The food is great, at a great price. We went with our two dogs, and they were incredibly attentive, giving them water and treats.
Plus, for those with celiac disease, they have gluten-free fried fish.
100% recommended!
Everything is gluten-free with no cross-contamination, the perfect haven for celiacs! The breading is done with rice flour. Everything is quick and easy, and the shade is very cool. The waiters are excellent! And it's about €40/€50 per person. I'll be back.
Today I came with my in-laws to a "trusted" bar where those with celiac disease can eat gluten-free without any problem, and we were met with one disappointment after another: cold fried fish, pickled anchovies with salmorejo, and gluten-containing toast despite the gluten-free menu. And countless other minor issues…the service was up to par despite being packed. But the icing on the cake was the bill…they charged us €2.50 for gluten-free bread, which was HORRIBLE, and €3 for gluten-free breadsticks…SHAMEFUL.

Everything was perfect, delicious, and the service was friendly and welcoming.
Those of us who have to eat gluten-free rarely find such a wide variety to choose from and such good quality.
I hope more people embrace gluten-free.
Very good. They're careful and take into account gluten-free options and adapt almost the entire menu so you can eat it. A pleasure, everything is delicious.
Had the most bizarre experience here. I ordered the bowl of fruit and yoghurt and the gluten-free granola as I have a wheat allergy, and explicitly checked whether it was indeed gluten-free. The waitress confirmed. When the dish came, I ate it, and afterwards saw that the yogurt had some sort of little brown things in it. When I asked the staff what it was, they showed me the yoghurt - an activia pack with cereals among which wheat it in. When I asked the waitress why (on earth) they say that it’s gluten-free and then serve this (never ever, nowhere to be seen) yogurt, she said “that they only said that the granola is gluten-free, not the yoghurt”. When I explained to her that that is very very misleading (when is yoghurt not gluten-free..!?) and that it could be very dangerous for people with similar allergies and for example for me, it will cause serious health issues, she started laughing in my face and said “yeah what do you want me to do, call an ambulance!?” So incredibly rude. Also very dangerous as they claim to be and advertise with serving gluten-free food. Obviously I will never come here again and I hope that with writing this review I can save someone else from my experience and subsequent health issues.
A very charming place where the food is delicious and has a wide variety of dishes, many of which are suitable for celiacs. The waiter's service was spectacular, as he assured us that we were eating gluten-free.
We really liked it. They cater to celiacs, allowing you to order almost the entire gluten-free menu, which is very varied. It would be appreciated if they had properly indicated allergens on the menu itself or had a separate menu, so we wouldn't have to ask and had more freedom. They recommended tataki and tuna tartar, both very good. We ordered a half portion of fried fish, which we liked, but we've had better. The squid was delicious, accompanied by black rice and aioli. The freshly baked bread was warm, and the gluten-free option was also delicious. For dessert, the tocino de cielo (bacon of heaven) was delicious. Gluten-free options were less varied, and they also offered us a Saint Mark's cake, which we didn't think was homemade. We didn't like it much; we found it a bit bland.
Fantastic! A fantasy of a site. With a lot of charm.
Great variety of food, gluten-free options. Impeccable service and unbeatable price quality. Highly recommended.
Today I discovered this incredible restaurant and without hesitation I had to share my experience.
As soon as you arrive you notice the good atmosphere of the place. The waiters are very attentive, friendly and professional, super knowledgeable about the menu and the dishes are not simple, they are the most elaborate and they are a ten! It's obvious that you like their work!
The menu is very varied and with a large number of GLUTEN FREE options, I must say that as a celiac, except when I go to a restaurant exclusively for celiacs, the options on the menus are limited.
The croquettes! Oh my goodness, crunchy and delicious (gluten-free, which is even more complicated)
The arepitas, the octopus 🐙, the cod, the desserts uff. All!
The owners, Patri and Iñaki, the Joy of the place, passionate, committed and super loved. Congratulations!
Thank you for making us feel so comfortable in your home. We will repeat soon.
If you go to Tarifa, you can't miss it. Obligatory stop.
Until next time.
PS: the best of all was focusing on the experience since I didn't take any photos 😁
They remain for the next visit.
Celiacs!! Gluten-free fried fish, super good. Good service. You can reserve a table by calling the phone number that appears on the internet. Good value for money.
Beautiful place and the pizzas were delicious. We went as a group of friends and we notified a person with celiac disease at the time of the reservation. Everything was perfect and without contamination. I will return to try other dishes
One of the few places that emphasizes gluten-free and food intolerance-friendly menus.
The service you receive is as high-quality as the food. Everything is top-notch, some of the best in the Campo de Gibraltar area.
It's a perfect setting to go with your partner or for business meetings/talks. They have a spectacular wine list and the meat is delicious. The prices, of course, aren't the cheapest, but they're certainly not expensive for what they offer. Everything is an 11 out of 10.
I don't know if the food is better than the service or the other way around... A 10 for both, I recommend the Iberian risotto with spinach and the confit artichokes with ratatouille. Possibly the entire menu is exquisite, but we were not able to try it all. The service, of
Best we've had in a long time: attentive and super nice. Good gluten-free menu and unbeatable knowledge of velia quia. The 10 rating falls short. We will repeat, and we come from Malaga. The price/quality ratio… laughable… many restaurants would like to reach this level.
Very good customer service, all the pizzas are gluten-free and they are very careful with cross contamination. Additionally, the food is very good and the waiters are very good people. I recommend this restaurant 100%
We enjoyed a delicious grilled white fish with fries and fresh salad. The service was incredibly friendly and helpful. It’s great to note that the restaurant offers options for vegans and those with gluten-free needs. The food was amazing, and the prices were very good for the quality provided. Definitely a place worth returning to!
In reality, all they do is inform you about cross-contamination. They don't have separate kitchen areas, and the only thing they have is gluten-free bread.
We felt it was just a try, nothing more. I wouldn't recommend it to someone with celiac disease. They themselves tell you they can't guarantee it.
I'm so sorry, but you can either cook with gluten or without it; there's no compromise! It's a matter of health!
We went in search of a place that was adapted for celiacs and they put gluten-free dishes on the menu without any problem, the meat was delicious, the potatoes were delicious without the risk of contamination, and the homemade ratatouille was just as good. Friendly staff and good food and price according to the quality.
Unacceptable treatment!!!
I asked for gluten-free beer and they brought it to me with gluten in it. When I complained, the waitress impertinently argued with me and claimed it was gluten-free. Ignorance, impertinence, and arrogance.
I'm celiac, and that's reportable.
The food was just good!
Next to the cars!
A feeling of disinterest in the customer!! A reputation that doesn't justify it!!
Too much success makes you forget about customer service.
For a celiac, eating cake in a cafeteria is an impossible mission, especially not here at Velvet 😊
They have vegan products so people with intolerances can enjoy a delicious breakfast or snack, something that is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Plus they are very good!
Great food, they adapted all the dishes so that I could eat them gluten-free. Jorge the waiter is a crack. We loved the food and how they treated us. Highly recommended
We have been eating today, and we loved it. Both the service, the good treatment, the attention to the Gluten-Free food for my daughter, the good recommendation of Sherry wines, the history of the place. Totally recommended, thank you very much Sergio.
Spectacular... Both the service was super friendly, we went with our celiac son and they took care of all the details, the boy who helped us always gave us solutions for everything and was very friendly, the food was great!!! Without a doubt to repeat!!!
We went for breakfast and the truth is that the service leaves a lot to be desired. I went with my family, I have celiac disease and I asked if there was gluten-free bread. Not only did they not have any, which I can understand (quite archaic for being on a seafront but oh well), but on top of that when I asked him the waiter said “what's wrong, we don't even have things like vegan milk, here from cow's milk.” ", in a ha ha way I'm funny, as if I even had the option of eating anything else, I haven't even asked about the milk. Obviously I haven't been able to eat anything at all. Also, my family did eat, the order went wrong, they basically made up what they had ordered. The friendly girl waitress with short hair, the man… find out a little about what gluten is.
They have the allergens very well specified on the menu. I can't eat gluten and they were very friendly at all times. The sea bream we ate were very delicious. Thank you so much!
Spectacular!!!! Exquisite and abundant food with a very extensive menu, treatment by 10 super attentive staff, cozy and pleasant place, it should be noted that it is one of the few places, for me the first, where they take into account people with celiac disease since I was amazed when I They commented that I could order everything on the menu from fried to battered since they adapted it with ingredients suitable for celiacs with the separate preparation without any problem with complete peace of mind, 100 x 100 recommended, I would recommend you try the place since just as which I will repeat without a doubt, thanks to the 2 girls who assisted us for the treatment received.
The food was all delicious, all the tuna, artichokes and fried fish. They adapted all the dishes for celiacs and the friendliness of the staff has been great. We will repeat without a doubt
It was a great discovery. The staff is lovely and the food is spectacular. We were also with someone with celiac disease, and they treated us wonderfully. We'll definitely be back!
Perfect! Finally good Spanish food. Quite inconspicuous from the outside, but when you walk into the courtyard it is so beautiful. The food was excellent and the waiter was very attentive. There are also gluten-free dishes, there is something for everyone. The prices are great, we can't complain and would come back at any time.
