This is one of the first places I’ve had gluten-free Chinese food, and it reminds me of my childhood when my parents would treat me to (regular) Chinese food before I was diagnosed with celiac disease. Both my mom and I have celiac disease and have eaten here with confidence, as they have separate fryers to keep you safe. The ginger beef, sesame chicken, sweet and sour pork, and dumplings are my favourites (I couldn’t pick just one 🙊), and I’ve come here time and time again. AND- If you’re in for a crazy time, I recommend dining in after a late night out on the town (I won’t spoil the surprise but let me tell you, it’s unlike any dining experience I’ve ever had before and was unforgettable…).

One of the few places in town that will do gluten-free ramen for a celiac with meat-based bouillon. Gluten-free noodles are clear, rice-based noodles. While they do accommodate the restriction, many of the ramen toppings are still made with gluten-containing soy sauces, so are removed for celiac individuals. It would be great if they were able to prepare some of the common toppings with gluten-free tamari. Either way, the ramen was great and it was great for my friend with this stringent diet restriction to be able to have some. Thanks!

I met up with my brother and his son for lunch at Lulu Bar on 17th Avenue SW in Calgary! We had some very yummy Hawaiian food! The waiter was awesome! I wish I got his name! We ordered the Hot Dog Bao, Fried Coconut Squid, House Spam, Beef Tongue Skewer, Steamed Lobster Dumplings, BBQ Crispy Half Duck, Loco Moco and Hula Pie. We shared everything! The staff were very serious about making sure everything was gluten free (gravy on the side of the Loco Moco) for us! The weather was awesome so the opened up the patio. The ambience was relaxed and I felt pretty trendy eating there ❤️

This is hands down my favorite restaurant! Alex, our server, was amazing and so accommodating for our large group. Anticipate a bit of a wait, as the experience is entirely worth it! Most menu items are gluten free and the kitchen was phenomenal with accommodating my allergies. You must try the chips and salsa tasting option where you can sample all of the salsa and sauces! All in all, this is my 1# favorite place to eat in Canada! Who doesn't love good tacos? I recommend getting some to go or take home tacos!

I had the BEST brunch today at Red's Diner. They have plenty of options on the menu including vegetarian and gluten-free ones. I ordered the Montreal Smoked Meat Hash and it was scrumptious. I've never really liked hollandaise sauce but Red's does it so well that I ate all of it. The portion sizes are on par with the price. I left the restaurant pretty full and satisfied. The atmosphere is quite cozy and the waitresses were super friendly. I see why Red's Diner is so beloved in the community now!
