My wife ordered food delivery from this True Food location. She has a severe gluten allergy and specifically requested food prepared without gluten. After the first bite of her rice bowl she could tell gluten was in her meal and she became drastically sick. Would like to hear from the manager for some kind of compensation please.

Very disappointed that this restaurant is no longer 100% gluten free. Please be advised as many previous reviews mention that this restaurant is gluten free and this is no longer the case.

We were excited to try this place after all the recommendations and the face that it is gluten-free. I also love their philosophy. The service is severely lacking. There is minimal communication from staff. We were sat down and then had to wait 10 minutes for a server or anyone to come over to introduce themselves or bring water. It took ages for the food to come and not once did they come over to check in how we were doing or come to refill the water. Terrible service experience. If they were short-staffed or something I would rather know that or communicate something to us rather than leaving us hanging.

I had a Turkey burger on a gluten free bun and sweet potato fries. Also the gluten free cookie. Very good with gluten, dairy, and beef allergies.

If you know, you know. There's nothing about this place that I can say that hasn't already been said. This is one of my favorite spots in downtown Austin. The food is always on point. Easy to get in and get out. Lots of food options and gluten free desserts. Pricy but worth it.

Great diner, the staff is always friendly and the food is classic American fare. Even though it's not an entirely GF restaurant they are very good about keeping the gluten free options separate and safe. They aren't nearly as busy as they deserve to be!

While our server was wonderful, I would not recommend breakfast/brunch here. We’ve been to a few other True Food locations so this one was an unfortunate surprise… Portions were so crazy tiny for the price. One person’s entree came out cold. Gluten free buns and breakfast patties tasted and looked like they had been heated up from frozen. Berries weren’t washed properly. The only milk options for a latte were either oat or *heavy cream*. We all left hungry after paying $100 + tip for 4 people. So disappointing.

It was so good! I’m not always a fan of deep dish but this was fantastic. I had a gluten free build your own with dairy free cheese, fig jam, arugula and mushrooms; I highly recommend that fig jam 🤤 Bf and I went a week ago and are going again tonight because we liked it so much!
