Gluten free options galore! Vegetarian also. We loved the food and our server, Kaitlin, was hilarious and made our time there amazing. We wish we had eaten all of our meals here on our trip.
Fantastic service, good food and drinks but the atmosphere left a bit to be desired. I came here with a group of 9 people, and we were seated in the back room where I guess they put the bigger groups. The smaller front room with the bar seemed like way more of a vibe with the lighting, decor and music but the back room was kind of big and boring with bright overhead lighting. The food wasn't mind blowing but it was totally solid and I was very pleased with the number of gluten free options and the staff's knowledge and detail about cross contamination, ensuring that I would be safe to eat here as a person with celiac disease. The highlights were the amazing gluten free churros (!!!) and our wonderful server. If you're with a big group, they can definitely support that but I hope they can improve the vibes of that back space. I would come back, maybe with a smaller group, and sit in the more vibey front bar area and honestly I'd come back just for the churros they were so good!
4/16/25: dinner with a friend. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we lost track of time. We started the evening sitting outside, but the gusty wind drove us inside to a beautiful table by the window. The staff made this transition very smooth despite it being a busy day at the restaurant. My friend claimed that her drink was excellent although a bit on the strong side. I enjoyed the gluten-free chicken masala and she said that the happy hour hamburger, which she had on a gluten-free bun, was excellent. Our total for dinner for two, with shared brussel sprouts as an appetizer, and the one cocktail was about $76 before tip.
4/16/25: breakfast with a friend. The outdoor seating area in this restaurant is borderline magical. Somehow, even though dozens of people are seated in this small space, it still felt like it was just the two of us. If the service was spotty, and the food just okay, the atmosphere would still somehow make this place excellent. But good news! The service is 4 out of 5 stars, and the food is scrumptious. There seems to be a small army of servers who somehow danced around the tight space, keeping water glasses full and checking on diners. I enjoyed a gluten-free omelette that surprisingly came with some regular bread. The server happily replaced it with gluten-free bread quickly. I also enjoyed French press coffee.
This is a busy restaurant, but I give them props for developing an efficient system regarding the waitlist and notification when the table is ready. They suggested a 35 minute wait, but it ended up being like 15. My tip is to not be afraid of a long line. You will probably be seated quickly, and a short wait is definitely worth it.

The only thing I could possibly complain about here is that I didn’t see any gluten free options but I also didn’t ask. My partner and her family love this place, and compared the croissants to their favorite places in Paris. The inside is beautiful and comfortable. Many options!
Ordered a gluten-free cake from them for a birthday celebration and it was delicious! I was stressing trying to find any place to make me one but called Sherman and they took care of me with a little over 24 hr notice. The lady on the phone was nothing but polite. She double confirmed everything I asked for to reassure it would come out perfect and it did. Thank you!

Here's the lovely response I received from Melissa after receiving a verbal confirmation regarding a cake l. If you can't do it, just say you can't, over the phone. The person I spoke to said it was fine. Talk to your staff.
From Melissa at OTRD:
Hello Gillian, if you had bothered to check our website it clearly states w require a minimum of 4+ weeks for weekend orders.
Good luck trying to find gluten free in the desert at the last minute due to your lack of planning.
Update, based on owners feedback:
Hello, thank you for sending a response aligned with a kind of treatment I received from your business. To be clear, we knew we were calling last minute and were pleased when one of your staff said that they would be able to help us. I'm not a liar, and the tone of your email definitely proves my point.
Cake stores are everywhere. Good luck to you.
It was a bar like setting nothing fancy and a little loud indoors. They had a great option to eat outdoors. Lots of gluten free choices and all food was good for the six of us dining. They have a nice parking lot.
The staff was great, the food was OK. Not a great place for celiac. Non celiac hubby liked his burger but fries (krinkle cut) were left uneaten. My salad was just ok, iceberg lettuce.
INCREDIBLE spot for vegans, only wish I lived closer! Will always try to remember to stop by when I'm in this area. The desserts were incredible!!! Lots of delicious grab-n-go items & sauces too.
Small Gluten Free selection tho- if they had GF bread for the sandwiches then this place would really be perfect
Our server and the other staff were very friendly and kind, making faces at the baby with our party to make her smile. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu, which I appreciate as a person who can't eat gluten and dairy.
Great service and really good food. I recommend the fishbowl margarita. Super fun and flavourful.
They also had great selections for my friend that is celiac.
I’ve eaten so many times here. Take out often too. I’m gluten intolerant and they’re aware and have many options. I often get beef or chicken taquitos. I’ve never had a chewy piece of meat and the lettuce and tomato are always crisp and fresh. It’s a simple meal, done to perfection. Did I say always? Always friendly. Reasonably priced. Friendly, family atmosphere.
Food, service, and atmosphere were all 10/10!!! We went here after landing in Palm Springs. Not only did we eat delicious tacos and enchiladas, but our server Paul gave us incredible recommendations for navigating the dessert heat and things to do while we’re visiting. Also, celiac friendly!!! The chef was notified immediately and it was no problem to accommodate.
Loved this spot! We polled several locals for their favorite brunch spots and almost everyone mentioned Jake's, so we knew we had to try it. It has more of a boutique/homey feel than some other places, and everyone working was extremely nice. Food and drinks also came out very fast. We got the short rib Benedict and lobster roll without a roll (GF, of course!), plus a side of fries. All were super good. I also had a rosie margarita, which was very pretty and not cloyingly sweet. We ordered a couple desserts to go - they had several gluten free baked goods, so I was really happy. One of the slices of cake (not GF) was as big as our heads... wild.
Definitely stop by this place when you're in town. I recommend not driving as their drink menu is very extensive and everything looked great; would've loved to have another if we weren't driving home right after!
We sat at the bar, the bartender was super friendly and accommodating for my partners celiac disease. The cauliflower pizza crust was so good, the pasta was meh. Would get 2 pizzas next time.
Skip the apple pancakes and get the beignets instead! The beignets were light and fluffy, instead of the crispier churro texture that comes from most places when it's overcooked. Beignets are a 4.5 on a scale of 1-5. The crispy apple pancakes that they're known for were too sweet and needed a higher pancake to apple ratio. Crispy apple pancakes were a 2.5 on a 1-5 scale. California omelet was tasty. Not super amazing like I had hoped, but still very good. California Omelet was 3.75 on a 1-5 scale. I didn't like that the fruit that came with California Omelet, which was honeydew melon and canteloupe, with 4 grapes since I'm allergic to those melons, and they ran out of the gluten free muffin too. Since I can't have gluten I asked for bacon instead. They charged me a dollar for one slice of bacon, which is ridiculous. I also ordered a side of the cubed potatoes, which tasted good - 3.75 on a scale of 1-5. Overall we liked the food and will come back here when we're in town because the beignets were so good (the remarks on the beignets and crispy apple pancakes came from my husband since I couldn't eat them).
Some of our dishes were delicious! This review is more about the claim that they PRIDE themselves on gluten free. This would be ok if you just preferred to not eat gluten. But as one member of our party had a celiac allergy we were excited to eat here based on their website and claims. Unfortunately, the only gluten free option was GF bread, and they do not have a separate fryer or grill for fries or bread. There were only a few possible items that were truly gluten free and the server, tho very understanding, wasn’t sure about some of the sauces and food items.
In conclusion: this place had yummy options for non-celiac people. Myself and the other person in our group enjoyed our food. But it was disappointing to expect more options based on their website and reviews and show up to having to carefully select and not be able to have the freedom of a carefree brunch.
We just had dinner there last night and everything was wonderful. Josiah our served was fantastic, great recommendations and super knowledgable. Restaurant can be a bit boisterous during prime time but otherwise great. We ordered the schnitzel, deviled eggs and steak. Gluten free friendly as well.
Came here for gluten free options and the food and service were fantastic. Wedge salad, short rib polenta eggs benedict, and decaf espresso were excellent. My SO said the regular espresso was excellent too!
Highly re
We had a delightful brunch here on the recommendation of friends. The menu may be small but the choices were delicious.
We confirmed that they were able to accommodate gluten free with a few choices from the menu (and gf soy sauce). Tomoko is very passionate about your experience and offers suggestions for serving/eating the Bento box and blinis. All were appreciated. The gravlax is smoked by her chef/husband with fennel: divine!!
