Sunday Brunch. They were slow and word has it the Brunch feature is going away based on volume, attendance. My wife and I were the only customers which was nice from our perspective. She had the Shrimp and Grits and I had the Steak and Eggs, both very tasteful and well prepared. One complaint, they both could have been warmer. Decent wine, adult beverage selection. Excellent Gluten Free food and dessert selection.
Really good beer at this brewery. The food is well made and the service is very friendly. Decent vegetarian options and also options to have gluten free substitutions as well. Wait can be a little on the long side but still highly recommend to stop by when in Durango!
Excellent. Premium food, service, and cocktails. Meets all expectations for an important business dinner, date night, or special occasion. Attention to details, creative food and cocktail offerings...this is one of my favorite restaurants of all my travels. They consistently deliver an A+ experience. Oh, and bonus for being extremely accommodating to my gluten and dairy sensitivities.
This Durango restaurant is AMAZING! The food is sourced locally and every time I eat there, I feel HEALTHY and HAPPY when I walk out. Delicious fresh salads with 1/2 size available, wonderful soups many of which are gluten free, sandwiches, sweet treats, and their focaccia is great but you must try their corn muffins; they are made with sautéed onions and green chilis packed in! Eat on site or take a bunch of things home, HIGHLY recommend
Pretty good BBQ, the various condiments they served were excellent. We got a platter with brisket, ribs, chicken, links, the works and added their potato salad. My husband and I really liked the various sauces that came with it but they weren't BBQ sauce. The sauce at our table was a Carolina vinegar style sauce in my opinion and the BBQ didn't strike me as traditional Texas dry rub. I'm from Oklahoma and have traveled all over Texas trying BBQ, stopped off in Tennessee lots of times and always gotten BBQ, lived in Virginia for a year, and used to vacation in N. Carolina as a kiddo (more BBQ). Our Texas cousins that have a home in Durango recommended it and it did not disappoint.
Also in the summer, sit outside. That was probably my favorite part.
It doesn't have a dedicated gluten-free option per se but the meat is gluten-free.
Had a wonderful experience here, even with it being early morning (before 6am) the food were cooked perfectly-to-order (even had gluten-free opts. for those with a sensitivity), had an updated retro feel, such friendly service (Trey was incredibly kind) and very attentive, plus the coffee never emptied :) overall a superb experience!
The GF crust was fine. The problem was that there was hardly anything on top of the crust. We got a pepperoni and margarita GF pizza. The Margarita pizza was dry and had a few small pieces of cheese and hardly any sauce. The pepperoni was better as it at least had a decent amount of pepperonis but not much cheese or sauce. It’s also a very small pizza and cost over $40 for the two of them! NOT WORTH IT for what you get. Skip this place and spend your $ elsewhere as there’s lots of GF options in Durango.
The gluten-free options are plentiful and phenomenal. I got the fried pork rolls as an appetizer and could not have been happier. Such an incredible amount of crunch and flavor. The sesame beef teriyaki bowl was also a real winner.
This was the best place to eat in Durango. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone. Good service and absolutely wonderful food! Even good if you're gluten and dairy free (I got shredded beef tacos, no dairy, corn tortilla)
We found this restaurant as we were passing through Durango and it was a great find. Nice local flair with a ln excellent pizza selection--by the slice or 12". They even had a cauliflower gluten free crust option which we needed for one of our kids. Small place with a bar and a small outdoor patio that is dog friendly. Recommend the outdoor seating as the inside was a little stuffy. The family was happy with the food and the atmosphere. It did take a while to be greeted by someone to take our order and then we still weren't sure how they did things. Service could be a little better if the staff was more attentive. Overall a great little place with great food.
Really good wings and pizza. We stopped in on a road trip. Definitely a little pricey but they have gluten free options. The garlic parm wings are a must try!
We found this gem through the Find Me Gluten Free app whilst passing through Durango.
We ordered the Zuppa Toscana, Ragu di Cinghiale, Fettucine al Tartufo, a few wines, and gelato to go. Everything was delicious, and far exceeded our expectations for our first visit.
A huge THANK YOU to Stephanie, Fiona with the brilliant eye make-up (superb!), and Tracy. An extremely well-run outfit, and a must visit for anyone in Durango.
Super accommodating!! Just make sure to ask if you’re very sensitive as some things are pre made on the same grill as the tortillas (I know tofu is one but not sure on anything else!) Otherwise everything is great!!
Himalayan Kitchen in Durango, Colorado, offers a delightful fusion of Nepalese, Tibetan, and Indian cuisines. Located at 992 Main Ave, this restaurant is known for its flavorful dishes like yak korma, Sherpa stew, and momo dumplings. The ambiance features exposed brick walls and vibrant prayer flags, creating an inviting atmosphere. With a 4.3-star rating on Tripadvisor, patrons appreciate the diverse menu and warm hospitality. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are available, catering to various dietary preferences. Whether you’re seeking a hearty meal after outdoor adventures or exploring global flavors, Himalayan Kitchen is a must-visit in Durango.
I ate for the second time, and I’m really impressed. IMO they have the best gluten-free baked goods in town. The staff is friendly and always ready with great meal suggestions, and the food is fresh, flavorful, and interesting. I had the ham, brie, and apple sandwich with hot honey mustard for lunch, and it was a delicious combination of flavors.
The highlight, though, was the desserts. We had the carrot cake and chocolate cake, both with unique flavor combinations and textures. Neither tasted gluten-free, which is a big plus—they were moist, not too sweet, and held together well.
Overall, I love this place. The only improvements I could suggest are a bit more seating and a satellite location downtown!
This place has gone downhill over the years. There is better pizza and wings at Happy Pappys and Fathers Daughters. And the gluten free pizza is terrible!
All their sauces are made with tamari, for one. I worked with the owners at other restaurants in college, and have celiac disease, and it’s something they take seriously and work hard to accommodate.
Vegan pizza! Just ask for the dairy-free cheese. Gluten-free crust is also available, if you've never tried it, give avocado on your pizza a try, it's 🔥! They also usually have gluten-free beer, non-alcoholic beers, huckleberry soda, and at least one cider. Great pinball as well! J. Bos is a neighborhood gem.
The first place I stop to eat, upon entering Durango. This spot is filled with Cajun charm and southern hospitality. Perfect if you are missing some home cooking, from the Gulf Coast. 🦐 Beautiful flowers line the outdoor area. Cute bees like to pop by and pollinate. 🐝 Be prepared to come in early and get in line. The food is delicious! Well worth the wait! Gluten free options are clearly listed on the menu. The catfish and oysters were available gluten free (Hwy 3 shout out THANK YOU for the GF options). Full bar is available. Weekly specials. Friendly guests and bartenders. A fun time always included.
Super cool location! They have a good amount of options for vegetarian and gluten free people. The food was super yummy! The zuberfizz soda is my new favorite, thankfully my town an hour away carries it since I am now addicted lol.
The margaritas are the best we have ever had anywhere, and we can bring our dogs and sit just outside the restaurant because it's located inside the Main Avenue Mall between 8th and 9th Street. They serve gluten free chips so I feel better about eating them (you can't taste the difference, but I can feel the difference). I try not to eat rice and beans in general, to keep my weight down, and they are very accommodating when I ask for a salad on the other side of the plate so I can have a lighter meal. I love, love, love their Camarones A La Crema, their Camarones a la Diabla which has a nice spice, not too spicy, but really nice. Grilled jalapenos always adds a nice kick with anything I order. Their homemade mole is amazing, but the Pollo En Mole Poblano is a pretty large dish for me. It is so good you want to finish your plate. My husband loves their margaritas (the one he named Suzanne) and their lengua burrito or tacos. I try to encourage him to try more things on their menu, because I'm always discovering a new favorite... but he rarely orders something other than their lengua. I love their lengua tacos and their shrimp tacos and shrimp fajitas or shrimp fajita salad served in a taco shell, but I want to eat the whole shell, so I don't order that very often because I don't trust myself when trying to maintain my weight and not go overboard. If we just want appetizers and a margarita? We love their Camarones Locos, and the Fried Calamari is so good, it's not greasy at all, but instead it has a light coating (I don't want to say breading because it doesn't seem like breading) and the dipping sauce is delicious... the Ceviche is amazing, but even better is their Botanas which as Ceviche inside along with fresh oysters on the half shell. The staff is very, very friendly and sweet... we love all of them!
The Diamond Belle is situated within historic The Strater Hotel. I’ve been coming for years. We have a summer home just outside Durango. The Diamond Belle has maintained the historic look of old western bars. They have a honky tonk piano player in the evening. The food is very good. We’ve had pretty much everything on the menu. My favorites are the Italian Grinder and French Dip. My wife has to eat gluten free and has never been disappointed. Their gluten free bread is one of the best she’s had. Service is excellent. Staffing is a real issue for them. As a tourist area, it’s hard to predict what staff might be necessary. When the dining room gets very busy, the executive staff will come out and assist the theme/dressed wait staff. All in all, the Diamond Belle saloon is a great place to get a drink or eat a meal when spending the day in Durango. We’ve been coming for almost 50 years.
Every time I’ve eaten here has been an incredible treat! I really appreciate how clearly the gluten free items are marked on the menu and how wonderful each item has tasted. From the GF Philly roll to the GF Tempura and even the GF Orange chicken, each item has been perfectly crafted with outstanding flavors! The service is impeccable and my experience’s excellent overall . I can’t wait to eat here each time we visit Durango, CO.
Saw this restaurant in google maps, good looked good and it was indeed delicious. Service is great, you don’t have to ask for refills as the waiter is ready to serve you more, will come again and would recommend anyone to come and enjoy the fresh food, options for gluten free and healthy options as well. The parking in this snowy weather is clear of snow. Should have an easy way in and out. WiFi is available.
I previously gave 5 stars. Went there a lot but they showed their truth tonight. Told me I was wrong when I said my dish was definitely not gluten-free. I'm celiac and can taste the difference instantly. I was told I didn't know what I was talking about. My previously favorite gluten-free italian is now my worst. How dare you tell me it's gluten-free when it's not!!
Talk about OPULENCE. Josh "lobster" Lobato is the greatest bartender in Durango. He's good at everything he does. Wears birks? Check. Pours the shots? Check. Rides the waves on riverdays dressed as a lobster and makes front page? Check.
My top 5 sammies (so far) are as follows :
1. The cold italian- BOMB. You've got all the good meats right there.
2. The burger. If you dont know what you want, just get the mf burger.
3. The meatball. The SAUCE.
4. The southwest.
5. The gobbler. Thanksgiving dinner in a Sandwich.
Keep in mind that I'm celiac and I have to get the gluten free bread so it's all about the filling, babyyy. Their side salad is the bomb too and worth the lil upcharge.
We came to 11th Street Station because it was dog friendly and kind of stumbled on this food truck because they had gluten-free and dairy-free options. We were blown away at how delicious it was. I got the Tree-Hugger, a vegan mix of salad, rice, lentils, and a super yum secret sauce. It was a perfect mix of crunchy and saucy, warm and cool. My guy got the Island BBQ Bowl and said it was a great blend of flavors. The pineapple added a nice touch. I almost want to come back again tomorrow. This place definitely deserves more stars.
Delicious, authentic Mexican food and wonderful, attentive service! I cannot have gluten and they have plenty of gluten-free options. My husband and I shared seafood molcajete (with gluten-free, corn tortillas). It was super tasty, authentic flavors and the seafood was fresh and abundant! Our son had a few different tacos and loved then all. The lengua (beef tongue) taco in particular were so so good. Very tender and flavorful. Employees were all super friendly and attentive, service was very quick as well. We look forward to coming again next time we're in Durango!
Wow, what a find! Tucked away up on North Main, you'll find the cutest little food truck court. The day I stopped by, I decided to give Adoughbe Pizza (with a name that clever how could I pass it up) a try. The wood fired crust is cooked to perfection, the quality and freshness of ingredients come through in every tasty bite, super friendly service (from the owner Louie), and the prices are truly affordable. Perfect for travels staying at any one of the nearby hotels or famished skiers after a day on the slopes. Adoughbe offers a nice selection of vegetarian and carnivore options, as well as a gluten-free crust option. There is plenty of parking and a cozy fire pit with ample seating if you choose to enjoy your meal on site. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed!
Thank you, Avery, for wonderful service (again!). Thanks to the kitchen for delicious enchiladas and making sure everything was gluten free for us. Celiac sucks. It’s nice enjoy a good meal with confidence.
