Stopped in for a quick bite and ended up staying for dessert too - butter chicken was fire, and that gluten-free cupcake? Unreal. Definitely coming back.
Alexander’s Tavern is owned by someone knowledgeable about Celiac and offers a multitude of safe gluten-free options with a dedicated kitchen space and fryer! I recommend the nachos and tater tots!
The Corner Pantry is a Baltimore gem with thoughtfully curated and creative selections and amazing gluten free breads and pastries. Everything on the menu from coffee to savory to sweet options simultaneously evoke comfort and decadence. Their holiday pies are also a staple for my family's festive menus, and whenever I visit, the staff is warm and inviting. On days when you need a little extra joy in your life, I highly recommend visiting TCP!
Mindpub is home away from home. The food is amazing (especially the gluten free which honestly is so good, it’s hard to find gluten free in Federal hill that isn’t insanely expensive for no reason) the staff are great and know a lot - especially when asking for different recommendations. Coffee is locally roasted down the street! If I moved away - I would ALWAYS make sure to come here first when I visit
Love sobo cafe!! They are so careful and have so many gf options. I’ve eaten there so many times and never had an issue. The food is so yummy, my gf mom also loves this place. Cocktails are great too!!
They have gluten free pizza that they can make on a separate pan to avoid cross contamination and a dedicated fryer for delicious fried brussel sprouts!
We went here for breakfast on a whim and we were truly pleasantly surprised! It's a cozy little cafe downtown with a varied menu including lots of gluten free options. Our servers were SO NICE, I cannot overstate this. The food was also amazing. Definitely check it out!

So hard to find vegan with gluten free options. Eating out I usually have to just get a salad, but here I was able to get an appetizer, dinner, and dessert!! I got the lemon risotto with chicken and my husband got the blackened fettuccine with chicken. It was soooooo good. The white sangria was awesome. Service was great and their recommendations were on point.
Papi’s is so great! They have dairy free and gluten free options and you get free chips and salsa for the table. Their short rib burrito is awesome and they have a nice happy hour too.
Baby's on Fire is a Mt. Vernon neighborhood gem! The staff are kind and attentive. I am especially appreciative to have gluten-free options, including the breakfast sandwiches! Thank you for changing gloves and the cutting board to avoid cross-contamination. Also, I love their Community Card Program that provides meals and drinks to our unhoused and/or hungry neighbors. This is a special place.
nice casual place for drinks and food, id say food is solid and reliable but not like super spectacular. crab soup is whack, burgers are good, not a smash burger place. its somewhere youd go regularly. great for gluten free folks. brunch is nice too, and their mimosas are good for groups. fav drinks are the jackrabbit and the crush with less simple syrup.
Aside from their questionable anti-LGBTQ history, I have nothing bad to say about all their locations. Always good food, even my Celiac wife can have their fries and grilled nuggets. I've also heard from friends about more openly gay and bi employees. As long as they can keep it up I'll keep going.
This restaurant will always be one of my favorites! They are tucked into a tiny spot in a huge building, but every inch of the place is filled with personality and charm. They have a good, creative menu and decent prices. Their food is always fresh and prepared with care. They take allergies very seriously. I have celiac's and feel safe eating here. When I ate there in person, I was able to see that they prepared my gluten free sandwich completely separately and with dedicated equipment. I usually order delivery through DoorDash while at work and everything is well packaged and arrives in great shape. Though it's small, they make good use of the space. They have some limited seating both indoors and out and even have some games there for you to play! I have recommended this place to friends and family and definitely think it's worth a visit!
We liked all the food we tried. The vegan crab cake was very cool to find. I particularly enjoyed the lemonade and the curry chickun. There were plenty of gluten-free options on the menu.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that Ceremony Coffee Roasters offers GF pastries individually wrapped for purchase! I was able to safely enjoy a cranberry almond scone with coffee and get work done :)
Finally made my way to this coffeehouse today for a quick to-go order. I stopped in mostly for coffee, but ended up ordering a couple of GF bagels. Being celiac, I get excited seeing GF options. Although the bagel was on the flat side, but it was good and I appreciate having something to order. The coffee was good as well. Will definitely come back on my visits to Baltimore to enjoy hanging out at this cute shop.
Chick-fil-A is great for when it comes to gluten free dining. Their buns are sealed until the person opens it themselves to ensure no contamination. The bun itself is very good, soft and pillowy like a real bun and tastes good too. Grilled options to ensure that you get nothing that can be glutenized.
Artifact used to be amazing for people who needed gluten free options, but apparently the chef left and they are getting a lot of their sandwiches pre-prepared so there is no way to get them with gluten free bread even though it is still listed on the menu. Super disappointing.
Amazing corn (gluten free) empanadas, along with many gluten free rice dishes and other items. Beautiful patio out back and truly just a 10/10 experience every time I’ve gone
Great restaurant that happens to be in an airport near gate B9 at BWI.
The crab soup is surprisingly good as is the shrimp and crab flatbread though the dough on the flatbread is unusual as it's gluten free and almost spongy like a crepe - I think a regular wheat dough would have been better!
The bloody Marys are excellent, no need to spring for the pricey Crabby Mary though it's a double shot and a crab claw, if that's your thing!
Food was good but nothing spectacular. My other guests loved the crispy chicken sandwich. The service at lunch was slow. They should have more gluten free options.
Nice Waterfront Location with Attentive Service
We visited The Cheesecake Factory for gluten-free dessert options. I had the Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake, which was rich, deeply cocoa-forward, and paired well with my caramel macchiato. My partner had the Chocolate Mousse Cheesecake (not gluten-free), which he enjoyed too.
He also ordered a chocolate milkshake that initially came out tasting more like vanilla bean with little to no chocolate syrup. The server noticed right away and had it remade properly, which we appreciated. Service was attentive without being too much.
Overall, it was a nice experience, especially with the convenience of being open later than other dessert options in the area—but we've had slightly better cheesecakes from other bakeries. Solid 4 stars.
Called Pepe’s w/ low expectations for having a gluten free pizza crust as an option, and low & behold they carry a rice-based thin crust option! I ordered mine with cheese, pepperoni & mushrooms. First bite was actually rather surprising! Not bad! Has the crunch of a thin slice with a dough-ish texture. Overall satisfying the pizza craving on the fly. I’m not sure of the cost since I ordered other things and the receipt wasn’t itemized. I’d definitely order again!
Soooooo good! The food was amazing. I’m gluten free and they had a ton of options for me. The aesthetic is also so cute! The dried flower wall is definitely inspo for a future project for me.
From the hostess to our wonderful waiter, Seth, to the absolutely delicious food, I wish I could leave 10 stars! I have a serious gluten allergy and Seth took it seriously too. He made sure my meal was cooked separately and triple checked. Seth was great with drink refills too! 10/5 double perfect!

the staff speaks predominantly spanish and it’s such a good atmosphere and authentic food. they only have corn tortillas (soft!!) so no cross contamination
Loved my experience here and want to come all the time! I tried the Cachapas with eggs and bacon — excellent stuff! I also had an Oat Milk Mocha latte; I don’t like oat milk but it was soooo good! I was surprised. It was very cozy and bright. The service was quick and pleasant. I also ordered via delivery on another day. I got a gluten-free breakfast sandwich and my friend got a quesadilla. She wasn’t a big fan but mine was good so I’ll be back.
Water for Chocolate is far more than fine dining!
On a visit to Baltimore with the Ben Barber Culinary/Restaurant Team, we were looking for a place that could accommodate a reservation for 30. One of my cousins came out the box with Water for Chocolate!
This intimate dining establishment showcases the talent, love, and passion of Chef/Owner Sean Guy and staff.
Our reservation was for 30 people at 5pm on a Saturday. However, when we arrived we were a group of 50! Chef Guy and crew didn't even blink! With himself at the helm of the kitchen, and staff of 3, he had us all fed with dishes such as Gluten-Free Charred Red Snapper with Cilantro-Lime Rice and Broccolini, Vegetarian Black-Eyed Red Curry, Duck Risotto, and Ribeye Steaks; all within an hour and a half! Baby, let me tell you! Chef did not miss! You could see the discipline and taste the care that was put into every dish! There wasn't a single dish that was not worthy of extensive praise!
If you're every in the Baltimore area, or a local. Make it a point to open your heart to all that is Water for Chocolate.
Check it Out!!!
My fiancé and I came here after staying in the inner harbor for work. We love a good breakfast and Spoons was highly recommended from a friend. I am gluten free and they didn’t have a marked menu, I got a side of 2 eggs with their breakfast potatoes! The potatoes were super good the eggs were broken which I prefer them a little runny but it’s ok. My fiancé got coffee and a biscuit breakfast sandwich which he said the biscuit was really good and the meal overall was good! The vibes were very homey and cozy. We are glad we tried it here!
I love coming here. I usually get the Japchae noodles since they’re gluten free. The order lasts me two days and it’s delicious! They have the best iced oatmilk latte that I’ve tried as well. They seem to care about what beans they use and bean freshness, which is vital. The space itself is great, with chill lighting, big windows, and ample seating. Finally, the people who work here are always nice and helpful.
Delicious brunch! Perfect location for a celebration with family and friends. Locally sourced ingredients, creative drinks, vegan and gluten-free options. Take a stroll through the museum or sculpture garden after your meal.
