Great gluten-free ramen and vegan and gluten-free gyoza. They saved my dinner, and it was a great rescue 😋😋😋 They don't guarantee contamination since they don't have separate kitchens, but they proved to be attentive and prepared. I highly recommend it 😊

this was one of my favorite places to eat while in japan. a quiet bar/restaurant in kyoto that has gluten free and vegetarian friendly options. the rice bread was incredible. the veggie curry and white miso strew was so delicious i still think about it to this day. wish i had spent more time in kyoto so i could have eaten here a second time.

A rare gem! The chef is extremely kind and adapts perfectly to dietary needs. He specially prepared a vegan broth for me and served other gluten-intolerant guests with a special sauce as well. Lunch was delicious, everything freshly prepared before our eyes. The chef works hard, and it shows in his kitchen. The restaurant's atmosphere is very peaceful! We highly recommend it.

We chose this bar because we were visiting the temple area in Kyoto, and we were looking for a gluten-free place, and we had a great time, the choice on the menu is very limited, two sandwiches (with very good bread) and 4-5 desserts, then they only have coffee to drink or a few other things (no soft drinks). It is a very elegant place, you can see the artistic imprint of the owner. The staff is very kind and also spoke very good English. Prices a little high but everything is quality and a zen environment. Ah from the back you can see the pagoda directly!

Could not recommend this place more! Especially if you are gluten free! Not only is the sushi incredible, but they also have gluten free soy sauce which was a blessing to find. The atmosphere is great, cozy and peaceful. The staff are some of the friendliest people I have met, it was so good we had to come back again for our last meal in Kyoto!

The açaí bowl was very good; however, we found the service disinterested and the atmosphere lacking. If you’re in the area and need a gluten-free bite, it’s worth a stop, but I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way to visit this location.

A quaint little coffee shop. Not to be missed if you are over by the Ryōan-ji temple. Stop in for a slice of lavender cheese cake and a cup. I know the cheese cake was gluten free but I believe all their cakes were.

Small place very close to Kinkaku-ji, very kind and smiling! Excellent okonomiyaki and Japanese curry, both available in gluten free version (not guaranteed non-contamination like in many places). My non-celiac husband really appreciated the fried noodles. Good quality/price ratio. Recommended!!!

Soba (soba) & udon (udon) shop information Juwari Soba Specialty Store 10 Soba Kyoto Miyukicho Branch (341-7 Daimonji-cho, Miyukicho-dori Oikeshita-ru, Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto City) I visited with my wife for lunch on Wednesday, April 30, 2025🥢 This is a soba restaurant based on the concept of 100% soba noodles that can be eaten for just one coin.We want you to enjoy delicious 100% soba noodles made with domestic buckwheat flour.The tempura is also made with gluten-free buckwheat flour instead of wheat flour. Today I ordered the new style cold mixed soba Genovese (990 yen), maitake tempura, and red ginger onion kakiage 😀 My wife ordered zaru soba (500 yen), maitake mushroom tempura, and chikuwa tempura 😉 However, we like 100% soba and have eaten 100% soba from various places, but the flavor and texture of 100% soba did not feel like 100% soba. Also, the tempura and kakiage were not good enough🥴 The new style cold mixed soba Genovese was delicious, but that's about it😡 There was sobayu too••••••••••••••🤤 But at this price, it can't be helped. Thank you for the meal🙏

Very authentic experience. Only one man running the whole restaurant, from catching the fish in the fish tank to cleaning tables, taking orders/payments and cooking. He used a translator device with every customer to explain how to eat the noodles. The soba noodles were 100% buckwheat, so gluten-free, as was the broth. He had an excellent understanding of gluten-free. The food was exceptional would recommend making a reservation, lots of people were turned away as it was full. Only 4 tables thar seat 2 people in the small restaurant.

Very good food, quiet and comfortable place. There are vegan and vegetarian options, but also a meat option and a fish option. Gluten-free food also specified on the menu. They have vegetable drinks for coffee. Highly recommended.

sad( ; ; ). The sponge is like hard rubber and is dry and hard to chew. Fresh cream makes me feel sick after I put it in my stomach. It's gluten free, isn't it? One cake cost nearly 1000 yen. We sell frozen cakes. The family only ate one bite. The staff worked hard. This is an oversight on the part of the owner. Aren't you ashamed of selling something like this? Do you think these are delicious to eat? The good thing is that the staff was polite and pleasant. Ingredients were also clearly labeled. Never Again

As a gluten free diner I have been craving simple eggs on toast, and this place offered gluten free avocado on toast with poached eggs, so I ordered some and an orange juice. It’s was super basic and small. There was no seasoning or special flavours to the avocado, which for the $40 AUD I paid (shocking I know but I was craving badly) It was neatly presented, but would have expected some kind of elevated dish. I had to salt and pepper it myself just to get some flavour. The bread a quarter of the size of regular bread. The service was lovely.
