This restaurant does NOT have a “Gluten Free Kitchen”. I tried the menu del dia. One of the starters was pasta salad which I was told that had gluten in it when I asked about it. This surprised me because it said gluten-free kitchen in the entrance. Even though it was weird I went for an other option and it was fine. When it was time for dessert I was told none of the desserts were gluten free and they could give me a fruit salad. They then brought me a soggy fruit salad with bits of unpeeled pineapple. They do NOT have a gluten free kitchen. And the staff does not now about gluten intolerance / celiac.

It becomes complicated having a lot of intolerances to be able to eat sweets that I don't prepare at home. The muffins and cookies they have are spectacular, very successful flavors. Not all of the menu is gluten-free but it has a lot of variety. Of course, if you are celiac and also have a nut allergy, keep in mind that many sweets are made with almond flour. Honestly, in the heart of Madrid, it seems like an ideal cafeteria. They also gave us some cookies before we left (it was a nice detail). I recommend the banana peanut muffin and I will return! Of course, the air conditioning was too high and I had to wear my jacket all the time. But this cafeteria is a success. The staff is 10 and so are the products they offer. The price is not bad considering that it is in the Tribunal area.

My favorite cafeteria in Madrid. The food is always delicious and the dishes are original and tasty. The coffee is one of the best I've had in the city. They almost always have space despite being a small place. I recommend going early in the morning if you don't want to wait (10-15 min). They have gluten-free bread and many sweets available. Many dishes can be adapted for celiacs and others are directly gluten-free, such as pancakes with bacon, blueberry jam and mascarpone (highly recommended!).

Always liked the place but the staff really went out of their way to make it a great party! After many years eating at this restaurant from its gluten-free menu, they now tell me that in reality "gluten-free" is not suitable for celiacs, because they bring it from central kitchens and it may contain traces. Is this just now or has it always been like this? Because before they didn't report such a thing. Besides, I say... If it comes from central kitchens, wouldn't it be much easier to control cross contamination and offer truly gluten-free products? It's really a shame that this is another restaurant that has targeted "gluten-free" for fashion and not to help people who really have to follow this diet due to an illness.

BEWARE OF CELIACS!!! There are quite a few dishes on the menu that can be made gluten-free, but then you get an extra five euros for having the gluten-free cachopo. It is true that after complaining and indicating that it is ILLEGAL to charge a price that is not announced in the letter, they have taken them away from us, but not before pointing out that it is because of the oil since they have to use clean oil. My question is, do they reuse a lot of the oil from the rest of the cachopos? If so, can't you reuse the oil for another gluten-free cachopo? In fact, we ordered two cachopos and they charged us ten euros extra, five for each cachopo. As if that were not enough, they have a menu published on the website in which they indicate that the jerky cachopo without €28, the restaurant's menu says €30 and if you ask for gluten-free they want to charge you €35 without telling us anywhere. I have to say that the food was very good and the waiter who served us was very attentive. The poor rating comes from the illegality of charging a surcharge not announced in the letter, nor indicated when placing the order.

The service from Manuel was even better, a true gentleman who guided us expertly and elevated our experience to levels beyond expectation. Terrible experience. I arrived and they charged me twice for my coffee (until I reported it, they didn't say anything). A coffee + avocado toast was €16. A completely outrageous price. After charging me twice for my coffee, I asked for a gluten-free avocado toast (€12). I'm celiac, and they brought me the toast with regular bread. I told them I wasn't happy, and the owner of the establishment took the coffee out of my hand, took the toast away, and kicked me out (literally, to the astonished looks of the other customers). I asked for a complaint form, as usual, and they denied it (this is completely illegal), telling me, "Call the police, and when the police come, I'll give it to you." I've never experienced such a horrible situation. I had a meeting and had to run, but of course, I'll go back to the police and do the appropriate thing. A real disgrace.
