100 percent gluten free menu, and good drinks. They have taco specials, I picked the seafood option. The tacos were good, very fancy with the ingredients. I wish I had tried the meat tacos as well. The passion fruit margaritas was also good.

I will ALWAYS recommend this place to anyone looking for a breakfast/brunch spot in Portland. The menu? Amazing. The service? So friendly. The food? Outstanding, the jam? Well, there’s a reason why it’s called JAM on Hawthorne. A friend in my party needed a gluten-free accommodation and not only was she presented with such giant GF pancakes that she couldn’t even finish, but she was also given extra toppings to-go for her leftovers which was so sweet! Street parking is a bit scarce, but the surrounding neighborhood parking is free. Just remember to pin your location or else you might forget where you parked like I did!

grabbed a nibble and cocktails with a friend here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. great happy hour options. ambiance? fantastic. relaxed but nice. not trying too hard. bartender? a dream. she guided us toward the perfect cocktails when we couldn't decide. funny and cool. server? fabulous. also funny. loved her. food? the chicken sandwich was slay. generous slab of chicken on that thing. don't know how to upload the picture of the chicken sandwich from my flip phone so you'll just have to imagine it. gluten free fryer which is great for a town of intolerants. had fun, will be back

Nudi is one of our favorite restaurants. We just went on 2/7 and had a great time. The food is always amazing, and the service has been friendly. It's a more relaxed atmosphere so they don't run on a tight schedule like other restaurants, so expect to just go with the flow. We've been probably 10 or more times in the last year and have never been disappointed. Tu (I think that's the correct spelling) is an absolute delight and will upsell the specials and cocktails with silly teasing (which we've found fun - not disrespectful) but whenever we've accepted, we've been happy we did (lobster pad thai means a whole lobster next to your noodles and you will have to work for it lol). We eat mostly gluten free and have been with seriously gluten free friends and have never had an issue finding something for everyone. Their staples are always amazing for the less adventurous eaters (the short ribs, jap chae, ramen, pad kee mao, pad see lew, pad thai, holy basil fried rice).

Food was good. Nothing fancy but well done. But the service. Firstly we ordered a gluten free pizza (+$7) but was bought a regular crust. Very dangerous. And not a hint of apology but instead "I didn't take your order". The entire crew seemed to be very self- untitled

I came here for my bday and the staff was absolutely wonderful! The food was mind blowing and I loved every moment at this place! When you put out good energy you get it back and this place was everything and more! I will be bringing everyone I know back especially cus its gluten and dairy free! This place is great. I think if I didn't have to be gluten free it would be amazing. Since I am, I'm saying it was good/great. (Wish they had Tamari!) Beautiful restaurant interior. I don't love having to stand in line to order as sometimes the lines are really long but maybe it's different now that things are more open post pandemic. The outdoor booths are cute but I haven't sat in them yet. Drinks are excellent too!!

I keep walking by this spot and I finally went in to grab some of their brunch sandwiches to go. They had a really solid gluten free option for my partner and we liked it so much we went back for dinner! The empanadas were incredible and so many bonus points for the gluten free options. Will definitely be back!

I'd give more stars if I could! The staff was very kind, the restaurant was cute, and the food was absolutely incredible. I have celiac disease but there were tons of gluten free options (the gf pita was divine). I also accidentally left my phone in the booth after dinner, but they went out of their way to catch up to me and make sure I didn't leave it behind. A wonderful experience and I will definitely be back.

Church Bar is born again and this revival is well worth the wait! The NEW Church Bar was resurrected and opened on April 15, 2022 I am in awe of the new owners (Lauren and Anthony) for all their dedication to beautifying Church Bar!! They have put heir heart and souls into completely updating the interior and rebranding Church. Their attention to detail is glorious! Their carefully created cocktail list is diverse and offers a little bit of something for everyone. They also have a wide spectrum of draft beers as well as seltzer and cider offerings. Their daily slushies are joyous and tasty! Their food menu is great with a little of something for everyone! I LOVE everything on the menu and trust me, I’ve tried everything!! I love to start with the delectable deviled eggs and the tantalizing sacred nuts! Mercy me! The ribletts and Shoestring Sweet Onions (V/GF) are two of my absolute favorite go-tos! The shoestring fries are thinly sliced onions marinated in buttermilk,dredged in seasoned flour then fried, served with ranch dressing. Every time I eat them, I am certain that I am in culinary heaven. The Fried Spaghetti Squash (Roasted spaghetti squash, herbs, mixed cheese, leeks served with smoked tomato sauce) is another favorite of mine! They have plenty of gluten-free and vegan options available. They also have occasional food pop-up such as Trinidad and ??? Food. The new owners had it custom coded yes one more unique beautiful aspect of the newly reborn Church Bar! The “confessional” is a photo booth. We’ve made so many fun memories in the “confessional” Church has a huge array DJ’s that provide lively dancing music every night. They have extended their hours and hours constantly reinventing themselves. They’ve added trivia on Wednesday nights and they have a fairly regular stream of pop up food options. Follow them on social media for updates, special events, pop-up info The revival of Church Bar is awe-inspiring! Huge shout out to all the friends, family and customers that continue to support Church Bar - especially during this seemingly never ending pandemic purgatory. I beseech you to join me in helping making Church Bar hugely successful. I have faith that their efforts will payoff in dividends and they will have faithful followers. This is our first time here and if we were local, we'd be regulars. First we ordered a "Thai tea with coconut milk" and when it came it looked like a Caesar (or an bloody Mary? For the US folks) but it's this incredible, sweet, brown sugary tasting sweet cold tea. SO GOOD. Then we got the sweet and sour chicken, or as the Instagram calls it "flightless bird chunks in gluten" and for someone who can't do black pepper, these were a top of the spice level, burns a little but the flavour is so good, I'll put up with the burn, kind of burn. Hubs got something very spicy called "pork Krapow" (I think) and he does spice quite well and it made him "emotional" 😅. I had the white curry and brisket ends thanks to a suggestion from reddit. These were spicier than the bird chunks, but when I scooped the meat and cauliflower out of the bath and put them on the rice, I was able to enjoy the creamy, coconuty sauce so much more. The brisket was the best meat that I've had at a restaurant in my entire life and I'd suffer through the heat again for it. When I say I can't do spice, spice gives me a burn like taking a shot of tequila burns.. and I'd gladly eat this meal again. Our server, Taylor, was the sweetest human. She walked me through the menu on spice levels and what was safe and also what I shouldn't even look at because looking at it would burn. She was an incredible server and a major asset to this restaurant. I'm sure the other servers were incredible, but Taylor was fabulous! Thank you for having us, Eem. We will see you again one day for sure!

Excellent food - everything from the fries to the salads is delicious. Great cocktails too! The happy hour is one of the best in town. I do wish there were just a few more gluten-free options, but I can't complain that much because they have this gf warm chocolate brownie that I would sell my soul for.

solid gluten free crust. came during lunch rush for a to go order and almost didn't make it back to work in time. staff was incredible and very friendly. food was okay, high quality toppings. I'm a pretty huge snob about pizza so take this with a grain of salt

We had truly one of the worst customer service experiences ever at this place. We had the rudest waitress. Our large party called ahead of time to request to go over the normal allowed limit. Our request was approved but the waitress who had us was PISSED at our table size despite us being kind customers. She scoffed at two of us for asking for gluten free options. At the end, our group organizer asked her if we had upset her and she said “ACTUALLY yes, you are breaking our table size rule” and went off about it, then told us she wouldn’t continue taking care of us and we had a switch off of servers. The whole table was appalled. We ordered plenty of dishes with a large check and were friendly. Our two families will never recommend this place because of this waitress

Truly delightful! Everything we ordered was beautifully cooked and so flavorful. I would highly recommend the espresso with sweetened condensed milk - such a tasty treat! Also had some good gluten free options.

We absolutely loved having our 55-person wedding at Bar Carlo. The owner Mel is at the same time very supportive and very low-key, which made for a smooth planning process and day-of event. The space is gorgeous, and has multiple connected wings, which allowed for the the party to morph seamlessly over the night from barside cocktail hour to outdoor patio ceremony to dinner buffet to dance floor. The space is already a beautifully decorated artwork, and Mel lets you decide how to arrange the space for your event, but you can also bring your own decorations/sound system/llama and she can handle those additions easily. 🙂 The food and drinks were delicious too, and Mel was able to accommodate our entirely vegan and gluten-free menu without hesitation. Overall we loved the unique-ness, flexibility and good vibes of the space and the people of Bar Carlo, and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a cute and fun space for their wedding or other event. -Nicola & Lou

Super friendly and patient with all of my questions. Knows freaking everything about the origin and history of every ingredient on the menu. Took great care of my friends gluten free needs. Superhuman.

Has become our new neighborhood favorite. Great pizza and cocktails, and if you are a whisky fan the selection is nearly unbeatable. Favorite pizza so far is the "spring chicken". Even tried it on their gluten free crust which was really good too.

Their vegan pho and garden rolls are 10/10! I love how they prepared the tofu in the garden rolls - very unique and tasty. And the tofu in their vegan pho was literally perfect and not overcooked like it is at so many other places. They were also super accommodating of my gluten allergy, letting me know right away that the peanut sauce contains gluten and offering a delicious gluten-free sweet sauce instead. Reasonably priced for the flavors, portion sizes and friendly, attentive staff. Thank you!

The burger was great. Nice and juicy. They were very accommodating, as we all had ours served differently, as needed for our dietary needs. I had mine with a gluten free bun, my husband had his with a regular bun (which was nice and soft) and my daughter had hers served on lettuce. My only complaints were that although the servers were very courteous, the service was pretty slow, and it took a long time to get our food.

if you're not a fan of spooky stuff, like me, still recommend 100%, just take someone with you to the bathroom lol. extensive cocktail list + other options on the menu (along with nonalcoholic options too)! the presentation & creativity of these are insaneeee. I got one of their christmas specials, gryla's growl and it came in a freaking cauldron?! the menu has gluten-free & vegan options. recommend the cute lil ghost beignets (screaming ghosts)! the christmas experience was dope! but also highly recommend going during any point of the year for the cool drinks & the vibe!!

The restaurant is located in an interesting place. I ubered at night so I didn't see as much as I wanted. The entrance is unassuming. If you're unfamiliar it seems like the wrong place. Take the elevator to the third floor. The restaurant is cozy in a good way. It's upscale but not overly pretentious. The appetizers were shareable and very good. The salad was very pretty almost like a flower using bib lettuce, and good. The entree was the best steak I've had in some years - tender and full of flavor. The crispy potatoes (yukon? and purple) were also very good. As I was eating I thought to myself it reminded me that food could actually be this good. The meal and a frozen mango sorbet dessert were all gluten-friendly. Service was wonderful and attentive with good suggestions. If I ever go back to Portland I wouldn't leave without dining there again. 5+

Very chill atmosphere, low lighting with a sit down bar inside and a self serve water station. Not a sit down a sit down and order type of place, you order when you walk in and they give you a number then you sit wherever you please. The food is delicious and tastes like it's made with fresh ingredients. The pizza crust is kinda thin, perfectly crispy and not oily so I really enjoyed it. They also offer a gluten free crust which we ordered for my mother in law, which is very thin and crispy (like most gluten free pizzas). It wasn't her most favorite crust but she enjoyed the pesto sauce and toppings on the pizza.

I want to love this place but don’t be fooled by gluten free menu designations. I got hit with gluten hard. I had them check with the chef but got hit anyway. Afterwards I checked their status on find me gluten free and sure enough many have had this same issue.

Overall great experience! We had a party of 33 and had a VERY difficult time finding a restaurant that could take as many people and willing to accommodate the menu choices available. Every restaurant in town I called set up a food and drink menu and refused to deviate from it even if we knew we would like certain choices or had dietary issues (allergic, gluten, vegetarian etc). This was NOT the case at Irving Street Tapas. Paresh the restaurant manager went WELL BEYOND the call of duty to accommodate our large group and did a fantastic job getting everything aligned and setup. We were able to set a budget of what we wanted to spend and they recommended food and drinks to fit within that but still allowing us to modify if needed. As long as they are in business we will be making this our go to every year during this time.

I absolutely can not say enough good things about this restaurant!! I loved every bit of it. It feels nice and up scale as you walk in. Perfect for a nice date night. It has a beautiful blue mix tile floor with a dim lighting but is cozy but still had enough light to talk with my husband and read the menu. Our server was so knowledgeable about the menu and specials. I informed her that I was gluten-free. She gave me a lovely recommendation of sparkling wine to pear with my pork. The food is full of flavor. My husband and I ordered a little bit of everything, and every dish was more lovely than the next. We will most definitely be back! Thank you for everything ❤️

We booked Produce Row for our wedding ceremony and couldn't be happier with the experience. With around 70 guests, the venue provided ample space and a layout that flowed perfectly with our wedding schedule. Our guests raved about the food, saying it was the best they’ve ever had at a wedding. We also had a guest with gluten allergies who felt well accommodated and was thrilled with the GF beer option. The staff at Produce Row were exceptional, going above and beyond to make our day special, even accommodating our family’s early afternoon decoration setup. Their organization and coordination ensured everything went smoothly. Communication during the planning process was always prompt and clear. The bartender also received high praise from our guests. Produce Row is a beautiful venue, and while we added some personal touches with our own decorations, the space was already stunning on its own. We couldn’t recommend it more highly.

I had the chicken thigh sandwich and it was the best Gluten-free sandwich I’ve had in ages. The bread used was mini GF baguette and it wasn’t too dry or bland. The combination of sauces and spices was perfect.
