Ranch Camp is part bike store, part restaurant/bar. I want to spend more time at both. To sound like a nerd, the thing that grabbed the most of my attention was the stylish nature of some of the bike helmets. I noticed this before I took a gander at the menu.
The menu, the menu! Two different selections of fries made it a hard choice to pick only one carb, but the Friendly Fries were a definite win. The two different dipping sauces that came with the Friendly Fries were great. The sweet potato fries were fried and salted to taste, and provided an excellent platform to deliver the flavor sauces that came with it.
The portion size of the food is something to write about and notice. The Cobb Salad was healthy, designed for afternooners who are coming back from a hike or a bike ride. The pulled chicken, along with the bacon, gave it good texture along with the rest of the salad.
Gluten-free options were available, and their drink selection provided a few options for the person who is gluten-conscious. I'd say that it's hard for a business to run two separate functions, but somehow, Ranch Camp does it.
One last thing before you finish reading, if you plan on staying in the Stowe area for longer than 3 days, you may want to come back here to try some of the other menu items. It all looked so good...
I loved everything about this place!! As a diner with celiac disease there were several options and my server and the team were very intentional about handling my dietary restriction with care. The atmosphere was great! The decor was like a mini buffet for the eyes. The food was absolutely delicious too.
A place that advertises an entirely separate GF oven and has vegan cheese sounds perfect for our family. But their GF dough is made of wheat starch, which is NOT sufficiently free of protein for many with celiac and anyone with allergies. No sense having a dedicated space if you are using ingredients that quite possibly contain gluten (speaking as a health professional who has done the research on wheat starch ppm of gluten). Only other item available for me on the menu was a $10 "salad" of just greens...which came salted?!...and the salty cured meat appetizers. Huge huge let down. Please avoid if you are wheat or gluten free.
Craving an exceptional burger, Worthy Burger is an absolute must-visit. This spot consistently delivers on flavor and quality, making it a local favorite.
The burgers and fries are simply outstanding. The patties are juicy and cooked to perfection, and even if you prefer a straightforward order like I do, you'll appreciate the quality. For those who like to customize, Worthy Burger offers a surprisingly wide array of options, ensuring there's something for every palate. For those with dietary needs, they offer delicious gluten-free buns, a huge plus that makes their fantastic burgers accessible to even more people.
Beyond the food, the atmosphere at Worthy Burger adds to the experience. During the warmer months, you can enjoy your meal at their outdoor seating, taking in the Vermont air. If you're looking for a slightly more sheltered option that still feels open, their screened-in porch is a fantastic choice.
The ordering system is straightforward and efficient: you simply order everything at the bar, and they'll bring your food right to your table. This casual, laid-back approach fits the vibe perfectly.
Worthy Burger is a fantastic spot for a delicious and satisfying meal. Whether you're a purist or love to experiment with toppings, and especially if you need a gluten-free option, you won't be disappointed.
Beer and cider selection is great.
Gluten-free friendly! They have a separate fryer for their fries and chicken nuggs 👍 amazing beer selection with an awesome selection of rotating Hill Farmstead beers on tap
Incredibly friendly and informative staff with an amazing atmosphere. They offer a wide range of gluten-free options, including bread and pasta substitutions. All of the food and drinks were top-tier. I could not recommend this place more.
Went here for lunch while on a friend’s bachelorette trip. Really delicious food. Great gluten free options as well as vegetarian/vegan options (celiac friendly). Great service, everyone was really friendly. Cool vibes. Definitely recommend!
Good drinks and food. Ordered the gluten free mushroom pizza and it didn’t taste like cardboard or sadness. Forgot to take a photo because I was famished. Would order again!
My experience at this restaurant was one of the best I have ever had. The service was outstanding. Gabby, Our server understood that I had a dairy allergy and a gluten intolerance and catered to that specifically this has been the first restaurant that I have not had to return food for A server not paying attention to the order. Gabby‘s passion for her job was shown through her smile and Positive vibes She carries.
Our first visit to Vermont in a long whole for my wife and I and the first place we visited for dinner was The Whip, and we could not have been more pleased and satisfied with our experience. Excellent service, excellent food. Many Gluten Free and Dairy Free choices, very accommodating and the food is great. My wife who does not share the same dietary restrictions absolutely loved dining here. I highly recommend.
Amazing on all fronts. Tons of dishes that are/can be vegan and/or gluten free. Do not miss the mock eel; I was skeptical but i promise you will be happy. I can’t even remember everything we ordered but every dish was delicious and had a unique flair. It was fun to have it family style and try so many things!
I was very happy to see the gluten friendly menu. Our wAIt staff was exceptional. The atmosphere is very interesting. if you get a chance, visit the upstairs rest rooms lots of history there!
I had the gluten free chicken pad Thai and it was delicious. My daughter had GF sushi. Both meals were gluten free and so good. The waiter and receptionist knew about gluten allergy and they were able to advice us on what we can and can’t eat. The rest of my family’s and friends had hibachi and I heard it was also very good. The servings are really big. We also had strawberry mochis for desert, also gluten free. Service was very good.
We were visiting from the UK and found everywhere busy as it was a Friday night and we hadn't booked. We waited about 20 mins for a table. Very friendly and accommodating staff, very personal. Good menu selection with good gluten free options. Ollie our server was amazing as was the manager. I had pulled pork in a gluten free bun & yummy fries, (amazing). Steakhouse burger and Chipotle chicken sandwich both with fries, Pumpkin pie (wow!), ice-cream.Beer & coke. Check was $82 plus tip.
Overall, amazing experience and delicious food. Would definitely recommend.🙂
My girlfriend and I were coming back home to NY from a day of skiing at Okemo and were craving some good food. We found The Publyk House while searching for locations on our route home. It looked good, the menu options looked great, and decided to stop. We weren't exactly dressed for dinner out, but no one commented and everyone was extremely friendly and cordial. The atmosphere and volume of the dining area we sat in (just past the hostess' podium) was perfect. There was a rustle and bustle, but not so loud that we couldn't still talk quietly between ourselves and still be heard.
She ordered a Pomegranate and Lemon Drop cocktail, I ordered the Rumchata Iced Latte. Both were quite enjoyable. For an appetizer, we opted for the Baked Brie (with Gluten Free option Crostini) which considering the chill of the day, hit the spot so perfectly. For our main meals, she ordered the surf-and-turf style sirloin tips, medium rare, with baked potato. I ordered the Hawaiian Chicken; both came with a fresh baked mini loaf of bread and the Publyk House's own maple butter, as well as a salad bar which we absolutely loved. The salad bar had just enough offerings to let us make it our own, while not having so many options to be overwhelming.
Our waitress, Alyssa, was positively great at her job. She seemed just between boisterous and happily familiar with us, just excited to serve us and make us feel welcomed, she was also attentive to us, but not overbearing.
While eating, the employee responsible for the kitchen was on the floor to answer a question about an item and if it was Gluten Free. Later on, I saw that same employee in the back smiling and laughing with the other staff. It's a sign of a great workplace and environment when things run well, and the staff get along. Overall this was a fantastic experience, and we plan to make this place a regular stop!
Best Gluten Free crust in the area. Love the Green Mountain Pizza - ask for a side of syrup if you like it sweet. Always have Hill Farmstead Beers on tap. Can eat outside on the lawn on nice days in the summer.
We hired trail break for a 110 person party at our farm. WOW did they deliver! The food was superb and the guests kept talking about it. It worked great for the variety of allergies and dietary preferences guests had. Tacos are easily gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian and great for omnivores! The drinks were awesome - without us even asking they had a hard-to-get beer that had the guests excited. The mixed drinks were bangin' too! The staff were so friendly and attentive. I'd hire TrailBreak again for sure.
A true gem! Gluten free and dairy free options! Wonderful place for celiac to enjoy great food and drink pairings. Portions are small similar to tapas. The ambiance was just right!
One of the best experiences. I have celiac and this restaurant has the best GF dishes I ever tried. They say gf . I got tuna with coconut rice with mango sauce and my husband also Gf dish sirloin tips with onion rings and brousels sprout in a maple sauce…. SOOOO DELICIOUS! My kids had the best fish and chips. And the view was amazing as well as the service. My lemoncello martini was the best I had. All so perfect
The owner was accommodating and created a welcoming environment. Food and drinks were amazing. Waitresses/Waiters were helpful and provided excellent service, everyone was great. My girlfriend and I are Gluten Free and they were very accommodating. Atmosphere was great, place was very clean.
Went for breakfast and was a very cute and quaint place. Had Bloody Mary (house made mix spicy side and very hearty), coffee and a gluten free sweet potato crust broccoli cheese quiche. Great service and cute little place. Definitely brekkie worthy
Went here with my children, their pineapple rice is good but I found that the food wasn't that wonderful and they don't like to substitute anything, even for my gluten free daughter, also they were very pricey.
The staff was pleasant. The menu offered a variety of entrees that our family of 5 could appreciate. That said, meals were VERY disappointing and the quality of food was lacking. We did not finish our meals and did not feel the need to take leftovers home.
Per menu:
Mongolian Beef
LaPlatte Farm skirt steak marinated in a sweet and spicy hoisin-oyster sauce, sautéed with confit peppers & onions, broccolini, served with basmati rice and topped with scallions and house pickled hot peppers GLUTEN FREE.”
The LaPlatte beef was sadly way over cooked, sauce was very salty, and the only identifiable vegetable in the dish was one sprig of broccolini.
The Fish and Chips should be served on a smaller tray for presentation purposes. There were two small pieces of fish and a handful of chips served on a large metal tray.
Bottom line is the quality and flavor of the food was poor and way too expensive for what it was.
I love to give 4-5 star reviews but was embarrassed to have recommended this restaurant to the group. Huge buyers remorse.
Love the ambience. Poke bowl was excellent. Gluten free friend was thrilled at nearly a 90% gluten-free menu. Service was very good. Parking on street. Only downfall was that the fries were barely lukewarm. Maybe I should have said something...
Must come if you are gluten free! Great GF options and cross contamination procedures. They even have a dedicated fryer! We had a large party and our server was great, everyone enjoyed their food and cocktails.
Great food, drinks and staff. They're very knowledgeable when it comes to helping navigate gluten free options, and they have a delicious GF bun for burgers and sandwiches!
A great experience. Everything was delicious. The waitress (Jennifer) was fun and friendly. They were able to accommodate one of our party's gluten intolerance. Would go back!
Pretty nice menu with interesting things. Server was lovely and was really helpful about gluten allergy. Food was good. Pretty busy with a lot of tables of kids when we visited, so definitely loud but overall enjoyable.
After an absence of easily 10 years, we decided to go to Casey's Caboose and I can't say how happy I was afterwards. It was nice to reminisce with the caboose and think back to taking our kids and sitting in the upper berth for dinner. Anyway, this visit was superb. Keisha was an excellent server and very muchly tuned in to food allergies. She accommodated a side salad (excellent) subbed for fries. The burger was perfect and the gluten free bun was toasted perfection. Probably the best burger I've had on the access road. My wife's chicken teriyaki sandwich was thumbs up. I'm kinda sorry we waited so long.... can't wait to go back!! Recommended for anyone with celiac and dining out concerns.
I have been here several times and each time the food, ambiance, and service is superb. Dinner last night was beautiful. We had Asiago Cup Salad, Caesar Salad, and side salad for appetizers and all were perfect. I wish we could buy the asiago cups!! Dinner rolls were served piping hot and wonderful. The entrees were divine! For the first time I tried one of their pizza's, (the Portobello) and the meatiness of the mushrooms were very well balanced by lemon zest--- a combination I have never seen before. My dad greatly enjoyed his steak, and the server Dawn perfectly recommended a gluten-free combination for my Mother that met her VERY strict standards (this is a woman that is nearly impossible to impress at restaurants). Can't wait to go back soon!
Poutine, speciality Gose and some of their IPA’s were fantastic! Service great, it is odd that they charge you 25¢ for a taster, and don’t let you pick your own flights. Their pre-set flights are very expensive. No gluten free beer options.
Gender neutral bathrooms and plenty of parking.
Ribs are always good and everything else is on point , curbside pick up is convenient, we have ordered several times and will again, plenty of gluten free also, alright thanks people.
Amazing! The bacon wrapped shrimp app and the chili mac & cheese were awesome and they were able to accommodate my gluten free diet with tacos and grilled fish, so good!
I'll start by saying the food was amazing! Small portions. The hand rolls were itty bitty. No labels for allergens, not very accommodating for gluten-friendly/ dairy-free. The (unposted price) $25 martinis were much smaller than any typical martini I've ever ordered, which I do often. The glassware was odd and different, as if to throw us off that we weren't seemingly getting 3/4 of a full drink. Also, it was a birthday event...I asked if they do anything fun for a birthday, while he was in the bathroom, and the bartender nodded and then brought out a plate with happy birthday written in chocolate, a small scoop of ice cream and a small piece of chocolate cake or similar. Great, right...!...Except the nearly $20 that we were CHARGED FOR! Ridiculous overpriced. Note for the restaurant: when someone asks if you do something for a bday, at least tell them it's an option to PAY FOR. Didn't even receive an itemized receipt. Very deceiving. Will not be returning to this spot.
Burger was awesome! Gluten-free bun was delicious and did not fall apart like they usually do. I scarfed it down before I could even get a photo.
Vibes were excellent and loved the decor.
