Excellent seared duck breast. The French onion soup was good but unremarkable. We couldn't figure out what was "wrong" with the focaccia bread until we realized it was gluten free - dry and dense. Desserts were excellent. On the whole, a good dining experience and worth another shot
All day and every day yes. I told myself I was going to be adventurous and not order their signature paella, but I ordered the paella 😀 The flavors and seafood was cooked to perfection, and I had enough to bring some home as well. I only wish that I had that char rice/ socarrat though there was like a little of it around the top of the paella pan. The wait staff was so attentive and recommended a delicious red (since I asked for red and enjoying their sangria) to go with the paella, so when she said it also tasted good with the gluten free cake I had to say yes. She spoke to me of her dreams of getting her sommelier certification- which I think she's already there!!
Absolutely fantastic.
Very gluten friendly, lots of gluten free options and gf pita is even available and the flavors don't suffer for it. Wonderfully accommodating staff.
If you get the grill for 2-3 with friends you will have plenty of food and probably still take some home. Fantastically filling.
Most Seattle restaurants aren't worth the prices they charge, but this was the first one I've been to in a minute that was really worth paying for both the food and experience.
Will be back.
Everything we had was very yummy! I’m vegetarian and gluten free, so it was awesome that they had both options readily available. The farmers soup was tomato bisque and it had great flavors! My boyfriend had the Mac and cheese and he said it was better than Beecher’s Mac and cheese, so you know it’s pretty good! We also enjoyed the potato wedges. We’ll be back!
I really appreciated the gluten free fish & chips! The coleslaw was raw cabbage with some dressing drizzled on- I was hoping for something a little more prepared. My partner's flatbread was excellent.
I love this restaurant! The food is amazing and I love that they have some gluten free options. However, it can get very noisy and that makes it hard to each other during dinner. Also, it is very pricey. I like to go for happy hour. Saves the bank and it is not as busy.
Love that they have dedicated gluten free fryers! Plenty of vegan and gluten free options and the food is great, with the exception of the fries (wish they were a bit sturdier for scooping up hummus). Highly recommend the falafel though, it is perfect.
Arabia was a delight to try. Our food was delicious, service was considerate and prompt, and the setting was pleasant. We'll definitely be returning!
I'm glad that there are multiple vegan-friendly entrees in addition to a collection of vegan-friendly mezze appetizers. The online menu and in-house menus are a bit confusing on this point. Some items are marked on both menus with a dairy-free symbol while mentioning feta and other dairy ingredients like a tzatziki sauce. The pita bread is specifically marked as dairy free and as non-dairy free on the in-house menu and is mentioned repeatedly as non-vegan online. When I spoke with our server, she confirmed that the pita is vegan as is normal. We were able to get the tzatziki on the side with our falafel and eggplant fritter dishes. They also have a gluten-free pita available for a small premium.
Portion sizes were comfortable given the menu prices. These are reasonable for Seattle, and we two were able to fill up with a mezze medley, an order of falafels, and the eggplant fritters. Everything was delicious, and the plate settings were cute and effective. The falafels were a particular treat, and the eggplant was deliciously melted inside its fried shell. The mojito mocktail was a delicious treat even if it cost $10. We could have done with an extra piece of pita or two, but everything lined up well with a little planning.
The restaurant bar may be prominent in the photos, but the atmosphere was calm on a weeknight, and there are several tables available to either side of the bar as well as outdoor tables. Three TVs played a basic scenic loop and didn't distract much. Everything was clean and felt well cared for.
Our server and a staff member behind the bar were both considerate, timely with their attention, and able to answer questions about the menu options. We couldn't have asked for a nicer experience and have a great Middle Eastern option in our neighborhood to return to!
Wow, this place was amazing! As someone with celiac, it's hard to find a place that gets it and has a big variety of gluten-free food without cross-contamination opportunities in the kitchen.
We got the babaganouge, chicken swarma plate with 2 kinds of rice, gluten-free pita, and halloumi fries. Everything was so good!
The GF pita is really filling though, you don't need 2 of them.
Definitely coming back and can't wait for their Bellevue location to open up!
My favorite Indian Restaurant!
I discovered Bay Leaf last year and have since eaten there many times with my family. The food is always flavorful and absolutely delicious (some of my favorites are the lamb saag and the chili paneer, but they also offer many yummy Mediterranean dishes). Service is always excellent, and the owners are welcoming and friendly. I also love that they have many gluten-free options. There is ample free parking in the public municipal parking garage across the street.
This place is delicious! We were pleasantly surprised to find out they have many gluten free and dairy free options! They are very accommodating. We will be back!
I’m gluten free and they were very accommodating. We got the chicken shawarma (SO GOOD) and the euro platter. The Euro platter is not gluten free but my spouse said it tastes great, like most euro meat! We would absolutely come back.
I had a wonderful experience here as a celiac gluten free person! I went with some family to tag along and was NOT expecting to be able to eat anything. I told this to the waitress and she immediately asked if it was an allergy or preference and I explained it was an allergy. She informed me of the gluten free options and was so kind. I don’t like red sauce so I was able to order GF rotini with butter on it and add parmesan, and grilled chicken. I got zuppa toscana as a soup. The manager actually brought my food out to me when it was ready and he informed me of all of the precautions taken- like changing to clean gloves, cleaning and sanitizing prep areas, using separate pots/pans/kitchen tools, etc. I felt really taken seriously and well accommodated. I will definitely be back!
The food at Olive Garden was as expected. 4 star food has always been my experience. I had gluten free pasta with pesto sauce and chicken on top. Chicken was over salted and pesto was a bit dry but pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. Salad there is always a favorite with the yummy house dressing. Service was fast and efficient. We were seated immediately on a Friday night around 5 PM.
Why am I just learning about this local gem?!?! Food was absolutely delicious and top notch service. Celiac here and ordered to go what I thought was gluten free for myself, they promptly called me back to clarify and offer other substitutions(huge points in my book) The lamb was amazing, so tender and flavorful. Also ordered for my non celiac family: the street fries, gyro sandwich and gyro plate and they had nothing but compliments on how tasty and good everything was. Seems we found a new favorite. Thank you for a wonderful experience and delicious food.
They had some really yummy gluten free and keto options (even if they aren't advertised that way.) I'd go back. I got the Turkish eggs and latte. Both were excellent.
Food was spectacular!
Several members of my family have gluten sensitivities, and the wait staff didn't realize until after we placed our initial orders that the food was cross contaminated with breaded items, but we got everything sorted out and we caught it before food was made. The staff was patient as everything played out and they retook our orders.
I love this place. I almost always get the chicken bowl, which you can request to be mild, medium or extra spicy. The chicken is very moist and flavorful and the garlic sauce is divine. They have delicious food and are accommodating to those who can’t either gluten or dairy/egg. It’s great how they label which items are gluten free / dairy free on the online menu. The only strange thing is that I’m unsure if/when they sell baba ghanoush, which I would order every time if I could. It is unavailable to order online but I did order it in-person once (the worker added for me as I was not able to locate it on the ordering system), so they must have it sometimes? I’m unclear as to what’s going on there. Would be nice to have all the time.
Casual, comfortable environment with large booths and the food is fresh and delicious, made to order! Plenty to love for a gluten free person, generous use of herbs and spices, so many great flavors.
Boy, it felt like we tried nearly the whole menu! We ordered a ton of food and honestly had a great time passing everything around and seeing what stood out.
🌟 Favorites:
- Labneh with dried tomatoes & mint – So, so good. Creamy, fresh, and the mint added the perfect touch.
- Wahl Grazing Lamb with ash-roasted yams, leek crème fraîche & hazelnut-lamb vinaigrette – Juicy lamb, great sauces, everything worked.
- WA Asparagus with apricots, walnuts, sorrel & ramps – It’s served cold (which surprised us), but it was still really tasty.
- Whipped Garlic – Loved this. Flavorful.
- Soft Serve Swirl (Dairy + Vegan flavors) – Don’t skip this. Get the swirl. It’s a must.
👎 Not for Me:
- Grilled Medjool Dates with Turmeric – Way too sweet and kind of weird. No one at the table liked it.
- Roasted chicken w/ a chili-fruit paste - weird sweet sauce, chicken was not juicy.
👀 Heads up if you're gluten-free:
I have a gluten allergy, and almost everything on the menu could be made gluten-free, which was awesome. They even had a crispy rice cake instead of pita for the spreads. Big plus.
💭 Overall:
Would I say it’s worth the massive hype online? Ehh, not really. It was definitely good—some dishes were really good—but not quite mind-blowing. Maybe I’m just a tough critic (NYC problems). Still, I’d go back, especially for the dips and soft serve.
Primo Grill is a very classy, yet relaxed restaurant. I absolutely loved the decor and vibe of the place. We were greeted right away. We had a reservation but I did see that people could walk-in and get sat as well. They offer gluten-free noodles and I highly recommend the shrimp scampi with those noodles (PHENOMENAL)! The service was incredible. If you save room for dessert, the bourbon chocolate cake is where it’s at (also gluten free and delicious). Overall a truly great experience and definitely worth the stop. Fair warning - dishes are $17 or so and up but still worth it in my opinion. This would be the perfect place for a date. As far as parking, they don’t have a designated parking lot but there is parking available on the street around the building and surrounding area.
Food was amazing, however a few off things. The baba ganoush starter was AHMAZING. I got the gluten free crackers with it which were okay, I did really appreciate the GF option. My partner got the Mujadara which was also insanely good for such a simple dish. I got the shish taouk, which was good, not amazing. I was disappointed in the lack of veggies on the dish and lack of sauce. It was $32 for a big chicken skewer with a small amount of sauce under it and maybe like 1/3 cup of a veggie medley with it. Felt way overpriced for what I got. Just a lot of chicken. It would be improved so much even if they added a little more sauce and veggies with it. It was good, just wouldn’t order that dish again. The cocktails too were good, just not super flavorful and didn’t feel they were worth the price. I do whole heartedly recommend the Mujadara and baba ganoush though!
The service and atmosphere was great too! I will come back for sure!
Wonderful Italian expletive, reminded me of being in Italy. The restaurant owner was very charismatic and helped us pick our dishes. They have a handmade gluten free pasta option, sort of like long bready gnocchi, or a teeny tiny moist breadstick.
Walked in on a busy Saturday night not sure if we’d get a table because reservations were full. To my surprise , we were seated right away. I am gluten free and restaurant eating can be tricky, however , silverwater made it easy! The sesame ahi starter was SO good, the gf pasta was amazing, and the gf mouse dessert was the cherry on top. 10/10 will return. Our server , Bob, was knowledgeable , kind and attentive.
Amazing food and drinks and the service is so great! I have celiac disease and ordering safely was so easy. There were so many options and everything was incredible. Definitely going back!
Love the food! Feels good and healthy after I eat. Gluten free and Vegan options. Falafel is amazing and crunchy! Chicken Shawarma is perfectly seasoned and their greek rice is superb. Nice atmosphere, good for a quick bite, to-go meal, or a date night sit down. Garlic sauce, tahini, and taziki are all fun for dipping! Will definitely make this a regular spot!
We drive over an hour to eat here because they have the best pizza, especially for those who are gluten free. The pepperoni is excellent and we get it every time.
Great food. If you are gluten and dairy free, I recommend no pita, the lentil soup if it's offered, and go with the lamb kabob. It's really good and healthy. Stay away from the chicken because it's marinated in yogurt
First time at Kate's, I had breakfast and my cousin had lunch so we were both glad we could do that. We were delighted to find this happy place that had simple yet cheery decor and a homey feel. The hot coffee was welcomed this cold morning and the food was very good, I had the gluten free toast with my breakfast and it was very tasty. Service was friendly, all around great experience.
The workers are super nice! I took my friend who has celiac a few weeks ago and while they don’t have a separate place to cook them they were super careful to clean everything and she didn’t have a reaction! She had never had a crepe before and loved it!
Great spot for an evening dinner. I tried the Muhammara and Hummus dips, both were spot-on with the warm pita bread. The server was attentive to gluten-free needs and offered cucumbers as a substitute. I had the Manti vegetarian dish with Turkish dumplings in a slightly sour tomato and olive oil sauce. While I wasn’t sure about the filling, the dish was unique and tasted good.
Very yummy vegan restaurant with a nice indoor space and outdoor patio. We loved our meals and appreciated their very clear notes on the menu regarding gluten and nuts. I have a nut allergy and am vegetarian and sometimes vegan restaurants make me nervous because nuts are used frequently. This restaurant has lots of nut free options and are very mindful of allergies!
We visited for the first time today around 3pm and it was the absolute best food. Our party of 6 ordered so many different appetizers and not one was mediocre. My husband and I especially enjoyed the Deviled Eggs, Whipped Feta with Honey, and African Peanut Stew. His Old Fashioned and my Anagog were also delicious.
This restaurant is fantastic if you have food allergens - there were multiple options for my vegetarian, dairy and gluten allergy-self and my meat-eating husband with no allergies.
- Only allergen note is to let your server know if you have a nut allergy as they are hidden in many of the dishes but can be made without.
10/10 would recommend!
Gluten-free. The Herb Grilled Salmon is ok, but no herbs present. The GF broccoli is just plain, dry, half cooked broccoli. Salad without croutons is always tasty. I guess I'll see how safe it was in a few hours.
There are gluten-free pizza and pasta options. If you ask the staff if anything else has gluten, ie. French fries or the Spinach Artichoke Dip, they refuse to check ingredients. They become impatient when you ask them to please check. The service is unfortunate because the pizza is really, really good.
Even though they were busy the waiter came and let us know what was going on with our order. First it was the computer system and then the cook forgot my Italian sausage.. it was no big deal for me I was there just relaxing. But I appreciated him letting us know. He was friendly. I ordered off the gluten free menu. I can't remember what my husband or my sister ordered.
The staff was welcoming, and provided guidance for a gluten free lunch. The lamb, chicken with onions/bell pepper was excellent. Hummus with thin cuts of potatoe(garlic) fries.
