Be love is quite literally the best restaurant we've ever dined at. We've been several times now and have never been disappointed. The quality and portions are consistent, flavors are unbelievable. Everything is so fresh, you can really feel the love poured into every dish. A dream spot for anyone who is vegan and/or gluten free but ive also dined there with friends who are neither who have said it's the best food they've had. The food: Phenomenal. The smoothies are great, the bowls are savory and full of great stuff, the banh mi wrap is my all time favourite... everything is good, filling and healthy! One of the only places I can eat at that doesn't hurt my stomach afterwards (the girls get it). They serve fast, it's easy to order ahead and have meals that are ready to be taken out and cooked at home.
The service: Even better. They are kind, accommodating, personable and don't judge you when you've ordered the same thing three days in a row.
The location: Feels like a community space. They always have posters of local events, host local artists and it is wheelchair accessible! Based on all my experience there, I'd also say they are neurodivergent friendly - always patient, don't mind repeating themselves and are willing to adjust.
FYI: I'm not vegan or gluten-intolerant. :) I just love good food. Keep it up!

Went for dinner with my spouse on Father's Day. We barley even waited before we were sat at a table. Honestly I was very surprised given the day we were dining. Out server was really warm and attentive. He suggested and I ordered the Pink Gin Froze and it was really nice. Not too sweet but tasty. Would order again. Let our server know we had both Celiac and dairy allergy at our table and was very accommodating. I ordered the Chicken Parm burger on a gf bun with a side of gf mac & cheese. IT WAS SO GOOD and everything I wanted and hoped it would be. The sandwich packed with flavour and the perfect amount of messy. The mac & cheese was cooked perfectly with the gf noodles not overdone and the sauce thick and cheesy. My other half got the BLT chicken sandwich with fries. He really enjoyed it as well. If there is only one suggestion we could make it would be to offer dairy free cheese for the burgers. It's so hard to find dairy free cheese burgers literally anywhere. Given the how the menu is already set up, it would be a cool add on. Anyways, it didn't matter all that much because the chicken burgers were still amazing! We were too full for dessert as tempting as it looked on the menu. Such a great local gem and I look forward to visiting again!

I have been a longtime customer of Big Feast since it opened. I did slow down over the years just due to costs. I have gone back a few times in the last year and have not at all been very impressed (it's not like it used to be).
1.Today I went for brunch, we decided to sit outside but noticed after a bit that it was a bit chilly, so we got our menus and went back in to request to sit inside. Our server told us their heaters were not working this morning then went to get someone else with an unwelcoming facial expression who made a point of saying it is our policy we do not change tables and reluctantly sat us inside. Note it was not at all busy. I am not sure why she made a point of telling us about the policy, it did nothing but make us feel bad like we did something wrong. Instead, she could have said sure no problem and sat us inside without mentioning the policy OR let us know the rules ahead time.
2. The food was overpriced for what you get. I ordered the Thai curry. It lacked flavor and tasted of salt and vinegar. I had the same thing a couple of weeks ago at the cactus club and t was so delicious and cost the same. I had a sweet tooth and went to the showcase and ordered the pecan pie. It was not good at all hard as a rock and no flavor at all. I got my bill, and the pie was shockingly 10$ for a slice. Absurd. I can make whole gluten free homemade pie myself that tastes like something. 7$ may have been a better price. I said to the server the pie was 10$ and she says yep smugly and said it is homemade and the whole pie costs 75$. Ok thanks. If you need a good pie go to Hansel and Gretal bakery.

So happy to find gluten free options. Raspberry cheesecake was good. Nanaimo bar was flavourless. When I was young they had a barely-sweet, chocolate graham cracker base, custard buttercream layer (sweet) and real semi sweet chocolate on top. Now, everywhere not just here, they have no contrast, every layer is sweer, no custard taste and the base is greasy like a keto fat-bomb. Curious if this was a change to the original recipe or new style of Nanaimo bar?

Great celiac safe barbecue place! Everything is GF except waffles and regular buns, but they take precautions to keep celiac customers safe (changing gloves, etc). While it was great they had gluten free waffle options, you only get 1 Belgium waffle and if you’re hungry, it won’t be enough. An order of thick cut bacon on the side helped fill the void. Oat milk for our coffees was nice, and the coffee cup sizes are kind of small given the $5 charge. Overall, it was decent - it was a breakfast start to a busy morning - but we’d likely go elsewhere for more value and larger portions.

This place is one of the best restaurants we've been to in a while. Everything we had was fantastic: Beef tenderloin carpaccio, smoked chicken penne, pan seared miso halibut, blackened creole chicken.
My wife has celiac and they have a lot of options. The gluten free penne was probably the best GF pasta she has tried.
We also had a few cocktails and they were all well made. Earl Grey Martini was a stand out for me.

Very disappointing to say the least, save your money and go somewhere else. Both deep fried dishes came cold and soggy from sitting on the pass while we waited for an entree salad and a burger to catch up. $4 for a gluten free bun is absurd but good on the bartenders for a delicious spicy marg. One of the best gluten free breads I’ve had in a while. It’s like a slightly denser, nuttier flavor than a buttermilk biscuit would have. Very filling but not overly so. I didn’t try a sandwich although the salmon one looked so good, they were a bit pricey for my budget right now. Just the bread with butter and jam was perfect.
Safety: they said they use different starches to substitute the flour and have a designated cooking space for the GF breads. The potential cross contamination comes from the shared kitchen where they prep things which is why it’s referred to as gluten friendly. I have celiac disease and am being moderately careful (traveling internationally is hard), if you’re being 100% careful you may react but I feel okay.
This expansive venue offers a casual yet lively atmosphere with options to sit quietly or in a social lounge. Notably, it features a dedicated gluten-free fryer and a menu rich in gluten-free and plant-based choices, ensuring a safe and satisfying experience for those with celiac disease.
