Great spot for happy hour! And lots of options too. If you’re gluten free - ask for their separate gluten free menu (love to see it!)
We did the Sunday all day happy hour and were so excited to try a few new things. It’s still pricey but worth it ☺️
Enjoy unique sushi rolls and a fun cocktail menu in a friendly vibe, with a focus on accommodating various preferences and dietary needs.

The staff is beyond kind. Sitting at the sushi bar was a delightful experience. They have lots of gluten free options including California rolls which seems to be rare. Staff is careful with gluten free and marks plates clearly. Will be returning for the sampler!

Great staff, food is very fresh, lots of choice for vegans and gluten free, love the concept of keeping it local, sustainable, and great drink options. Can’t say enough good things about this place!
Revel in the top-notch service blended with impressive gastronomic delights, but make a note to reserve ahead due to high demand.

Surprisingly not a good selection of gluten free options, but the food is still good. The wedge salad does some with beats (which is a fun twist) but the thousand island dressing is a big no. The steak was perfect and the artichokes were so much fun! Def getting those next time.
This spot dazzles with its beautiful sushi presentation and top-notch service, making it a must-visit for sushi lovers!

AMAZING GLUTEN FREE SUSHI! The only thing better than the food was our server Rex. Rex was working hard, constantly moving and checking in on tables to see if anyone needed anything. He was a genuine kind and smiling face throughout the entire meal.
Every roll was spectacular in appearance and taste. I haven’t had such great service and food in a long time.
I was pleasantly surprised to find so many gluten free options! They have gluten free soy sauce (tamari) and many rolls can be made gluten free. Beautiful establishment and staff! I will be coming here again!

Such good sushi! The fish is always fresh and they are so accommodating with food allergies and restrictions. They have so many gluten free options and are very meticulous when placing and packing up orders. Banzai is definitely one of my favorite sushi spots in Denver

Ansel is the best bartender in town. I haven’t had a bee’s knees this good in years. The kitchen is gluten friendly and made me an exceptional yellowtail roll. The oysters are fresh and should not be missed

I have been coming here for years and always feel so taken care of. I am celiac and they're happy to accommodate, giving me gluten free soy sauce, leaving the dressing off the salad, and they will make the spicy rolls without the tempura crunch if you request it.
Such a great deal compared to other sushi restaurants while providing bigger and tastier cuts of fish.
Expect an elegant ambiance, free parking, and a clean, minimalistic atmosphere that's far from cold. You'll be back for more!

I love the fresh, vegetarian- and gluten-free sushi at this restaurant. The elegant ambiance and free parking are also pluses. I always order the eggplant fried rice with diablo sauce, which is absolutely delicious! It's spendy, but worth every penny.
My oh my, melt in my mouth.
Arrived with a group of friends on Sunday shortly after opening time. Amongst ourselves we shared several different rolls, while my husband order the NY strip and nigiri. Gluten free options were clearly indicated on the menu for my gluten-free husband, and our waiter even brought over GF soy sauce for him. Brownie points for the GF awareness.
Now on to the rolls.. the rolls seemed to be delivered (mostly) in order of deliciousness, which may have been intentional, haha! We got the goku rolls first. Because I'm a crazy fruit-on-sushi lover, we ended up getting two of the Goku rolls because I wanted to have one all to myself. The goku roll is spicy tuna with salmon, topped with mango lemon puree. Loved the sweetness of the mango puree!
After the goku, we got the ronin and mini shrimp tempura rolls which we enjoyed more than the goku roll. The ronin is tempura bincho topped with spicy tuna. I love how the tuna just seems melts away in your mouth! The mini shrimp tempura roll was delicious, topped with spicy tuna and trout roe. Although the mini roll is a special, I believe it appears fairly frequently on the daily special menu.
Next we got the dragon roll, which seemed to pale in comparison to the previous rolls, but was still decent.
Lastly, we got the Godzilla roll, which out-shined all of the previous rolls for everyone. Talk about the perfect surf n' turf roll! I typically don't enjoy steak on my sushi by any means, but this was an unusual exception. The Godzilla roll is snow crab, topped with seared beef and black garlic butter. Highly recommend! Despite my love for fruity sushi, the Godzilla roll was clearly the winner and roll we should have order two of.
Excellent service, fresh fish, and reasonable pricing.

The staff was super fast and really cared about our request for gluten free options of which they had many. The bonus was that they didn’t seem to be annoyed and were really willing to help us which is not always the case. Food was excellent. A little expensive but well worth it for the atmosphere, food and service. I was so amazed by the dinner we ordered, I forgot to take a photo! I’ll take a picture next time, we are definitely coming back!

We have ordered for pick-up and delivery. The food is always excellent. My daughter has celiac disease and we noted her gluten allergy on the order and they were very careful.
Incredibly fresh sushi! Very clean, exceptional staff, they were able to accommodate my gluten and soy allergy, and lovely atmosphere and plate presentation! Would highly recommend a visit!

We've been to Matsuhisa a handful of times and it's an amazing experience every single time.
Ask for "THE EXPERIENCE" and I won't say anything else about it except for to trust your server and trust the chef. Literally cannot go wrong! It's hands down the best sushi and Japanese food you'll find anywhere.
* we are also gluten free so they made every dish to meet our restriction which makes the dining experience that much better *

Excellent service especially with a gluten free person in our party. Love the vegan / veggie menu. The eggplant sushi is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. 💕

First off the staff was friendly and showed us directly to the gluten free page in the menu. The sake was great. The sushi came fairly quickly and the presentation was nice. The sushi overall was pretty good minus the red snapper which was inedible. The mos burrito was super tasty and love the spicy mayo it came with. Overall I would return for the price point and okay sushi. If you’re looking for high end sushi this is definitely not the place for you.
Expect a lively vibe with accommodating service and solid sushi that won't break the bank, making it perfect for families.

It’s a busy environment, but had really kind waitresses who were so accommodating to a family of five. Food was quite good. It isn’t the highest end sushi, but it also isn’t priced like the highest end sushi.
Lots of good gluten free options for celiac among the sushi. No kitchen dishes (thought the rest of the family got one that looked great).

This place is awesome! Seems like a hidden gem.
Ramen was flavorful and hearty (gluten free noodle options), sushi was yummy and creative. Lots of different options for spicing and additions to your dish.
Staff were so sweet and helpful; making sure our order was correct and helping me carry to the car.
It's in a food hall, so keep that in mind if you want to dine in.
Highly recommended, will definitely be returning!
Very friendly staff and chefs, and the sushi is of course top-notch. A lot of people will complain that the restaurant is "dirty" because it has an outdated interior, but there really isn't anything dirty about the food, kitchen, or eating area, which is all I care about. They have an awesome all-you-can-eat selection and the chefs are very easy to talk to if you have any requests. They also do gluten-free flawlessly (You have to ask, but they can make it Celiac friendly too!) and the staff is personable. It's my go-to sushi place over Happa and Sushi Den for a reason. 5 stars.
