My husband and I are from Houston and visit Galveston often, but this spot is officially going on our must-visit list every time we’re in town. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, cozy, and inviting. The restaurant was packed, but we were seated quickly by the sweetest staff member, Sherry, who made us feel genuinely welcome. Our server, Blanca, was an absolute gem—kind, attentive, and quick to bring me a full gluten-free menu the moment I mentioned my food allergies (gluten and dairy). I had called ahead to ask if I could bring my own dairy-free alternatives, and the staff was incredibly accommodating. And the best surprise? They have gluten-free bread! For anyone with celiac or dietary restrictions, you know how exciting that is. The food was absolutely phenomenal. Every bite was flavorful and clearly made with care. On top of that, every staff member we interacted with was so friendly and quick to strike up a conversation. We never once felt like we were just another table to turn over—there was so much heart in the service and it truly made the experience stand out. We left full, happy, and already looking forward to our next visit. Can’t recommend this place enough!

My family and I had a wonderful time here. The wait staff was very kind and accommodating to some of us needing gluten free options. They even had their own gluten free menu which made it very easy to find what we wanted to eat. My wife is not gluten free and loved the bread. Not to mention, all pasta and pizza dough is made from scratch every morning. I love the idea of knowing my food hasn’t been sitting for days in a fridge. When I’m back in South Padre, I would dine here again.

This place has such a good vibe! The burgers and all-beef hot dogs are amazing, the fries are ginormous and the staff are so nice! They even have a Gluten-free bun! We have been there twice now and we will certainly be back!

Amazing food! I thought it was vegetarian and was so surprised to find out it was totally vegan and gluten-free! I truly didn’t miss anything. Packed with flavours and spices. Cute decor. Was a little hard to find but totally worth it. Great place. Highly recommend and we’ll be back.

Asked for a drink menu, and the waitress said, it's in the regular menu, with an attitude. Then left us waiting for 15 minutes. We clearly wanted to order a second drink, but she was not interested in giving us service. We loved that the menu was Gluten Free, but it wasn't worth the price. The drink we ordered was $20 each, which ended up being very nice. We would have ordered more drinks and desert, but it just didn't work out. The manager noticed our displeasure and sent our waitress over, in which the waitress responded by walking up and asking, 'did you need something?' She was not kind. We spent over $100 for an appetizer and one shared meal and 2 drinks total. Would have spent more, but not while being ignored and disrespected. From my perspective, the food was not worth the price.

This place was amazing! Beautiful atmosphere, wonderful plentiful food. Especially the gluten free options and marked on the menu. Super sweet staff lady who helped us with my gluten allergy! And yummy food and dessert! Our favorite was the sweet pork queso!

My boyfriend and I chose this restaurant, despite its distance from our gate, precisely because of the reviews. Our gate is at Gate C, and we walked to Gate E, where Pappadeaux is located. Airport restaurants usually have the worst ratings, but this place has 4.5 stars, and after visiting it, I understand why. First, their service is some of the best I've ever received. They took the time to cook our dish two different ways, since my boyfriend is allergic to gluten. They were always attentive to us, even though the place was packed. The food was quite delicious, highly recommended!

I went tonight and had the gluten-free fried catfish, hush puppies, beans, and green beans for dinner. The catfish was delicious but maybe lacked a little bit of seasoning. I added a little salt and pepper and ate with my beans and it was fantastic. The hush puppies were to die for. I would go back just for an order of those, or 2! I did wish that they had gluten-free gravy to go with some mashed potatoes. I think that would have paired nicely. also, I asked about getting the fried chicken next time and it is not gluten free nor is the gravy they have there.... but my husband had that and really liked both. he did think the chicken was a little under seasoned as well but the gravy made it fantastic.

We had a wonderful experience at Plank Provisions. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The dishes have interesting flavors and are plated beautifully. Lots of gluten free options, even dessert! The only thing I would change is the temperature of the chocolate peanut butter dessert. It was frozen solid when we got it, which made it difficult to eat. The flavor would be so much more enjoyable if it wasn't so hard. But we loved our dinner and will return whenever we're in town.

I and my wife do not usually give reviews. However, Huck's deserves an enormous great review. The service is friendly, knowledgeable, and just all around great. The food is really tasty. Portions are very generous in todays economy of raising prices and cutting portions to barely a decent meal. For those with gluten issues such as my wife. They offer the catfish batter with cornmeal and seasoning is ohhhh so good. The only negative is we do not live in the area. We wish Mable Fall TX had a Huck's like this one. We eat hear as often as we can when visiting family in Denison TX

Pros: Service was excellent. Our server was kind and responsive. The views really are gorgeous and it’s a great time of year to be outside. The GF options are clearly defined. Food: I got the grilled fish tacos. This is NOT a place I would go with celiac. Although our sever was truly amazing and willing to figure out anything, there was no mention that the fries had gluten. The food was a solid three stars for me. The ingredients are fresh and the fish and burger were cooked well. But everything was a bit lacking. The green beans tasted frozen to me. They very well just could have been steamed, but they tasted bland to me. (And I really like green beans.) I wished the corn tortillas were heated. They were straight out of the bag, and the fish was cold. That being said, I took my extra one home because the Tuna was super solid and well seasoned. The ceviche was Tex-mex? I’m not sure what was going on. It was more of a saucy salsa style rather than a cut up, pico type, of salsa. Again, the fish was fresh. I loved the shrimp in it but overall me and my husband were disappointed with it. For highly sensitive people, it’s very loud. But it’s a very popular local spot on the beach so that is to be expected. I was glad I brought my sunglasses as it’s open to the outside. If you’re looking for great views, solid food, and a casual eat out, this is a decent option. I don’t know what else Corpus has to offer but people seem to love it. Our Airbnb even recommended it. I would wager a bet that their fried fish options are super solid. I just couldn’t partake with my gluten allergy. But given how well my fish was cooked, and the other reviews, I’d go for those meals.

While this place is cute the food and service were a massive let down. As a gluten free family we were really hopeful. We waited an hour after ordering to recieve a doughy, majorly undercooked pizza, 2 wrong orders, overcooked noodles, and what tasted like canned sauces. On top of that if we wanted an appetizer order of gluten free bread it would be $10 for prepackaged bread. I can ok paying $10 for homemade gluten free bread, but $10 for the stuff i can get for $6 at Aldi? No way. As for those wrong orders? They rushed trying to make them right making them messed up STILL. The lemon wine sauce was straight up wine with some lemon squirted in it and my filet would have tasted better if it was from a texas roadhouse, at least it would have had flavor. $30 for an unseasoned steak and very very sour and off tasting horseradish potatoes was not worth it. The food was such a disappointment I turned down dessert, which for me is a big deal. I just didn't want to order a cream brulee and have it taste like eggs or something. Overall this place wasn't worth the price nor the insane wait when we arrived at a very slow time.

Portions were small for appetizer. The salad hardly had any dressing and a weird seasoning was on the bacon and salmon. I let them know I had a gluten allergy, but I don't think they are up to date on all ingredients that contain gluten, I got an allergic reaction.

Gaidos is a standard in Galveston and it's clear why! The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. They assisted with any questions I had regarding gluten free items on the menu and were able to make great recommendations. Our appetizer and dessert were amazing, I'm still dreaming about the soup of the day made by the chef! I was a bit disappointed for my entree as the sides and the meat used the same seasoning so the dish lacked depth, but everything else was amazing. The gift shop inside is also very cute.

We love the HH and Early Dine menus! Everything is great, and they have a special gluten-free menu and complimentary gf bread. We usually eat here at least twice a month. The fried mushrooms, not gf, and crab cakes are 2 of my favorites on the HH menu. Everything else is good, as well. You can't beat the prices and they give a military discount.

Authentic sushi, try the chef choice sushi, you will love it! Also, if you have gluten allergy let the waiter know, they offer gluten free food choices on the menu and they can also change the ingredients to make the dishes gluten free. They also offer gluten free soy sauce, which is awesome.

We went for dinner. The patio was open with music. They had a crawfish boil going on out front. The food was great. We ordered peel and eat shrimp, blacked fish with shrimp and oysters with the risotto. All was gluten free. My husband ordered a burger. Great food. The blood orange limeade was really good :)

My family and I dined here several days ago during our vacation in South Padre. The restaurant esthetically is pleasing, or at least isn’t a bore. It’s on the water, so many customers have that view available to them. The food was neither great, nor horrible. Unfortunately though the service we received from our waiter was off-putting and rude. Many in my family eat gluten-free, and Jimmy, our waiter, was not accommodating with our diet restriction. He seemed to scoff at our questions about the menu, like he was annoyed by our curiosity. He seemed impatient with us struggling to find something we wanted from their menu.

If you have celiac disease, you do NOT want Cheryl as your server. When I questioned why the blackened items weren't considered gluten free, she threw up her hands with an exasperated look and promptly handed my party over to another server, Logan. This was a blessing and he deserved the 33% tip we gave him.

My mother and I love Olive Garden, it is always our first choice when we go out together. My mom is highly allergic to gluten, therefore she always picks the gluten free items. However, no one ever told my mom (in the many years) that we go to Olive Garden that the “ meatballs”that come with the gluten free spaghetti are made with gluten. Our waitresses were Joann and Tyler. They were both very attentive and cautious about my moms gluten intolerance…thank you both for telling my mom about the gluten in the meatballs; as now she thinks if she ever went home and got sick in the past from eating them??? We will be returning back to this location in the future, thank you again for your wonderful service.

Easy to book, initial service great. Asked about a gluten free bread option for a patty melt and it all started to fail from that point. Initial order ok, some alcohol, an appetiser for 2, and patty melts (one regular, one with gluten free bread). Patty melts never arrived after an hour and we asked and they re checked our initial order. Blamed the kitchen for being confused, but I think they forgot to put the orders through. They arrived 5 mins later. No swiss cheese, looking overdone. Taken away to sort and arrived later. Other cheese mix was used, non-gluten free patty melt meal had burnt patty and burnt bread and some odd cheese mix that had set like rubber. Complained again but past feeling hungry. Given them their due, we only paid for alcohol in the end. However, it was the worst meal I can recall in many years. Warning: make sure they fully understand what’s required for gluten free as you order. We won’t be visiting again… I’ve now altered my review (overall star rating) based on a discussion I’ve since had with the Gen Mgr, and I believe it was a one off issue, and he has already used it as the basis for training and I thank him for offering credit and moreso for reaching out to me.
