We've been coming here a few years now. My son can't have gluten or dairy, and they have a great menu for dietary restrictions. Every waiter/waitress has always been knowledgeable and made us feel we could safely order. I knew I could come here on my new diet. Food always tastes great!

Positives: The food was delicious - especially, the guacamole. All of the drinks were excellent and they offer an extensive tequila catalog. The service was top notch. There were several vegetarian/vegan and gluten free options. Negatives: All of the dishes were supposed to be shared and served one at a time, but the portions were tiny. Another unfortunate issue was the pricing. Everything was way overpriced for what you were served. Overall, I would typically give a place like 2 or 3 stars but because the flavors of all of the dishes were so delicious, I am giving a 4 star rating.

Quite possibly our favorite restaurant in the world 🤩 As a plant-based chef who is always looking for amazing, flavorful vegan, gluten-free menu items, I'm so happy Tacowala is so close! To find a restaurant who's menu has so many options, all more flavorful than the next, is truly a blessing.

Gluten-free optionsSuggested by the GF community
I would confidently say that this is the best Mexican food in the area, regardless of it being a vegan restaurant. The owners are dedicated to maintaining the authenticity of their food, which is always homemade and offers plenty of gluten-free options. Due to the small kitchen, it is recommended to place your order well in advance (at least 45 minutes to an hour). Additionally, they frequently have exciting specials, so make sure to follow their Instagram page for updates!

A lively spot with a fun vibe, known for its housemade hot sauces and outdoor seating, but watch out for the watery drinks.

BEWARE IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES!!!! Cornbread was labeled vegan and there was regular milk in it and regular butter on top. The service was not attentive to allergies and does not understand the ramifications of mislabeling a meal as vegan/gluten free. Please be careful if you eat here and have allergies! Do not recommend.

Lobster roll was good. They have a gluten free bun. Tacos were really bad. Shells were cold and they just didn't have any flavor. oysters were inedible.
