Just had dinner there and was amazing! Best GF pizza, pasta, and Nutella crepe! As well as regular pasta for the family too! Definitely worth checking out. Serve and staff were great.
Busy but we got a seat fairly quickly. Menu is easy to navigate, choose a base.. gluten free option then choose your pizza flavour. Most delicious gluten free pizza I’ve ever eaten.
They didn’t earn the title of the best gluten free pizza in the world by accident — they truly do have some of the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had! Plus they can also make all their dishes lactose free. I ordered a gf and lactose free pizza and it was fantastic. They even had gluten free bread for an appetizer. Will be going back any chance we get!
I’m coeliac. My partner is not. She tried my pizza and said both the GF and none taste the same. We then both agreed they are the best pizzas we’ve ever had! Amazing and to top it off the staff are so friendly. Highly recommend!!!
A 100% dedicated GF restaurant as well as a grab and go window available next to the restaurant! I got a turkey, brie, arugula and tomato sandwich on focaccia at the take away window and it was so delicious!! And huge!!!
This place has ruined pizza for me - don't think anything else will ever compare! Hands down the best gluten free pizza I've had in my life. They have a separate kitchen upstairs for gluten free so it is safe for coeliacs too, and even have different plates / different pizza boxes for takeaway so you can be sure you're getting the right one. Just wish I knew how they make the dough so I could attempt to replicate it at home!
Highly recommend if looking for gluten free pizza in Naples, it is also AIC certified.
We were looking for a solution for gluten free food in Bologna. The Vecchio Mercato restaurant met the requirements because it is an AIC certified restaurant. We came at different times for lunch. Let's start by saying that the pasta they offer is all homemade. There are appetizers, first and second courses, both meat and fish and finally also desserts and ice creams, always made by them and NOT packaged. We took some aubergine appetizers (croquettes, parmigiana and rolls) all with excellent flavor and tasty enough to make you want to have more. But let's go slowly. The first ones. The maccheroncini with bacon and the very tasty Bolognese balanzoni gave no hint of a different flavor compared to a dish made with classic flours. Huge portions!!!! Here too, for the flavor (and if there had been some room in the stomach) we would have taken another portion. The seconds. The bacon with a bed of polenta cooked to perfection, balanced in flavor and very tender meat, so much so that it could be cut with a fork and finally the Petroniana cutlet. Well, do you know ceramic trays? Well it was full of meat, here too cooked to perfection and loaded with ham (for those who know it, you know what I'm talking about) we struggled to finish it!! And finally the desserts... I repeat, the difference with those made with wheat flour is absolutely not noticeable! The staff, knowledgeable and kind, made us feel at home, even recommending dishes, which turned out to be excellent advice on pairings! A 10 out of 10 for the Vecchio Mercato!
Devine … pasta delish , pizza amazing so light, had the right amount of chew, a little Smokey from the fire …. Amazing ! Super helpful staff , seperate gf menu
Three stars just for the effort. Family dinner. From the outside, unfortunately, you cannot perceive the internal style, which is very pleasant and relaxing. However, it's a shame about the gluten-free pizza, which wasn't exceptional at all. The base is too hard, to the point that they bring you the 'meat' knife for the pizza cutting mission. Sour tomato and almost non-existent mozzarella. To confirm my opinion, while I was finishing mine, I saw the waitress take away a plate with a practically entire pizza and a neighbor at the table, who was also working hard on the plate to cut it. The waiters, impersonal, perfect only for communicating with foreign guests sitting at the tables. Sorry but we won't be back.
We received a recommendation today for the best Lasagna Bolognese in Bologna - it was correct. We had a fantastic meal tonight at La Capriata. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and we were offered a dedicated Gluten Free menu which was a nice touch. All four of us really enjoyed our dinner.
The best risotto of my life! We were treated wonderfully by the entire gluten-free menu. There are three types of gluten-free beer, tons of different risottos, and some delicious desserts. I'll be back on my next visit to Rome!
Great service and delicious food. They immediately asked if anyone needed gluten free menu as soon as we were seated, then they changed my place mat, cutlery and cup so that all staff could see. Everything was gluten free except the ravioli.
We came to this restaurant because they have a separate gluten free menu. The options are quite extensive, from gluten free spaghetti and pici to Tuscan beef tripe. They don't make the pasta themselves though. You do need to reserve in advance because the place is quite touristy and we found the atmosphere to be quite hectic.
After years we returned to Turin and couldn't help but eat here again. Any dish on the menu will leave you satisfied. Also for gluten and lactose intolerance problems. We'll be back soon 🤩
We ate here for lunch today, excellent service and excellent food. We have two people with celiac disease and the care and attention of the staff was excellent. Fair price, despite the distance we will definitely return.
Visited on May 13, 2025. Great restaurant. Very friendly and accommodating owner, who immediately asked if there were any gluten or lactose intolerances when explaining the menu.
My wife ordered a gluten-free pizza and chicken nuggets.
It was the best pizza she's had since being diagnosed with celiac disease.
The restaurant is AIC certified and highly recommended.
Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality. We'll be back! ❤️
Not a positive experience, the pasta arrived lukewarm, perhaps the sauce had been taken from the fridge and cooled the pasta, you could count 9 pieces of bacon in a large plate of pasta. The gluten-free pasta was so al dente, you couldn't eat it. In the side room you are left to your own devices, you have to go in search of staff.
This was amazing gluten free pizza! I could not tell the difference between regular and gf! They won awards for certified gluten free pizza. They have a separate oven they cook gf pizza.
I took my coeliac partner here and we were completely blown away by the amazing food that we had! From arancini to croissants, everything was delicious. My partner had never had such a range of pastries to choose from that he decided to try everything available. It was all fantastic and the staff were lovely. If you are in Milan please go and try this bakery out!
My girlfriend and I ate at this place two consecutive evenings, as my girlfriend has celiac disease. The menu, almost every course, also has a gluten-free option, so my girlfriend had a wide choice. Furthermore, the gluten-free draft beer and the first courses were really good, with just the right portions, neither too much nor too little. For celiac or vegetarian people, for whom there are many dedicated dishes, Al Carmine is one of the places I would recommend for eating well, even if you have very specific dietary needs.
We arrived at night in Florence and discovered this place for dinner. The prices are good and in relation to the food it was good. The dish in the photo is a beef burger that is served as a kind of pita, with salad, potatoes and barbecue to accompany. We also ordered an apperol spritz and coke.
Price for 2 people was €55 if that works for you as a reference.
The atmosphere is very local and simple, don't expect luxury. The service is good, they tried to speak in Spanish and it was good.
Something to take into account: Ask beforehand about the presentation of the dishes so that it does not surprise you. There are pizza options too, in case you don't want to explore other options on the menu. They have gluten free options, I liked that.
I hope my reference is useful to you 🤓
I had one of the most delicious gluten-free pizzas in Italy here!
I can only recommend it, and they paid special attention to the cutlery! Great place❤️
A decent spot for a celiac trying to navigate eating out while traveling. Being handed an entirely separate and gluten free menu felt comforting after walking out of a restaurant who wouldn’t indicate which, if any, dishes were safe. The meal itself was good for being gluten free. I’m only a few months in to my diagnosis so I still compare to regular pastas and dishes which can be tough. I ordered the ravioli which was semi-bland but I still enjoyed it.
A more than pleasant evening, both for the quality of the food and for the professionalism and friendliness of Francesco and Raffaele. We will definitely be back.
Highly recommended, even for gluten-free!
Good experience, wide choice on the gluten-free menu, good dishes served quickly. We ate an appetizer divided into 2, 2 fish main courses, accompanied by artisanal gluten-free bread, and freshly baked hot pizza focaccia. Drank 2 glasses of prosecco, 1 bottle of water, and finished with 2 sorbets
All of high quality with excellent flavor and TOP taste. Very high accuracy for the gluten-free department and also for the gluten-free, many excellent delicacies and everything delicious. the friendly, professional staff
