got time for filth and queaz 🤢 . (And the manager was there - in the back)… not anywhere near the front. We know who he is because in the past he has introduced himself to us. This place is gross. I mean really gross.
Hadn't been to Uncle Maddios in a while. I built my own pizza for lunch on a wheat crust. As always there's fresh veggies gluten free crust & other healthy options. I don't like the fact that u can't call in an order for lunch. Management said the reason is so they can focus on the customers in the store. I agree but think they should accept call in orders b/c everyone else does it & some people don't have an hour to eat.

We decided to try Fuel when our usual pizza spot was closed. I have celiacs and they were extremely knowledgeable and warned me about the risk of contamination being high due to both ovens being in use and wanted to make sure I was aware and okay with the risk or if I wanted to change my order. The food was absolutely amazing. The gluten free crust had the perfect crisp, my boyfriends calzone was one of the best he’s had and my kids ate all 6 garlic knots and an entire pizza.
We will definitely be coming back here again.
Unique personal pan pizzas and creative toppings steal the show, while lively vibes make for a fun dining experience with paper tablecloths to doodle on.

If yall have not tried their Sicilian or the new personal pan pizzas, THEN WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?! God, they're amazing. Easily best pizza I've had in a while. I hope it's here to stay cause that's my new go to now! It's crunchy, yet soft. It's thicccc but it's airy. Naaaaah, they got this perfected.
I highly recommend the Sweet Heat, it's got all the best things. Meat, pineapple, HOT HONEY! I also suggest adding bacon, but that's just me being fat. I crushed the whole pie and I can't wait to try it again with some different toppings!
I've tried their parm sandwiches in the past and they are delish! A friend got some gluten free pasta and he also loved that as well.
But seriously though, pls make those personal pan pizzas permanent! I need those in my life!
Great service and a commitment to quality make this spot a go-to for those seeking tasty pizza options.

One of the best gluten free pizzas I’ve ever had anywhere! My family also enjoyed their regular (not gluten free) pizzas. We’ll be back!
I’m originally from New York and am a pizza snob. Since having to go gluten free a few years ago, I miss real pizza. This was one of the closest things I’ve had (and I travel quite a bit). Very good!
The only constructive criticism I’d give for management to consider is implementing some training/protocols if a customer has an allergy/celiac to try to limit cross-contamination (like using a clean slicer and gloves). I know it’s a lot to ask for a pizza place but it would go a long way for some of us. With that said, the staff was kind and accommodating when I asked to use a clean slicer.
Unbeatable variety with standout options and a buzzworthy vibe, making it a must-visit spot for any food lover.

We just ate here for dinner, and it was fantastic! We have a few people in our family with dietary restrictions and so we got a gluten-free crust pizza and it was so good. You couldn’t even tell that it was gluten-free and tasted just as delicious!! The ambiance was fantastic and such a fun vibe- like you were inside a Coca Cola commercial! Our waiter was Andrew, and he was great answering all of our (many) questions and always checking up on us. We also got to meet the owner when asking about the AMAZING playlist, and he was very nice too. The food was AMAZING and perfectly cooked (definitely recommend the garlic Parmesan dressing/dipping sauce!). There was something for every member of our family and we can’t wait to show this place to others! Thank you!!
This cozy spot offers tasty options and great service, making it a go-to for last-minute meals without breaking the bank.

The gluten free pizza is the VERY BEST in town! Sometimes they can get it very crispy without being too brown & although that's our preference, it's still always more crispy compared to other gluten free pizzas. Although I don't, when eating it, The toppings are also very generous & all the way to the end of the crust. Unlike other places, you're not paying for and eating just a gob of crust and cheese. Can't recommend them enough!!

I'm a native New Yorker and have been living in Charlotte for about a year. Tony's, hands-down, is one of the best establishments for pizza that is comparable to the offerings up north. They offer a wide selection of toppings and other menu items like calzones, stromboli, subs, wings, etc. This is my go to spot for a calzone in Charlotte because they use both ricotta and mozzarella cheese. Additionally, they have other dough options for folks who need gluten-free or keto-friendly options. I've never been disappointed here.
Deliciously unique pizza experience with perfectly seasoned flavors, making it a great spot for a family outing and capturing fun moments!

Yum, pizza. Especially when you can't have wheat or gluten. Except for the run of the mill GF crust, it was wonderful. Delicious, hot, perfectly seasoned. I wish places like this had more freedom to make fluffy, wood stove GF pizza crust that's so doable these days but alas. Nevertheless I'll bring the kids next time and get pictures!

Ordered Gluten free and regular pizzas. Flavor was fantastic Great pizza over all. Gluten free was a thin cauliflower crust cooked well (not over or under cooked, which seems common). We all laved the flavor and quality.
It was once difficult to find decent gluten free pizza but with Hawthorne's near by its never too far. Their crust is thin and crunch on the edges but their ingredients and toppings are great. You have to get the balsamic glaze on the basil mozz pie.
Experience a fantastic spot where deliciousness is guaranteed, with quick service and dishes that keep customers coming back for more.

Pure deliciousness! As a gluten free vegetarian, I have tried so many different gf pizzas, and the gf pizza here is definitely the BEST I have ever had! On our last visit, Chris, the chef, made a gf vegetarian wrap filled with all kinds of goodies! So good!! My husband gets regular fare, and says the pizza is REALLY great! You can order, and enjoy your pizza next door at Lower Left Brewery with a cider or a beer on tap! A win win!!
