I appreciate that the gluten-friendly options are clearly marked on the menu. My son has celiac disease, and he loves the steak on the kids menu. Even though we tell the server that he has celiac, the kitchen still sends a package of Oreos out on his plate. The Oreos they have aren’t gluten-free, so no treat or a gluten-free alternative would be nice.
As for the regular menu, I’ve tried several things and have always been happy!
My friends and I picked Hatch because online it says they have gluten free options and two of the three of us cannot eat gluten without serious sickness and pain following. Our server was very accommodating and double checked with management before ringing in food to ensure it would be non contaminated.
We ordered some gluten free pancakes. They were good, tasted like King Author brand which is nice and fluffy. They were less fancy than expected but still good.
We had a delicious omelette that they made sure to cook in a different pan to prevent gluten contamination.
We also had a burger. The bun looked delicious and both people who cannot have gluten consumed some of the burger. When we asked about the brand, post consumption, they realized that they gave us a normal gluten bun. Unfortunately those two people had autoimmune flare ups for the next two days.
The manager came over and apologized and took care of a portion of our bill. They were super nice the whole time and we do understand that mistakes happen. It was nice to discount the meal which mostly afforded the emergency medicine we had to go to the store to purchase afterwards.
Moral of the story: check and double it triple check that all your food is gluten free if you have an allergy or high intolerance. Otherwise the food was good, service was great, and the atmosphere was pretty nice for a busy Sunday.
I went on a Sunday at noon, so the wait to get in was long, which was expected. Kimberly was our waitress and she was stellar!!!! she went above and beyond which made the extra wait for food tolerable.
I got Gluten Sensative pancakes, which was AMAZING. I have personally been avoiding IHOP as I have been GF for years and was pleasantly surprised when they had a GF and Vegan option.
lastly, they still celebrate birthday's. it was my daughters 5yr old birthday and they sang and made her feel special.
I am grateful for the fun we had today and the service we received.
Thank you!
A real French-style bakery with actual trained pastry chefs! The croissants were fantastic. Both the chocolate and the traditional butter were very airy, with a nice crisp crust and hearty full-bodied butter flavor. The macarons were also great, with a nice chew that one would expect from a high-quality macaron. The selection of flavors was outstanding. They also offered gluten friendly carrot cake muffins, which we were very appreciative of. Fortunately their macarons were all gluten friendly as well (aside from the cookies and cream flavor). The matcha latte was great and we had wonderful service all around. We look forward to returning to give the quiche Lorraine a try and perhaps a croque monsieur. Very happy to have such a great choice locally.
IF YOU HAVE ALLERGIES, READ MY REVIEW!!
My husband and I went here for Valentine's Day dinner and it was a horrible experience. The service was so bad. We had to ask for drinks multiple times and waited about 30 minutes to get them. Our original server only came back to our table once, towards the very end of our meal. Every other server was ignoring our table. At first, we seemed to be the only table in our section that wasn't getting service, until more young couples were sat. We had to flag a server down and ask for drink refills and a desert menu multiple times (we were never given refills until our desert was brought out). By the third time we had to ask, we had looked online and just ordered the desert without a menu. Every other table was given water at the start of their meal, but we did not get water until our desert was brought out. Also, the website stated that the Brazilian bread was served throughout the meal, we did not get ours until after we were done eating and had asked about it. I am allergic to gluten and was looking forward to this as the website states that bread is gluten free.
ALLERGIES: We chose this restaurant because I am allergic to gluten and they show they have a lot of options. I informed the server when we first arrived and she got me a list of allergens for all items. I looked over it and nothing I ate should have had gluten, but I woke up the next morning with all my allergic reactions. They also show on their website that everything on their Marketside Table is gluten free, but they serve Italian Bread and croutons on the Marketside Table! I did not eat this bread as it is definitely not gluten free (their allergen list shows this as well). If you have a food allergy, DO NOT eat here. They either have very bad cross contamination, or their allergen list is not correct!
First timers and we were suprised at how good it was. My wife had celiac they made sure her food was gluten free. Both our dinners were excellent quality and served as ordered. Nice clean atmosphere. We will def be back!
Liberty was an excellent server. she was friendly and made my solo dinner enjoyable with her friendly conversation. the Gluten Free Pizza had a great crust and the toppers were a wondeful combination.
thanks for the evening out Liberty!
Substantial portions for a good price and gluten-friendly options are available. Such a kind wait staff. Plus, the manager walked around greeting everyone and ensuring a quality dining experience.
Such a cool and delicious new pho spot in OKC! There are vegetarian options and gluten free options as well! The vermicelli cold noodles were so good, will definitely be back to try the drinks!
