Brooklyn and Brandon took care of us for dinner one evening and they exceeded all customer service expectations! The atmosphere was inviting, warm, and always positive. Both Brandon and Brooklyn anticipated our needs of what we wanted without having to ask! Could not recommend the food or service anymore. The octopus, caprese, and penne alla vodka was superb. Would definitely come back and recommend :) The wine was also excellent and dietary restrictions were friendly as I am gluten intolerant!

Absolutely delicious. Great gluten free options. If only they had a dedicated fryer for their chips. You’ll understand why this little gem of a place has a Michelin sign out front!

Great food and vibes, and the location is superb, of course. My only feedback is that I’d love to see more cider and gluten-free options on the menu. While it's nice that most pastas can be substituted with gluten-free penne, it would be even better to have another gluten-free pasta option that isn’t penne. Gluten-free farfalle, for example, would be a fantastic addition to your menu.

We went to SARA to celebrate a friend’s birthday. The enviroment and vibe is super cute ( it looks like a cave inside). The service was also amazing. We all opted for the tasting menu ( 89$) and it was a magical experience. One of our friends is pescatarian and another one is Gluten sensitive. It was impressive to see each dish for those two was made with their dietary restrictions in mind, while we got to enjoy all the dishes. We got Theo and Espresso Martinis for drinks and they were really good too. The tasting menu started with the cheese bread . Then we had IKURA LATKES and Tuna tartare. The next items were hamachi sashimi and the chopped salad. The salad was phenomenal. I think we all agreed that the salad was in fact the best salad we ever had. We next tried the Reuben sandwich and green beans. I really liked how crispy the bread was on the Reuben sandwich. We then tried the eggplant which was also really good and the scallop tempura. The NY striploin and the sea bass were brought together with Brussels sprouts. The steak was out of this world delicious!!! If I were to return to this restaurant for only one dish it will likely be the steak. The sea bass was delicious too. Everything we tried was perfectly seasoned and so delicious. The dessert was also really tasty. Overall a great experience. I will definitely visit again. Their sister restaurant RASA is also equally good and you should check it out if you haven’t already :)

I’ve reached out twice in the past month and have gotten no response regarding my family’s awful experience at our 5pm reservation on May 10th.
The beginning of our time here started out okay. The server, who told us she was brand new, took our drink orders and asked about any allergies we should be aware of. The drinks came back, and we placed our orders. After over an hour-long wait for food for an 8-person table, we finally received our food. However, two dishes were incorrect, starting with my brother’s dish. He had ordered the Cajun Blackened Chicken from the menu’s Mains section for $34.50, as he had ordered it three weeks ago and loved it. What he received instead was a chicken sandwich with a side of potatoes, which is ironic since the Cajun Blackened Chicken he ordered was gluten-free. My brother brought this up with the server, who proceeded to argue with him, claiming that he was wrong and that this item came only as a sandwich and not what was described in the menu. The server even brought the menu back to confirm that what he received was the Cajun Blackened Chicken; however, at this point, my brother asked where on the menu it stated it was a sandwich, burger, or handheld. The server replied, “It just is.” In response, we pointed out that if it were a sandwich or handheld, it would be located under the sandwich/handheld section of the menu; instead, it was under the mains section, where there was no indication or suggestion that it was a sandwich or came with any bread option. The server continued to insist that it was a sandwich and left my brother with a meal he didn’t order. After checking the menu several times, there was no Cajun Blackened Chicken Sandwich anywhere on it. However, there was a Cajun Blackened Chicken dish under the Mains section of the menu, which states it comes with confit garlic butter, warm potato salad, bacon, coleslaw, and kale oil (nowhere does it state a bun, handheld, or any bread item). The second incorrect dish was the Vegan Hunan Kung Pao dish, which came with peanuts. My sister-in-law ordered it without peanuts (preference). Unfortunately, it arrived with peanuts—thank goodness she wasn’t allergic and could pick them off. Both my brother and sister-in-law chose to eat their meals despite them being incorrect, as we had already waited over an hour for our food and weren’t prepared to wait another hour.
Following this already awful service experience, the server at no point checked in on us to ask if anyone's meal was okay or if anyone would like another drink. My mother ordered garlic toast which did not come until she reminded the server about 15 minutes into the meal, and even then, she waited an additional 20 minutes for the garlic toast which we were still charged for despite it arriving 20 minutes after my mother had finished her meal. As someone in the entertainment industry, I understand that new servers are still learning, and I am often sympathetic to this as mistakes happen - we are all human. However, arguing with a customer twice and insisting they are wrong, despite the menu supporting the customer’s point, is unacceptable.
After reviewing the bill, the server charged us for a Cajun Blackened Chicken Sandwich (not sure how, as this isn’t a menu item anywhere at this location) for $23 and actually ADDED $4.00 for the potatoes my brother received, even though the item he requested came with potatoes (stated on the menu). It looked as if the server had made a mistake and attempted to cover it by charging us additional items to match the price match the $34.50 for the Cajun Blackened Chicken. We understand that mistakes happen; however, if she rang it in incorrectly or made an error, as I advise my own servers, acknowledge your mistake to the guest; don’t argue or gaslight them into believing they are wrong.
My husband and I recently moved into the area and were hoping this place would become a staple in our weekends, as the food tasted great. However, due to the poor service we received after paying almost $400, we will think twice before returning.
Spanning four floors with a rooftop patio offering an open, green ambiance, this venue blends a vibrant, trendy atmosphere with cozy luxury. The upbeat Latin music and natural lighting create a fun, inviting setting ideal for those seeking a lively gluten-free dining experience.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Baro a couple of years ago, so we were really looking forward to going back last night — this time post my fiancé’s celiac diagnosis. Unfortunately, this visit was a huge disappointment.
For starters, there is no legend or indication on the menu of which dishes are gluten-free. Thankfully, our server was excellent and took the time to walk us through the options. However, there were extremely limited choices — only one large plate option (also the most expensive dish), steaks starting at $95, and just four small plate options that could be made gluten-free.
We decided to order three small plates to share — which turned out to be shockingly small portions. It would’ve taken double or triple what we ordered just to feel remotely full. When we asked if one of the other large plates could simply be made gluten-free by removing the sauce, we were told the chef “really didn’t recommend it” because it would alter the flavour, and there were no alternative sauces (which made little sense since other sauces clearly exist for other dishes).
In total, for 3 tiny small plates (essentially appetizers), chips with guac & salsa, tuna ceviche, beef tartare, 1 cocktail, and 1 glass of sparkling wine, our bill was $115 before tip — and we left still very hungry.
We were so disappointed — especially with how unwilling the kitchen was to accommodate a very common dietary restriction like celiac. The experience was the opposite of our first visit, and sadly we will absolutely not be returning and would not recommend Baro to anyone with dietary needs or restrictions.

Food at Oretta is alright but I like the restaurant for its ambience. It’s gluten friendly which is important for me since I’m allergic. They have gluten free pizzas but beware, they can be quite hard once they become slightly cold. Glad they have the option but in a city which is quite allergy friendly, I think Oretta can up its game with the gluten free options.

Gluten free!!!! This was awesome! First time having dumplings that were gluten free! The food was good and it was a great portion! We haven't been disappointed with the food since visiting Toronto and this was top of the list! Great good! Celiac safe!
It was out of chicken but the beef was good!
A must-visit for a fantastic dining experience with a cozy atmosphere and plenty of delicious options to choose from!

If I could give 10 stars I would. Our server Krista was amazing. I have celiac disease - a severe gluten allergy, and she knew exactly what to recommend on the menu. I split the steak frites and rigatoni alla vodka with my friend. Both were incredible. The fries have a designated frier making them fully gluten free and they also have gluten free noodles. Everything was very fairly priced for the quality you’re receiving.
My group was also celebrating a birthday and they went above and beyond taking care of us, bringing him an amazing pavlova dessert - gluten free as well!
The ambiance and decor of the restaurant is absolutely stunning. They have a 5-7 happy hour as well and everyone at my table loved their cocktails!
Overall, I will definitely be returning and I would highly recommend to anyone (especially people with celiac)!!
