It's a tiny restaurant. Almost the entire menu is gluten-free. The gluten-free bread they make is delicious. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. We were there on a Saturday, and even though it was packed, the waiter was super friendly, and his wife, who runs the kitchen, did a wonderful job. When we return to Santiago, we'll definitely go back. Reservations are recommended.

I have to write this comment because how comfortable and safe I have felt at all times deserves to be recognized. They have a separate space in the kitchen for gluten-free dishes, they pay great attention to ensuring that all the dishes that come out of the kitchen are well identified. The place invites you to have a good meal or snack, I personally have come alone, and I think it was the wrong time, I ordered two dishes and dessert, and I spent about two hours to finish eating, the volandeiras from my point of view too charred, the salt was not questioned, it is better to err on the side of less as was the case, the sargo was well done but in my opinion I was expecting a slightly larger piece...and the rice pudding that is so famous in this land, is in front when it has to be sweet and creamy...I think it was not the best day to come to eat here, because what really attracted me was the extensive gluten-free menu they have... A must-stop at Combarro. 10/10 service, delicious food. We mentioned there was someone with celiac disease at our table, and it was no problem; they checked for allergens. The meats were listed on the menu as containing gluten because the potatoes can contain traces even if they're cooked in a separate fryer.

We arrived looking for a restaurant with gluten-free options and although they don't specify it on their menu, the staff confirmed that they had some options. Being in Betanzos it was obvious that we were going to order tortilla and it was delicious! We are delighted with Antía, our waitress today, a wonderful person who completely understood my panic with cross contamination and so on. I hope they add gluten-free options to the menu soon.

The place was packed, so I had to wait a bit. Even so, the lady who served us was very friendly, always smiling, and attentive to every customer's needs. I ordered the menu (two dishes to choose from + bread + drink + dessert + coffee for 16 euros!). The presentation of the dishes is wonderful, and the flavors don't disappoint. 15 people, a celiac and me vegan. Menu agreed days in advance. My dinner and the celiac arrived when the rest were in dessert. A very limited menu with no variation: salad and little else. My dessert was given "by mistake" to the celiac!!! which caused her to get sick. The waiter, a complete idiot, spilled the wine on me, and kept saying that he has his schedule and that we should finish NOW, that he "wants to leave", when it was the restaurant's fault, well. It took them forever to start serving the dishes and especially the 2 special menus. Not to return and be very careful with celiacs/vegans and other special menus because they laugh at it.

To begin with, the place is very comfortable and they treat you super close (they are tremendously attentive and very nice). Everything we ordered was exquisite. They had one of our favorite wines on the menu; and, since desserts belong to the heart, logically we did not leave without first enjoying them (what a delight). To keep in mind: I have celiac disease and how wonderful it is to be able to enjoy exactly the same as everyone else (they are extremely careful, they adapt the dishes as much as they can, they have suitable bread and desserts...). Although this place cooks very delicious, I must accept that for Mexican food it still lacks a bit of Mexican flavor and seasoning, the carnitas tacos did not look like carnitas tacos, they were missing their thin horn and flavor. Unfortunately, it does not have gluten-free desserts, which detracts from Mexican gastronomy, which can perfectly provide a dessert for people with celiac disease and that is why I give them 3 stars.

Yesterday we went to dinner at Mamaflora Gastrobar. The food was incredible, an important fact is that except for the toasts, all the dishes are gluten-free. We ordered scallops, croquettes and Iberian pluma, and I can't decide which we liked more, it was all delicious. The place is inn-type, the decoration is beautiful. I also want to highlight the attention of the staff, especially our waitress (Irene, if I'm not mistaken), thank you very much for your kindness and professionalism, everyone in the group commented on it. We will return for sure!
