Went here twice over the weekend, and as vegans the options are pretty underwhelming. You can get gluten free blue corn waffles/pancakes, or anything that has eggs can be made with tofu or vegan egg. The first day I chose tofu breakfast tacos, and the tofu was cubed, not seasoned whatsoever and pan fried for maybe 2 minutes. The pinto beans also had no seasoning. It also took 40 minutes to get our check and we were planning to order more drinks but were unable to since they waited that long to come to our table. The restaurant was not overwhelmingly busy at the time. The second day I ordered the vegan egg omelet and it was cooked in butter, and made me very sick very quickly.
Overall the options were fine because they are the only options for vegans in all of Taos basically.

staff, owners, all very attentive and personable.
personally I’d like to see a few more gluten free bread options, which is what many of us relied upon from Wild Leaven (whole rye, whole spelt, millet, etc)
Now that Wild Leaven is gone, I would say that Bread Club, while not filling that particular gap, is certainly one of the most conscious bakeries Taos now.

This is my favorite place to order food in Taos. At most restaurants, I find one plate and order only that. But at Bodega, I try anything on the menu because I know I will love it, no matter what. The house-made gluten-free foccaccia has been my favorite for a long time, and it keeps getting better! I love the guava or passionfruit sodas. The jalapeño cole slaw and the house-made pickles are so good. I recommend the brisket banh mi and the 40/40 club, for starters. There's also soup to go in the fridge and lots of pantry staples. Plus, the consumer experience is unparalleled - always good service and always good tunes.

The HEALTH FOOD is a fun way to start the day with some pinon coffee and the famous apple fritters (the best I literally have ever had in any town, state, or country!) But get there early, all bakery items sell out each day.
My wife and kids usually get the smothered hashbrowns or the stuffed sopapillas- we usually get Christmas (half red/ half green sauce) and my veggie people always get the vegetarian sauce (which does have gluten fyi).

The food is REALLY good and fresh and the owner is so sweet and wonderful! I went for the first time last night while visiting Taos for a week and had some questions about gluten-free options on the menu. The owner had lots of great information and options for me, which is not typical of most Chinese restaurants I’ve been to. The beef and chicken tastes really fresh and tender but not fatty or gristly. Everything is delicious and I would definitely go again!
