Saturday night date night with hubby. Wanted to try Onda as I am Coeliac. This 100% Certified Coeliac gluten free restaurant is one of the best. The food was delicious amazing. Service attention to detail was fantastic. We had the feed me menu and it was amazing. Now need to come back to try the rest of the dishes. Great experience. Thank you for a great night.

I visited Bodega Underground last year and had an alright experience, however it feels like they’ve really stepped things up since then. Every dish was excellent, flavourful and hot, and staff were very friendly. The kitchen was very efficient and food came out quite quickly. I’d recommend the fish tacos and birria tacos as the must-try. The menu is also 100% gluten free! Don’t forget to book ahead as it can get very busy and they mightn’t have any walk ins available.

100% gluten free menu, didn’t get sick after as a sensitive coeliac. Came here on a double date and got the $69 per person feed me. There was SO much food, we have an appetite and came hungry and we could not finish it all, which was a shame as it was incredible. We have been coming here for years but truly every time we come back it somehow gets better. The staff are awesome & accomodating and really helpful, they made me a super zingy spicy margarita which was great too.

Mission District serves hands down the best Mexican food I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating, ever! There was seriously not a single thing that we ordered that I disliked, as everything was irrefutably DE! LI! CIOUS! This place now holds a special place in my heart because it’s where I ate a burrito (Yes, a BURRITO! NOT a burrito bowl! — Fellow coeliacs, iykyk) for the first time in my life and honestly, I absolutely, totally get the craze now! 🤤🤤🤤 Furthermore, the fact that the restaurant is accredited by Coeliac Australia is a monumental bonus which negates the typical dining out anxiety. The venue has some cute decor choices— not something I typically mention in my reviews but couldn’t help but compliment anyway. The service staff were very friendly too, which is one of the many, many awesome things about this place. Mission District is most definitely and officially my top place for Mexican now for sure; there’s really no other place that compares!

GF friends, look no further for your lunch or dinner in St Kilda!! Absolute gluten free taco perfection! *please note - I do not say this lightly* We had the beef, pork and fish tacos, and I honestly can’t tell you which was my favourite! Full of flavour. The fish was probably the best fish taco I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot of tacos) haha The owner, chef, bartender and overall awesome guy, Peter is worth just popping in to have a chat with if you’re not hungry! Grab their new house GF beer, and if you’re feeling brave - maybe have a boogie on the dance floor! Thank you so much for a lovely experience, tasty food and great chat. My partner and I had a later dinner at Lady Vandeburg and OMG I’ve never seen so many options for Gluten free eaters, we were spoilt for choice. The main meals were an amazing size and served literally so fast. The deserts… where do I even start. We had the brownie and just the classic donut fries, at first without sauce but the owner Catherine encouraged me to try one. Offt am I so glad she did because that caramel sauce was to die for. 10/10 I couldn’t be happier with our choice to visit. Every single one of the staff were so happy to accommodate us and were incredibly friendly. I’ll be definitely dropping back in before we head back home. Thankyou again guys for such a fun time. The music was top tier as well 😜

No longer 100% gluten free, and can’t even cater for it adequately despite saying they can on their menu - didn’t notify us until 30 mins before our booking despite us specifying “gluten free” in our booking 5 days in advance, and couldn’t offer substitutions for their set menu (their menu now says only a couple of things aren’t gluten free, but we were told anything on the grill is no longer gluten free, so the menu is incorrect as well). To make matters worse, they take the full amount from your card for the set menu at the time of booking upfront, and then you have to wait days to get your money back if you’re not going. This place was an institution for coeliacs - if that’s why you were going, don’t bother.

Absolutely love it here! Staff are always super friendly and down to earth. Atmosphere is warm and cosy. Having a pub feed as a coeliac can be incredibly challenging but these guys make it so easy with their super inclusive menu and kitchen. Food is great and so is the drinks selection!

Fantastic all round. We didn't have a booking but the staff made room for us. Amazing food, great service and good pricing. My partner is celioac and they brought her a specialised menu and made everything she wanted completely gluten free. They even used a separate fryer for the chicken. Can recommend the feed me option.

Very helpful with a seperate gluten free menu offered for the GF foodies. Food always on point! Only thing I would recommend is more lemon on those roast potatoes (or on the side) YUM!

Unbelievably good gluten free pizza (and gnocchi). They make their own dough, and the texture is actually just like real pizza with the right chewiness and crisp. Expensive but worth it. They don’t skimp on toppings or cheese either. Very fast service.

Wonderful, soothing lighting and not too many tables squashed together. Not too loud either, you can hear your conversation. Our server was so attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and the drinks cold. They do take away meals too so we got our dessert to take home as we were full but the food was so good we didn’t want to miss out on something tomorrow. I love that nearly everything is gluten free. Highly recommend the gnocchi and the venue.

We arrived as first time visitors to Australia and 20mins before closing!! We asked if it was too late to order as we had just got off airplane and were starving they said no problem. We both had two drinks and I had an unbelievable pizza, my wife had gluten free pasta as she is gluten intolerant and had lots options, she said it was amazing. From the moment we walked into Suburban Rooftop, we were treated like VIPs. The customer service was hands-down some of the best I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant. Every staff member we encountered—from the host to the servers—was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We arrived a little early for our reservation, but the hostess was incredibly accommodating and got us seated with a great view almost immediately. Our server came over right away, introduced herself with a smile, and took the time to walk us through the menu, offering thoughtful recommendations based on our preferences. She checked in often, but never in an intrusive way—just the perfect balance of attentiveness and giving us space to enjoy our evening. Even when the restaurant started getting busier, the quality of service never slipped. Our water glasses were always full, empty plates cleared promptly, and our food was brought out at just the right pace. The manager even stopped by our table to ask how everything was, which really showed that they care about their guests' experiences. One of the highlights was how accommodating the staff were to dietary needs—our friend has a gluten allergy, and the kitchen went above and beyond to customize a dish for her without hesitation. It’s clear that customer satisfaction is a priority at Suburban Rooftop. Not only is the food excellent and the ambiance stunning, but the people truly make it a five-star experience. We came for a late lunch and had a few smaller dishes, they were all fantastic. Everything was so delicious, we had the focaccia with pumpkin tahini, the romana beans, chipotle chicken and the arancini. Some of the tastiest food we’ve had in Melbourne. It’s a great location on the beach and has a nice vibe. Plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options.

Excellent spot especially for food allergies. Wife and I had an great 3 course meal that cater for low fodmap and celiac diets. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable about our requirements and there recommendations of baked brie and the risotto were spot on! The low fodmap wagyu burger was one of the best I have eaten. This meal was the highlight of our stay in the city. Will definitely be back and will bring more people :-)

I am so glad I found this joint! A cool space with a good atmosphere and excellent customer service. If you’ve seen any of my food posts you’ll know I’m that person with a ridiculous food intolerance that is usually not considered. Here it was! They have a separate emu that lists the items open for vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, fructose free, onion free and garlic and onion free! What? So good! My bloke and I shared a few dishes when eating out for the first time in… for ever! Delicious cabbage and pork dumplings, legit fried rice, crispy pork belly and eye fillet steak - we had sauces on the side for him to enjoy and me to avoid and both thoroughly enjoyed a top notch, tasty meal along with a couple of crisp and light rice lagers. I bought some of the yummy smelling teas to go. A first class experience. Thanks!

I asked for a lactose free hot chocolate and was given oat milk, which contains gluten. As well as given seasoning on my meal that also contains gluten, after stating clearly that I was gluten intolerant. Staff are not knowledgeable about dietary restrictions and intolerances.
