We tried Favazza’s around 1:30 p.m., so it wasn’t busy at all. Overall, it was just okay—an expensive, average experience. We started with the toasted ravioli, which was actually pretty good, nice, and crispy with a flavorful filling. For entrées, we had the manicotti, the pasta con broccoli with pink sauce, and the gluten-free shrimp with pasta, plus a dinner salad. Everything tasted fine, but nothing really stood out as exceptional, especially for the price.
We sat on the patio, which was unfortunately extremely loud—even with few people around, the noise echoed and made conversation difficult. Service was a real disappointment. Our waitress was not attentive and kept disappearing for long stretches, leaving us waiting for refills and check-ins.
In the end, it felt like we paid more than the quality and experience justified.
Known for its amazing flavors and accommodating allergen menu, this spot offers a bustling vibe with generous portions that delight everyone.

I absolutely love this place. We went here for my birthday because it has a lot of gluten-free options due to me having celiac. It was amazing and didnt disappoint

Super excited about the gluten free option.. however when someone asks minus the meat that doesn't mean minus the cheese and veg part. I fully understand the extra cost for gluten free, I minusd the piggy and the cheese, onion and fig was sparce in the calzone..very disappointed...
This spot offers a rich history, amazing value with generous portions, and a chill vibe perfect for a casual hangout.

CELIACS BEWARE!
This is a warning for anyone who truly needs a gluten free option. My wife ordered GF pasta after thoroughly discussing her GF needs to the waitress. They brought my wife her food, and when she was about half way done...someone from the kitchen comes to the table and tells her to stop eating.
She had almost eaten her fill, of gluten. My wife doesn't have Celiacs, but she is very intolerant of gluten. It puts her in bed for 3 days and causes a depression for at least a week. I know there is no one person to blame, but "they" hurt her. It's hard, and scary, enough to dine out with GF allergies. It doesn't happen much for us, we carefully choose where and what we eat. This was more than a let down for us. With that being said, I've loved the food for decades. I won't eat there again, because they hurt my wife.
Experience cozy vibes with attentive service; just be ready to splurge a bit for unique, carefully prepared options.

So cozy and relaxing. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable when questioned about gluten-free options. Explained to me the delay due to separate prep and cooking area. Brought my pizza out covered to protect it from cross contamination. It's worth the extra for the gluten-free options.

I really love going here. It's one of those little secrets because it's under the building next to Union Station and can easily be missed. Totally worth your time to drop in for some amazing food! I also really appreciate their gluten free menu actually has some nice offerings and isn't just a token effort.
Love my Papa Murphy's ! And the owners and staff are always great. They have gluten free crust pizza for my friend in need and I like trying out something different all the time. Fresh and yummy.
Amazing every time. Our salads were SO good, I could eat buckets of it! My wife and I split the Pasta di Alba. They made it gluten free for my wife and it was just to die for! We really love this place.
A cozy spot with a great atmosphere and attentive service, perfect for a laid-back dining experience without the noise.

This particular location of The Pasta House was particularly fabulous. It is smaller and has a great atmosphere. The noise level is not overwhelming. Additionally, our server got everything on point without writing a thing down. We did not have a simple order, either. My gluten-free Pasta Con Broccoli was the best I have had in years! Not watery! I highly recommend this location.
A fantastic spot for events with a cozy arcade setting and excellent service, making it perfect for gatherings and special occasions.

We recently had our wedding reception dinner here. Tim and his staff were attentive, considerate, and accommodating to our gluten-free guests. Our group sat in the arcade, which received a lot of compliments from our guests. When we arrived, pre-ordered food was ready. Tim communicated the entire way. The food was excellent! We will definitely be coming back soon for dinner.
Enjoy a vibrant atmosphere with unique dishes and fun events, making it a must-visit spot for locals and fans alike!

Katie’s is one of the best restaurants in STL! The service is awesome, atmosphere is great, and the food is phenomenal!
If you’re GF, Katie’s has the best GF pasta in STL. Their GF pizza is good but the pasta even had gluten eaters stealing my pasta!
Try the fiori arrabiatta with GF noodles and thank me later 😋

I have only had positive experiences here, the manager is aware of Celiac and cooks all the gluten free pasta in fresh water and clean pots. I have only ordered pasta (with my favorite being the Penne Ala Vodka) and have never been sick. I always tell my waiter I have a gluten allergy and for them to tell the chef!
A bustling spot with cozy vibes, excellent dishes, and standout seafood linguini—perfect for group gatherings or a casual night out.

This used to be my favorite place on the Hill, but I may not be going back. Had a birthday reservation and it took over 30 minutes for the table we reserved to be ready, causing our large group to wait stuffed together by the bar. When we checked on the table after 30 minutes and asked how long it would be, the front of house staff was very rude and said she had no estimate and told us we should just go wait in our cars. The food was excellent, but one person in our group ordered gluten free pasta due to intolerances and when the waiter brought out our food, he couldn’t remember which of the red pennes was the gluten free one. We had to ask him to go back to the kitchen to confirm after he tried to switch and say he was “positive” that the GF was one of the dishes. Because of the lateness of our table reservation we only had an hour to eat until close. The waitress gave us our checks before close, but we then had to wait 15 minutes for her to come back and take our credit cards because she and the other waiters were too busy flipping all the tables so they could go home rather than attend to us.
Rick’s picks score: 95/130
Gluten free options?: don’t be silly
Chicken Caesar wrap, fries
Burnt sesame white bread, rubbery and bland fries, hella good and spicy Caesar dressing.

Very CROWDED!! Luckily I had made reservations! Pizza was delicious, however crust was a little overcooked and hard in certain areas. (It was a gluten free pizza, and that seems to happen everywhere. ) Ron was singing and was terrific! A great place to go with friends!
Absolutely loved this place for dinner! Sara our server was incredible and made us feel right at home. One of the best meals I've ever had in St .Louis. Great gluten free options. We will be back soon!
Great service and really good food. The salmon piccata was pretty gluten-free and really tasty. Returned again! Seafood dish and veal were great. Wine was good (Chianti).
Enjoy a stunning patio with a Parisian vibe, perfectly set for a chill evening with great atmosphere and music to enhance your experience.

We have eaten here a few times, we live close by. The food and atmosphere are great! It's a little higher prices but always good. They don't offer gluten free pasta so I had the risotto, it was yummy!! They also have gluten free pizza that I have had and was happy with. The risotto was butternut squash, spinach and mushroom, very good! My fiancé had penne with shrimp and chicken, he said it was good too. I always enjoy my dinners here!
Expect a vibrant atmosphere with incredible flavors and outstanding service, perfect for a memorable dining experience!
