A local neighborhood gem. We continue to come back here time after time for the ambiance, authentic Italian food, and excellent service. It is a mix of cozy vibes and energetic spirt, with wine flowing and energetic conversations around you (but acoustics never too loud)
Carmine (the owner) puts his heart & soul into this place, and hires the absolute best people. If you come here, ask for Anastasia for the some incredible food & wine recommendations.
Bonus: gluten free pasta and pizza!
A go-to spot for delicious plant-based fare with unique dishes, outdoor seating perfect for people-watching, and a kosher certification.

Went here for lunch while visiting NYC recently. There were a lot of options for someone vegetarian and gluten free, but even more choice if you can eat gluten. There aren't many/any root vegetables on the menu but what is on the menu is really tasty. I had a brown rice bowl, my friend had the golden beet salad. Both were plenty of food for a lunch. The key lime pie was refreshing. We were able to sit outside, which made for good people watching.
A vibrant spot in NYC with a charming atmosphere and attentive service, perfect for a memorable brunch or a delightful meal out.

This restaurant was just amazing! I have a gluten allergy and unlike most restaurants they actually offer gluten free bread to the table. And the bread is homemade garlic bread. This really was probably the best bread I have ever had. It was restaurant week when we came so I ordered a salad off of the menu and it was great! I really do recommend this place it’s great and they are soooo good with allergies!
A vibrant neighborhood spot known for its delicious homemade pasta, unique brussels sprouts, and a cozy patio, perfect for a lively meal.

Delicious food! A bit noisy, but overall very good food! And the waiter was helpful and knowledgeable about the gluten intolerance and he gave us some nice options.

Went out for dinner on a Friday night, and after a very rude manager sort of tanked the vibes of the meal, Yun was nice enough to give us a $50 credit over the phone for our next meal. Overall, I enjoyed the crazy peanuts, the mains are fair, and both our servers were lovely. Gluten free options as well. Thank you Yun for your fabulous customer service and hopefully that manager was just having an off day :)
BEST COFFEE IN MANHATTAN, NEW YORK ! My wife and I were in Manhattan, New York for an 8 day vacation staying at the Hotel Beacon on Broadway not far from this cafe. Good coffee shops are hard to find..exceptional ones even harder ! After very average coffees on Saturday and Sunday in Manhattan we knew there had to be better. My wife found this Bluestone Lane location online and this place was going to be our first port of call early on Monday morning. In fact it was just a 10 minute walk here discovering fun new places along the way like a French bakery we later visited. When we arrived around 8.30am the staff were all wearing facial masks ( in New York City it was mandated to wear facial masks in public etc during our stay ) but we still felt their happy smiles. We were offered to sit at a table inside the very cosy cafe. A happy very interesting server named Matthew ( we assumed he was the manager ) came over to say hi. There was a QR Code menu stuck on the table top but these guys also had a very sophisticated online ordering system off their own website. We were still getting used to some East Coast terminologies as we discussed with Matt the type of coffee we should order...a Flat White ( Aussie term we don't hear in Southern California ), a Latte ( always our fav back home ) or a Cappuccino ( which Matthew recommended as the model they made which suited our tastes the best ). We went with 2 x CAPPUCCINOS ! Sticking with their digital ordering system displayed on our iPhones my wife went with SCRAMBLED EGGS, BACON & TOAST with Jam ( thick multigrain gluten free too ) while I wanted HARD POACHED EGGS, BACON & TOAST with VEGEMITE ( that's when we realized there must be an AUSSIE CONNECTION here ). Of course Matthew had earlier introduced himself as an expat West Australian and a working theatre actor. We were informed that an Aussie ( from Melbourne ) named Nick Stone started Bluestone Lane on the West Coast a few years ago. HOW COOL ! After further research on Wiki we discovered that Bluestone Lane has cafes & coffee shops at 51 locations all over the USA. Our incredible looking Cappuccinos arrived courtesy of Matthew who made them perfectly. WOW there was something special going on here...our cappuccinos tasted as good as anything anywhere anytime ! So good we later bought a 12oz bag of Maverick whole roasted coffee beans ( their house blend ) to take home. Our breakfast order arrived thanks to Meriel the food runner and looked so cute...plated individually ( because every item was ordered as a side ). WHOOPEE...I had been having VEGEMITE withdrawal symptoms after just 3 days away from home. BREAKFAST WAS SENSATIONAL...my hard poached eggs were perfect, the delicate delicious strips of bacon were like prosciutto. My wife totally enjoyed her perfect texture scrambled eggs and loved the wispy bacon like me. The thick multigrain toast ( 2 slices ) was delicious with vegemite or jam. We came back here every morning for breakfast or just coffees. All the staff we interacted with here ( Matthew, Rachel, Matt, Sylvie, Amanda..an Aussie from Sydney, Bryan & Meriel were SUPER FRIENDLY and provided EXCELLENT SERVICE every visit. Most coffee shops in the USA which we have encountered copy the Starbucks dumb down model..take your order at the counter and then yell out your name to come & get it in a paper cup...not Bluestone Lane who know how to pamper you at your table. It's like going to see your personal coffee therapist...you leave feeling REAL GOOD every time !
Their gluten free savory crepes are delicious and very filling. Service was excellent. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting crepes, esp a gluten free one!

Excellent! Love their gluten free options, the spicy chicken banh mi is my favorite. Love supporting a local small business too, staff is great. Highly recommend.
I sometimes have to eat gluten free because of my wife. Unfortunately the GF crust just wasn’t that good. Not sure there is GF crust in NY that gets even close to the original crust. I didn’t try the regular pizza but it looked great!
Food is great, portions are big, and they are great with allergies! I have Celiac disease and am incredibly sensitive to gluten and didn't get sick at all when eating here.

I chose this restaurant because multiple reviews mentioned they had gluten-free options. That turned out to be completely false. When my husband asked about gluten-free choices, the server was not only dismissive but also acted like they had no idea what gluten-free even meant. They made no effort to check or offer alternatives, and the overall attitude felt unwelcoming.
On top of that, they were not accommodating at all when I mentioned my dietary restrictions. It was clear they had no interest in helping us find something safe to eat. We were also the only people of color in the restaurant, and the way we were treated compared to other guests did not go unnoticed.
If you have any dietary restrictions, I’d highly recommend avoiding this place. The lack of knowledge, the rude service, and the unwillingness to help made this a terrible experience. Definitely not worth the hype.
The staff shines with exceptional service, and the smoky chicken dish stands out amid a solid meal experience, though the heat could be improved.

The staff is bar the best asset at this establishment. Every single person we dealt with went out of their way to accommodate us and make us happy. Literally every single staff member, they were amazing.
Their toasted chili sauce is divine.
They worked diligently to ensure the member of our party with Celiac disease was offered safe options, and when serving the dishes, they were careful to point out which would be good for them to eat vs. which would not.
The staff was also careful to advise us to mind the little dried red peppers cooked with one of the dishes; I have to assume some people must have had a bad reaction, because the peppers seemed pretty normal as far as hot dried red peppers go. IYKYK.
The food was good, but not make me want to rub it on myself good. It was good, but not amazing.
Perhaps with the exception of the smoked crispy skin chicken situation, which made the meal worthwhile.
All of the dumplings we sampled were very tasty, as was the multi-spice chicken dish we had, though for me, I needed a little salt to really brighten it up.
The reason for the not so great rating regarding atmosphere... We visited in the beginning of July and more robust air conditioning would have made things much more comfortable, and we were not the only group to be off put by the heat and humidity.
Overall, this was a solid experience with marvelous service. I would definitely go back, I just might not go totally out of my way to do it.
Ended up having dinner and Sunday brunch here in one weekend and enjoyed my experience both times. Waiters were well informed and helpful about gluten free options, and service was good. The place gets super crowded so even though it’s large reservations are a must. They just opened a sister restaurant called Asset a few blocks away to handle overflow.
Great spot for a tasty bagel on the go, perfect for a bite before exploring Central Park or the nearby museum.

Gluten Free Bagel
First time in my life a gluten free bagel, I asked for advice considering my little experience in the matter, I took classic bagels, salmon, cioole, tomato and spreadable cheese. Delightful!!! Then I had a second one with bacon, eggs and avocado.

Julia and Alex curated the perfect menu for my family and me. We were blown away by the 6 course tasting menu, catered to each of our tastes, including gluten free substitutions. We’ll certainly be back to this gem on the upper west side.
Amazing Reuben sandwich which they were able to make on Gluten Free Bread. Experienced no illness from it. Was an incredible amount of food and was absolutely lovely. Coffee regularly topped up and friendly service. 1 star knocked off because when we went back for pancakes and French toast a day later it wasn't quite the same experience. The pancakes were a bit bland. Would definitely go back for another sandwich though and the omlettes other people had looked amazing.

We went here last winter and loved the food and excellent customer service. This time the new menu wasn’t as good, the music was so loud the waiter and we could barely hear each other, and my family sat in silence the whole meal after giving up trying to talk to each other. I have food allergies, and while menu items are marked as gluten free, veg or vegan which I appreciated, they were not at all accommodating when I asked whether the brown sauce could be left off the garlic shrimp or if cucumbers could be left out of the pho. Its also possible it was a language issue because the waiter barely spoke any English which made it challenging. The only gluten free options were all spicy. When I asked the waiter how spicy the curry dishes were he said they were “mild, a 2 or 3.” It turned out to be so spicy I couldn’t eat it. I told him and he just shrugged and said sorry. Others in my family enjoyed the appetizers and were relatively happy with their meals. FYI, they offer some vegetarian appetizers, but only 2-3 entree choices for vegetarians.
Prepare for an unforgettable experience where delicious dishes bring joy and the diverse menu offers something for everyone!

Salumeria Rosi is our go to place when we come to the City. We love how quaint it is and the food is delicious. Nicole treats us like family. Chef Lorenzo and his kitchen staff are always whipping up new specials. The gluten free pasta is delicious. I recommend the gnocchi and the lasagna. We bring our friends and family with us so they can experience this little treasure on the UWS. Making a reservation beforehand is always a good idea.

Ate dinner here for the first time and the food is amazing. Layers of flavors and sophisticated menu options. I had the braised organic chicken with capers and currants and flourless chocolate cake for dessert as I’m gluten free. Delish. Will definitely be back.
This place is amazing!!! The staff was great. I did a mistake when I ordered online and the guy there was so friendly and understanding. I got the gluten free Luke’s trio. It’s so good, the rolls are buttery and well stuffed and the blueberry lemonade with honey went perfect with it. Can’t wait to go back!

Excellent bakery. Somewhat pricey but delicious food. Free tap water is provided.
Their Cruller is a crossover between a doughnut and a churro. It's delicious. My wife had a gluten-free salmon and avocado, and she described the bun as very tasty, which is not a given in the gluten-free space.
Modern interior. You can sit inside and outside on the sidewalk. Wheelchair accessible. Restrooms on-site are clean but probably not wheelchair accessible, given the tight door.
I can recommend without hesitation. We will visit again.
Such a great UWS coffee shop. Quite a bit of seating in the back, although it can get pretty crowded. Their gluten free baked goodies are amazing if they have them in stock when you're there!

Our favorite bakery in the neighborhood! Absolute must-try items include: kouign-amann (an unbelievable sweet treat that I had never before encountered), chocolate raspberry croissant (the buttery croissant complements the jam splendidly), and tiramisu (I've never been a fan of traditional tiramisu but this gluten-free version is amazing). The weekend-only baguettes make the best sandwiches and their chocolate chip cookies are, imho, better than Levain! And don't forget the savory ham, egg, and cheese croissant sandwiches that melt in your mouth and are far better than any other breakfast sandwich around. Lucky to be a local and can't recommend enough to those visiting the neighborhood. Enjoy!

Excellent food and service!
The menu is slightly different and more creative than a typical Turkish restaurant. Everything we ordered was delicious. The lamb shank and the pistachio mud pie was to die for.
My mother had gluten allergy and they were very accommodating.
Will definitely go back!
