We went to this restaurant with three small children and we were really satisfied. The staff was exceptional: very kind, attentive and always available. A special mention goes to the gluten-free fried fish, extraordinary for its crunchiness and flavor, it is difficult to find better! All the food was excellent, with fresh and well-cooked raw materials.
The only small flaw was a bit of slowness in the kitchen, but it was largely compensated by the quality of the dishes and the courtesy of the service. Congratulations to all the staff!

One of the best pizzas I've ever eaten! We took two takeaway pizzas, one gourmet and one gluten-free. Excellent dough, light and tasty with quality ingredients!
The food is excellent. We already were quite a few times here, because everything was just fine, the staff kind … Furthermore, they are very informed about handling with a gluten free diet. I even get a piece of gluten free bread from “Schär” everytime I am having my dinner there.

We stayed at Battigia at the end of August 23, there were 5 of us including 2 adults and 3 children, two of whom had celiac disease.
We were greeted with a smile and had a very good time.
First of all we took 3 oysters to eat on the beach in front while admiring the sunset with a good head of bubbles. Everything top, both the glass of Franciacorta and the oysters, Gillardeau, super..! Oysters and glass 28 euros, I would say more than honest given the quality and the location..!
Then we sat down and had 3 courses to share and two desserts. All very good and super available to make a pasta dish with gluten-free pasta that our two children really enjoyed.
We spent the right amount for the place, the quality and the service.
Small constructive criticism, in the fried food there were a lot of vegetables in proportion to the fish..!
However, everything was perfect..!
I had dinner here with my family and I found a very pleasant environment, the staff very kind and helpful (I have celiac disease and I can say I ate some excellent dishes), the dishes were cooked with particular attention and attention to every aspect. It is a place where we will return and which I highly recommend...
In summary: restaurant not to be missed in Capraia. The strong point is the quality of the sea-scented menu, which would not look out of place compared to much more renowned restaurants in other locations.

The restaurant is on two levels, one below street level and one above. There are seats both outside and inside, even inside it's cool and it's good because everything is open and well ventilated. The location is just outside the port of Capraia, let's say at the first bend on the road that goes to the town. The road has little/no traffic as it is in Capraia. Light colors reign supreme, with a structure reminiscent of an English-style winter garden. I must say the maintenance and furnishings were very well taken care of. The mise en place is pleasant and of high quality, adequate for the level of the restaurant
Food - 5 stars
This is the real strength of the restaurant, we found absolute excellence especially in the red seafood sauces, truly balanced as is very rare to find and also in the desserts.
The rest is also good, with quality raw materials with adequate preparation, the focus is above all on the quality of the food.
I recommend the Cherie starter, squid linguine, stuffed squid and Cherie cake. Even in desserts, in my opinion we are at excellent quality pastry levels

Conclusion: the restaurant deserves a lot, we will certainly return when we are in Capraia. I would like to point out that the dining room and kitchen crew is all female, with an attention to detail that perhaps only women can have.
Nice place on the pier with tables under umbrellas although a little too close together. The menu is quite varied, the dishes are very good and they also have gluten-free dishes. The service is a bit messy with so many waiters going around and you don't understand which one to ask, we ordered the first courses and the drinks from 3 different people then for the seconds no one stopped by to ask. Honest prices.

Excellent food! Courtesy and kindness! Lots of choices for those with celiac disease. For the first time I felt like I was on an equal footing, as if my celiac disease wasn't a problem! I found options on everything, even desserts, spoiled for choice! I had an appetizer of cured meats and cheeses, falafel, wild boar and a delicious chocolate dessert (mollone). But I also got to taste my husband's tiramisu! Great! I will definitely be back as soon as possible!
