I went today for the first time and the truth is that I was delighted. The girl who helped me is super friendly. I have taken a loaf of bread, a pink panther, a ham and cheese empanadilla, some anise bagels and a chocolate croissant. I would have taken more things but I went when they were about to close and luckily I was able to get something!! The bread is the best I have ever eaten without gluten and the rest certainly does not disappoint. We will return for sure and I highly recommend it!
The waiter was very friendly and attentive, giving us excellent advice.
They have a wide variety of vegan and gluten-free options.
Everything was delicious and quite affordable.
We went for dinner and tried the Pizzeta, which was very good, and the Crispy Chicken. The dishes are very well-designed. We loved the vegan and gluten-free options; they adapt many dishes to suit your needs. The service was very attentive, and the location is very pretty. They have several tasting menus, which we didn't try, so we'll have to go back. Highly recommended.
It exceeded my expectations. I went with some friends, and they served us delicious appetizers (mini gazpacho and falafel). We ordered nachos for a starter, followed by seitan, Russian steaks, moussaka, and risotto for main courses. Everything was delicious. The menu is extensive and has many options. They also offer gluten-free dishes. We didn't get to try the desserts, but I'll be back for them. The waitress was very attentive.
WOW! Incredible! From the moment you walk in, the smell of freshly baked pastries to the customer service. The girls are lovely, and the product is sensational. I had never tried something gluten-free, sugar-free, and lactose-free that was so delicious. For me, it’s a must-stop every time I'm in Madrid.
Honest Greens restaurants are all very good, in my opinion. Quality food is varied and original, with multiple options (vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, keto) for all tastes. The desserts are amazing and delicious. The only thing I would change is that the prices for flavored water are clearly exorbitant. Having to wait in line to order and then pay that price for a drink isn't something I fully understand, but it's more than worth it given how delicious the food is.
An excellent place to share and have a good time. A wide variety of vegan and gluten-free options, all delicious! And of course, a Mahou coffee is a must! Highly recommended!
Delicious vegan food, good atmosphere, a beautiful place with images with a lot of social commitment. We only tried the stew but it was delicious. Gluten-free beer with supplement in the price. Good detail in the bathroom for the girls saves slips, tampons, etc., you never know
Very delicious vegan burgers and also many gluten free options. Good prices and fast service. Would definitely go back there and I regret they don't have one in my location.
Very good service and a very interesting, lovingly made product. They're very careful with allergens, so they have many vegan, gluten-free, and soy-free options... I recommend it!
I loved the restaurant and every detail that makes it unique. As a starter, we tried potatoes with pumpkin seasoned with parsley, garlic, and lemon on top, similar to "anchovies." It was delicious. Then we ordered the tortilla pincho, which was delicious—the best vegan potato omelet I've ever eaten. For the main course, the four-cheese pizza with gluten-free dough was delicious, with a fresh tomato base that was unique. The cheese combination was a showcase of flavors. The place is very welcoming, and Jaime's service is exceptional; he does his work with passion, and it shows. Thank you for that. Congratulations.
My husband and I are from Australia and found Viva Chapata in Lavapies at the end of our stay in Madrid. The staff were fantastic, the atmosphere was relaxed, they had gluten free alternatives clearly marked on their menu, and the coffee was the best we had in Europe. We had planned to return early the next morning but needed to catch our flight, so hope the staff see this review - we’re sorry we didn’t make it back! We recommend highly to anyone. Thank you Viva Chapata!!
This review is about gluten-free food. The restaurant is fine for those who don't have celiac disease. The food is delicious and the service is good. However, they offer gluten-free pizza, and it turns out they make it in the same oven as the gluten-containing pizzas. So they don't have gluten-free pizza. They have contaminated pizza.
I would love to have a place where I can eat gluten-free and safely. They also offer gluten-free pasta, but now I'm not sure there won't be cross-contamination in the preparation of the pasta dishes.
Shame.
I've returned after many years and the food is just as I remembered, with lots of gluten-free options and detailed allergen information. We will return without hesitation, being one of our gluten-free reference places in Rivas.
The best vegan food I've ever had!
Healthy, vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free food restaurant. The dishes that I liked the most were the sushi, the shallots and the artichoke tiradito. For dessert, I recommend the black forest, chocolate with evoo and salt, blackberries and chocolate textures. bruuutal!
I'll be back!
Good food, with gluten-free options.
The vegan Reina toast is very good! Great tip.
We also had the brunch bowl, which was well-served and very tasty!
We had to wait in line, but it was just over 10 minutes.
I highly recommend it!
"A vegetarian oasis with joy, flavor, and lots of good vibes in Tirso de Molina"
I was looking for a quiet place in the Tirso de Molina neighborhood where I could enjoy delicious, homemade, vegetarian, gluten- and lactose-free food, and I found La Alegría de la Huerta… the name seemed perfect because it connects with my daily motto: "For a day of joy."
From the moment I walked in, I felt at home. The service was excellent: they explained in detail which dishes met my dietary restrictions and made me feel cared for. The atmosphere is cozy, relaxed, and full of good energy, with soft music that accompanies without intruding.
I tried delicious food, prepared with care, in a peaceful setting that invites you to linger. And if you can't stay long, they also offer delivery service.
A place full of soul, perfect for those of us who value conscious food, friendly service, and a serene setting in the heart of Madrid. Definitely a place to come back and recommend!
In the center of Madrid, near the Caixa Forum and the Prado Museum, I found El Fogón Verde.
A small, simple restaurant, with a certain charm... friendly service, to eat with family, friends...
On their website, they define themselves as "100% agroecological, vegetarian and cooperative."
I admit, I was only familiar with the word "vegetarian" in the context of a restaurant, so a quick read of their website revealed to me that there is more to this restaurant than just "serving food" and using the word -organic- as a hook.
They talk about "We cook exclusively seasonal and local foods, also produced without pesticides and from local projects."
They boast "of knowing who has grown each of the ingredients in the dishes" they cook.
Anyway, for those who read this review, I invite you to read your website in advance, "on low heat", as I will do on the way home.
But... and what I ate? Well...
First, the stew soup (without noodles, I shouldn't eat gluten), with several homemade flavors.
For the second, I followed the suggestion of a friend of a friend, who was at the next table, Pumpkin and Leek Pie with tomato sauce, with a soft texture (I would even say creamy) and the sauce, with a real tomato flavor 🍅.
For dessert, Banana and Peanut Ice Cream, again, creamy, with pieces of banana (pleasant surprise).
The attention, kind, attentive, María explained some of the preparations to me.
I waited a few minutes, although El Fogón Verde was almost full at 2:50 pm when I arrived.
I give 5 stars and I will return.
Without a doubt, one hundred percent recommendable. Several gluten-free vegan options, a luxury for me. I was recommended by Beatriz from Igualdad Animal.
Beautiful project with a human warmth that invites you to stay for a while longer.
The place is small, but it has a beautiful terrace with views of the valley and the sidewalk, I understand that you can also have a charming view.
The food is vegan and there are gluten-free options, but the best thing is that it's seasonal and local, which we loved.
We saw that it is a space, in addition to being a cafeteria, open to cultural events where there are plenty of books and works to see.
A stop to enjoy!
We ate a burrito and a warra burger without gluten (although with traces) + 2 summer red wines for €25. The amount was satiating, they treated us very kindly and so it was a pleasant experience in general.
We went for lunch and were delighted! The food was delicious, and they have many gluten-free options. We ordered the La Huella burger, the Pancho Villa burger, and the chilaquiles to share—all highly recommended. The service was also unbeatable. We will definitely return.
An incredible discovery. The place is not very big and although it is usually full, you have always made room for us.
The food is of good quality and the dishes are assorted. The prices, appropriate to the quality of the products. They have most of the menu for celiacs.
The best, the treatment and care of the staff. Always attentive. We have returned and we will continue to return.
