Early dinner on a weekday. Restaurant was largely empty but began to fill up after we finished our meal. Really nice seating and bar area. Hostess was friendly and helpful. Service was very good and she was able to provide a lot of information regarding the gluten free menu items. The gluten free menu is pretty extensive which was great! Had the cheese steak spring rolls which were absolutely delicious! Crab cake and fish sandwich were enjoyable. Dessert was upside down pineapple cake which we really liked as well. Drinks were also made well - we had the espresso martini which we would definitely order again! The only issue we encountered was the bathroom soap dispenser was broken so we couldn't wash our hands. That was a little frustrating but they helped resolve the situation. I would definitely return again to try more menu items!
Wonderful gluten free bakery with great breakfast sandwiches, and lunch! If you're in the area and you have Celiac, I highly recommend checking it out!
They were stellar from the moment we walked in. They had my mind at ease immediately assuring me they donât even bring gluten into the building. The food was amazing it felt like a 5 star dining experience. The whole menu being gluten free and without worries of cross contamination it was a fantastic experience with food and service. I will be returning for all of my events worth celebrating. Not to mention a full side menu of mocktails đ
One of my absolute favourite to go places for breakfast/lunch! I tried almost everything on the menu and quality of food is excellent! Everyone can find something, they have vegan and gluten free options too. But for me, Huevos Rancheros, Summer Cod, Cobb Salad and peach pie are top choices! New location in Arlington also has a big garage parking and easy access as well.
We left about ten minutes ago. Eric was our server and I canât put into words how phenomenal his service was. He knew the ins and outs of the main and gluten free menu and he checked on us often but not too much. Ericâs demeanor was kind and welcoming and service is exactly what we all imagine when we say âThey donât make them like this anymore.â Excellent experience.
Talk about a wonderful place. Originally my first time going to this store was 2 pick up cupcakes that were both gluten and dairy free. I was then told to go in the mornings to see what treats that had out. I have gone twice now and will most certainly be returning. Not only is the treats super delicious (my favorite being the Cinnaminis), but the staff is super friendly and kind. They donât hesitate to answer your questions and can tell they are putting fourth there best effort into their work. Highly recommend, iâll be back!
Had to wait a few minutes to get seated as they were busy. Obviously popular so that's good. Lots of gluten free and vegan options which were clearly marked on the menu and much appreciated. The food was delicious and the staff helpful and friendly.
The food was just as amazing as the service! Everything was delicious, and I had the best French toast Iâve ever tasted. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. Gluten free options were also available here!
The food was really really good, I got the fried chicken, the crab cakes and we got the chocolate cake. They were all gluten free and delicious. The building though was so old, and it smelled awful, was very dusty and was a bit hard to breath because it was so musky. Iâve been to some restaurants that were in older buildings and none of them have been like that. Then our service was really bad also. So food-5 stars, atmosphere-1 star service-1 star. There is outdoor seating so maybe itâs worth it to sit outside and eat in the fresh air. They had a ton of gluten free options though.
Came here on Valentineâs Day. My server Lexi made sure my meals would be shellfish and gluten free. Also love how many gluten free options there are too. I had the devils pass dip which was so flavorful and had the cheeseburger which was good too. Also tried the chocolate decadence which is gluten free too, very rich chocolate flavor
Our waitress was Frances. She was very charismatic and very knowledgeable about gluten free foods. My wife has celiac disease and this her greatest concern when it comes to trying a new food location. It was an amazing experience!
High ceilings and Southwest decor make Sweetwater Tavern a compelling restaurant. Great sandwiches and sides served by an attentive team of wait staff. They have their own beer on tap. The owners understand the needs of customers who have Celiac disease and offer gluten-free menu without being asked. Worth experiencing!
I love the food here. It is so flavorful and the portions are nice sized. They are as kids friendly as they can be with the older adult atmosphere. I recommend the burgers. The wine selection is fantastic! They have a great gluten feee menu.
I was really excited to try this spot and was a little disappointed. Great and extensive menu with gluten-free, vegan, and healthy options.
I ordered the pancake combo, and my pancakes were undercooked. They were perfectly brown on the outside, but the inside wasn't cooked through enough.
My server was friendly and the restaurants decor matches it's name.
Great flexible eating offering lots of gluten free options. Turkey burger was dry but flavorful. Glazed salmon was fantastic. Pork buns were rich, smokey, spiced and delicious.
We always stop by Blue Ridge Bagels when we are in Lynchburg. They have gluten free options, almost anything on their menu. The food and coffee is delicious!
3 of us had dined at Flower Child about 2 years ago. We enjoyed our lunch here again. Long queue to order but once ordered our food came out fast. Drinks & cutlery self service.
We all enjoyed our dishes. I had the Mother Earth Bowl & added chicken. One friend had chopped vegetable salad đ„ & added salmon. Another friend had the chicken enchiladas. We shared lemon đ oil cupcake đ§ which is gluten free. We also had mango sencha green iced tea đ„€
Visiting from NYC. A great vegetarian/vegan/gluten free option place. Itâs a Black owned business that promotes books and creative arts. We started off with Brussel sprouts with Balsamic vinaigrette. It was hot and had a good taste. The latte (not pictured) was very flavorful. Gluten free pancakes had a buttermilk flavor to them but a little stiff. I had the Sweet Potato hash and it was ok, a little stiff bland for me. I would recommend this place and come back on my visit.
Surprisingly good food. Thought it was a chain with typical type good but everything was fresh and flavorful. Lots of gluten free options - onion roll for the burger for example! Yummy.
Wonderful experience. They were pretty busy, and a storm was coming in, so they were in the process of moving outside parties to inside tables. Even with all of that, wait time was 10 minutes. We decided to sit at the bar. We were thrilled to see they had so many gluten-free options. I had the shrimp and crab pasta without any reaction. My fiance had the bacon, egg, and cheddar smash burger and was in pain đą The service and experience overall was nice. Next time, we will verify they have a dedicated space to cook. Pretty sure he was Cross contaminated.
Great food and service! There are a great variety of menu items for those who need gluten free and dairy free choices! It was hard to select from them, but we went with the burgers and ribs, with french fries - both the potato and sweet potato. Both were excellent, and the ribs were some of the best! The service was great also, and the server was very knowledgeable about the menu and gluten free options for us. We would highly recommend them!
I thought it was weird that the check in staff made us wait until exactly our 7:00 reservation to seat us when we had gotten there a bit early (12 minutes) considering there were several booths in the bar open which is what we requested. Kayla was our waitress and since we had been there mutliple times, we knew exactly what we wanted and gave her our drink and dinner order at the same time. After 40 minutes of sitting there without bread or our wine, while I sat and saw our wine sitting up on the end of the bar, and I saw other tables who had been sat after us receiving their bread and wine, I got a litttle annoyed. After 45 minutes, our dinner finally came out before our bread - ridiculous. Kayla got very snippy with me tellling me the kitchen was backed up and she was doing her best - in a bitchy tone - which I thought was clearly an excuse as I saw other wait staff having no problem bringing wine and bread to their tables. She got my son's dinner order wrong and then she decided to completely ignore us- literally she never came back to our table! After I went up to the front desk twice over a period of 15 minutes to ask them to send our server to the table, a manager finally intervened. Dana (manager) was very gracious and apologetic and offered to remove the bill totally which was nice but I refused. I don't have a problem paying for my food but I do have a problem being chastised by my wait staff for asking for simple courtesy. Dana did give us two free dinner entree and wine cards for a future use which I thought was a lovely gesture. We go to CH a lot and have a membership but I think this might just be the end of that. One reason we like it so much is their gluten free options and their bread, but honestly, what was supposed to be a nice birthday celebration for my adult children turned into a fiasco because of a childish, immature waitress. Kayla ranks right up there as the WORST waitress I have ever experienced in any establishment!
Overall okay. The food was just average. We had a Ruben, a Chicken Caprese sandwich, and salmon dinner. I will say o was disappointed that the gluten free rolls you get for a substitution are the exact same.rolls they put a gluten free chicken sandwich on. I guess I was expectingn2 different things. I will say the service was great though and the prices were reasonable.
Very good fried chicken & waffle breakfast, flavorful even though it's two thin breast cutlets rather than thigh meat, and the gravy & more savory zesty syrup were also very tasty! Mixed review from the kid on the gluten free coconut quinoa pancakes. They were out of black tea, disappointing. Even though we were the sixth party of two in line, they got us seated fast.
Great alternative brunch spot! Excellent GF waffles (both sweet and savory), but GF protein choices are limited. This spot consistently makes a kick ass cup of coffee.
Went for a late lunch after visiting the Childrens Museum. The burgers were phenomenal, very tasty beef and homemade gluten free buns. Duck fat fries were an extra special treat. Topped it all off with milkshakes.
The silver diner is a great restaurant, offering a variety of foods vegan as well as all gluten-free, many of choices. You can ask for breakfast, also can have lunch or dinner our during breakfast hours. Sebastian was our server today he has a great personality, quick server and very polite. I would recommend the silver diner if youâre in the Fairfax area.
This is a great restaurant!!! Wonderful staff, but pretty expensive! The atmosphere is vibrant and relaxing. The Bay Benditict is cheesy, creamy, and savory! The Kids French Toast is buttery and chewy, sweet and sugary; and the Kids Slider is hearty, inviting, and crumbly. The Grilled Salmon was comforting, moist, and flavorful, while Hickory Smokehouse Chedder Burger was filling, colorful, and finger-licking. The steak was delightful and savory, and the Hamburger was flavorsome and bright! The Gluten Free Quinoa Coconut Pancakes was fragrant, mouth-watering, and fruity. The Bread Pudding was velvety and luxurious; and the Apple Pie was crunchy with rich, creamy ice cream. The brownie was delectable and smooth on the outside and crispy on the inside. I recommend the Bread Pudding, the French Toast, and the Bay Benditict!Overall, we will be visiting again!
I had dinner at True Food and it was excellent. Lots of menu variety for gluten free and vegan individuals. Our meatloaf (non gluten free) and burger were tasty, prepared exactly the way we requested. The service and ambience was outstanding. When you go, ask for Fernanda to be your waitress. Sheâs very customer oriented and kind. Emerson the Manager brought out our food and was very professional and helpful. True Food is a great place to eat!
I had not been here in about 8 years but my brain remembered that the food was amazing. I'm now gluten free and I was impressed by the options. The food was phenomenal just like I remembered. The prices weren't as high as I remembered which was a nice treat!

Loved Silver Diner! Great soup and sandwich combo's, and overall great atmosphere. There's something fun and nostalgic about old school American diners.
Silver Diner does have a modern twist though in that they have healthier vegan, and gluten-free options and they source their ingredients from local farms and purveyors, which is cool!
Well, here is my honest review. When we walked in, there were three employees behind the stand. One was busy on the phone and the other two were just standing around and giggling. We stood there for about a minute and no one acknowledged us. I literally turned around and opened the door and said âI guess they are closed.â (Nigel - you can actually check the camera because itâs a great feedback/teaching moment to your staff.) The two girls still said nothing to us. We stayed because of your Gluten Free options. We got sat and we waited. Then, we waited some more. Then, we flagged down a passing server and inquired where ours was. She told us that she would check. A few moments later, someone appeared at the table. Our server Talina was a bag full of sunshine⊠NOT. She was mediocre at best. While waiting for our food, we were subjected to the inappropriate music being blasted from the kitchen. (We sat in the booth right in front of the kitchen expo.)
Speaking of food, I asked for the pasta with chicken; no mushrooms but substitute broccoli. I was charged $3 for a few measly pieces of it but hey, its 2024. The food overall was very, very good. However, due to the lack of hospitality and pleasant atmosphere, it was a fail in my book.
*Bonus tidbit, I called from my seat asking if Nigel was in tonight. They answered ânoâ to which I replied, itâs clearly evident.
