Our first time visiting this establishment with friends. First, there is no really good parking on the street, so we opted to park in the garage at $14/hr. Upon entry, we were greeted immediately. The hostess greeted us with a warm smile and an abundance of energy. The waiting area was fairly small, so we felt slightly claustrophobic waiting for someone to guide us to our table. Our wait was about 10 minutes before we were seated. It was very busy inside the restaurant. About 10 minutes after being seated, our waitress took our drink and appetizers orders. The restaurant was out of deviled eggs, so we decided on vegetables and hummus plates, as well as biscuits and jam for the table. I'm gluten-free, so I didn't partake of either appetizers, but the remainder of the table did and said it was very good. The only complaint was that the krackers on the hummus plate were dry. Our drinks were backed up at the bar for well over 30 minutes. For sake of sparing you an even longer review, I'll report on the two entrees hubby, and I had at dinner. Hubby ordered the chicken and waffles with plain waffles. I ordered the gluten-free spare ribs with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables. Hubby's chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Seasoned well. But the hot sauce really brought out its flavor. He said the chicken was much better with the hot sauce. Yet, the waffles he said tasted better on their own without the syrup. He said the syrup had an odd taste to it, not robust with a mild sweetness like a maple syrup normally taste. My GF spareribs were mildly seasoned. It was tender, and the potatoes and vegetables complimented it well. However, as a Southern transplant, I didn't feel it captured the flavors I grew up eating or could cook at home. Our waitress was very sweet and kind. She provided a great service, and she was well-versed on the menu, it's options and guidance on selections. I wasn't really impressed with the food. It was edible, but not as flavorful as I'd hoped.

This is the perfect place to bring yourself if you wanna get some work or reading done, all day breakfast and a wonderful coffee/ cocktail menu . A beautiful restaurant with amazing views and delicious food. The staff were very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Two members of the party are gluten intolerant so this was very helpful. The drinks were also tasty!

So far my favorite restaurant in DC. I got the steak and my partner got crab stuffed shrimp and we have no complaints about either, so so so freaking good. My favorite part was the gluten free bread. I’ve had celiac disease for 10 years now and this was the best gluten free bread I’ve ever had. I would come back just for it. Fresh baked, perfect flavor, soft and fluffy, seriously to die for. Also plenty of gluten free desserts, I got the brownie sundae and it was the perfect way to end the meal. Only downsides are the price, parking can be difficult and it was fairly busy. However all worth it for me.

Good GF chicken pad Thai with some gluten free options on the menu. A few GF appetizers and entrees. While I liked my meal, it had a fishy taste to it, which I found odd, but not at all bad. The regular pad Thai on the menu is with shrimp, so I wondered if that might be why. This little place is next to CityCenter. Great location.
