Fun little vegan and gluten-free cafe. The staff working were friendly and kind.
It is a small place and the serves are to the smaller side, too. Maybe more of a snack and treat spot I’d say. We came for lunch and had a pizza and burger plus cake and smoothies and drinks and weren’t full after. The rainbow cake looks beautiful, but wasn’t too flavorful. Tiramisu was more enjoyable. Great alternative cafe if on the search for gluten-free and vegan or dairyfree sweat and savory treats!
Excellent place for people with celiac disease! Everything is gluten-free and delicious. We tried the pepperoni pizza, a baguette, a bacon braid, and a kind of vegan curry-filled bun. It's a small takeout place, although there are a couple of benches outside where you can eat. The guy is very friendly and speaks perfect English.
100% recommended, but we recommend getting there early because they're so fast.
Saved our trip! My son is gluten free, and Japan (largely) is not. It was very hard to find food for him, and other gluten free shops either weren’t really gluten free, or just tasted bad, had very small menus, or were closed when they said they were open. But Biossa had exactly what we needed. Good, fresh, delicious gluten free bread, muffins, baguettes, and croissants! That way we could pack and carry the breads around Tokyo, so my son could eat almost anywhere (by swapping out the provided breads with these gluten free ones). Game-changing. Thanks Biossa!
It's a restaurant that specializes in vegan and gluten-free food, and it doesn't use rice flour, so it was very helpful. The stylish atmosphere was also nice. The food was very delicious and reasonably priced, so it was a good experience.
My friend is gluten-free, therefore she was really happy with the wide selection. I tried the sesame ramen, but it was really bland, and the little bit of soy meat tasted like nothing
Absolutely delicious chicken tikka masala. Cozy place and very friendly staff. The owner is very knowledgeable about gluten, and all the curries were gluten free.
Fukuda was amazing with gluten intolerance, I could cry. He literally walked me through every item that I could eat safely. The food was also amazing! 10/10 would come back!
Excellent burgers and very interesting desserts, they also have gluten-free sandwiches so they can satisfy even those who need gluten-free. Service as always friendly, water included, prices slightly higher than average but worth it.
Probably one of my fav locations of theirs. Kura sushi chain is great! They have an allergen menu online that you can use to guide you and order directly from the screen. It can be a but difficult to navigate getting a table but its yummy and really affordable. There are also a lot of locations so it became a good backup option to have while travelling.
I found a natural cafe that serves gluten-free shortcake and other healthy sweets.
They also don't use meat, eggs, dairy products, refined sugar, or chemical seasonings.
Great for vegans too♪
They have a wide variety of coffees, so I recommend them to those looking for decaf coffee◡̈
And the prices are surprisingly cheap.
This area is close to Ginza, so I was prepared to pay a fair amount, but I was surprised at how cheap it was and it was easy on the wallet, so I was happy.
The interior of the store is made of glass and has a high ceiling, making it a very open and airy space.
Thank you for the meal♡
A gem of a place especially for my gluten free peeps! I really enjoyed my meal. I ordered the soy chicken that came with savory pancakes. I also ordered their gluten free citrus cream cake. I thoroughly enjoyed everything. I will be back to try more.
Ordered the lunch buffet. It is a system where you can choose whether you want one serving, refills, or unlimited. This time I only had one refill. For curry, you can get one refill of spinach, spicy foods, and many salads from the main dish. Coffee and rooibos tea are all you can drink. Tandoori chicken is limited to 2 pieces per serving, so it's plump, super delicious, and addictive. The udon noodles are smooth and chewy, filling and delicious. The curry is gluten-free, low-calorie, and has a nice spicy sweetness. It was delicious with steamy skinned potatoes. Payment can be made in advance at the ticket vending machine and PayPal is also available.
I would absolutely recommend this to other people who are gluten free / celiac. As a celiac I have eaten here twice and they are very helpful when making food that is gluten free.
They have an allergy list on their menu which allows you to see all the dishes that are wheat free. Noting they do mention gluten as it is not a formal allergy in Japan. They do offer gluten free bread though! Additionally, they were able to provide meal substitutes - removing a certain sauce - to make it wheat / gluten free.
However, do not worry as I have eaten here twice - October 2024 and April 2025 - and as a symptomatic celiac I have had no reaction to it.
If you are vegetarian / vegan this may be quite hard to have a full meal here as most dishes involve meat of some sort.
I was curious about this shop!
There are six types of lightly roasted beans, and you can check out the smell and choose your favorite!
I chose iced coffee.
It had a good balance of sourness, refreshing aroma, and sweetness.
The matcha donuts were vegan and gluten-free.
They were filling and delicious!!
There were a lot of tourists, and the shop was bright and had a nice atmosphere.
I want to go again!!
Enjoyed a really wonderful first meal in Tokyo here. As a coeliac, I was nervous but the staff were understanding of my dietary requirements and I enjoyed really delicious meat/vegetables/rice. It was a bit pricey but made sense based on the high quality of ingredients. Would highly recommend 😁
We had no reservation for a large group and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The sushi was exceptional. After 2 weeks in Japan, this was by far the best sushi we had it was spectacular. Cannot recommend enough. They bad gluten free soy sauce and a gluten free menu for me.
We wanted to try the mochi(next to this place) and since hungry and found availability we entered and tried their delicious gluten free pancakes with salad & the gluten-free vegan bento, even if we are not vegans 🥴 but I can say it was delicious!
A bit expensive but the personnel were nice, good food, cozy place mostly central and especially gluten-free!!!
I recommend the bento!
Thank you for preparing these goodies for us coeliacs! We are very happy to be able to taste it! 😄

Excellent burger, I was able to order lettuce instead of bread (gluten free) and I was also able to eat the fries without repercussions. One of the best wheat-free burgers in Japan so far!

An organic cafe in Kichijoji.
A friend took me to the lunch buffet.
I was so satisfied that I ate it twice.
The lunch buffet is 1,550 yen from 11:00 to 2:00 p.m.
The 10th, 20th and 30th of every month are Gluten Free Days.
The store also has miscellaneous goods, ingredients, cakes, etc., so you can enjoy just shopping.
There are also take-out lunch boxes available.
It gets crowded anyway. When ordering, I was told that the restaurant fills up quickly, so if you have to share a seat, please cooperate.
We saw many people coming with their families.
Thank you to my friend who introduced me.
Such cool & unique flavors! Organic and high-quality ingredients used. Gluten-free and vegan options. I've been looking for something like this in Tokyo. Love love love
Very good Hot Pot in All you can eat formula. You can choose whether to eat beef, pork or both, the price changes slightly. The waiters speak English and are very helpful towards customers. We were served by Sota and Masaya who were very professional!
Suitable for celiacs, they are very careful about contamination, a great place!
When I was having lunch at a nearby restaurant called Otamaju, I saw a flyer and found out about it.
As it is a gluten-free sweet,
Don't worry about that! I asked.
These are the most delicious sweets ever.
All muffins except those containing chocolate,
chiffon cake,
and,
I bought gateau chocolat, which my 4th grader loves.
without feeling guilty,
I bought it as a morning gift.
I ate one to taste in the car on the way home, and...
Really delicious,
Texture, exquisite blend, sweetness,
Everything is very delicious,
I don't snack,
I ate it with all my heart's desire.
The few remaining muffins,
Morning of the next day,
I also received it in the morning the next day,
No change in taste,
I thought it might have helped because it wasn't nearby.
If you go nearby,
I will also buy everything except chocolate.

Review for こめパンカフェ (Monday & Tuesday)
A really good gluten-free cafe serving rice flour baguette sandwiches. My chicken sandwich was delicious, and I really enjoyed the Satsuma potato pottage. The baguette was one of the best gluten-free baguettes I’ve ever had. It was crunchy on the outside, and soft and chewy on the inside. Next time I will try to come earlier in the day so I can buy cinnamon rolls.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They also understood wheat and gluten sensitivities very well.
Irregular open times.
I love GyG. I love the food and the fact that it's gluten-free. But it's like a boyfriend that throws tantrums every now and then and suddenly closes without announcement.
What I HATE is the irregular schedule that GyG in Shibuya operates. On google is says closing is 21:30pm. I went there twice at 19:00, only to find out that it's closed and there was a sign at the door thay says "we're open until 20:00, last order is 19:30". I arrived there at 19:15. Already closed. This happened twice already and it's such a hassle travelling all the way to Shibuya only to find out that it's closed and Google says it should close at 21:30.
Go to GyG Harajuku. You can be sure they are open on the times they said they would be.

The best shabu shabu in ikebukuro, eat as much as you can in 100 minutes. And with the option of GLUTEN FREE broth. They were very attentive, offering us rice noodles. On top of that, we were served by a super nice waitress who was a sweetheart named Haruka. We will return. Thank you so much
We ordered a double cheeseburger and a burger on lettuce, which you can add any toppings you want. It was delicious.

The food was really good, and even though I have celiac disease, I was able to eat gluten-free there. The waitress, Joohyun Run, was very accommodating and even asked the kitchen about the individual ingredients. I would eat here again.
I stumbled upon this place accidentally, and was pleasantly surprised. I have been eating at all these other Japanese omakase restaurants that were very serious and quiet, so having an experience at a lively and boisterous place was a welcome change! The food was good and service was quick, would definitely come again. I am pescatarian and gluten-free, and I was able to order things I can eat.
Celiac, celiac, gluten-free
It saved me from going hungry one day when another gluten-free restaurant in the area was not yet open for lunch/dinner. It's not a big deal, but they served us great and the hot dog is passable (I recommend at least 2).
I tripped on the stairs and dropped a bit of my friend's food (3 fries and his dessert). They prepared more for us at no extra cost, hence the 5 stars.
According to my friend, the burger he ordered was very delicious and not expensive at all.
Thank you very much for the food!

Konru kuay
This is a shop where you can eat gentle and delicious bread that does not use milk or eggs and uses simple ingredients.
○About the store
Business days are limited to Tuesdays and Sundays. However, there are opportunities to purchase it at other stores, such as those sold on consignment at Kojikumiya and Ikebukuro on Fridays. Details can be found on Instagram.
In addition to selling bread, it also functions as a coffee shop, so you can eat and drink the bread you purchase with a set of side dishes.
Unusually, there is a vending machine. The only rice flour vending machine I've ever seen is the one in Okayama.
The staff at the store (Yukiko Sekine and others) were very responsive. Since the only payment methods were cash or PayPay, I went to withdraw the money, but they kindly kept the bread for me while I was there.
○About bread
Currently, there are three types of rice flour-based products: bread, horohoro cookies, and chiffon, and the others are wheat-based. Therefore, although rice flour bread is gluten-free, contamination is possible. All the breads have simple ingredients and seem to be of good quality.
Also, most breads are labeled with information on ingredients, etc., so you can choose and purchase with confidence.
○About what I bought
#rice flour bread
It's quite elastic and chewy. Moist inside. The bottom side is hard and filling. The sweetness is gentle but not too weak, and it's delicious enough to keep eating as is. Of course, the binding is good, and none of the parts fall apart (some powder does fall off).
#Rice flour cookies
It's crumbly but easy to eat. It's so flavorful that you can eat 4 of them right away.
Personally, I wish there were more varieties of rice flour bread and more stores and opportunities to buy it.
However, the rice flour bread is so delicious that it's worth going just to buy it, so I'll continue to go here.
We went here twice during our stay. Very good food, smoothies, coffee and tea. I love how they serve soup with their main dish. Really great in the morning. Highly recommend. Works for dietary restrictions like gluten, dairy and vegan.
This restaurant offers a low allergen option which was suitable for my girlfriend who is a coeliac. The staff explained to me how to select it from the tablet and they said that these were done in a separate environment to avoid cross contamination. The gluten containing options were very tasty too!
Cool atmosphere, like a retro bar. Not a ton of seating but wasn't really crowded when I arrived. Amazing burgers, and made mine gluten free by placing on lettuce. This place is a great find! Will definitely stop by again.

Accommodate celiac and gluten free safely.
Extremely pleasant dining experience.
They took my celiac disease extremely seriously and even went through the whole menu to tell me what they could make gluten free and what was off limits. I gave them my Japanese celiac card that also explains cross contamination.
I went with the salmon. Sadly it was only a somewhat small piece of salmon and nothing more, I guess you had to order the side dishes separately. It was delicious however! So I ordered another one! My (non celiac) partner had the roasted chicken and the egg in potato dish. They were big and more than enough.
