My husband and I brought a couple of out of town friends here Wednesday night, as we've always enjoyed the food before. There were SOME problems that night - mistakes with the orders, etc - but I can't praise Agatha enough! She was extremely friendly, apologetic for any issues, very attentive to me (celiac) and made the whole experience an absolute pleasure. The food was delicious, as always. I highly recommend visiting!

Food was… overall very salty. Not sure if this is how it is suppose to be but from antipasti to pastas, they were all honestly quite salty. Ingredients may be fresh which we would like to appreciate but they are just too salty to be enjoyed. On the other hand, the service was great with solid gluten free options.

Our poutine came out just warm, but was tasty. The onion rings were really good. Cool vibe in there. Fantastic gluten free and vegan options. Totally vegetarian restaurant.

BEST gluten free bread I’ve ever had! It was a soft, fluffy focaccia and as a celiac, I actually had to double check with the server that it was GF. We stopped here for happy hour before meeting friends for dinner and I am so glad we did! The staff accommodated our large group on the patio with ease, drinks were great and the food was amazing! We will definitely be back!

Nice food - kind of a more fancy place but really worth a visit. They have a separate fryer for gf fries and servers are aware of contamination, although the risk is still there. Really nice gf molten lava cake for dessert

Server was wonderful - very knowledgeable about the menu and the wines. I got a gluten free pizza that was pretty terrible, probably the worst one I've gotten in a restaurant actually- the crust was thin and chewy, not in a good way; it was like a frozen pizza. The ceaser salad had polenta croutons that were good but there was only like 4 of them total. I felt safe as a celiac and there was lots of GF stuff on the menu to try, but definitely avoid the pizza. (If you want good GF pizza in the area go across the street to Per Se, it's the best I've ever had!) I would come back to try the other options though.

Phenomenal pizza, very friendly service, gf has celiac allergy, restaurant takes proper care in minimizing cross contamination, the gluten-free crust was delicous, highly recommend. However, they are very busy. When booking a reservation, it is at least a week beforehand if you are trying to go on Friday/Saturday.

Hubby and I (from Australia) began our Canadian holiday with a New Year's dinner at Cardero's. Although jet lagged as we had arrived that morning, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. It was made extra special by our friendly and professional server, Katy. The food was incredible. We had the prawn cocktail and BBQ ribs as appetisers, and both were divine. We then had the signature salmon and beef tenderloin for mains and finished with the most silky and creamy peanut butter cheesecake. It was also decorated with happy anniversary for our 10th wedding anni. Katy helped me with matching wines, and this was much appreciated. We tried ice wine for the first time, and we're addicted. Menu is incredibly gluten friendly. What a delectable dinner to start our Canadian food adventures!

Overall, a wonderful restaurant! The food is delicious, and so many gluten free options. Most options are dairy free, too. I appreciated this so much I came back 3 times in a week! Be sure to order toum (Lebanese garlic sauce) with your food. It is the best!!!! Only reason I’m docking a star is service related. I ordered for pickup to eat in my hotel room, and two out of three times they failed to include the cutlery, despite me both checking the box for cutlery, and also putting in the comments. Staying in a hotel, you don’t have access to cutlery, so please be sure to pay attention to customers who request it and provide it for them!! Didn’t eat in the restaurant, but it is beautiful inside :)

Really enjoyed this place. Manager was lovely. Very accommodating to gf options but have your wits about you as I see other people have had reactions from here. Does indeed have a separate gf fryer and happy to accommodate different sauce in burger as ‘Special Sauce’ has Worcestershire sauce in it (ie not gf) Thought paying $4 extra for gf bun was a bit steep but overall good place, lovely server and great vibes (especially music)

Had the BLT bagel it was stacked with bacon and great value, DELICIOUS! Loved the mayo/sauces and guac it had on it! Espresso drinks have minimal sweetness which is nice. Quite impressed with the food and drink I enjoyed here today. Also loved the gluten free options. The service was wonderful. Looking forward to summer mornings on the patio with my dogs. Will definitely be back again and again!

Have been missing Red Robins since they closed all their Alberta locations! If you have any food restrictions, don't look at their allergen menu online, just ask your server. I have celiac and it was showing almost everything to have gluten, even the beef burger patties. Luckily that was not the actual case! Server was knowledgeable about what sauces and ingredients had gluten, and shared that fries can be made in a dedicated gluten free fryer. My meal also came out with the purple allergen stick. I do however have to take stars off for the physical aspects of the location...menu had several sticky spots, carpet looked filthy and sticky, bathroom floors were even stickier! Very unappealing and makes you wonder about the cleanliness of the kitchen. We were in a booth and the back of the seat would move from both sides, uncomfortable when people are sitting on both sides and it kept moving! Service was also quite slow, especially considering it was lunchtime on a weekday and there were not many other customers present

Our turbulent first night in Vancouver with hotel issues was saved by the Cactus Club Cafe. We missed our booking due to the issues, but we were helped by great staff who told us we could sit at the bar to eat. The bartenders were amazing, the drinks excellent and the food was amazing with great options for vegan and gluten free. Highly recommended.

This place is a must visit. Amazing customer service, delicious food with gluten free and vegan options. They have something for everyone. We tried the french toast, tapioca wrap and pancakes. The drinks were amazing too.

Found this fabulous social enterprise cafe by chance on our trip to Vancouver from the UK. The food is really tasty, they cater for gluten free we were welcomed with a smile what could be better? I loved their detox smoothly, hopefully I can replicate it when we get home.

Great spot for breakfast. Portions are massive! The food was good and Susan’s service was excellent! One thing to note is there are no gluten free hashbrowns or potatoes. Sad times for me.

First time here was a great experience. Nice atmosphere and window views, wonderful service from Kurtis, menu has a great selection of food, the burgers are really good, as well as the prawn laksa curry and chipotle mango chicken, some nice gluten free options! I hope one day they can have a gluten conscious option for the Chicken Madeira Rigatoni because it’s the best pasta of all time. They also have happy hour on a Friday night! Can’t wait to come back!

Food was very good. Every dish was interesting. Many Gluten free and dairy free options which is a requirement for my family. Once the order was in, our waiter was hard to find. Unfortunately the kitchen screwed up the timing on the veggies which only arrived after we had consumed the main course. In mitigation, the manager apologized profusely (twice) and the items were removed from the bill.

We order from cactus at LEAST once a week - but typically order from a different location. The hot pickles were fatty, cold, and they did not include dip. They were poorly dressed. The zen roll seemed to have had the taro on top swapped out for wontons (which I can’t eat because I’m gluten free). Both went into the garbage. We called, but after 10 minutes on hold no one answered. Surprising for a quiet Sunday night. Absolutely will not return or order again from this location. Poor service. Go to a different location!

First time here in years! I remember coming for their grand opening and back when they introduced their Hawaiian plates! Had a decent poke bowl (I built my own mini guy). I will say their portions were less than what I remembered from my first impressions. My bowl came to $14.18 including tax, which had a base, a sauce, 1 protein option (you pay by the scoop and my salmon was $3), 3 sides, and 1 crunch. It's drastically different compared to say, Steve's Poke Bar, where you can choose unlimited sides for a similar price. I always find it odd when a poke shop limits customers' number of "crunches" as the cost must be so minor to produce - items like furikake, fried onions, fried garlic, sesame seeds, etc. It would go a long way to allow people to have more than one as a topper. The sesame mayo sauce was great and I was told it didn't have dairy (milk/eggs) in it. I had the shoyu Atlantic salmon, with corn, edamame, and imitation crab. On the plus side, the staff were kind and patient as I ordered. I was asking about items with gluten/dairy due to a sensitivity, and they seemed to know their menu. They get quite a few online orders through delivery apps, as most people during a weekday lunch hour took their food to-go.
