I was so happy to find a fully vegan bakery in Ottawa, I never would've guessed that it was gluten free :) and kosher and nut free. I stopped here for brunch and got a cinnamon roll, a banana chocolate muffin and a berry iced tea slushie. All DELICIOUS!

We had a fantastic dinner experience at ZOLAS last night with our family of four, including one gluten-free diner. The menu offered plenty of options, and our server was super attentive and provided great recommendations. The food arrived quickly and was piping hot and delicious! We took advantage of the $75 Wednesday night deal, where you get an appetizer to share, individual mains, and a dessert to share for every two people. What a great value! The food was absolutely delicious, and we highly recommend ZOLAS to anyone looking for a great dining experience. Can't wait to go back!

I don’t normally review , but WOW. I have had a gluten intolerance for a few years now and have recently been taking it very seriously. As you can imagine it’s been hard to find things to substitute things with gluten that doesn't taste like cardboard. If your gluten free THIS IS YOUR PLACE. I had a ham panini , cupcake and brownie all gluten free. I was so delighted how fresh and yummy the bread tasted , the cupcake was just right amount of sweet with a light tasting icing. Oh gosh, perfection. I haven’t tried the brownie yet but I’m confident it’s delicious. Too bad we live an hour away, but I will 100% be returning here soon, worth the trip. Thank you 3 Sisters!

It's a small place and very popular. I took my sister here who has a gluten allergy and she had grilled cheese with lentil bread (pictured and almost finished). She loved it and they do not skimp out on the cheese. I had the Oaxaca sandwich which was very good and the spiciness was just right, paired with a Thai carrot soup. Coffee was good and served in a big glass mug. We had a window view which was a bit cramped but felt alright. You see so many people come in of all ages and backgrounds. Servers were friendly, left us mostly alone and revisited when needed. Atmosphere is very local and rustic.

Service was excellent, atmosphere is lovely, cocktails delicious (need to go back to sample them all!), my main was delicious and beautifully plated, the desserts (I had one and sampled two others in my group) were very good but not amazing, but then I’m not celiac so I may have noticed differences in taste and texture compared to gluten-containing equivalents. Overall, I would definitely go back for drinks, apps and dinner, but I might pass on dessert or go down the street for a gelato to spread the local business support around. VIV is a great option for anyone who can’t have gluten but also a delicious and fun option for anyone who likes a nice cocktail and delicious, thoughtfully prepared food. Nice wine list too.

My friend and I had such a great time catching up this past Sunday night! We enjoyed two celiac-friendly burgers and our server was so gracious, attentive, professional, and hospitable. She allowed us to sit at a table to see with a clear view of my bike that was chained up outside (I wanted to keep an eye on it!). Overall, a courteous experience that allowed us to make quality memories and the food was great and allergy safe! We will be back!

We had a great experience dining at Joey Rideau! Our food was delicious. Highly recommend the steak frites (this dish is also celiac safe, if you cannot have gluten). Our server Daphne was very kind and made sure that we enjoyed everything! We were celebrating our anniversary and it was lovely.

Chop, give yourselves a pat on the back. You nailed our dining experience last night. Where do I begin? My partner has celiac disease. She has a severe allergy to gluten and wheat. Consuming even the smallest bit of it can send her to hospital. When we advised our server, Sarah M of this, she assured us that they would take every precaution to ensure my partner's health and safety. We didn't know what we were in store for though. Rewind. We went to Chop during their Happy Hour where they have discounted drinks and food. We were seat ed about 5 minutes before Happy Hour ends. When we told Sarah we wanted some Happy Hour drinks, she offered to load in multiple drink order before the cutoff time and then she would just fill the orders and bring them when we needed our next drink. We ordered 2 glass of wine each. Sarah brought the first round promptly. We also ordered the chili garlic shrimp appetizer from the Happy Hour menu. This dish comes with a piece of bread and we asked to omit the bread to keep the dish gluten-safe. We also put in our entrée orders at that time. Another server, who we later learned was named Hannah (or Hanna) brought our appetizer and was very specific to tell us that it was gluten-free. Much to our surprise, they added a gluten-free bun to the dish to replace the ciabatta bread that the dish usually comes with. Fast forward. Entrées arrive. They were great. Again, Hanna(h) delivered them and noted that the kitchen was very particular about knowing of my partner's gluten allergy. On one of our usual server, Sarah's, returns to our table, we learned that Sarah was not even allowed to bring our food orders to our table because she was handling other people's food. They designated Hanna(h) to deliver our food in order to ensure my partner didn't accidentally come into contact with gluten. WE HAVE NEVER SEEN A RESTAURANT DO THIS! We were very very impressed. So much so, that we felt compelled to chat with a manager after we paid our bill to express how phenomenal of an experience we had. We will return to Chop. Next time, we'll arrive earlier to take more advantage of the Happy Hour discounts. We can only hope that we have Sarah and Hanna(h) serve us again.

I had the pleasure of eating here on Friday the 14th. The wait was more than reasonable we were told it would be about 45 min, we left our name and returned 35min later as requested and waited less than 10 min to be seated. The service was impeccable we had fresh and delicious coffee on the table within 3 min of sitting down. I ordered the special of Chicken and waffles Eggs benedict with the Jerk Plantains as my side. The flavour's presented were truly fantastic. I truly look forward to dining here again. Gluten free options were available and also extremely tasty according to the Celiac I dined with.

So at first you might be surprised if the reviews really are true to the place, on arrival you would enter and first it would be a tick box ✅ for atmosphere Then tick ✅ for the service, really kind and helpful staff. The food we ordered the Breakfast scone Back & Cheddar at 8.50 + tax for 11.30$ Bonus: Has Low-gluten options and opens at 6:30am YES - perfect for morning people. A short walk from anywhere this place is worth a visit for a snack breakfast or just coffee.

First and foremost, if you want to eat the best crepes in the world, this is where you have to go. I'm visiting here, but when I come back, this is definitely where I'll be having lunch. Geneviève, our waitress, who was bilingual, to our great delight, gave us exceptional service, with lots of explanations for our friend who has celiac disease. We had a terrible experience at Del Piacete over the italian week weekend. Our waitress was unprofessional, yawning while taking our order and never checking on us. Despite arriving before other customers, we waited 50 minutes for our food while watching others get served first. Both of our pizzas had a couple mussels that smelled and tasted absolutely rotten. Beyond this serious food safety issue, my gluten-free pizza was also completely undercooked. When I complained, the waitress said reheating it might burn it so she gave me the option of either burned or undercooked. The chef explained they use new rice-based GF dough that “doesn’t cook well” - even after returning it to the oven, it remained inedible. To their credit, they removed the undercooked pizza from our bill when I asked not to pay for it. However, the restaurant feels dated with sticky tables, and the high prices don’t match the poor service and atmosphere. This was my second visit and will definitely be my last.

What a gem! As someone who eats gluten-free and dairy (due to illness( it’s rare to find a place that delivers on both! and this restaurant exceeded all expectations. The curry was absolutely amazing: rich, flavorful, and deeply satisfying. You can tell everything is made with care and fresh ingredients. We were driving through Manotick and decided to stop here. Super cute little place, bought a few baked goods but our favourite was the crack cookie and the fresh cinnamon rolls. The cinnamon rolls were soft without feeling too chewy like undercooked and not dry at all. Will definitely be back! They have lots of goodies and gluten free dessert options too.

Made reservations to eat here with a group of 5 friends, and I’m So glad I did as it was packed ! It was our first time here and we all really enjoyed our meals. The only downfall was once we placed our order, it took almost 45 minutes to get our meals so it felt long for sure lol I have a gluten and dairy allergy and they handled my meals great. I got the steak and eggs, the home fries are GF (minus cross contamination from the fryer) and they have GF toast (not pictured). My friends got eggs Benny, the French toast and the club sandwich, and everyone really liked their meals and had no complaints. Would definitely visit here again - even with the wait time of the busy restaurant !
