Crushing a container of nugs right now and thought I’d take a sec to spread the good word. This is my easy food spot, it’s right around the corner from my home. Everything (???) is gluten free (which is awesome because I am allergic ), but eat their chicken nugs and you’d never be able to tell. These things slap SO hard. The coating is so crunchy and delicious, they’re salty and always tender. The dirty nugs are best and make sure you get their ranch, it’s so dilly and delicious. These nugs are tried and true - I have turned all of my friends onto them too. Bonus: they come out to like $6 after tax.

I had a burger with a gluten free bun and my husband had the chicken salad salad with soup. We both loved our meals. I also tried a gluten free beer and it was delicious. Will be going back!

Wow! Vegan food that doesn’t even taste vegan?! This was a great find! Pingala Cafe & Eatery is a really cool cafe right on the banks of the Winooski River - you can sit outside on their porch and listen to the water flowing nearby! They have an excellent selection of salads, snacks, sandwiches, bowls, and other food - all vegan! It’s very healthy, and I believe almost everything is organic too?! Almost all foods can be made gluten-free as well, which is an added benefit. It looks like they have a good amount of different coffee drinks, so I’ll have to try that next time. However, regarding their food, their Crunchwrap Burger Bowl was really good - the girl behind the counter said many other things are as well. Other people are saying the French toast puffs are to die for, so I’ll be trying that next time too. I like the atmosphere of this place, prices are reasonable, and there is ample parking. All positives! Great place! Check it out!

Their gluten free options are fabulous!!! (No specific menu, but you just have to ask) I haven't had French toast in YEARS. Very busy little restaurant. Luckily we got a seat near the window, which helped with the noise level.

My girlfriend and I were coming back home to NY from a day of skiing at Okemo and were craving some good food. We found The Publyk House while searching for locations on our route home. It looked good, the menu options looked great, and decided to stop. We weren't exactly dressed for dinner out, but no one commented and everyone was extremely friendly and cordial. The atmosphere and volume of the dining area we sat in (just past the hostess' podium) was perfect. There was a rustle and bustle, but not so loud that we couldn't still talk quietly between ourselves and still be heard. She ordered a Pomegranate and Lemon Drop cocktail, I ordered the Rumchata Iced Latte. Both were quite enjoyable. For an appetizer, we opted for the Baked Brie (with Gluten Free option Crostini) which considering the chill of the day, hit the spot so perfectly. For our main meals, she ordered the surf-and-turf style sirloin tips, medium rare, with baked potato. I ordered the Hawaiian Chicken; both came with a fresh baked mini loaf of bread and the Publyk House's own maple butter, as well as a salad bar which we absolutely loved. The salad bar had just enough offerings to let us make it our own, while not having so many options to be overwhelming. Our waitress, Alyssa, was positively great at her job. She seemed just between boisterous and happily familiar with us, just excited to serve us and make us feel welcomed, she was also attentive to us, but not overbearing. While eating, the employee responsible for the kitchen was on the floor to answer a question about an item and if it was Gluten Free. Later on, I saw that same employee in the back smiling and laughing with the other staff. It's a sign of a great workplace and environment when things run well, and the staff get along. Overall this was a fantastic experience, and we plan to make this place a regular stop!

If its a nice summer day in Stowe, the Idletyme patio is the best place to dine. Casual and friendly with tasty food. I had a burger on a GF bun. The burger with lettuce, tomato, maple dipped bacon and jalapeno aioli was perfectly done the way I asked for it. The gluten free bun fell apart, but that's a common problem with the GF buns served in many restaurants.
