We ended up at this bakery by accident today. I hadn’t ever sought it out before because of it being vegan, in my experience gluten free + vegan baked goods aren’t the best. Boy was a wrong, I had one of the best cinnamon rolls of my life here (including glutinous ones). The service was lovely, atmosphere was great and I will definitely be back next time I am in the area, the pie looked incredible.

Amazing flavors!! Got 1/2 a dozen, my absolute FAVORITE the strawberry!!! Gluten free!?? The texture reminds me of sticky rice more than a traditional donut. So very very delicious!!! I'll be back!!! It's a smaller place, not a lot of seating - I think there is more outdoor seating than inside, perfect for summer!! Service was friendly, and fast! I would highly recommend if you love pastries and are gluten free and or dairy free!! You may need to park a block away, WORTH IT!!!

Organic, quality food with variety! Such a wonderful find that aligns in so many areas of health. A healthy place that also offers animal protein is a rare find & this place is such a gem! Putting it on our short list of edible restaurants in the Portland area! From drinks to food, I will have to be back to try more menu items as there were so many amazing choices. Side note- some other people in our group tried to bring outside food indoors to eat but were redirected outside to eat on the patio as they are a gluten-free establishment. They were so kind & I respect this action so much. The staff was friendly & the atmosphere was welcoming. The plants throughout the restaurant were vibrant & well taken care of. Such a find! Will be back for sure!

The owner makes everything in house, down the mustard and ketchup. Each item is incredibly flavorful and custom. All items are clearly labeled with allergens, and there is a dedicated GF fryer. I have celiac disease and am very sensitive, I had no problems eating here. Highly recommend trying a mix of everything by way of the sides! Hands down best GF meal we’ve had out in Portland!

Absolutely amazing food! The burger was awesome the fries were on point. The chicken tenders were a little over cooked but lots of variety for gluten free options. The Marionberry lemonade is on point! I will definitely be back. Delicious food and great service! They even have an outdoor eating area.

Discovered this place on Tik Tok by a previous guest. Placed this on my must do - to do list to come to when adventuring on my 10 day Oregon roadtrip. Very hard to find places that are “true healthy” restaurants when traveling. Stopped in solo 5-30-25 post breakfast hours but before lunch. Was greeted by Cash - SO NICE, great personality!!!! suggestions were made but ultimately I decided to have the Vegan “tuna” chickpea salad sandwich. I had already had breakfast but wanted a light lunch before going hiking. (Had kitchen cut in half for me to take remainder on my hike). Loved the bread (almost sure and hoping it was gluten free) that was toasted lightly but not so hard it was like a crouton. The side soup was a vegetable type soup. Wow! Seasonings were on point with the sandwich and the soup. Bathroom was clean. ONLY THING that had me sad was no souvenir sticker. I travel all over the US frequently and enjoy collecting stickers. I don’t need cups, shirts when traveling. Please consider getting stickers. If I ever come back to Portland area. Hands down you will have a repeat customer coming back. Thank you!!

We went with Verde Cocina as the caterers for our wedding and could not be more pleased with the decision. Literally everyone came up to us to rave above the food. Having the EVO grill there made for a fun addition to the reception and also really made people feel like they were getting the most fresh high quality food. The cocktails were grabbed up almost immediately. Our only regret there was not buying more cocktails. The first bite of crab cake we got after hours of photo taking and wedding stuff will go down as a top 5 bite of food i've ever had. the sentiments were shared by many. Verde Cocina being a gluten-free restaurant and being very sensitive/aware of dietary restrictions was such a massive relief for us and for guests. Arro(in charge of the catering) was so quick with communication, extremely personable, and made the menu selection process a real joy. He's also just a nice guy, by the time we'd actually gotten married he was so excited to say congrats. Probably more that could be said, but I would just say if you are still looking for a catering option, just contact them. It will be worth exploring.

Great little spot for a date night or other casual affair. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. The vibes are great, the restaurant is in top portion of the house, while the downstairs is a quaint bar. The best part is that it is all gluten free and celiac safe!

The only unpleasant thing was bumping into someone when I got up from the table to use the restroom. The area is small and my booty is not. The food was AMAZING! Especially if you are gluten free. How do they get the cardamom french toast so thick? And the flavors *mwah.* I also tried the gluten free eggs Benny and it was very tasty too. Apparently there are yummy gluten free biscuits out there folks, and this is where they are hiding! Also the location is cool too because there are 2 vintage stores right next door basically. All the staff was very friendly too =^.^=

Very busy, in a slightly crowded space, my friend and I waited about 20 minutes for a table. She had the egg scramble and I had a breakfast sandwich. Sides of potatoes were good and grits excellent. My sandwich was decent, with some nice flavors, should have gotten the bacon. The scramble was huge and full of veggies. Waiter was very nice and helpful dealing with my friend's gluten issues. This wasn't my 1st time here, but 1st in a while.

This place is cool, especially for kids and aspiring artists. You make your own pancakes on a flattop that’s at each table. It’s the Korean BBQ of breakfast places. Their gluten free batter is excellent. I got the grand slam and their unlimited drip coffee. The staff is very friendly and the manager/owner that I’ve seen there works hard to make sure everything is perfect.

Absolutely delicious!! Like wow what a damn delight! So fresh and so good, wish I could eat here every day. Gluten free and dairy free for the sensitive tummies. The food tastes soooo good and at prices the average folk can afford, really a unicorn of a combination. Cute and welcoming space that has room and enthusiasm for children, amazing chef busting butt in a hot kitchen, menu has apps and meals so you can get a little or a lot. Opted for the queso and hoooboy it was perfection, just a little heat with flavor that makes you say “I can’t believe it’s vegan!”

I found this place from tiktok, and I was SO EXCITED to try it. I literally dragged my partner the next morning to get it. The food is SO delicious. It's like a better quality mcgriddle. I asked if the pancakes could be gluten free, and I got the implication everything was gluten free, but not 100% sure, so if you're celiac, double check. The wait was a little long and the parking is a little sketchy. The owner (?) was a little quiet and stone faced (but also FOIIINE). I would absolutely come here again, it's just a little far for me.

I was skeptical because I thought this would be asian cuisine (I'm sometimes intimidated by asian ingredients and sauces) but it turned out to be the same food I am used to, just with a subtle twist. I was unsure about the "Yumm sauce" even after the nice employee described it to be so he gave me a sample. It was great! It reminds me of a subtle tangy sauce, like tomatillo without the spice. The other ingredients were exactly what was detailed on the menu, and were very fresh. The flavors came together deliciously! In addition, there are many gluten free options and what the celiac in our party ordered did not cause her to get sick.

Nestled in the first floor of the Embassy Suites in downtown Portland, this very active hub has a lot to live up to. Serving great food and spirits with quality one would expect at much higher end establishments. It's very active and lively, so not the best option for a quiet experience, but fantastic if you want some of the highest quality for a surprisingly low cost. I ordered the frittata with potatoes, that came with a choice of toast. I requested gluten free bread, a side of sausage, and an Irish pick me up, (Irish coffee with an extra kick of espresso). All of which exceeded my expectations. I'm glad I stopped in, and I'm sure you will be too. However, expect a short wait as I'm not the only one that feels so highly of this spot.

EDIT / UPDATE: The general manager reached out to me immediately to figure out what happened, which I really appreciated. We figured out that their online POS system had a flaw that made effective order communication difficult (specifically when editing an order before checking out). They are diligently looking into the issue to get it resolved, and offered to refund me the amount for the item I ordered that came as a burrito instead of a bowl. My experience now has been improved drastically thanks to their commitment to improvement and customer satisfaction. Thank you again for resolving this so quickly and effectively, JoLa! ORIGINAL REVIEW: I want to give this place a higher rating but I’m a little frustrated with their online ordering experience. I did my best to pick certain options when editing each item in the online ordering section, but some of my choices apparently did not save correctly (as my receipt reflects a different choice than I actually made — and I triple checked my choices). For example, I asked for one of the items as a bowl instead of a burrito (which is an option they offer). In the receipt though, it says I chose a burrito. I even wrote a note in the “note to restaurant” section when ordering to ensure that it went through correctly (I wrote to them that I chose this particular dish as a bowl, not a burrito, as I try to limit my gluten intake otherwise I get sick). I also chose to add sausage and I got bacon. So while it seems that their online ordering platform may be to blame, I did preface my preference for the bowl versus burrito and it shows up on the receipt, yet they neglected to pay attention to it. It’s disappointing. The food is good though. I’d give that 4 stars. Would love for this to be resolved.
