I only tried Alfalfa for the first time 2 weeks ago and today is my 3rd time getting it. Growing up in Jersey City, I love that the founders grew up in the area and they went to St. Peter's Prep. Gussy’s is simply the best! I have eaten in house and gotten delivery via DoorDash many times. I have Celiac Disease and always order their gluten free options. I’ve never had an issue. Their Goin’ Back to Cali sandwich is truly fantastic and HUGE.

I'm embarrassed to say it was the first time visiting in my 20+ years living in downtown JC. Even worse, I've been to every other taco place and this was my last to visit. If you're getting takeout, I'd recommend another taco spot but if you're eating in-person definitely visit. We had the shrimp ceviche and Carne tacos (5 minis w/ rice & beans for $17, super economical) for food. For drinks, we enjoyed 'The Neil' margarita (w/ one Marlee thrown in) and bubbles option. The waitors were extremely helpful and familiar with the menu. Celiac Annie felt at home and was able to partake in all the food options mentioned. I cannot wait to come back. Total package... Skinners loft was fun. My dining mate has severe food allergies, and they verified that the fryer wasn't cross contaminating with gluten. Super awesome. Most restaurants can't do that.
My dinner had hiccups. I got the watermelon salad, and the lettuce was bad. They fixed it and comped the salad part. Service was impeccable throughout this. The salmon was perfectly cooked, also.

I saw this place had a full Irish and I needed it you see because the last one I had was lacking, no puddings, which, it's not like they're my favorite thing but if you're gonna full Irish then go ahead and Irish me fully. And they did. It was delicious food, the breading on the tomato was a nice touch. I ate it too quickly. They had a Brewdog IPA (Elvis Juice) that went well with it, and then let me do a black magic (Guinness and Magic Hat #9).
They were also nice enough to let me move to a bigger table outside when my friends joined for some drinks along with a hairy baby!
Oh and they have a gluten free beer for my partner who said it was great. She wouldn't let me have any it was so good (not true, I was perfectly content with what I ordered). Ten for ten would recommend. Heck I'll take you just to go again. I do wish it wasn't only a brunch thing though.

Wow! I've lived in Hoboken & JC for four years and just tried Corto for the first time last night. Hands down our new favorite restaraunt. Every single person that worked there was knowledgeable about the menu, Aaron was our server and made such great suggestions. I'm so glad this place opened in my neighborhood! I am on a keto and gluten-free diet, so it's hard to find asian restaurants that cater to my needs. Zhang Liang works perfectly for my diet. I just avoid the sauces and bring my own tamari. The food is delicious! I especially like the tomato soup base. I also love how simple the process is to order. I’ve ordered their Pho (beef) three times and it’s been excellent all three times. The flavors are great. I have a gluten intolerance and was able to modify it so that I can eat it. The only thing that’s not gluten free is one of the sauces that comes on the side. I just subbed it with my own chili sauce and soy sauce.
