I think my partner and I had an incredible time here.
As a coeliac person I have not had the chance to eat gluten-free dumplings for years now, so it felt so amazing for me that I found this amazing restaurant that has such delicious gluten-free dumplings.
My partner and I found the food delicious, friendly service, incredible views and the weather at the time was absolutely stunning.
I feel that I loved it and I would undeniably recommend.

Exceptional. All the curries were delicious. The staff were very friendly and accommodating of dietary requirements. The gluten-free naan is perfection!
Great to have a gluten free menu but the quality of meals have deteriorated over the last couple of years. Today's chicken breast was dry, the vegetables soggy and the chips a weird luminescent yellow, though they tasted okay. The tomato /Neapolitan sauce was inedible. Apparently just watered down tomato paste!
A day drive led us to Bathurst. A quick search for dog friendly cafe came up with Piccolo on William, in the middle of Bathurst.
We were met by friendly staff, and seeing we had a 4 legged friend, they brought out a bowl of water for the dog.
The service was friendly and helpful. Food was really nice with a good selection to choose from.
Gluten free options of food/cakes also available.
The bathroom amenities were also super clean and fresh.
Always stoked with the sweet potato fries at Salty Joe’s 💜 they’re my absolute favourite. Love that they’re gluten and dairy free 🥳🥳 Abby was so warm and welcoming and provided wonderfully patient and friendly customer service, particularly as I changed a few things in my drink order. My choc peanut butter smoothie (ingredients amended to ensure it was dairy free) was delicious.
Reasonable wait time, good communication, and just all round great service. Great job guys, I’ll be back again 😊
Amazing atmosphere, food and service. The gluten free pizza bases are absolutely delicious, the best I have found in Sydney. Our go-to restaurant! Highly recommend!
Great food in a chill pub, but the staff are what makes the place: my wife is coeliac and the pub is outstanding in the delivery of food that is a gift: no gluten delicious and professional. The staff, kitchen brigade, chef and publican have made our day. Get out there and support a venue like this ❤️👏
We had a really nice meal here .
The brisket was really good and was also gluten free. So that was good .The service was good and the decor in the room was very good too .A good selection of music was playing when we were there .It looks like they have live music there too .Well worth a look .
The service was brilliant but best for me was the perfect gluten free barramundi and chips with a beautiful dressing on the salad. Thanks team for a rare and special dining experience for me and my brother while visiting from Coffs Harbour.
amazing place!! nearly every single item on the menu is gluten free and was reassured after telling them i had coeliac disease. everything we ordered tasted great, it is on the more expensive side but definitely worth it. we went for the truffle fries, broccolini, chips with guacamole, beef tacos, chicken tacos, and prawn tacos. the prawn and beef tacos were the stars of the meal!
Good option for families and people that need gluten free. Relaxed atmosphere. Only GF beer was Two Bays which is fine.
I chose the GF schnitzel and chips. Yep they do a properly GF schnitzel and also have a dedicated fryer for GF frying.
Definitely recommend.

Looking for the good old slap up Chinese meal? Look no further!
Heard about this place and was impressed by the gluten free options for classic 80s Aussie Chinese.
It’s like a staged time capsule to the 80s with a good dose of humor.
Make sure you book because it was busy!
But that only added to the atmosphere.
Good beer, great food and friendly staff.
What else can you ask for.
Definitely going back. May be for Sunday yum Cha next time. (Without the coeliacs)
Fantastic option for anyone looking for Gluten Free options. With a coeliac in the family, we struggle to find somewhere decent to eat to accommodate both adult and kids taste. Staff were knowledgeable of GF requirements and they confirmed they have a separate fryer for GF food.
Great location on the waterfront, service was lovely and the food was fantastic. My Cluck Norris burger was the best chicken burger I've had in a long time. My husband said the GF chicken schnitzel was great, and my son loved the Risk it for the Brisket burger too. My daughter polished off her kids meal in seconds, and said the fish batter was nice and crispy. Highly recommend and it will be our go to when down by the waterfront.
Had a gluten free high tea, generally everything was great, except the sandwiches were cold and a little dry. I would recommend changing your gluten free bread, though it is hard to find a good one, either toasting the bread and adding something to moisten the bread, ie mayo, sauce etc… otherwise I really enjoyed the experience
I don't normally write reviews but we visited on a long weekend. The gluten free chicken sandwich I ordered wasn't a sandwich. It was a slice of very stale, thick gf bread with a combo of cooked apple, mayonnaise and lettuce that was not appetising. My partner ordered a gf pasta dish. The pasta was overcooked, very mushy, and the sauce was as bland as baby food. A lot of salt and pepper needed to be added. We had no serviettes or cutlery. Strangely, the pasta came with just a tablespoon. We were highly disappointed and would not recommend this cafe for food.
As a resident of the locale, The Tin Shed used to be "the" place to go for great coffee food and charm in Lithgow. Not any more. Went out as a treat for brekky with partner as he had forgotten he had wend off. I've been so busy with work, haven't been out for ages and so wasn't aware of change in management at The Tin Shed.
Firstly if you were thinking fluffy pancakes for a change, forget it, there aren't any.
New menu looks great, lists all as vego, gluten free and vegan options which is wonderful if you're a vego like me. But failed to deliver.
Presentation was poor and the house made baked beans I'm sure we're out of a tin as I cook with them all the time, and then discovered what I think was a pork sausage after I told the wait staff " I am a vegetarian". Was so hungry as it was after 11am, I decided to remove the scantily chopped snag, pass it over to my non-vego partner and hope for the best. Partner had bacon and egg roll and said when it arrived " Is that my $20 egg and bacon roll". The wait staff would be good at a wake. Seriously, solemn faces and low energy. (Really, am sorry guys if you've lost someone in your inner circle). Had a great time as was out with partner for a change, but won't be back.
Had an amazing experience here with the lovely Koyal! Everything was so delicious and I felt very safe as a coeliac with the entire menu being gluten free!!! Thanks Koyal for a great evening, we will be back!
Really appreciate the service and honesty when it came to my husband dietary requirement. He is a coeliac and was treated well. Food was absolutely amazing and the atmosphere. My only issue is that the high chairs are a little uncomfortable. Other than that everything was great 😊
Absolutely loved our dinner at the Avalon, the food was divine, the lamb my mother in law and I had was so tender and my father in law loved his salmon and my husband the chicken. Service was also great, they looked after us very well, making sure my GF food was coeliac safe. My in-laws loved the quirkiness of the decor and it was very warm and cosy. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening thank you.
Breakfast was amazing! Liberty was super friendly and attentive especially when we needed to order a gluten and dairy free meal for our toddler. Would happily come back again.
I have previously had coffee and the impossible cake from Bottega Coco. The coffee is excellent The impossible cake is meant to be gluten and lactose free but there is something in the cake that I still react too.
This time I went with a friend and this my review:
Order
Gluten & lactose free GNOCCHI AI PORCINI (VG)(V)(GFO), caprese salad, bruschetta, lemon lime bitters, pineapple juice.
Pros
Excellent service
They catered for my gluten free and lactose free dietary requirements.
The food was really good.
The ambience of the place was also great.
The lemon lime bitters was excellent."
Cons
I didn’t take any pics of the food.
I have an intolerant to Gluten and really love their GF French toast. It's the only cafe I have been to so far that have offered this and have missed it. There are indoor and outdoor seating available. Parking available. Coffee is great and so is the service.
We had a wonderful dining experience overall. The food was absolutely amazing—full of flavor and beautifully presented. The restaurant also did very well in accommodating dietary restrictions, especially for gluten-free options, which we really appreciated.
A special shoutout to Juli, whose attention to detail and exceptional service made the evening feel extra special. He truly elevated the experience with his warm approach.
However, one downside was the temperature inside the restaurant. It was uncomfortably cold—we had to keep our jackets on and even used scarves as makeshift blankets. Unfortunately, this took away from the otherwise cozy and welcoming atmosphere.
Excellent time spent with family for lunch, went for the feed me menu (3 course). No problem looking after/catering to my Coeliac diet. Delicious food and wonderful service. Shout out to Coco for looking after us!
I went to dinner with 3 friends and it was a wonderful experience. Atmosphere is really nice with seating both downstairs and upstairs and is very welcoming.
Menu is extensive and has vegetarian, dairy free, nut free and gluten free options so really something for anyone with a restriction!
Staff were very attentive and service was wonderful.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed dining at the Mez Club. They do a contemporary take on Moroccan food. Excellent food and very creative cocktails! Many of the dishes are vegetarian and/or gluten free. The crème brûlée is a must try! Staff are lovely.
While the food and service was pretty good, the pricing definitely does not match the portion sizes!
My partner and I dined here for dinner, spending hundreds on food, and we ended up having to get takeaway food elsewhere because we were still hungry.
Not a huge deal, but we also ordered the ceviche specifically specifying that it be WITHOUT crispy shallots due to coeliac disease and not being able to have gluten. We were assured this was okay, however, the food came with the crispy shallots anyway.
Staff were great & helpful the only issue was there wasn’t a meal for Vegan & Gluten free. The kitchen did try to find something but choice was very limited. I would like to suggest there is at least one option for this dietary requirement.
An otherwise nice experience ruined by one very rude staff member.
The food was alright, nothing we’d rave about.
A few points on the lower rating:
- We had initially booked for 22-23 people and had 3 extra show up last minute that were missed in our final headcount, we understand this could be inconvenient but we did have the space on the table allocated to fit them. Unfortunately, the waitress was quite snappy when she asked “Is there more people coming?! There’s no more space nor extra tables for anyone” before storming off. This was an initial experience that made us feel awkward. We understand the inconvenience but we also accept that if the extra attendees could no fit a reasonable solution would’ve been to explain that we only booked for 23 and that they should leave.
- The behaviour continued on from here: my colleague let her know she was the one who had ordered the gluten free taco and she snapped back at her in such a way that a quarter of the table pulled faces in shock.
- When we asked them for the cake. It was brought out unprepared in a box. Perhaps an over sight if they were busy but really unusual. But as it was this waitress that brought it out in a box and another server who offered to then take it back and serve it on a plate one can never be too sure.
- The music was loud. Like, SUPER loud. Which makes it understandable when the staff speak louder. But the waitress in question was super loud and at times to the point of yelling when snapping at us and pulling faces like she was very unhappy to be there or serving us. The other two servers were very lovely. So we’ve bumped the star rating up for them.
- Lastly, we also had issues when we were asked to leave. We were well aware we had a timed booking and honestly they did well to stick to time, it didn’t feel like we were being asked to leave too quickly after we finished eating but again the rude waitress was very short with us whereas the other waitress was more apologetic and said times up just letting you know you need to leave.
- Overall it was a profound experience. Sadly the food wasn’t redeeming enough to make it enjoyable.
Some suggestions if I may:
If your staff are having a bad time, assign them to a different table. Everyone’s going to be happier in the long run.
Turn the music down slightly. Music definitely brings vibes but if you’re all yelling at each other or having to ask people to repeat things enough times until you default to smiling and nodding - it’s definitely too loud.
If people have timed bookings, it is completely reasonable to say something like “just letting you all know you have 15 minutes left on your booking, we are a bit busy tonight so we’d really appreciate that you leave on time so we can prepare for the rest of our night” and to give timed reminders after that point.
Again if people aren’t moving at that time (happens so often with larger groups, trust me we know it) just again be firm but not rude with “sorry times up! We hope you had a good night but we will need to start preparing the table for our next guests”
To the waitress directly:
It’s best not to assume everyone is stupid and against you on a bad day. Some of us have also done our hard yards is hospitality too and know how it gets serving large tables. You’ll find that most people are sympathetic if you’re feeling a bit off but you’re in a customer facing role, please learn to take breaks if you need them.
CASA is located in a beautiful and charming spot, especially during Vivid — the ambiance is lovely, and the staff were very attentive and friendly. However, a few things during our visit left us disappointed.
Even with the heaters on, the place was still quite cold, which made our food cool down very quickly. The fries were overcooked, had a burnt taste, and were completely unseasoned — not even a pinch of salt.
I was told there was a gluten-free bruschetta option, but no one mentioned they would replace the bread with pizza dough. That really changed the texture and flavor, and unfortunately, it wasn’t very enjoyable.
The BBQ chicken pizza was another letdown. The BBQ sauce was extremely strong and tasted like a generic, store-bought version — overpowering everything else.
On a positive note, the pulled pork with potatoes was absolutely delicious — definitely the highlight of the meal.
I’ve been to CASA before and had a great pizza, so I know they can do better. I’m sharing this feedback hoping it helps improve the overall experience for future guests.
Really good food lots.of GFO on the menu. Coeliac but not hypersensitive for good for us cant comment if more. Only issue is why no air con in the disabled toilet .. it is a.furnace!
The absolute best. We had breakfast here two days in a row and the service and food was impeccable. Also had gluten free options for our coeliac daughter. 👌👌
I always love the wedge. The staff as super friendly and accommodating. We were going to have a pram with us and my friend was gluten free and they couldn’t have been more lovely and adaptable. The food is always delicious and I highly recommend the Brussel sprout dish.

I think my partner and I had incredible food here.
The quality and flavors are great, they are very respectful of coeliacs and the cuisine is naturally mostly gluten-free. Amazing and very friendly service as well, and gorgeous views. Thank you.
I think I would undeniably recommend.
