We were looking for a solution for gluten free food in Bologna. The Vecchio Mercato restaurant met the requirements because it is an AIC certified restaurant. We came at different times for lunch. Let's start by saying that the pasta they offer is all homemade. There are appetizers, first and second courses, both meat and fish and finally also desserts and ice creams, always made by them and NOT packaged. We took some aubergine appetizers (croquettes, parmigiana and rolls) all with excellent flavor and tasty enough to make you want to have more. But let's go slowly. The first ones. The maccheroncini with bacon and the very tasty Bolognese balanzoni gave no hint of a different flavor compared to a dish made with classic flours. Huge portions!!!! Here too, for the flavor (and if there had been some room in the stomach) we would have taken another portion. The seconds. The bacon with a bed of polenta cooked to perfection, balanced in flavor and very tender meat, so much so that it could be cut with a fork and finally the Petroniana cutlet. Well, do you know ceramic trays? Well it was full of meat, here too cooked to perfection and loaded with ham (for those who know it, you know what I'm talking about) we struggled to finish it!! And finally the desserts... I repeat, the difference with those made with wheat flour is absolutely not noticeable! The staff, knowledgeable and kind, made us feel at home, even recommending dishes, which turned out to be excellent advice on pairings! A 10 out of 10 for the Vecchio Mercato!

Our first need was to find a pizzeria that cooked gluten-free pizzas and the Due Lune restaurant has a double menu for celiacs and is an AIC restaurant. The pizzas with and without gluten are excellent, as is the service, friendly and fast staff. The place is large and due to the large tables the environment sometimes becomes a bit noisy but if the company is good and the food is good too, you don't notice. Well done!

The place is aesthetically satisfying, the staff is very courteous and prepared. The dishes we had the opportunity to taste were truly a high-level sensory experience (especially the seafood amatriciana was truly surprising for the intensity of the flavor despite the simplicity of the ingredients) I particularly appreciated the sensitivity towards gluten intolerance and the variety of menu offered. It is possible to order gluten-free dishes (AIC), which is essential for me. Finally I was able to eat tigelle and fried dumplings too, very happy! We had lunch in this restaurant for my graduation, the food was delicious, from the pizzas to the first courses and also the desserts, the staff was very kind, and the place was very welcoming. The gluten-free cuisine is reliable and is effectively gluten-free and contamination-free, as unfortunately does not happen in other restaurants. Even though we were a little late due to some problems and with lunch we exceeded the closing time of the restaurant, the staff was still very kind and helpful in understanding the situation, without making us feel it in any way. A DOC trattoria! A magnificent thing in the times of a restaurant now full of superfluous trifles! Fantastic cappelletti with asparagus and ham! An absolutely good and varied fried food! Everything was then gluten-free due to my partner's needs! All really authentic and really good! I highly recommend this place for celiacs like me! I ate really well. everything was delicious!! the dish I had chosen was strozzapreti with prawn and courgette sauce, a nice portion, but then everything was gluten-free. I had lunch today with my partner who is celiac and allergic to lactose returning from Carpaneto! Let me start by saying that I know the place, as it is an AIC certified restaurant, you are on the safe side! After a hot starter of seafood salad, my partner ate a spectacular mixed fried dish and I ate salmon with peach and pistachio! To finish, I had a pistachio tiramisu and she had a homemade semifreddo, like most of the foods! I never put the price but I say right in proportion to the quality! Believe me, don't take it for granted that an Aic restaurant offers safety and quality! Family lunch on Sunday 12/15/2024, booked several days ago. There to also celebrate their daughter's graduation. By phone everything is ok for gluten-free, at the moment the only option is to order only rice apart from gnocchi and burnt tigelle. I discovered a fantastic place in Rimini, between Piazza Cavour and Castel Sismondo, which offers piadinas based on their own cold cuts of fish. The products are delicious and the owner is friendly and helpful. The prices are very honest and they even have gluten-free options! I honestly don't understand all these negative reviews!! fast service, environment with soft lights, which I prefer to bright lights, the music was there but with normal volume and good pizza... there are also gluten-free pizzas and with lactose-free mozzarella so also a choice for celiacs like me. Wide choice of desserts. Advise!!!!! To those who say there is confusion, if you want silence, stay at home, don't go to a restaurant 😂

I have known La Grattugia since the days when the place was in Villa Aiola. Excellent dishes, good service and a wide choice for celiacs. Very nice place but with a notable acoustic problem, when it's full you can't talk to your neighbor other than shouting and this, from my point of view, is a big problem... better in the summer outdoors!
