100 percent gluten free menu, and good drinks. They have taco specials, I picked the seafood option. The tacos were good, very fancy with the ingredients. I wish I had tried the meat tacos as well. The passion fruit margaritas was also good.

Any place that sells gluten free pancakes is a good place for me. The ambience and rest of food was very nice too. The seasoned tofu was good, but a little too salty for me.

The fact that this place does gluten free fried chicken with a DEDICATED FRYER has me hooked. I love having that knowledge that this space will be somewhere I can safely eat without worry! Delicious chicken cooked in a great sauce. Quick service for a Saturday afternoon as well. Very happy about that! Space inside is pretty small, so I definitely recommend opting to sit outside. The burger was cooked to medium, and was very juicy. Cocktails were also excellent. This place has a great happy hour menu as well if you find yourself searching the more budget friendly option. So many gluten free options to chose from on this menu, I would definitely recommend!

Wonderful vegan cheese and thicker gluten free crust that has great flavor 🤩 The service is amazing. You will not find sweeter people to wait on you and answer all ypur questions. We will definitely be back! My husband got the chicago deep dish (regular style) and loved it! This was a great find.

This place is great. I think if I didn't have to be gluten free it would be amazing. Since I am, I'm saying it was good/great. (Wish they had Tamari!) Beautiful restaurant interior. I don't love having to stand in line to order as sometimes the lines are really long but maybe it's different now that things are more open post pandemic. The outdoor booths are cute but I haven't sat in them yet. Drinks are excellent too!!

I keep walking by this spot and I finally went in to grab some of their brunch sandwiches to go. They had a really solid gluten free option for my partner and we liked it so much we went back for dinner! The empanadas were incredible and so many bonus points for the gluten free options. Will definitely be back!

I'd give more stars if I could! The staff was very kind, the restaurant was cute, and the food was absolutely incredible. I have celiac disease but there were tons of gluten free options (the gf pita was divine). I also accidentally left my phone in the booth after dinner, but they went out of their way to catch up to me and make sure I didn't leave it behind. A wonderful experience and I will definitely be back.

Church Bar is born again and this revival is well worth the wait! The NEW Church Bar was resurrected and opened on April 15, 2022 I am in awe of the new owners (Lauren and Anthony) for all their dedication to beautifying Church Bar!! They have put heir heart and souls into completely updating the interior and rebranding Church. Their attention to detail is glorious! Their carefully created cocktail list is diverse and offers a little bit of something for everyone. They also have a wide spectrum of draft beers as well as seltzer and cider offerings. Their daily slushies are joyous and tasty! Their food menu is great with a little of something for everyone! I LOVE everything on the menu and trust me, I’ve tried everything!! I love to start with the delectable deviled eggs and the tantalizing sacred nuts! Mercy me! The ribletts and Shoestring Sweet Onions (V/GF) are two of my absolute favorite go-tos! The shoestring fries are thinly sliced onions marinated in buttermilk,dredged in seasoned flour then fried, served with ranch dressing. Every time I eat them, I am certain that I am in culinary heaven. The Fried Spaghetti Squash (Roasted spaghetti squash, herbs, mixed cheese, leeks served with smoked tomato sauce) is another favorite of mine! They have plenty of gluten-free and vegan options available. They also have occasional food pop-up such as Trinidad and ??? Food. The new owners had it custom coded yes one more unique beautiful aspect of the newly reborn Church Bar! The “confessional” is a photo booth. We’ve made so many fun memories in the “confessional” Church has a huge array DJ’s that provide lively dancing music every night. They have extended their hours and hours constantly reinventing themselves. They’ve added trivia on Wednesday nights and they have a fairly regular stream of pop up food options. Follow them on social media for updates, special events, pop-up info The revival of Church Bar is awe-inspiring! Huge shout out to all the friends, family and customers that continue to support Church Bar - especially during this seemingly never ending pandemic purgatory. I beseech you to join me in helping making Church Bar hugely successful. I have faith that their efforts will payoff in dividends and they will have faithful followers. I ordered from Eem on DoorDash after seeing they had a deal on there. I’d been dying to try this place for years but never made it happen. I felt bad because I ordered 2 minutes before orders closed for the night. I honestly wasn’t expecting super fresh or warm food (especially since it was delivery) and woooow was I so incorrect. The food was fresh, full of flavor, and still hot enough to not reheat. Worth every penny! I am also gluten free and LOVE that Eem is allergen friendly. The menu clearly states all allergens in the food so I didn’t have to guess or risk glutening myself. We ordered the BBQ fried rice, the green curry with vegetables & shredded pork, the sweet & sour fried chicken (not gluten free but got them for my partner and friend), and the Massaman curry with smoked lamb shoulder. Each item was delicious and 10/10 quality. The chicken pulled apart so nicely, it wasn’t overly breaded and you could tell that the ingredients are superb quality. We will be back to eat in the restaurant next time. The food is INCREDIBLE. You have to try this restaurant!!

Excellent food - everything from the fries to the salads is delicious. Great cocktails too! The happy hour is one of the best in town. I do wish there were just a few more gluten-free options, but I can't complain that much because they have this gf warm chocolate brownie that I would sell my soul for.

solid gluten free crust. came during lunch rush for a to go order and almost didn't make it back to work in time. staff was incredible and very friendly. food was okay, high quality toppings. I'm a pretty huge snob about pizza so take this with a grain of salt

We had truly one of the worst customer service experiences ever at this place. We had the rudest waitress. Our large party called ahead of time to request to go over the normal allowed limit. Our request was approved but the waitress who had us was PISSED at our table size despite us being kind customers. She scoffed at two of us for asking for gluten free options. At the end, our group organizer asked her if we had upset her and she said “ACTUALLY yes, you are breaking our table size rule” and went off about it, then told us she wouldn’t continue taking care of us and we had a switch off of servers. The whole table was appalled. We ordered plenty of dishes with a large check and were friendly. Our two families will never recommend this place because of this waitress

We absolutely loved having our 55-person wedding at Bar Carlo. The owner Mel is at the same time very supportive and very low-key, which made for a smooth planning process and day-of event. The space is gorgeous, and has multiple connected wings, which allowed for the the party to morph seamlessly over the night from barside cocktail hour to outdoor patio ceremony to dinner buffet to dance floor. The space is already a beautifully decorated artwork, and Mel lets you decide how to arrange the space for your event, but you can also bring your own decorations/sound system/llama and she can handle those additions easily. 🙂 The food and drinks were delicious too, and Mel was able to accommodate our entirely vegan and gluten-free menu without hesitation. Overall we loved the unique-ness, flexibility and good vibes of the space and the people of Bar Carlo, and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a cute and fun space for their wedding or other event. -Nicola & Lou

Great ambiance | Great Service | Delicious Wow, it was our first time coming here. The whole aesthetic/ atmosphere is beautiful. I loved the colors and textures used. It’s very clean and organized. We were greeted and seated quickly. Our waitress was great and tended to our needs. We ordered miso soup, edamame, salmon flight sashimi, chicken skewers, Sapporo miso ramen without egg and gluten free noodles, and green tea. Miso soup was excellent and served at perfect temperature. Not salty and the seaweed was thicker than other places. They give more edamame than most places too! The Salmon sashimi was delicious and beautifully presented. The Sapporo Ramen was delicious! That broth was so good, not salty! Highly recommend this one, and if you want to add some spice, you can request the spicy version. The pork slices were perfect with not too much fat but full of flavor. Loved that the toppings were the right amount so that when you’re down to eating noodles, you still have enough corn and sprouts with every bite. We will be back. This is a great lunch and dinner spot in a good location.

Has become our new neighborhood favorite. Great pizza and cocktails, and if you are a whisky fan the selection is nearly unbeatable. Favorite pizza so far is the "spring chicken". Even tried it on their gluten free crust which was really good too.

We've been ordering from Friendship Kitchen for several years. Their food and their service are always fantastic. Tonight we had the vegan phô, the shrimp crêpe and the tofu salad rolls. All were fantastic. The shrimp crêpes are really different, have an essence of coconut, and are very tasty (and our gluten-free). The vegan phô is chock full of vegetables and the broth is very flavorful. The bean sprouts, Thai basil and cilantro served with it were plentiful. We got this order for two people, and we have enough leftover for another meal.

if you're not a fan of spooky stuff, like me, still recommend 100%, just take someone with you to the bathroom lol. extensive cocktail list + other options on the menu (along with nonalcoholic options too)! the presentation & creativity of these are insaneeee. I got one of their christmas specials, gryla's growl and it came in a freaking cauldron?! the menu has gluten-free & vegan options. recommend the cute lil ghost beignets (screaming ghosts)! the christmas experience was dope! but also highly recommend going during any point of the year for the cool drinks & the vibe!!

The restaurant is located in an interesting place. I ubered at night so I didn't see as much as I wanted. The entrance is unassuming. If you're unfamiliar it seems like the wrong place. Take the elevator to the third floor. The restaurant is cozy in a good way. It's upscale but not overly pretentious. The appetizers were shareable and very good. The salad was very pretty almost like a flower using bib lettuce, and good. The entree was the best steak I've had in some years - tender and full of flavor. The crispy potatoes (yukon? and purple) were also very good. As I was eating I thought to myself it reminded me that food could actually be this good. The meal and a frozen mango sorbet dessert were all gluten-friendly. Service was wonderful and attentive with good suggestions. If I ever go back to Portland I wouldn't leave without dining there again. 5+

Very chill atmosphere, low lighting with a sit down bar inside and a self serve water station. Not a sit down a sit down and order type of place, you order when you walk in and they give you a number then you sit wherever you please. The food is delicious and tastes like it's made with fresh ingredients. The pizza crust is kinda thin, perfectly crispy and not oily so I really enjoyed it. They also offer a gluten free crust which we ordered for my mother in law, which is very thin and crispy (like most gluten free pizzas). It wasn't her most favorite crust but she enjoyed the pesto sauce and toppings on the pizza.

I want to love this place but don’t be fooled by gluten free menu designations. I got hit with gluten hard. I had them check with the chef but got hit anyway. Afterwards I checked their status on find me gluten free and sure enough many have had this same issue.

Overall great experience! We had a party of 33 and had a VERY difficult time finding a restaurant that could take as many people and willing to accommodate the menu choices available. Every restaurant in town I called set up a food and drink menu and refused to deviate from it even if we knew we would like certain choices or had dietary issues (allergic, gluten, vegetarian etc). This was NOT the case at Irving Street Tapas. Paresh the restaurant manager went WELL BEYOND the call of duty to accommodate our large group and did a fantastic job getting everything aligned and setup. We were able to set a budget of what we wanted to spend and they recommended food and drinks to fit within that but still allowing us to modify if needed. As long as they are in business we will be making this our go to every year during this time.

I absolutely can not say enough good things about this restaurant!! I loved every bit of it. It feels nice and up scale as you walk in. Perfect for a nice date night. It has a beautiful blue mix tile floor with a dim lighting but is cozy but still had enough light to talk with my husband and read the menu. Our server was so knowledgeable about the menu and specials. I informed her that I was gluten-free. She gave me a lovely recommendation of sparkling wine to pear with my pork. The food is full of flavor. My husband and I ordered a little bit of everything, and every dish was more lovely than the next. We will most definitely be back! Thank you for everything ❤️

If you’re looking to for unique, high quality Thai food - try this place. We were expecting a classic American Thai spot where we could order pad Thai etc - this place is not that- but we got so excited by the menu and ordered a handful of things. I would 100% recommend the Yum Som salad, Khao Mok Gai (chicken entree), Spicy Red Wine Tamarind Duck, and Taro Crème Brûlée (dairy and gluten free and amazing!). Looking forward to our next visit 😊

Found this place by accident (hungry, picky teens and a quick Google search for "restaurants near me") There was something for everyone. Great charcuterie and cheese board for my husband and I (with gluten free accomodations) and entrees for the kids. Service was a bit on the slow side, but we weren't in a hurry.
