Amazing experience all around. Innovative menu, great service and atmosphere, and delicious food. The fusion between French and Cambodian is done with separate menu sections, but some influence across boundaries. Perfect for a date night or a group. The bar has an annoyingly-large and out of place TV though.
Appetizer: Kapik King, a slow-cooked spiced pork belly with a rice croquette and pickles, was perfectly cooked and spiced, and a good portion. The three parts of the dish complemented each other - the melt-in-your-mouth sweet-and-spicy meat, crispy rice, and crunchy salty pickles. 5/5
Appetizer: Leah Chah, mussels in a white whine sauce but with an Asian twist, almost like a light curry. Definitely better than the standard, but two complaints: pretty small portion, and no bread for dipping. 4/5
Entree: Pavé de Saumon, beautifully cooked salmon with mushrooms, over mashed potatoes, and with an arugula side salad. Flavorful, French, and good portion. 5/5
Entree: Curry d’Agneau aux Légumes, braised lamb curry with veggies, Cambodian, bursting with flavor from all the spice, good portion size. 5/5
Desserts: Le Péché au Chocolat, a rich French chocolate truffle cake with raspberry, and Sangkhia l’Pao, a Cambodian squash and coconut cake that was less sweet but nonetheless an awesome dessert with good texture. 4/5
Drinks: non-alcoholic:
Elephant Walk Punch (blood orange, passion fruit, lime) 5/5
Kalamansi agave limeade (kalamansi is a Filipino relative of an orange), but it was too orangey, 4/5
Some of these dishes were on the special menu, which is always long, so you may not find these exact dishes when you go.
Good vegetarian, pescatarian, and gluten free-options.
We went for Dine Out Boston, so it was $46 for appetizer, entree, and dessert, and we got $9 nonalcoholic spritzers, but normally it would be $13-17 for an appetizer and and $24-32 for an entree. So not too bad.

Fantastic spot for interesting, creative food without breaking the bank. 1 drink and enough food we all left satisfied was only 120 bucks total for a table of 4. Our servers were fantastic and the kitchen and serving staff were very accommodating of my girlfriend's celiac concerns. Absolutely fantastic.
Always a great option for gluten-free Asian food! All GF options are listed on the menu! We had the chicken lettuce wraps, as well as the chicken and broccoli! It was delicious!
had both the sushi bites and the poke and both were amazing. loved the restaurant was so friendly for gluten free people. Tried the fire luau bowl and it was delicious, it was a great portion too. the sauce options for the sushi bite were delicious. the passionfruit vinaigrette in particular was amazing but the spicy mayo and pineapple aioli were also great.
They were incredible!! Food was so delicious and as a girl with a gluten and dairy allergy, I was truly blown away by how careful they were with my order. I wish I could go here every night
Gone and ordered here for so long and most of my time here in Boston. As the last time coming here for I’m heading out the area (per my girl’s words) most likely won’t come back to this spot for a while. But for a pho spot, this is one of my favorites in Boston for delicious pho. My girl always got something else like the Saigon noodles, drunken noodles, the fried duck, and “pad gra pow”, with chicken. That one was her favorite probably ordered it “100’s” of times. Curry puff is also good. Most time at food hours the place is packed so you might have to grab a QR code or something and get put on a wait list to be seated. Either way busy or not the front door service is usually not aggressive but forces you towards a certain decision. Seating arrangements needs work, other wise once seated they are friendly and very accommodating. The food is excellent and consistent. Would definitely recommend this place. Also lots of gluten free options.
This restaurant is on top of another store and to get to it you have to walk up a relatively dirty and old alleyway but that’s okay! Upon walking into the restaurant, it was very quiet as there was no music playing but it was nicely decorated with lots of plants and lights. The ambience and aesthetic of the place is quiet nice. The menu also appeared relatively priced to other Thai restaurants and portions are also very reasonable and shareable. However, the food here is very bland and does not really resemble that of non-vegan Thai food. Not really sure if the tastelessness of the food has to do with it being non-vegan though? Additionally, the food that is stir fried like pineapple fried rice and pad kee mao were very heavy on the oil, leaving not a very good feeling in your mouth after eating. The papaya salad was also very very bland and just had hints of flavor from either it was mint or basil. The food here at least what we ordered - the spicy green papaya salad, the pad kee mao, and the pineapple fried rice were not super delicious, not comparable to other Thai restaurants in terms of taste. The pad kee mao was definitely not that bland but it felt oily and just kind of different from normal. There are however lots of vegan protein to choose from - vegan chicken, beef, shrimp, tofu, and gluten. Additionally, when we asked one of the servers for some spicy sauce, he seemed to be either drunk or slightly high and was potentially making some joke about himself being spicy which we didn’t understand or find funny. Regardless the other servers were relatively nice but did not attend to us much more than taking our order and bringing us the food. Large and spacious restaurant with pretty decorations but food is mid and service is just okay. Would not come back again but an experience.
Love this place. We come a few times per month and have never had a bad meal! Fast, reasonably priced, super flavorful and they are very accommodating of my husband’s gluten allergy.
It's a delightful dining place, has rustic ambiance, great music, delicious food, and awesome customer service.
Most people have reservations. However, the host was kind enough to seat us for a couple of hours without a reservation. They have large seating area for families, large tables for groups, and quiet and vosy corners.
Our host, Kareena, made our experience homely, inclusive, and inviting. She took efforts to understand if we had any food allergies and brought a separate gluten-free menu as well. She explained about each item we wanted to order suggested wines that would go with them. What got my attention was the amount of information she had about the ingredients and the taste. Kudos to her for it!!
They have a large selection of vegetarian and non vegetarian items, alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks.
This is a Peruvian, Chinese, and Japanese restaurant, so you can choose from sushi to pork ribs to bowls and much more.
We had the Yuzu Beef Wok and St Louis ribs. The meat was well.cooked, and the sauces were perfect. It's a decently priced place.
We had two different wines. However, the fruit wine was definitely better.
Overall, it was a great dining experience!! Will visit again!
I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is delicious, they give you generous portions and you are bound to have something you will like, crave in the menu. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, you'll find your share of choices. I came for my birthday and everyone enjoyed themselves. Worth the try 👍
Cute little hole in the wall (or ground as the case may be 😅) serving a blend of Thai and Japanese-American staples. I tried their hamachi nigiri, which had an excellent quality fish. Their fried tofu was some of the best I've ever had, except there wasn't enough of the sweet and sour sauce so it was a little dry. But the tofu itself had this amazingly crispy outside and cloud soft texture inside. Their fried tofu is gluten free and they GF soy sauce as well. Don't be alarmed, they label their gluten free soy sauce as "gluten".
Attended the dumpling class offered by this establishment and found it to be both enjoyable and educational. I was particularly pleased to note that they provided a gluten-free alternative for the dumpling wrapper, catering to individuals with dietary restrictions. Based on this positive experience, I would gladly participate in another class offered by this establishment.
Loveart has amazing poke bowls and amazing staff. My favorites are the quickled carrots, the picked bean sprouts, and the yummy salmon! I’ve ordered in person and online and both experiences were great. The staff is very responsive to allergies and when I placed an online order with seaweed salad and marked I was gluten free, they called me immediately to tell me that it wasn’t gluten free and that they could substitute it for me!

Great atmosphere. Food was delicious. Salmon cooked perfectly and the gluten free sushi was also tasty. The cocktails pack quite a punch too. The "famous" lobster cupcakes were to die for tasty!!
The best place in Boston. Amazing food and customer service at an awesome and affordable price point. Has options for everyone, including gluten free. Will come here again and again.
My partner and I came here for our 3 year anniversary and the staff was phenomenal!
The food was epic! We originally decided on an authentic Thai restaurant, but came across this just to grab a drink and have a snack!
We ended up have splendid service provided by Kaitlyn and Mary!
So great we decided after our own personal happy hour to come back and grab dinner!
Then we were surprised with a little slice of deliciousness!
We highly recommend this place! Great gluten free and vegan options also available on the menu!!!
We had sushi and peach soju!
Then for dinner Bulgogi beef (GF) and coconut curry (GF)!
Gluten free pho!!! First time in nearly 15 yrs since diagnosed with celiac that I’ve had pho or bubble tea! Thank you for making it soooo delicious and safe for me to eat! Jimmy and Victor are super helpful and accommodating and didn’t act annoyed when I asked a bunch of questions. Jimmy was also patient with my kids. We’ll be back for sure!

I ordered the pink lady maki and the french kiss maki with soy paper and it was the best sushi i’ve ever had! also the honey ginger iced tea was so refreshing.
It was absolutely delicious! The portions are generous and the service is very friendly.
As one of us had a coeliac disease, the gluten-free soy sauce was suggested.
They are gluten free friendly (both as "allergy" and by choice) and the food is great! The wait was short, service was good, and the food came quickly.
I will DEFINITELY be returning to Shabu-Zen. Where do I start?
Our waiter, Ze, was funny, helpful, and very attentive to my gluten allergy. He checked the menu to make sure everything we ordered was gluten free. He gave us delicious suggestions. We had the Tom Yum and Kimchi broths, which were so tasty! Unfortunately, the Sichuan broth had gluten in it, so that we couldn't have that, but I'm delighted with the two flavors we got. We also ordered a new flavor of Soju that was yogurt flavored. It was the perfect pairing with the food!
Now that it's getting colder, Shabu-Zen is the perfect place to visit.
We had a great time here and food / service was both exceptional.
My friend has severe allergies to Gluten and Dairy. Our lady waitress took care of us so well by keep checking with the kitchen.
We had Tofu soups, Chicken Bulgogi and Japchae ? All was amazing.
Price is around 30-50 after tips for each person. I would make this a staple if you are into Tofu soup.
The ramen at isshindo was fairly standard, and does not seem to be Japanese owned, which can be seen by the menu and food they have.
The spicy tonkatsu broth was not as rich as tonkotsu broth should be, (and fairly mild) and the karaage was more of a general gaos chicken, and slathered with a sweet sauce. It didn't taste bad but not what authentic karaage is. The takoyaki seemed to be reheated frozen takoyaki but otherwise not terrible.
For gluten free, vegetarian, no pork dietary restrictions however they do an amazing job accommodating which you would be hard pressed to find and other ramen shops. If you have dietary restrictions of that sort this place is great.
That being said there are much better, more authentic ramen restaurants in Boston but for a quick cheap bite it's not bad.
Our poke maker, Vanessa, was very nice and took extra care to make sure there was no cross contamination with one of the burritos that had a gluten allergy. They even remade an entire burrito because they accidentally put an ingredient with gluten on it (before they knew about the allergy). Vanessa took extra caution to make sure the food was safe to eat.

Only had good experiences (I order online, haven't eaten in.) So careful and accomodating of a gluten allergy, delicious food, reasonable prices. Love!!
Wow!! Live down the street and have been WAITING for them to open. They were super accommodating to my gluten sensitivity with tons of options- I got the kimchi fried rice and the portions are insane. My bf (not gluten free) absolutely LOVED the soy garlic wings. Prices are more than reasonable for how much food you get. Definitely will be back 🤩🤩🤩
The food was really flavourful and tasty. It also told you what was vegan, dairy free, and gluten free easily.

Koryo House is a hidden gem that brings a fresh and unique take on Korean-Russian cuisine to Boston. As a Korean-American who’s tried countless Korean restaurants in the area, what truly sets this place apart is its innovative approach to banchan—small side dishes that are a staple of Korean meals.
We tried the Morkov-cha (Korean-style spicy carrots), Ve-cha (spicy cucumbers with carrots and beef), and Pigodya (steamed pork buns), and every dish was flavorful, well-seasoned, and generously portioned. The prices are affordable, making it a great spot for take out or delivery.
Beyond the delicious food, I appreciate that Koryo House is vegan- and vegetarian-friendly, with gluten-free options available—a rare find in many Korean restaurants. Whether you’re craving comforting classics or want to explore something new, this spot is worth trying. Can’t wait to try more!
