We have visited Rocco's every year, typically multiple times, that we have visited AZ and thought the pizza was very good. This year was disappointing. My wife's gluten free had a less than satisfactory taste, my regular crust pepperoni/bacon was ok my not up to prior years' experiences. I doubt we will return in the future.
1000/10! If I lived in Tucson, Renee’s would be seeing me ALOT. Lots of Gluten Free options and super yummy! If you’re in Tucson and need a romantic dinner spot this is the one, the vibe was literally perfect!
We were a party of eight for Easter brunch, we ordered the tomato mozzarella drizzled in balsamic vinegar. The tomato was thin and appeared to have been overproduced from Saturday or even Friday a fresh basil leaf would have enlivened the presentation. We also ordered fried mozzarella. The breading was fresh and nicely fried, there was no flavor transfer indicating good fryer discipline. The gluten free mushrooms and cheese pizza enjoyed by my companions was well presented but not distinctive. The Tomato sauce used for the chicken parm and as a basis for the other tomato pasta dishes was flavorful. I noticed all of the pasta dishes were made with linguini. Unfortunately, the pasta appears to have been cooked long past al dente in bulk long ahead of service. NOT cooked to order. I’m not even sure the pasta was rinsed and chilled in ice water because the texture was so starchy because it may not have been cooked in enough water. It may not have been reheated in water but rather brought up to heat in some kind of green congealed creamy sauce with little distinct flavor of pesto no visible arugula or basil leaf entwined in a vibrant pasta pesto. The sunflower seeds were interesting but my northern Italian culinary training pesto is Pinole. When the dish was presented it appeared to have been molded in a bowl and turned onto plate guaranteed to hold its shape. The Service was friendly customer focused and very responsive. Outdoors under the veranda was perfect. Overall we enjoyed each others company
It pains me to write this review because I do really love the vegan fried rice here (one of the few gluten free and vegetarian options on the menu) but on NUMEROUS occasions (seriously four or five times now) we have either driven to the restaurant or ordered online only to be told they can't prepare our food because their burners are occupied. I understand that this is a small business, however, it's extremely frustrating to be refused service over and over again. I'm not sure if this is only an issue with the vegan fried rice dish or not, but if that is the case you shouldn't advertise vegan/gf food on your menu that you're unable or unprepared to make on a regular basis. It makes absolutely zero sense to advertise a dish on your menu and then turn your paying customers away....but that's just my personal opinion. For this reason my family and I will sadly no longer be spending our money at this establishment because we dont wish to have our time wasted repeatedly anymore :)
My mother in law, sister in law and I ate together here for dinner. We loved the service, the food, and the atmosphere. Everything was delicious and she was very respectful of my mom in laws gluten allergy. Thank you for a great evening and a wonderful meal! We will definately return.
This place sucks! This is the worst 50 dollars I ever spent and will not go back. Flavorless food, just awful. And the gluten free pizza tastes like crap. Costco gluten free pizza is 100x better. Do not eat here .
The a waitress was amazing but that’s about it after we placed our order we almost left .. my husband had bariatric surgery they wouldn’t let him order off the kids menu, I am gluten free and had a hard time finding options so I ended up with just a side of chicken .. my husband got chicken fingers that didn’t come until we were done eating they did comp for that so I will be thankful and they gave my son an ice cream sorry just overall won’t go back proof Is right across the way and way better
This was our first visit to Cafe Desta and it was amazing! The food was delicious and the restaurant is lovely. We will definitely be returning. Great place for people who are vegan and/or gluten free!
If you have a friend who is vegan or vegetarian, but you're not, definitely take them here. Excellent food. I tried a little bit of several dishes. I was impressed with all except the pickles, but I am not a pickle person anyway. I highly recommend the Peruvian Beef dish, the gluten free Mac and cheese, the broccoli side, and the falafel wrap.
Never had this kind of flavor.. wine soaked onions and wonderful Angus burger. I got a gluten free bun and it was so amazing. Scratch based kitchen made everything amazing. Gotta try!
I LOVE this place...they have the best burgers and fries!! The wheat free buns are fantastic...Im celiac and can't have any wheat/oats...I've never had cross contamination problems at Graze. I also can't eat any dairy and about 30 other foods...they are good about making sure my burger has no cheese and no Graze sauce.
Their veggie burger is very good and I’m obsessed with their farm salad. However, their gf bun is not very good. i just had to remove the bun entirely and wrap in the lettuce. Its nice they have the option though, so ant least why made an effort to accommodate gluten sensitivity. Also my most recent order was to-go and I paid $6 for a side of fries and i assumed that would be enough for two people, but it was an individual serving? Maybe they put the wrong size fry in our order? Overall good service, but there is room for improvement
Absolutely amazing. My sibling took me here and every bite was like heaven. There was a line, and the associates up front were efficient. I chose from the gluten free options of a soup with crispy pork belly and a side of rice. They bring it to you steaming, and every bite is better than the next. The peanuts complimented the dish beautifully, and I tried the tofu as well (the best tofu I’ve ever had). I also got a lemon honey drink, and it was so delicious. They come around to see how everything is, which is a nice touch. I will add this restaurant to my repertoire, I love them!
Love this place! First the food is phenomenal and the staff are always so welcoming and helpful. But have you had their cakes??? OMG they are amazing!!! I have ordered cupcakes on multiple occasions and my guests are always impressed by how delicious they are and always say “I can’t believe these are vegan and gluten free!”. My daughter graduated UofA this week so I ordered a cake for her party. WOW! It was gorgeous and so yummy! Everyone must try this place vegan or not you will love the food!
My family and I went to have a nice meal at dinner time on Sunday. First of all, we waited a very long time to get our order and order to the chef. I have to order a gluten-free meal. They were out of gluten-free noodles. Which was OK. I substituted it for spaghetti squash. My husband, he had a salad that was supposed to have bacon in it. There was no bacon in it. And a glass of wine is normally $18 but Sundays are happy hour ,so the glass of wine was $14. I knew all this . anyway I think it’s pretty pricey , I was disappointed . Unfortunately, we are not going to Zona 78 Italian restaurant!

I have mixed feelings. When we arrived the service was great & the waitress took an interest in our allergies (gluten, dairy). She told us about cross contamination & was so great.
Two of us were served our sandwiches (which were very good) but our friend did not receive her salad. We ordered a cutlery board & it came 1/2 way through our meal but the hummus was covered in cheese. I had to send it back
We finished our meal & our plates were cleared . A waitress (Shane) came with just a plate of gluten free bread. I explained that I sent hummus cutlery board back because it had cheese & decided to just cancel.
However, I was charged for the hummus cutlery board even though it was never served. When I told her, she seemed upset, grabbed the receipt & said she would have it removed. Crazy experience.
The guy who refilled our drink & cleared out table was super excellent.
When my girlfriend asked to make a note of her gluten allergy, the women at the drive through mockingly repeated "cAn YoU mAkE a nOtE" and then when we got to the window she was very condescending. Food allergies are serious and should not be mocked. Very rude staff, will not be revisting
Always delicious and I loved watching the employee take care of the teenage person in front of me who had Celiac disease. They did a great job changing gloves and looking up info on the sauces. (This issue is close to my heart since it affects my family too.)
Service was great. Burger patties are thin. Seating was short but overall we'd eat there again but get the doubles. Gluten free experience was awesome, thank you!!
Great tamales, great (welcoming, nice, helpful) service. Good vegetarian options, and clear markings for veg vs. vegan and gluten free. Sides are delicious too. Don’t forget some cinnamon crisps to go!
I absolutely love this restaurant! It’s my favorite restaurant in Tucson! Not just the food but also the atmosphere and service. My father and I like to go and I always get the butter chicken and garlic naan. He always gets the shrimp tandoori. The vegetable pakora is great too. My father is gluten and dairy free and he has no issues eating there. The staff is knowledgeable about what items are gluten and dairy free and I have never had a bad experience. I also love that they will customize what level of heat you want in your dish.

It’s the kind of space where chance meetings birth creative change, where ideas flow as easily as the coffee, and revolutionary conversations stoke impassioned visions for tomorrow.
You’ll find me here on sunny afternoons with my favorite drink, an extra dirty hot chai latte- perfection! ☕️ 🥧 Their menu has something for everyone, whether you’re vegan, gluten-free, have restrictions, or simply curious. Today I had the avocado toast and was pleasantly surprised to find they kept it simple and let the flavors speak for themselves! Not sure what to order? Just ask—the staff is as welcoming as the space itself.
With seating inside and out, nearby metered parking, and convenient options to pay with cash, card, or tap, Café Maggie’s makes grabbing a coffee or meal here easy. And don’t miss the people-watching! Located near the University and in the heart of historic 4th Ave, it’s perfect for a quick escape, gathering with friends, or just being in the moment.
Fantastic!!!! We just ate lunch at Queen Sheba, an authentic Eritrea restaurant., and it was a wonderful experience. The food was super tasty, featuring unfamiliar, yet delicious flavors. We ordered a couple combo plates (one lamb and one vegetarian), which were presented "family style." No utensils were used, and it was a lot of fun scooping up the entrees with fresh-baked, gluten-free Eritrea flatbread. Loved it!! If/when you are up for something completely different, but yummy . . . give Queen Sheba a try. I can't wait to bring the whole family there for a fun feast!
Ate it so fast didn't grab a photo. But absolutely delish. One of our favorite weekend breakfast stops when we're near by. I love the gluten free omelette. The smoked tomato has the perfect extra flavor. It's absolutely yum. I tend to stick to one item once I find it, but my husband has tried many different offerings and never a complaint. Highly recommend stop by and take a try. Not sure the bloody Marys are gluten free, but I drool every time one walks by the table. Give it a try.
I especially appreciate the care they take in preparing their gluten-free food. My wife has Celiac disease and is very sensitive to gluten and we've never had a contamination problem. Oh, and I like their sandwiches!
Pretty good burger. Nothing crazy good like Freddy's, but way better than a lot of chains. The reason this place stands out is the gluten free buns. They warm them up in the wrapper and they get soft and warm. It's pretty awesome to have it that way.
North Italia never disappoints. The short rib is incredible—rich, tender, and full of flavor. The shrimp scampi and eggplant appetizers are both delicious and perfectly executed. They also offer an excellent selection of wines to complement the meal.
The staff is always attentive and accommodating, especially with gluten-free and other special dietary needs, which is greatly appreciated.
The atmosphere is decent, but it can get quite noisy when the place is full—even out on the patio.
Despite that, it’s a fantastic dining experience overall. Highly recommend!
I've eaten their gluten free pizza many times and always enjoyed. This was the first time I did a delivery. The pizza was cold and stuck to the cardboard. Basically unedable. Lesson learned. Why they didn't have wax paper under the pizza is beyond me.

I love La Indita. I give them 5 stars! They are like family to me and I feel like I am sitting at the family table when I am eating there. I had my first date with my spouse of 31 years. In fact they catered my wedding! They are good and try to accommodate for gluten-free needs, they are VERY informative about their foods when asked, and I have to tell you their flautas with dipping sauces are the greatest. I am a huge fan of their soups and often get their soups. I love their tacos and mushroom taco is a fav, however, their carne seca taco is fabulous! Their food is homemade and they follow the recipes of their family handed down generation to generation, and it shows. This is a must when you have out of town guests. I love this place.
We had a great time. We had a large party and it was kinda busy so there were a few minor hiccups in service but overall it was good. The food was great, if a bit greasy. They even had an entire menu for gluten free folks and the food off it was just as good as the not gluten free food. They were very accommodating of our strange food requests and the food came out in a timely manner, considering the size of our party. Overall, a great little spot. Definitely consider a reservation if you have a large party (it was very easy to get a reservation). Highly recommend and we will probably be back.
If you let them know your gluten free they make extra care to not cross contaminate and they also will let you know you can pretty much modify majority of the menu to fit gluten free!
GLUTEN FREE
I have a gluten sensitivity and I really enjoyed their gluten free pizza. It was a really good thin crust.
They do tell you when you order that there can be cross contamination. I don't normally have an issue with cross contamination so I wasn't worried. I didn't have a reaction to Twin Peaks. They also have a GF that is a large! 😍 Also a huge win!
The rest of the family had a meatlovers and it was also delicious!
Definitely recommend!
First trying Cafe a la c’Art in chandler and it was phenomenal. I have food allergies and sometimes worry about eating at places. They have gluten free options and I was able to order my breakfast without dairy as well. Ellie was amazing. She asked how she could accommodate me and not in an annoying way. She gave so many different options for dairy free items and knew what foods had it in and didn’t. The food was phenomenal. One of the best breakfasts I’ve had hands down. My husband has no allergies and loved his omelet. Their fresh juices are great as well as their tea selection. They have something for everyone there. You won’t be disappointed. Give it a try.
We try and find a vegan restaurant when we travel. This one is a must if you are in Tucson. Also can accommodate gluten free which is hard to find one with both!
I love everything about REN ! Gluten free and vegan options . The mushroom latte ,vegan tamale & bagel with vegan cream cheese are my fave ! Indoor & outdoor courtyard seating . Typically very busy . Very vibey.
The manager, I believe his name is Matthew, has excellent customer service and an astounding work ethic for a guy his age. He is friendly and you can really tell that he cares about the quality of his work. All of these attributes are seen in the staff because of the leadership here; making this an enjoyable and friendly experience. Every time I come in I get a giant #13 done the mikes way on a gluten free bun and this establishment will clean everything and use new knives and such to prevent cross contaminations. I really appreciate the effort. 5 starts for this establishment!
Great Mexican restaurant! The staff is. Ery friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Great food, many options and good size portions. There is also keto friendly menu, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free. I recommend it 💯
Great restaurant close to Albertsons and my dry cleaners. Perfect stop after errands. Everyone seems to love it too, very crowded and well staffed. Lots of gluten-free and dairy-free options to choose from on the menu.
I'm going back and sit out on the patio in the shade and soak up the vibes.
