TL;DR - Substantial drop in food quality and service. I can't imagine myself visiting this location again, and you shouldn't imagine yourself going here either. Pizza Luce has always been a place I could rely on for great food and service, but my most recent visit was incredibly disappointing. During my visit I got a Breggfast pizza to eat there, and Gluten Free Bruscetta to go; both were entirely disappointing. Pizza - I got the Breggfast pizza with their Buffa-Luce sauce... well, at least that's what I ordered. What I got was a pizza crust with some ingredients on it, but no sauce. When I mentioned it to the waiter, he told me it was there. I restated that in fact, no, it was not, and showed him the pizza, and he informed me that I was incorrect and it was there, and then just walked away without another word. So apparently as far as this waiter was concerned, I'm blind and have no taste buds. Gluten Free Bruscetta - Oh, I'm sorry, did I say Bruscetta, I meant the cheapest, most terrible gluten free hamburger buns you can find. Pizza Luce's GF Bruscetta used to be, hands down, the best around. I believe they got the bread from a local bakery and perhaps they aren't around any longer, but if you can't find a good alternative, then just don't have any. If I had to guess, they just use Schar hamburger buns, though that feels like an insult to Shar. These were terrible; they tasted like cardboard and were soggy. Pizza Luce was always a safe bet when I was in the area, for both Pizza and gluten free items, but this visit was a joke, and an expensive one at that.

We visited during our vacation and had an incredible experience. Our server, Ellie, was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and ensured that my daughter, who has Celiac, had all the items clearly marked as gluten-free. They use separate fryers and cooktops, and even offer gluten-free buns and wings! The food was so delicious that we decided to come back the very next day!

Chimborazo continues to be one of my favorite go to restaurants in the cities! Their food is delicious, with unique flavors and just phenomenal Ecuadorian cuisine. I dream about the mahi mahi encocado and ceviche 🤤 I especially appreciate that they have so many options for someone who is gluten free and lots of good pescatarian options too! Their service is always fast and they’re always incredibly kind! Highly recommend.

The menu is rooted in Southern and Caribbean-inspired flavors, and everything is made with care. My personal go-to is the pulled chicken, which is juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. Pair it with the creamed jalapeño spinach - a side dish so unexpectedly addictive that I now find myself ordering it every time, no matter what else I get. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, with a laid-back counter-service setup that somehow still manages to feel intentional and warm. It’s the kind of place where regulars bring newcomers, knowing the food will speak for itself. Other favorites include the slow-roasted pork, collard greens, and desserts. They are all flavorful, filling, and made to be mixed, matched, and shared. The portions are generous, and there are great options for gluten-free and dairy-free diners, too. Amazing! I can believe today was the first time I heard of this restaurant! The staff is amazing and very knowledgeable. I have a dairy allergy (whole restaurant is vegan) and gluten allergy and they were able to accommodate me! (They do note that they can't guarantee no cross contamination, but they do have a separate fryer!). I was SUPER excited to see they have vegan milk shakes! They are AMAZING! So glad to have another great space I trust for my allergies. The atmosphere was super fun and cozy! I really liked that if I wanted to be antisocial that I can order through a QR code (which was VERY informative about gluten allergies!) You also have the option to order with the staff as well! They were always buzzing around so if you need assistance they are there. The food came out insanely fast and it was pretty busy at the time I was there. They are a tip free restaurant, they price their food so that they can pay their staff livable wages (which they dont advertise as much as I think they should!) Definitely worth the price! Can't express how excited I am about this restaurant from the food to their story AND paying their staff well - I love it! Side note: for anyone scared of vegan food or are worried about trying it - this is the place to do it! (My boyfriend wanted me to add - as someone who doesn't have allergies or have any experience with vegan meats - he loved it and said he could hardly tell the difference)

Excellent gluten free, vegan and vegetarian pizzas. While staying in the South Minneapolis for a few months this place quickly became a favored eatery! Gluten free menu is huge and there are huge vegetarian sections. Try!!!!

Love Pizza Lucé! I have had positive experiences with both pickup and delivery from the Seward location. I appreciate their vegan (and gluten free) options and the unique toppings and specialties. I have also done big orders for events and those were just as delicious and quick as ordering one or two pizzas at home. I have to mention that the seasonal butternut squash pizza is amazing!! I think about it all year and wish it was a more permanent menu item. Pizza Lucé is a Minneapolis staple and it’s clear why- their quality of food and quick, helpful service make it a great pizza experience.

I have Celiac disease and need to be sure the food is safe to eat so I don't get sick. Waitress was pushy and wouldn't answer my questions or was annoyed by my requests or clarifications, on top of being short with everyone else at the table. They replaced their gluten free flour for pizza crust with "washed wheat" and still call it gluten free, and they no longer have a dedicated oven for gluten free pizzas or dedicated kitchen space for gluten free items. I would not recommend eating here if you have food allergies because they will not accommodate you. I ate the food I was brought and I am sick. Overall my experience was pretty bad and I won't be going again.

I loved that they accommodate gluten free and dairy free but I definitely feel like if I’m paying the same price as someone with the full dining experience they could have made better substitutions. My least favorite were the gluten free crackers( at least homemade) that I had instead of their delicious looking bread, some mediocre winter squash, which was bland and would have tasted better with the breadcrumbs and the crispy shiitake mushroom, which was unseasoned and the pesto was not a good sauce for it. I think again, it was a second thought because it needed to be dairy free. Overall, the food was good. I really enjoyed the chickpea blue prawn fritter and the artic char. I think because they didn’t really have to do any substitutions with either. The salad was awesome, bright and full of citrus flavor. And the parsnips and cauliflower were seasoned well.

The gluten free options for this restaurant was the best part of the experience my boyfriend and I had. Although the food was decent, the staff were extremely loud, at some points rude to my boyfriend and I when ordering and asking questions, and also just not being respectful of guests in the restaurant.

Let me start by saying that the desserts, specifically the panqueque is amazing!! Highly recommend. As a gluten free human, it’s hard to find deserts that wow, and this one is incredible. Besides the deserts and cocktails though, I haven’t been all that impressed by the food. I’ve dined here twice and tried two different pastas and thought they were just ok for the price. The mushroom rigatoni had great flavor but the mushrooms were overcooked making them hard to chew, and the pasta itself was soaked in so much oil that it sat in the bottom of the dish making it feel overly heavy. From my first experience, the malfaldine was, again, just ok. That said, I will definitely will be back here for the cocktails, dessert, and atmosphere.

Everything was delicious and service was fantastic! My partner has severe celiac and our server went above and beyond to make sure she was safe. The food and drink selection were excellent and the price tag for two was reflected the quality. My only complaint was the noise- it was difficult to have a conversation even on a Tuesday night. I’ll be making a reservation for the patio next time!

First time here as we were visiting the area. Sat in the bar area. Food was good! Service was ok. Got chips and salsa for an appetizer and was a ton of chips, but not much salsa. Asked for more salsa to finish the chips and got charged for a 2nd chips/salsa appetizer!! Only other complaint was that it was cold and we both had to wear our winter coats the whole time. Loved that they had gluten free options and a gluten free menu to look at.

What a unique date night spot! We had never experienced fondue before, so it helped that our server Courtney was so friendly and knowledgeable. Since I eat gluten-free and dairy-free, I thought I'd have to forgo half of the meal, but The Melting Pot came through with vegan cheese, GF dippers, and vegan chocolate. My husband loved the vegan cheese even more than his real cheese dip, which is saying something! It's rare to find a restaurant that goes above and beyond to meet your dietary needs. The only reason for the four star is because the environment was really loud and overstimulating. We were seated next to the kitchen, so that contributed to some of it, but the couple booths have tabletops that are so small that you can barely fit all of the dippers and dishes and beyond. The food was great, but the atmosphere was a bit chaotic. If you want to go for the experience and food, it's amazing, but if you want to have an in-depth chat or cozy evening, this might not be the fit.

So 49ER Day party at Crave Rooftop was a lot of fun and the food was delicious. I was pretty surprised at how extensive their menu was. Oftentimes, when restaurants have a lot of items and different types and styles, it isn't always good. But when I tell you my bison burger and wings were very tasty. There was lots of flavor and made just the way I wanted. I don't like my wings swimming in sauce, so I asked for light sauce on my wings, and they listened, and it was just how I like. Their menu even has a gluten sensitive menu as well as a plant based menu. I was impressed with their options. If you find yourself in downtown Minneapolis, you should definitely check them out. You will not be disappointed!

Love the food! Absolutely delicious and fries. Some of my favorite fries in the cities. I wish there was a little more space between stools because it gets a bit cramped. Booth was much better. I'm gluten free and the staff were very knowledge. Fries are in a dedicated fryer. Fried onion is safe - fried chicken and fried fish are not. My biggest complaint is they served my gluten free burger on a separate plate but left my fries on the tray with the gluten burger. I do not recommend the chicken. It's fine, but overpriced for what it is. Their old fashioneds are on tap which is an interesting take. I love that they rub the zest on the glass Soft serve is phenomenal, highly recommend. The vanilla with the lavender and olive oil / salt is chef's kiss. Nice that the chocolate one is dairy free.

Visiting St. Anthony Main is like traveling to some quaint European village. We sat on the patio of Jefe to celebrate our anniversary. Great place to people watch and get a view of downtown Minneapolis. The food was delicious, of course, but the star of the meal was the dessert. I always appreciate a restaurant that offers gluten-free or friendly options other than swapping out bread on a sandwich. We each had an entree and shared the dessert - that was enough for me. Although, we had to take a secondary stop for my husband as he was still hungry.

Celiacs can’t eat here. I was so excited to see that they advertise so many gluten free options. Paid $3.50 fee to get cash bc they don’t take card and then when I got up to the counter to order I was told they couldn’t accommodate me because of cross contamination. Please don’t say things are gf if you can’t prepare them gf. It’s really demoralizing to people with food allergies to show up and be refused service.
