The best gluten-free croissant I've ever eaten: tasty, light and crumbly. The laboratory is super stocked with sweet and savory dishes: from cakes, brioches and biscuits to pizzas and focaccias, all at excellent prices. I absolutely recommend it!!
I took my coeliac partner here and we were completely blown away by the amazing food that we had! From arancini to croissants, everything was delicious. My partner had never had such a range of pastries to choose from that he decided to try everything available. It was all fantastic and the staff were lovely. If you are in Milan please go and try this bakery out!
All very good.
We bought a cake for a graduation and some stuffed sandwiches, focaccias, pizzas...
Even those who don't have problems with gluten appreciated it.
Everyone really liked the cake and in addition to being good it was also very beautiful.
Compliments to all the staff
New experience for us in this pastry shop found by chance in the area, perhaps the location may not be the best but the products are delicious, truly tasty and quality. The berry cake/tart with almond paste filling, truly delicious. Furthermore, the products are also gluten-free. I recommend it
We wanted to go make a crepe, and ended up making a salad and a very complete omelet. The best thing, everything with gluten-free options. Highly recommended.
Excellent pizza, well cooked and generously stuffed. You can also order gluten-free ones. Gluten-free cake made on request, delicious. It's a shame that there aren't also dishes as an alternative to pizza.
The managers are very kind
We had dinner on a Saturday evening in this simple but clean place, friendly staff, fast service. We chose a keto base (dough made of flaxseed flour, psyllo and aloe, + 5 euros), a gluten-free one (rice flour only + 3 euros) and a pizza with Altamura dough (durum wheat semolina + 2 euros): the
first two bases despite not being gods
real leavened products were cooked and well suited to the chosen flavors (sausage and broccoli/spicy summer). The Altamura fiery red flavor was well cooked, crunchy and thin. Overall, a great experience, worth repeating. Drinks including water 3.50, gluten-free chocolate salami 6 euros, cover charge 2 euros

A surprise! We almost thought we were in the wrong place: Friday night, very few people...instead delicious pizzas, lots of choice on the menu, kind and attentive staff, especially for those like us who have a celiac child: their gluten free burger was really good!!
Top gluten-free pizza, great attention and accuracy, oven aside, definitely worth trying, I recommend it! Unfortunately I don't have the photo, I was too hungry❤️
Truly super! My partner and I, who follow a certain type of diet, are always happy to find places like this, where we can eat quality products cooked well! Delicious desserts, without butter, with cane sugar, vegan, lactose-free, gluten-free. Everything we ate was delicious, and the price is absolutely in line with the location and the products! The very kind service. We will be back and will definitely recommend it.
I had a really good breakfast here. There are both sweet and savoury options, all gluten-free. I also managed to take home a chocolate panettone. It was delicious!
The place is absolutely not suitable for celiacs and gluten intolerant people.
Contacted by email, before attending a birthday party, they say they have a gluten-free offer.
Once there, we discover that the gluten-free offer is slices of salami and half a mini burger.
I took food elsewhere to allow my son to have dinner as well as the other participants.
No place is obliged to offer gluten-free options, but it is enough to say it clearly, celiacs find little/nothing here.
Unavailable and annoying staff.
I went to this little place on Saturday night and I really appreciated it. Vegan food, many gluten-free and lactose-free options of course. Quite a wide choice of foods and all the ones we tried were tasty and inviting. Before choosing what to eat you can also see the dishes at a rotisserie-style counter. The single course option for €12 allows you to taste different things. Other than that I split a couple of appetizers and three desserts. I spent €18. Great price and I left very satisfied. I recommend it to vegans and non-vegans (I'm not).
A cozy atmosphere and big portions. But the pizza dough seemed ready-made, and we were a bit underwhelmed as we continued to eat. All of a sudden, I found a hair that was very clearly not mine inside the pizza. The waiter offered to replace the pizza or give me something else to eat, but we had all lost our appetites then. We were also a bit stunned that the waiter didn't seem bothered about it. No surprised face or "sorry about that". Plus points for gluten-free alternatives, but we would perhaps classify this as more of a tourist trap than real italian ristorante.
Very positive experience. Great service. Delicious food. The gluten-free pasta is excellent; you can hardly tell it apart from regular pasta. Water is free.
The quality is very high, a short distance from the laboratory there is both the resale of gluten free products and the delicatessen.
The service and experience depends a lot on who is at the checkout. I found the correct prices for the area and for the artisanal product.

I've been going to this place for many years, I've always had a great meal! They have proposals of all kinds, from the most traditional to the most original, all very good. They also have gluten-free bread.
Inedible gluten-free pizza, they brought us 2 wrong pizzas and one had burnt pieces in the center. Given the price, a service like this doesn't seem very acceptable to me.
Excellent gluten-free pizza and fabulous prawn appetizer with cherry tomatoes, special warm tiramisu although I would have preferred it fresh. Highly recommended.

Really welcoming and relaxing place. We spent less than €20 per person for the single dish formula with three choices also taking a drink and a dessert.
Excellent variety of vegan desserts with also some gluten-free options, rare to find around. High and satisfying food quality also a choice of top background music to spend a relaxing dinner.
We will definitely be back!
This HR is incredible.
Small in size and huge in welcoming people with food allergies. Being able to enjoy a gluten-free sandwich was the last of the pleasures that HR Milan allowed me. Not to mention that I am reaching 10% of all HRs. Not enough? No. Just climbing the best of music tied to those worthy of being called rockers.
Not to mention that here, the service is huge, helpful, with warm and strong smiles, like Ingrid's, who welcomed us with the affection and professionalism that every HR should adopt.
I have been frequenting this restaurant quite frequently for about a decade.
The wood-fired pizza is good and digestible. Typically Neapolitan, like the whole environment. Good fish.
Unfortunately, last night an unfortunate episode occurred which will mean that our association will cease forever.
The menu includes traditional dough, wholemeal dough and gluten-free dough for pizza. + 2.5 euros each. Of the 3 pizzas ordered we got 2 with gluten-free dough having tried it in other pizzerias we frequented and found it more digestible. 2 unwatchable pizzas have arrived! A pre-cooked base of a pseudo pasta seasoned and heated in an electric oven. For a Neapolitan pizzeria a real sacrilege. I refused to eat it, my husband tasted it and followed me. It is not a 'gluten-free pizza' but an industrial pizza dough base seasoned and heated. It looked like the vacuum-packed pizza of the 80s, even worse.
I called the waitress, who also knows us, I pointed out to her that we wouldn't eat something like that and the first response was "what now?" And he insists on leaving them there. We asked for two traditional ones with a certain insistence because after more than half an hour of waiting we were also hungry and she went to call the manager who arrives, explains that their gluten-free pizza is like this (which perhaps should be written better and more clearly on the menu because there is a big difference between a pre-cooked base and a dough), apologizes and takes them away and says that he will make us the traditional ones. While we waited for the pizzas, the manager came by several times to apologize, reassure us that they would arrive shortly and to tell us that he would offer us a limoncello to apologize.
Moral of the story we get to the checkout, they still made us pay, and the waitress chased us with the two gluten-free pizzas in the takeaway box. Which obviously remained there.
Now with regular customers I would have handled it differently. You lose 20 euros (on public sales) and keep your regular customer. It was not necessary to inconvenience the director and make so many scenes: we would have paid for the pizzas anyway even if the display error on the menu was theirs. Now we paid for the pizzas, but we felt cheated and we will never set foot on Vesuvius again. Compliments to the manager and the waitress
PS the double mozzarella is a joke.
🍕 Strengths
1. Doughs and variety
Excellent choice of doughs: traditional, whole wheat, gluten-free, with leavening of at least 30 hours and stone-ground flour.
Wide selection: traditional, contemporary, gourmet and fried pizzas — from €6.50 to €18.
2. Fried foods and ingredients
Highly appreciated quality Neapolitan fried foods (frittatina, crocchè, courgette flowers…).
Selected raw materials: Slow Food presidia, burrata, cured meats and artisanal quality.
3. Ambience & service
Lively and well-structured place, with fast, courteous and efficient staff.
4. Welcome extras
Surprises such as zeppole, miniature amari and pastiera offered as a “welcome” or “grand finale”.
Good value for money.
⚠️ Areas for improvement
Cooking the crust: some pizzas have burnt edges or unevenly cooked dough.
Topping balance: gourmet pizzas are often too loaded, risk of imbalance between dough and toppings.
Slightly rubbery dough: in some cases not worked optimally, especially in traditional pizzas.
📝 Conclusion
Pizzeria Assaje (Viale Porta Vercellina 2) is a reference point for those looking for a contemporary Neapolitan pizza: lively atmosphere, quality ingredients, attentive service and an experience that often stands out for small and pleasant extra details.
If you want a gourmet pizza full of flavor and you are not afraid of some imperfections in the cooking, it is an excellent choice. On the other hand, if you are picky about the crust and dough, it is worth pointing them out when ordering.
📌 Final tips
Go during peak hours (7:00–8:00 p.m.) to find good movement and atmosphere.
Pay attention to the type of dough if you have preferences: traditional or whole wheat work best.
Don't forget to report any burns to the staff: they are ready to remake the pizza!
The customer service was great and this place was very popular. They offer a few gluten free items but there is risk of cross contamination. Overall, a cute little place that I enjoyed.

unfortunately, despite informing that I am allergic to gluten, I definitely got a roll with gluten, which made me feel very bad and I had to throw up. The lobster that I ordered for 45€ was only part of it, which is not stated on the menu and I actually only had 3 pieces. the atmosphere and the waiter were tragic. I had to write this comment. I do not recommend!
I was looking for a pizzeria that made gluten-free pizzas near a friend's house and it was already late. They were very kind to welcome us even though it was late. The gluten-free pizza was good but my friends were amazed by the real pizza they ate. Classic Neapolitan with excellent ingredients. The staff were kind and attentive. The place is small with just a few tables so it's best to book.
We will return to taste the desserts prepared by you.
Place discovered by chance. Friendly and competent staff, fast service, excellent dishes and quality raw materials.
Certainly, not the usual brunch but innovative ideas, dishes designed with attention to detail.
A special note goes to the desserts (delicious, lots of them and with vegan and gluten-free offerings)!
Well done guys!
Excellent service! Didn't have a Gluten Free menu when I went, however the waiter was very helpful and asked the chef to make me a custom gluten free dish. I ordered spaghetti which was delicious and they also brought gluten free crackers for starters which was a nice bonus!
We went for dinner, a welcoming place, excellent dishes and flavours, all very good.
Compliments to chef Alessandro, who is also very attentive to gluten free.
Very courteous staff, Giorgio a very kind and nice guy.
Advised.
We had dinner here twice during our trip. The food was delicious and a plus point was that you could ask for a gluten-free version of most things. The staff was very nice and helpful, especially Antonio.
I came to Ofelè for a lunch that was different from the usual. I ordered some savory pancakes with oat milk that were really excellent (too bad for the very unripe avocado that was tasteless..) and a vegan French toast that was instead impeccable!! Overall the proposals are varied (I give a lot of credit for the various vegan and gluten free options) and all equally tasty. The only flaw in our experience was the wait, waiting more than 40 minutes for pancakes seemed excessive to us... but it happens to have slow days. I will return again ☺️
Truly a discovery! Cozy place, we had an aperitif, I was very skeptical as I am a super carnivore and don't eat vegetables, I really changed my mind, hard to believe but despite being native and gluten free I have never eaten so much at an aperitif. All super delicious, high quality and really plentiful. I recommend it, you won't regret it. Believe me it's really worth it.
A fantastic find, selling an excellent selection of FRESH baked products that really are delicious, coffee is great as well. The only downside for us was the lack of proper milk/cream but the place is "100% plant based" so probably reasonable. The gluten free fruit tarts were also very good if that is important.

Disappointing in every way
Despite the heavy advertising of gluten-free and lactose-free options, the reality is quite different: the choice is really minimal. I ordered two cappuccinos, one regular and one with oat milk (I am intolerant), and when I asked which was mine, the response was a shrug of the shoulders and rude manners. Unacceptable.
In addition, the place is very small, the prices are high (50 cents for service only!) and the overall experience was disappointing. A lot of smoke and not much roast. I will not return and I do not recommend it.
Pizzeria and hamburger restaurant in Cologno Monzese very close to the ring road. Very nice place with many tables. It also has an outdoor area. The room on the mezzanine is more intimate. Friendly and helpful staff. I have only ever tried the Pizza, really delicious. There is a wide choice for all tastes. However, the restaurant's dishes can be eaten with your eyes... to be tried. They also make gluten-free pizza. Ample parking is also available for customers. More than recommended.
