I went to Al Dente next door to here and asked if I could sit at the bar and the gentleman at the front (owner?) was very pleasant in directing me to “his bar” in Benevetos. So they’re related. The menus are similar except Benevotos has a great open kitchen with a wood fired pizza oven. I was a bit pasta-d out so I was hoping for the Sea Bass Al Dente but it isn’t on this menu. So I went for pizza, and they had a gluten free crust (+$5, a little steep) which was very good. The bar tender, who did a great job, said it would be thin, crunchy and good, and she was right. Overall it was a good pizza with plenty of fresh ingredients. Perhaps undercooked on top, which can happen with a Gf crust, but solid. I’ll try the sea bass next door next time.
With a vibrant atmosphere and top-notch decor, this spot impresses with its unique pizza crusts and a lively, bustling vibe.

I went here with two girlfriends and sat at the bar. We order the beans, the hummus with arugula and prosciutto and a gluten free crust pizza. All of it was spectacular. The pizza crust was a think crust - but texture and flavor were spot on!
The bean dish was out of this world and the sauce was excellent. Cocktails were also good and service impeccable. Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing!
The staff is thoroughly trained and managers bring allergies to the table. They even use a black napkin under allergy plates as a signal to all employees that the dish is an allergy. They use casarecce GF pasta - so they can know it’s GF just by looking at it. I felt incredibly safe eating here, and I got an almond flour cannoli!

One of the coolest spots in little Italy, I loved the set up. The food was really cool, they offered gluten free pasta and vegan cheese which made my day! The service was a bit slammed, we had to wait a while to get seated and checked out but that’s to be expected when it’s a popular spot.
Nestled in a vibrant area, this lively spot boasts an inviting ambiance with exposed brick, perfect for date nights and gatherings.

High energy and lively place with an extensive menu and good wine list. The Gluten Free selection is outstanding. The food was great with lots of things to share. It can be loud when it's busy.

Homemade GF pasta and mozzarella sticks!!! Yes please!! My sister and I both have celiac and our waiter put us at ease right away, letting us know that the gluten-free food was prepared in a separate area. I did have my 10 year old niece with me. She was not as appreciative of the menu. There were not many options for her as a child.
Charming spot with a cozy vibe, offering a fantastic variety of vegan options and delicious dishes that cater to all preferences.

Great place!! The service was top-notch, the inside is a bit cramped (it's the north end) and wicked hot inside but otherwise good! The real star was of course the food. Hands down amazing from the appetizer to the main course- and they accommodated all my allergies very well! I'm GF and DF, they were able to do a lot and had Vegan options too. I'm celiac, felt safe and didn't get sick. Highly recommend.

Amazing restaurant. Affordable. Delicious food. Friendly staff. Very accommodating with gluten allergy.
The restaurant boasts the fact that they can make most of the menu gluten free, but after asking about gluten free pasta, I was informed they don't have it. So I decided on the caprese risotto since it was one of the options I could have. It was very tasty. A little too cheesy for my taste, but overall a solid meal. Do not come here expecting gf pasta though.

Food was delicious, the waiters and staff were very accommodating and pleasant. The restaurant has a nice well lit view and relaxing ambience. Come here for the homemade pasta and oven fired pizza. Very good. I got the carbonara with gluten free penne.
A hidden gem with amazing handmade pasta but expect a chaotic service experience and a rushed dining atmosphere.

The flavors are generally pretty complimentary and I am appreciative of the high-quality gluten-free pasta with celiac-friendly preparation.
The atmosphere leaves something to be desired in two aspects:
1: the somewhat arrogant pricing
2: the customer conveyor-belt style service flow - they are trying to fit as many seatings as possible into each evening and do everything they possibly can to get people in & out in under an hour - seems a bit self-defeating when they are selling $65+ bottles of wine
Worth it if you go in expecting to order light, get one drink, and move on. Definitely find somewhere else if you'd like to enjoy multiple courses and make an evening of it though.

My daughter and I had lunch here a couple weeks ago. We sat outside where we experienced a very comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Our waiter was Wilmar. He was polite, professional, and checked multiple times to make sure we were happy. The food was AMAZING! My daughter had the Wild Mushroom Ravioli (which she loved) and I had the Margherita pizza with a gluten free crust. The menu states it is a personal-size pizza, but it was so big, I had to share it with my daughter. This pizza tasted just like the one I had in Positano Italy. So authentic! They also have wine pairings which is a really nice touch. We did not have room for dessert, but tried anyway. My daughter had Clelia's Limoncello which is Lemon Gelato with a Limoncello liqueur center, meringue sprinkles, and lady fingers. She said it was so good! I had the Warm Chocolate Torta (which is flourless) served with ice cream. That was really delicious! Also, it was so nice to have gluten free options. We are definitely coming back again soon.

BOOK HERE! The food is 10/10 as well as the service. Having dinner here was a highlight of our trip to Boston. Sitting at the Chef's Counter was so interesting and I hope to do it again some day. If you are Celiac / Gluten free you will be SO well taken care of! They had a separate menu for me to look at with plenty of options.

I have a very thoughtful partner who put a lot of time into looking for a nice Italian restaurant in the North End for date night with the understanding that I will be looking for gluten-free options.
I don't get very many one-star reviews. I'm not entirely sure who is at fault for my experience it could be someone who works in the kitchen it could be the server...
I told them that I couldn't eat gluten due to an allergy. I was served a huge pile of wheat pasta. Do better, I guess. Mistakes happen. I do have a larger problem with the way it was handled after it was discovered to be a problem.
I identified the error before putting food in my mouth and sent it back to the kitchen.
When the food returned, it was literally the same dish and cut of meat but the pasta had been swapped out. It was evident that Lucia Ristorante did not value my safety.
Aside from that, the gluten-free pile of pasta that I received had been cooked hours before and was lukewarm and gummy. Reader, I understand that gluten-free pasta is not the main focus of North End dining but this was the most vile gluten-free pasta I have ever experienced. As you can imagine that's kind of saying a lot.
If that was all that happened I might actually give them another chance and just be really clear next time and provide boundaries up front about what is acceptable for a replacement.... except that the actual dish that I got was such salty dry Bland chicken. I have to say that the fried artichoke was really good. But a few fried artichokes on a dish full of vile pasta kind of eroded my trust to the point where I don't think it's worth trying again.
Exceptional dining experience with a creative tasting menu that highlights delicious dishes and attentive service that truly caters to dietary needs.

I did not take any photos because I was very much in the moment. This was one of the best meals my husband and I have ever had out! I have to eat a gluten free diet, and they brought us out dishes that were all gluten free. The wine pairings for the dishes were on point. The manager came over and offered us two different white wines to choose from with our meal. One was a very unique white wine while the other was more what you may expect, so she was giving us tastes of each so we could choose. We chose the unique wine - I believe it was made with the grape skins still intact, which gave it an interesting flavor. The service was on point from everyone we came into contact with. Loved every moment of this dining experience.

My mom & I are traveling and stopped here to eat dinner. We spoke with Benson (Manager) who was very knowledgeable and caring to help my mother who has SEVERE celiac. We got seated and ordered. They gave my mom a gluten free menu and she ordered the pasta with chicken and sausage.
My mom loved it and was satisfied. Benson came back to check on us and we had such a lovely conversation with her. We will be coming back!
Thanks again, Benson!!

A Taste of Italy in the Heart of Boston: A Review of Eataly
Stepping into Eataly Boston is like being transported to a bustling Italian marketplace, where every turn is a new adventure for the senses. The food, the heart and soul of Eataly, is nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. Each dish is a testament to the clean, vibrant flavors that Italian cuisine is celebrated for.
The salads are a fresh, colorful celebration of the finest produce, each bite bursting with the pure taste of nature. For those of us with dietary restrictions, the gluten-free options are a godsend. The gluten-free pizzas and pasta are so deliciously crafted that they leave no room for missing the traditional wheat-based staples. It's Italian comfort food made inclusive, without compromising on taste.
And then, there's the cannoli. Each cannoli is a perfect symphony of crisp pastry and creamy, sweet ricotta filling, ending any meal on a high note. It's the kind of dessert that beckons you back for just one more bite.
But Eataly Boston isn't just about the food; it's also about discovery. The little store within is a treasure trove of rare finds, offering gourmet items that are hard to come by elsewhere. It's this unique blend of dining and shopping that makes Eataly a standout destination.
In conclusion, Eataly Boston is a place where every meal is a celebration, every item on the shelf a discovery, and every visit an experience to remember. It's a slice of Italy right here in Boston, and it's absolutely delightful.

My group came here for dinner while we were visiting the area and were all very impressed with the food and the service here. My gluten free pasta was outstanding and the noodles themselves were definitely good quality, not the budget stuff you get at grocery stores. Everyone else loved their pizzas and all said they would be back on our next trip. Atmosphere was not quite what I expected, but that not a bad thing, just don't worry about looking nice to come here! Casual and comfortable with awesome food. 10/10 give them a try.

We had a good dinner, my husband ordered cacio de pepe, which was prepared tableside -- very cool! Our waiter was great, very helpful, and there were plenty of busboys, etc to take care of us as well. One of our party is gluten-free, and all their pasta can be prepared gluten-free, so that was a treat.

This is the only Italian restaurant I go to in Boston, their food is the only that compares to my mom and grandparents’ cooking. The staff is always friendly, even during rushes.
There are some delicious vegetarian and gluten free options if you have dietary restrictions. Parking is tough in this area, you’ll likely have to find a metered space and walk to the restaurant.
Absolutely amazing eggplant parm- any chance you can make it gluten free in the future? It’s worth suffering through food allergies if you have them because this eggplant parm is so delicious!

Late night date night at Lucca in the North End. Bar closes at 1am and Kitchen close at 11:45pm every day. One of the BEST lamb chops ever and my husband had the Lobster Fra-Diavolo, he loved it and devoured it. Got a cosmo and a glass of the Prisioner Cabernet Sauvignon. The service was outstanding. Amazing experience from start to finish! We recently dined at Lo Conte's with a group of 14 friends for a birthday celebration. Chef Mike and his staff provided personal service that is rare to find in such busy restaurant in the North End. Not only did he recommend a nearby bakery to bake the birthday cake, he even sent a staff member to pick it up at the bakery before we arrived! He personally stopped by our table to provide menu recommendations, all of which were delicious. Some of the group favorites were the mussels, the meatballs and calamari and shrimp appetizers, and pasta with homemade bolognese, chicken parmesan and chicken picatta for entrees. He even offers a gluten-free pasta option. The flavors were amazing, the portions were generous and prices were very reasonable. P.S. I was reluctant to write this review because I fear that if word gets out, this hidden gem in the North End will have a line out the door! Everyone in our group is already looking forward to planning another visit!

I’m still dreaming of my meal that I had here a few weeks ago. The lobster fettuccini was hands down the best dish I’ve had in the North End. It was packed with fresh lobster and the pink sauce was just perfect. They make all of their pasta and bread and it really shows. Everything is to die for. They were super accommodating with a gluten and dairy allergy too. Don’t skip the pistachio martini!
