This was my first time visiting the restaurant. I was in town for a wedding and googled. Having celiac and egg allergy it not always easy to find a good place with good options, but I was amazed by the food here. I went back a couple time's before leaving. This is going to be my to go spot always when in SA. Staff were great, atmosphere is very cute and friendly and did I mention the food ....it was AMAZING, so delicious, great variety , it made me like a normal person enjoying food actual regular food and not having to worry about getting sick!!! A definite win!!!

This is my favorite restaurant! They have a discounted HH everyday (even on weekends) and has great mocktails. They have a staff is great and knowledgeable, everything is gluten free! They have a fried chicken strips are my favorite, along with the cashew queso & the Brussels.

As someone with celiac disease, finding safe and delicious gluten-free options can be a challenge, but Pondicheri absolutely delivers! Their menu has so many naturally gluten-free dishes, and the staff is knowledgeable and accommodating when it comes to dietary restrictions. It’s such a relief to enjoy incredible Indian-inspired food without worrying about cross-contamination. Everything I’ve tried has been packed with flavor, fresh, and so thoughtfully prepared. The atmosphere is also warm and inviting, making it a great spot for anything from a casual lunch to a special night out. I always have a lovely time here but writing this review to shout out our lovely sever Ariana. She was such a light and her energy made the experience that much better. The shrimp & grits is great and my friend who has a gluten allergy never has to worry when she comes here. 10 out of 10 will recommend.

The prices are fair and their menu has plenty of options. They serve gluten free bread ($1.50 extra) and gluten free pancakes {$1.50-$2.50 extra), which is always a bonus for me. I ordered the chicken pesto panini on GF bread with fries. The fries seemed like they could have been cooked a bit longer. My husband got David's enchiladas with cheese which he said tasted good. I'll come back to try their GF pancakes next time.

This place is a gem of Amarillo. It’s adorable, welcoming and feels like I’m stepping into the early 2000’s with the decorations. The staff feels welcoming and you can tell they really work as a team and acknowledge each other. The outdoor seating makes you feel like you’re not in the city. Thank you for having gluten free options- the gluten-free biscuits & gravy were among the best Iv ever had! The homemade sausage- a real surprise as how rich and deep the flavor was. Hats off to the chef & owner. Will be returning. Couldn’t give this place enough praise.

Snooze is my new go to for breakfast. So many options for gluten free (celiac). I’ve tried most of their pancakes all delicious not huge fan of the French toast (gf) it was dry to me.

This was a pretty neat place. My husband and I both enjoyed our food. They were able to accommodate my food sensitivities. The bee sting pancakes which are seasonal were really good. Was able to get them in gluten free. Their chicken sausage was good as well. My husband tried the pineapple upside down pancakes (not gluten free) and loved them. Looking forward to dining in again and trying other options

Nice breakfast spot with tasty options for those with gluten sensitivity or celiac. I ordered the pancake flight: gluten free, And it was some of the fluffiest and most amazing pancakes ever! Highly recommend the cinnamon roll and the strawberry cream one, it was an amazing experience over all.

I was really excited to try the Original Pancake House after reading positive reviews, especially about their gluten-free waffles. As someone with a severe gluten intolerance, I was eager to finally enjoy a decent GF waffle. When we arrived, I made sure to clearly specify my need for the gluten-free option when ordering. At first, everything seemed great. The waffles were delicious, and both my husband and I were impressed by how good they tasted, especially for a gluten-free version. However, a few bites in, I started feeling uncomfortable. At first, I thought maybe it was just me, but it quickly escalated. I had to rush to the restroom and realized something was very wrong. It turns out, after my husband checked with the waitress, we had actually been served regular, full wheat waffles—not the gluten-free ones I’d ordered. This is a huge issue, especially for anyone with serious gluten intolerance or allergies. It’s not just a minor mistake—this could have been dangerous. I am extremely disappointed, and this is something that should never happen, especially when dietary restrictions are clearly communicated. It’s hard to trust a place that can’t get something so basic right. I won’t be returning, and I’d advise others with gluten sensitivities to be cautious.

This was a decent breakfast place. They had gluten free options but the gf menu was dairy heavy so choices are limited if you have dietary restrictions. Portions are huge! And it’s a nice hearty southern comfort food spot.

The food is exceptional! However, it's really disappointing that they don't allow you to substitute toast/tortillas for anything else. If somebody is gluten intolerant or is avoiding grains, it's frustrating that they have to throw away money away because "we can only add another side."

Aiden was an energetic host and server that kept the coffee mugs full. The food was outstanding. The bake potatoe omlette was an unexpected yum (the green onions really made the flavor pop). My sister had plenty of gluten free options, her pancakes actually had flavor. Don't care for the diner look but I am old school. I miss the cozy home feel of the original location.

I wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone. I sat down with my family, and as we began looking over the menu, we saw that sugar-free syrup was an extra charge. I asked the waitress about this, and she responds, saying the owner charges for anything and everything "extra." I asked to speak with the manager prior to my family ordering. Upon asking the manager about this, I stated that it didn't matter how small or large the increase in price was this was unreasonable. I informed him that my son is a type 1 diabetic and this seems to me to be almost a punishment for a disease that literally no-one has control over. He responded and said that he understood he had celiacs disease and he had to pay more for his gluten free food. His words at the end of this statement was " it just is what it is." He stated it costed more to make the sugar free. I can understand that to an extent but that still brings me back to type 1's have absolutely no control with their disease happening to them. And they literally have to pay a cost every single second of every single day! Though both of these diseases are terrible and I hate for anyone to have to deal with either, their is no comparison! This is absolutely abysmal performance on the part of the owner and manager. Do better! We left and paid 13$ for three waters a coffee and a tea.

We love this breakfast location. The food is delicious and they offer a lot of options for gluten free. We appreciate the care shown by the management and our server, Desi, this morning for our gluten allergy family member. Desi was kind and offered patience when I ordered the wrong item. Clean restrooms and restaurant are a plus. We will return.

We LOVE this place, and it's become a staple in our restaurant rotations. Their food is delicious, and they are very consistent. I was blown away at how fluffy and yummy their gluten-free pancakes are - my favorite are the cinnamon roll ones! They offer a variety of yummy options in their menu. We love ordering the Sweet combo because it gives us a little bit of everything for breakfast/brunch. Their drinks are delicious, and their customer service is impeccable! Food arrives at the table pretty quickly and always hot! We love using they call ahead option, too - super convenient. We'll continue being loyal customers and recommend you give it a try!

The staff was very friendly. I was able to order gluten free pancakes, and have a dairy free omelette. The breakfast sausage patties tasted funny, but that probably brand preference. I chose the breakfast buffet, on Sunday. There is cross contamination, so if you are celiac, it wouldn't be safe. I have inflammatory arthritis.

Can’t say enough great things about Eggsquisite! We’re regulars and the staff is just top notch! Always super friendly and actually look like they enjoy being part of the team. As for the food… their breakfast is unparalleled. First-timers, order the gluten-free cinnamon swirl pancakes and thank me later!!! They’re 🤌🏼 and totally taste like they have all the gluten but don’t. Kick it up a notch by asking for a side of fresh whipped cream! 😋. Their lunch is exceptional too! Highly recommend!

My first visit here. I ordered the gluten-free waffle, scrambled eggs, sausage patties and mocha latte. The photos include a picture of poached eggs, waffle and bacon. The latte was delicious! It was rich with flavor and provided in a large mug. The sausage patties were really large and very tasty. The gluten-free waffle was wonderful! The scrambled eggs were not very good and lacked in seasoning. They tasted flat without flavor. The salt and pepper dispensers at our table were almost empty. The server, Luis D. was very attentive and made our visit go as smoothly as it did. I would come again, but would try the eggs in a different form.

This is a new brunch must for my husband and I! I recently became gluten free and had the BEST GF pancakes I’ve had yet. They also can make almost any menu item GF. My mother in law is also Vegan and said her pancakes were also incredible. The service was great. The vibe was awesome. They have indoor and outdoor seating as well. Beacon Cafe breakfast is delicious. In addition to a full menu for all, their gluten free pancakes are incredible. Their flavored coffees rival the drive through coffee spots. I wish more people knew about this hidden gem.

The gluten free pancakes are AMAZING! I love having the option of going here. I have celiac’s and have not gotten sick after eating here. They have a pastry chef who has his own recipe for the pancakes. They are soft and fluffy. Strawberry banana and cinnamon roll pancakes are such a treat. I eat half there and take the other half home to eat for dinner. Don’t forget to get the fresh squeezed orange juice to drink. Dio was a great server too!

I did not have a great experience at this restaurant. While the food was good and I was able to make substitutions for a gluten free eggs benedict, the service was barely acceptable. I don't have high standards for service, but my server would talk without letting me respond and walk away. While I don't know what was going on in the back, the restaurant was not busy and the other servers were not rushing around. The server handed me the check with my food and ran, did not bring items I requested, did not check on me, and again would speak then run off without letting me respond. Overall I did not have a good experience here. I may be getting only takeout in the future.

Today came in & ordered the calamari as brunch. We’ve ordered it many times before and most of the time it’s good but today half of it was so overcooked that it was completely hard and inedible not to mention the way that impacts flavor of what was edible. Barely ate 4 ounces of normal sized calamari slices cooked properly. Visually you could see that it was way overcooked and crumbly, I’m not sure why it would be sent out. Sadly this isn’t the first time our meal preparation accuracy and quality has been inconsistent when we’ve come in to order various items on the menu. We’ve kept trying because we are gluten free but after today it will likely be even longer before we return again.

The atmosphere is wonderful and modern. I love the touch of plant life that is everywhere, although it is fake. There is an outdoor seating area, but I can't comment on how it was because it was cold outside, so everybody was inside. The service was a 9 out of 10, the missing additional point having nothing to do with our waitress (kitchen staff), who was wonderful & deserves a raise; I wish I remembered her name. I got the lemon poppy seed pancakes made gluten-free (GF) and the crispy breakfast potatoes. The pancakes were some of the best gluten-free pancakes I've ever had and I had absolutely zero reaction to them. Things were a bit more on the pricey side- it was $5 for a side of bacon & $6 for a side of 1 pancake. However the portions were pretty big. I only stopped by because I was in the area, but if I'm ever in town again I will definitely come here.
