My daughter has a gluten allergy that makes her extremely nauseous and causes pain when she consumes it. Tonight our server assured us that they cooked it in a different fryer and my daughter got the chicken fingers. She feels amazing afterwards, coming up to me a few minutes ago asking if we could go back soon. Of course we can honey, dad always wants a shrimp Po' Boy.
Truly like an east coast oyster bar. Love this place.
The number of years I have waited for a gluten free fried chicken sandwich was WAY too long. Burning Bridges does it right!! I will continue to frequent this establishment over & over again (please don't judge!!!)
My son has allergies to wheat, dairy, egg, and nuts, so finding a place to go out is a challenge. We tried First Round after reading about their gluten free and vegan options online. The waiter listened to our concerns and had no problems asking the kitchen if he didn't know an answer to our question. We ordered the street tacos, and when they came to the table, we realized they were made with street corn (containing cheese) and not roasted corn like we thought. They immediately boxed up those tacos (and sent them home with us at no charge) and remade the tacos for my son with no dairy. He thought they were great! I had a chicken sandwich where the chicken was crispy on the outside and still juicy on the inside. We will definitely be repeat customers, as there is so much more on the menu we want to try.
WheatFields has long been a family favorite and a perfect place to celebrate Mother's Day. While the restaurant is only open until 2 p.m., the deli is often open until 3 p.m., but not always. I never thought you could get good French onion soup to go, but they mastered it! We also got a tuna croissant sandwich and a gluten-free quiche. Both were delicious! The service was perfect as well. Not to be punny, but the icing on the cake was picking up some strawberry wedding cake cupcakes, one of several signature bakery items. I think I wish there was a Wheatfields near me?!
As someone with Celiac, it's hard to find a GOOD place to eat where the staff is also kind to you and doesn't treat you like an inconvenience because of Celiac. I tried the Charred Burger Bar in Omaha today and will definitely be back! The waygu beef was 10/10 but I was just very impressed by the GF bun that didn't fall apart immediately, and wasn't gritty, as well as the fact that they have a separate fryer for fries + GF friendly oil. The server also had a list of celiac safe dips and sauces! Win win.
I love this place! I love that it's vegan and also offers a variety of gluten-free items. The shop is cute, has unique drinks, and the staff are welcoming.
I'm very disappointed that they got in a new batter of some sort that's super light and not very battery. Being gluten free I enjoyed that crunchy thickness and now it's just kind of a mushy cornmeal whatever on the outside that's not anywhere near where it was. Hopefully it'll change back. You really felt almost like it was out of a bag instead of their old homemade feeling thick and crunchy.
This place is delightful! The moment we walked in and set down it seemed as if we entered a friend’s home. Javier took care to ensure our party of 6 was served well. Our food was outstanding! Our gluten-free friends were so pleased at all of their delicious options! I wish we had a spot like this at our home. Outstanding!

So glad I got to stop and enjoy eating here! As a celiac girlie, it's hard to find safe restaurants and even rarer to find ones with robust gluten free menus. This one has it all!
I really enjoyed the lamb satay for dinner and the creme brulee for dessert. 10/10 will absolutely go here next time I'm in town!

My wife and I had an amazing experience at The Cheesecake Factory, thanks in large part to our wonderful waitress, Pat. We were seated right away, and Pat brought our drinks almost instantly. Her attentive and friendly service made our evening unforgettable—thank you, Pat!
The gluten-free options and the SkinnyLicious menu made it easy for both of us to find delicious meals that fit our dietary needs. We were impressed that there were gluten-free options on every page of the menu, even for dessert! We enjoyed the garden salads, spicy shrimp pasta (gluten-free), and the four cheese pasta. The portions were huge, and while my only small complaint was the shrimp portion (around 60 grams), my wife loved her four cheese pasta so much, she polished off the entire dish and salad (she’s 122 lbs!).
We couldn’t leave without taking home 5 different cheesecakes to enjoy later. Overall, this was a five-star experience, largely thanks to Pat’s exceptional service. We’ll definitely be back!
Spezia has always been one of our favorites. However, if I had to provide a rating based on our last two visits I would have given 1-2 stars. The food is very good and they have many gluten free options. Typically the service has been very good except for the last two times where we had the same waiter. Although he was a very pleasant boy, the first time I told him the meal had to be gluten free, yet he brought me regular pasta. This is a serious mistake for someone that has celiac disease. The second visit I reminded him to bring GF pasta, but he didn't bring our salad until after our meal. Both times he never checked on us until well after our meal was delivered and both times refills were slow even though they were not busy. Because we have always had good service in the past I'm only downgrading one star for now, but management needs to provide a refresher to their serve staff, especially when it comes to gluten.
Not gluten friendly like the Jersey Mike's in Denver. They must 1 Not follow the same SOP as the ones in Denver and 2 Not care about the the GF community. I'm not going to be going to them again. Horrible reaction later after eating only half of the sandwich.
Outdoor dining with our service animal who was loved and welcomed enthusiastically by the staff. Met some friends for dinner on the patio, and really enjoyed our visit to Lazlo's! 5/5 would recommend
Gluten free menu avaliable, with many selections. The salmon was outstanding, and the natural hickory smoke that fills the air leaves its mark on the flavorful salmon.
Food was Great! Husband had steak that was cooked to perfection. I had the Honey Garlic Chicken. Protocols for Celiac/Gluten Free safety were pretty good. No symptoms. Just wish they had more dessert choices for gluten free besides ice cream.
A Stellar Dining Experience at Plank Provisions – Omaha
If you’re looking for a restaurant that not only serves incredible food but also takes exceptional care of guests with dietary needs, look no further than Plank Provisions in Omaha. From the moment I walked in, the management and staff went above and beyond to ensure my dining experience was nothing short of perfect, particularly in accommodating my gluten-sensitive and other dietary needs.
I started with their Happy Hour Oysters, and they were absolutely divine—fresh, briny, and served with a selection of sauces that had the perfect balance of tang and heat. It’s clear that quality ingredients are a priority here, and they really set the tone for what was to come.
For my main, I had the Grilled Mahi Mahi Tacos, and they were nothing short of spectacular. The mahi mahi was cooked to perfection—flaky, tender, and bursting with flavor. The tacos were topped with a vibrant slaw and some included a tangy sauce that complemented the fish beautifully. And the best part? I could enjoy every bite without a worry, as the team at Plank made sure my tacos were prepared gluten-free, dairy-free, and egg-free, adhering to my dietary needs without compromising on taste.
What truly sets Plank Provisions apart is their exceptional service. The management and staff didn’t just accommodate my special requirements; they went out of their way to ensure I had an amazing experience. They were knowledgeable, kind, and made sure that I felt at ease with every aspect of my meal. Their attention to detail is second to none.
The gluten-sensitive menu itself is impressive. It’s rare to find a restaurant that doesn’t treat dietary restrictions as an afterthought, and at Plank, they truly excel in offering a variety of delicious, safe options that don’t sacrifice flavor or quality. Whether you have dietary restrictions or just appreciate great food, Plank has something for everyone.
Overall, my experience at Plank Provisions was nothing short of fantastic. Delicious food, stellar service, and a welcoming atmosphere make this place a must-visit in Omaha. I’ll certainly be returning soon, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience—gluten-sensitive or not!
They have things labeled as gluten free that are not. I have been sick for the last 12 hrs due to celiac disease. Celiac disease people beware, it was absolutely delicious but they gaslight you on the phone when you let them know that they gave you gluten and made you sick so that they don't get sued I guess. I had let my server know I have celiac. Very disappointing and I'm currently very sick from it
I love taking the family to Roja. There's tons of gluten free options for the celiac in my family. Their happy hour is great as well. For the prices you pay our bellies are happily filled.

Service was fast & friendly! Food was yummy 😋!! Some had sushi, crab Rangoon, Kong poo chicken, I had gluten-free general's shrimp! Was fantastic! Family got chocolate cake & fried cheesecake, they said was scrumptious 😋 great salads also! Excellent place to try!
Highly Recommended! My coworkers and I were in town for a conference and stumped upon Hook and Lime. First, the atmosphere inside was very pleasant, plus, the staff were all nice, friendly, and very accommodating since one of us had a gluten-free restriction. I especially love the Margarita with Pineapple infused and the Ahi Tuna Tostadas appetizer! I love it even more knowing they do everything from scratch. I’d love to come back here again for my next visit!!
We love Kinaara! The food is always amazing and love the specials they have. We have tried several vegan and meat dishes and everything is delicious. The owners always take the time to come to our table and ask how our food was. I appreciate that their menu is clearly marked with “gluten free” and “vegan”. It’s one of our go to restaurants that never disappoints!
I called to ask if they have gluten free options and if they cook with soy oil because my girlfriend is allergic to both. A woman answered the phone and hung up on me twice.
Ever since moving to Omaha about two years ago, me and my wife have always gone (or door dashed with the pandemic lol) to Blue for sushi. It is, by far, the our favorite place in Omaha (and we tried quite a few since moving here).
It's super tasty sushi and they are always super accomidating with my wife's gluten allergen. I know how annoying it is trying to deal with figuring out all gluten insensitive diet stuff, so it's really refreshing to see that kind if knowledge in food service.
Will definitely be back many more times!
Just got into town from California and the food is amazing. All dressings and sauces are so good. Pizza was good but a little on the thin side. Nice that they have gluten free. Well worth coming.
Actually go inside and order yourself and eat there!! That is the best way to enjoy a burrito bowl! If you're not gluten-free and getting an Actual wrapped burrito, then ordering to go is good! I like to see how much and what they add to my bowls, I like hot stuff to be hot and cold to be cold....when it's to go it will all get hot, then barely warm when you eat it....just the way that type of food is! Customer Service is always good and very accommodating! And YES guacamole is Extra! 🤣 Get it!!!! 😋
Excellent Italian food. Wide variety of gluten-free options. Attentive staff. It can be a bit too noisy in their small, wide open space to have an intimate conversation.
This is one of my favorite places to go for breakfast. I am gluten-free, and they offer a gf toast, but I have found that I can also do well with their regular sourdough toast from Le Quartier. The owners and the baristas are very friendly. Give it a try, I think you will love it too!
One of the only places I’ve been able to find that has a gluten AND dairy free pizza. The sauce is delicious, the vegan cheese is cheesy, and the gf crust is thin and crispy without tasting like cardboard. Bless 👏🏼
5 starts isn’t enough. Service was fantastic, food was delicious and incredibly accommodating for food allergies (gluten and dairy in my case). Would recomend this place to anyone travelling to Omaha.
Great place and even had a tasty gluten-free pizza. Price was surprisingly cheap. I'm not a consumer of alcohol but they had a lot of self-serve drinks on tap.
