Very gluten friendly - order was forgotten a couple times but gluten free frier for fries, pickle chips, fried chicken sandwiches/popcorn chicken and it was all incredible!
We really enjoyed our dinner at Casa Enrique. The guava margarita was so tasty, and as someone with celiac, there were plenty of gluten free options. I had the Enchiladas with salsa Verde and it did not dissapoint!
Such a delightful Friday dinner at Manetta’s!
We walked in without a reservation and they kindly accommodated us.
We started with a bottle of Chianti and the burrata special.
Then we split the gluten free carbonara and gluten free Bianca pizza. Both the gluten free pasta and pizza were incredible.
Our friend enjoyed a glutenful salmon pasta.
Friendly staff and warm atmosphere - they even had a gorgeous fire going on this cold winter night.
We had the pleasure of having Makina's food truck cater our wedding in Red Hook, Brooklyn. We were in search of a food truck that offered delicious vegan/vegetarian and gluten-free options, and could provide a unique experience for our guests. After trying Makina's food at their brick and mortar location in Queens, we were sold! The food is some of the best Ethiopian cuisine we've had in New York. Working with Eden was a seamless process - they were professional and responsive to all our inquiries. On the day of the wedding, they arrived on time and served the food quickly. Our guests raved about the mushroom & rosemary chicken tibs and the sambusas. One of our cousins even said it was the best meal he had in months! Thank you, Makina, for making our special day even more memorable!
I can't say enough about how great Manducatis Rustica is. We had a large group dinner here and the staff and chef were so accommodating to all dietary needs (I am gluten free and they had plenty of options!). They have a fabulous pre fixe menu with a lot of variety and we were surprised by how much food came with it, we definitely left stuffed! Loved the wine selections as well. The back patio is beautiful. Definitely a must-visit in Long Island City and worth making the visit out from Manhattan. Thanks Gianna and team!
Anthony and the servers make this place a gem. It is truly an amazing experience. Best Italian in the city. All of it was gluten free. Thank you Anthony.
Wow!!! What a cool place! We walked in out of the rain to belly up to the bar for a warming glass of bourbon and we were not disappointed. Bartender was friendly and knowledgeable, a neat pour could be had for $10-$20 and the star of the day? THE WINGS. Oh my God, seriously, the best wings I’ve had in 10 years. The sauces had a gorgeous amount of depth, flavor and heat and the snow sauce was a perfect complement. Many Gluten Free options! Can’t wait to go back!

Upon arrival, the staff were friendly and the space felt very cozy especially with the stark temperature difference nowadays between indoors and outdoors. The warm lighting as well as the combination of wood and metal fixtures works cohesively.
Ordered:
-Roti Massaman: roti bread with potato, onion, peanuts in massaman curry sauce garnished with fried onion. Medium spicy.
-Nam Tok Nuer (Beef Salad): Beef flank with dried chili, red onions, toasted rice powder, cilantro, scallion, mints and fish sauce lime dressing. Mild spicy. Gluten free.
The food was okay. Roti was freshly prepared, soft, and flaky. As for the massaman curry sauce, it was too tangy for my liking but the ingredients served with it were cooked perfectly. Also, I thought it was pretty mild in spice even though it is listed as medium spicy on the menu. I appreciated the thinly sliced beef flank for the salad item but it was well-done so it was chewy and made for quite the jaw workout. It would have benefitted with more toasted rice powder. If I were to order this dish in the future, I would ask for some fresh or extra dried chili on the side to spice things up a bit plus a side of sticky rice.
Overall, my dinner experience was not bad and I can see this business doing well in the neighborhood especially with their bar section. The space would be great for hosting small private events or celebrations too.
I love M. Wells. Food + service are always great. Devin's doing a killer job with the wine list (best list across all of LIC + Astoria in my opinion). They're great about dealing with my gluten-free situation. I will keep dining there regularly.
Where should I start ....
1. Atmosphere
The atmosphere at Soi was amazing. I love how they have a lot of different vibes going on at once. There's a chill vibe, a hip hop vibe, and even some house music playing. You never know what kind of vibe you'll get when you walk in.
2. Staff
The staff were super nice and welcoming. They were always happy to help us out and answer any questions we had.
3. Food
The food was great! Everything was tasty and fresh. My favorite thing about their menu was that everything was gluten-free. I'm not sure if they do this for everyone, but it was really helpful for me since I am gluten intolerant.
4. Overall Experience
We went to Carla after work and it was a fun way to end our day. I definitely recommend checking them out if you're looking for a place to eat.
Great Instagram Check In location to add to your profile lol..
Great joint for NY's classic slice.
The place is clean and welcoming, the pizza delicious (I personally love the garlic knots here).
I look forward to gluten free and vegan options coming soon.
I can’t eat anything with gluten so I didn’t try their iconic soufflé pancake. But their soft serve and Japanese pudding is the best soft serve in town and OMG the Japanese pudding tastes like the one I had in Tokyo! I’ve been trying to find Japanese pudding in New York and this is the only place I found. Every thing is made in house here, even Soft serve is their own recipe.
Spacious, clean, great ambience. It is only 20 minutes from Grand Central with Line 7. Perfect location to get away from the crowds in Manhattan where I can sip on my coffee, read a book and enjoy nice desserts. Highly recommended.
Had the absolute best experience this evening at Jaguar. The owner, chef and bartender were all incredibly friendly and accommodating to my dietary restrictions. For those with a celiac allergy, they have gluten free crepes!! Drinks were absolutely incredible, I got the strawberry mojito and now want to order the entire menu. A jewel has been added to Astoria and we will be back! ✨
Hands down the before gluten free pizza I have ever had in my life. The crust is so amazing (not like all the other places). It was thin and crusty, just the way a pizza should be. Everyone there is amazing!
