Newly diagnosed celiac here. Came for the "Real Cheeseburger" on a gluten free bun and it it was one of the best burgers I've ever had. Will definitely return. The staff were knowledgeable and assured me my food would be celiac safe. When it arrived to the table, we were asked first where the gluten free burger went. The sodas were good and fries very delicious!
While staying at the Hyatt, I found this place online for a friend with gluten allergies. There were many doubts and some in our group wanted to turn back as we walked there. Man were we happy we didn't listen to the naysayers!
This place was awesome! The outside doesn't look great but the inside is very quaint. The staff were very nice and the food was simply amazing. Most of the group went back the following day.
This was my first time visiting the restaurant. I was in town for a wedding and googled. Having celiac and egg allergy it not always easy to find a good place with good options, but I was amazed by the food here. I went back a couple time's before leaving. This is going to be my to go spot always when in SA. Staff were great, atmosphere is very cute and friendly and did I mention the food ....it was AMAZING, so delicious, great variety , it made me like a normal person enjoying food actual regular food and not having to worry about getting sick!!! A definite win!!!
We have recently started frequenting In N Out, and have enjoyed them a lot! They don't have a lot of menu options, but they excel at the items they offer. Pricing is affordable in today's age. They offer bunless burgers, which is amazing for people with gluten intolerance, or those looking to reduce carb intake.
We came here to celebrate our son's 23rd birthday as well as his upcoming graduation from The Culinary Institute of America, and it was well worth every cent!
We did the tasting menu and shared everything family style. The food is dairy and gluten free as well as plant-forward. That said, the braised shirt ribs did not disappoint. We left full and happy.
If you're dining with someone who doesn't like vegetables, bring them here to change their mind.
What a treat to have vegetarian and gluten free! The food was delicious! And the agua fresca was sweet and refreshing. There were so many yummy sounding choices it was hard to pick, I’ll have to come back.
The food was delicious, I was able to have chicken fried steak and gravy gluten free!
The waiter was very knowledgeable about their gluten free options as well as gluten allergy/ Celiac. There is not a separate gluten free menu however almost everything on the menu can be made gluten free and they have a separate prep area/ fryer. My only issue was it was kinda expensive, very yummy though!
We absolutely love this restaurant and eat there at least once a month.
One of the big draws from me ore. Originally, choosing this restaurant was the delicious gluten-free menu. Any authentic food.
Hadn't been here in years but it was just as delicious as ever! Brought my 17yo son for the first time but it won't be his last I'm sure. He loved it! Also great gluten-free pizza and wings! I have a gluten intolerance and I had no issues here. I definitely recommend 👌
Great burger place, many options. Onion rings quite popular, also pretzel bites. All you can eat sides. Our server offered us fries up front- instead of appetizer. Burgers are customizable and all ingredients delish. Their campfire sauce is amazing! Competent friendly staff check on you without hovering. Kid friendly and I understand quite gluten friendly as well. Full bar. Loyalty program. Military discount.
Service is always top notch! The food was excellent, the creme brulee and drinks were awesome! I love the fact that they have so many gluten free options. Definitely will be back!
Visit miss chickpeas, it looks good, it's the first time I've been there. the place is cozy. Friendly and helpful staff. A lot of variety in the dishes, I recommend it: several gluten-free options. It is a beautiful place, I like the play of its colors. It is a little difficult to find a restaurant where the portions are large and the quality-price ratio is very good, the cook is super friendly as well as the cashiers. I am from Spain and I have been eating this type of food for 12 years. An award for the person who prepares that type of food at miss chickpea I loved it!!
We had an amazing experience on Wed, 3/19/25, with server Max. It did take a bit of time to get items, like the table side guacamole. Our cart sat while he attended other tables before he made our guac. I asked if the tortilla chips were fried in a seperate or shared fryer. He immediately asked "do you have Celiac?". I do & he made sure everything was safe for me. I really appreciated that, I never felt like I was a bother because of my Celiac. The food & drinks were delicious, though on the pricier side. Max was very personable, he made the experience so great.
Very pleasant experience. The waitress told me “we take allergies very seriously here. We don’t have a seperate GF menu because the majority can be made GF”.
This place is absolutely amazing and a must go to! If you are visiting SeaWorld in San Antonio then you need to make it a point to stop here and eat. You can thank me later.
If you live on the Northwest side of San Antonio, then this needs to be on your regular list of places to eat.
If you are visiting San Antonio then you need to make this one of your destination eateries.
If you are a foodie, then this will be THE crown jewel of your amazing places to eat in San Antonio.
This food is healthy, fresh, and absolutely delicious. They have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free menu items that are all spectacular. Breakfast and lunch is served all day and the food is full of flavor and the portions are filling. There are a wide variety of beverage options that are both healthy and tasty.
The owner and staff here are very welcoming and friendly and helpful. The gluten-free food here is so good that I drove 45 minutes each way just to pick it up for my wife. It was worth every minute and every mile.
There are lots of food options around this part of town, and I have been to many of them, but this is by far the best. My only regret is having not found this treasure of a restaurant sooner.
Anyone who gives this place less than five stars simply cannot be trusted. It's so good it deserves 10 stars, and once you try it for yourself I know you will agree. Went into support small businesses like this. Their service and product is far superior to any chain restaurant that you might consider. And as far as small local eateries go, this is one of the best.
As you can tell, I can't recommend it enough. Go pay them a visit and find out why for yourself!
I was very impressed by this pizza spot. Great atmosphere, great service, and great food. Had the loaded queso dip, taco nirvana chicken pizza, and the mighty meaty pizza. All had fantastic taste. They even had delicious gluten-free options available for one of my neices. 😋 Can't wait to visit again.
We waited 45min for party of 4 to actually be sat inside for walk-in even though requested outside seating. Had to ask for server to order food cause we may have been forgotten. Food was good although gluten tortillas debatable. Recommend if you can sit outside
Dough Pizza is easily one of the best Neapolitan pizzas I’ve ever had. It’s incredibly authentic, though they use a bit more cheese than you’d typically find in Italy—likely to cater to the American palate. That said, the quality is outstanding, and it’s clear they take pride in their ingredients and execution.
Beyond the food, the ambiance is fantastic. They’ve done a great job creating an upscale dining experience, making it a perfect spot for date night. The wine selection is excellent, and their cocktail list is well-curated. If you’re into wine, the flight is a must-try—generous pours of four different Italian wines that give you a great sampling.
Everything I’ve tried here, from appetizers to pizzas, has been excellent, but what really stands out is their gluten-free pizza. Surprisingly, many of the staff even prefer it in their personal time, and I get why—it has an amazing fluffy texture. I don’t have gluten issues, but I still opt for the gluten-free crust because it’s that good.
On top of the great food and drinks, the service is top-notch. One of the wait staff, Beau, is consistently friendly and polished. We’ve formed a great relationship with him, and he always takes excellent care of us.
This place has become a weekly tradition for my wife and me, and I can’t recommend it enough!
I came in from out of town on a business trip and naturally, had to check out riverwalk & grab a bite to eat on the water ! Here's the catch- I have severeeeeee celiac disease. Like, cross contamination sensitive. It makes finding safe eateries while traveling a...challenge to say the least. That being said, I found Paesano's via a Google search and saw immediately they had a huge gluten free menu...I called and spoke to the staff before I decided to catch an Uber there..and they made me feel so safe. Understood the allergen protocol.
I get to the restaurant and I'm seated immediately- during peak dinner hours. I get a cozy little spot right on the riverwalk, perfect for people watching as I dine solo. My server, Rudy** was such a pleasure - kind , attentive and understood the assignment right away when i explained my allergen needs. He assured me multiple times before food was dropped that he spoke to Chef Raul** and told me their cross contamination precautions. Wow did I feel safe. It means so much to us allergy folks when places just GET IT. And they GET IT .
Lovely vibes, personable and friendly service even during peak dinner ! For a solo dining guest ! I am happy to report I have a safe spot to visit next time I'm here in SAT.

My fiancé and I were visiting San Antonio in April for the eclipse and had dinner at Fogo de Chao for the first time. Staff were wonderful and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The servers treated all of the tables as their own. A special thank you to the manager who was kind enough to bring me the allergen list and go through item by item with me as I have celiac disease. Avoiding gluten while eating out can be daunting but she made me feel confident and safe. The food was delicious, the salad bar had multiple options and there was never a shortage of meat coming to the table. We felt very special at the end when we were surprised with a crème brûlée. We would 10/10 recommend and hope to go back someday.

Nicolas M was absolutely amazing! He recommended the octopus, bistro steak and more. He made sure that all our questions were answered. If we had any questions at anytime just to flag him down. He never left our table without us being confident in what we were asking/ordering. I am gluten free so finding a place that accommodates and understands can be difficult at times but this place understands. They are also veteran owned! He even brought my leftovers out after being left behind! He went above and beyond! You definitely won’t be disappointed coming here!
We went to BellaGreen today for my birthday and really enjoyed everything. Don’t let the buildings facelift deter you, parking in the garage is validated as well. They also cater, including gluten free options.
We had: the OG pizza, a huge salad honey fried goat cheese and arugula, honey garlic cauliflower wings Gluten free, and kids pasta with Alfredo. For dessert the gluten free carrot cake and the apple crumble. Impressed with the gluten free options, overall restaurant cleanliness and great service. we will definitely be back.
Wow, what incredible service. Chef Sean is the best! Stopped in today for a to-go order but we had some dietary requests. Chef Sean not only came to our table to assist with our special requests but he also shared a personal recipe for a gluten free bread! Talk about going the extra mile!
Give him a raise!

Worth the wait!
I did the “build your own pasta” with the gluten free pasta & parmesan cheese sauce, which was delicious - being able to mix & match their pasta options to all be GF was great. Husband got the chicken parm & absolutely loved it too. Portion sizes were very generous!
We chose 4/5 as for an Italian restaurant, we were hoping for a bread appetizer that most restaurants offer, but we didn’t have that. And we do agree with the other reviewers that it is a little slow, but it’s absolutely worth the wait. Staff were all very kind & personable!
Multiple gluten free and vegan options on the menu, very good price, good atmosphere!
Very much enjoyed my bbq chicken salad even though I was eyeing up the gluten free sandwiches! They have a tangible gluten free menu rather than leaving you to decipher the main menu and our server was very knowledgeable.
I am very sensitive to cross contact with gluten and I did not have a reaction. All of my gluten eating friends at the table also thoroughly enjoyed their meals :)
My meal was so fresh and so delicious. I’m not vegan or gluten free but came here with relatives that are. I’m blown away by the flavors and options here. Also, the service was fantastic and went above and beyond. I deeply appreciated the kindness shown. Thank you for great food and a great experience!
I asked the waiter if they had a gluten free menu. He was kind to get me a menu. After I gave my order, I had a gentleman come to talk to me about my order. He wanted to make sure my order was properly taken care of. He was going to make sure the cooks changed their gloves. The service I received was above and beyond.
Late Monday night dinner, no wait, accommodating staff and excellent service. A really good gluten free pizza, I think it’s rice flour dough so it had a great chew to it. Wings and burger great as well.
As someone with celiac disease and a wheat allergy, I love this restaurant! The burgers are amazing! My boyfriend who is a huge meat eater even loves coming to this restaurant. I cannot recommend this restaurant or the other restaurants they open (Vegan Avenue on Main and Planetology) enough!
My 1st time @MOD pizza & I enjoyed what I had. They have gluten free choices. You choose everything you want on your pizza. The service was pretty quick considering it was busy. The atmosphere was ok, taking into consideration there were nats flying around. Overall, I would recommend this place.
I've been coming here since they opened, I've also been ordering the same pizza for about a year. Tonight i ordered the gluten free pizza with bacon, same as usual. Ordered online, picked it up. Got in the car and had a bad feeling so i checked my order. Took one bite out of a silce of pizza and it was disgusting!!!! Went back inside to let them know this was not gluten free and it was also super doughy. The nice young guy behind the counter said "im so sorry let me make another" looked for the dough and looked back at me and said "oh you know what we haven't had gluten free all day" i said no problem i would like a refund. The women ringing the couple up looked over and said "no this is gluten free i make the dough, i can not refund you" I asked the young man for my pizza back and left. The older women was very rude and as long as she is working I will not be coming back!!
I got home and put my pizza in the oven at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. It was not burnt or anything. It was no longer doughy either. Maybe if the women had listened when I was it needed to go back in the oven longer, this wouldn't have been a issue.
My main concern is was there gluten free dough today or not?? Were just not wanting to give me my money back?? Either way I will be taking my business else where.
This is an excellent restaurant. My wife cannot have gluten, and they serve great gluten-free options. My favorite is the chicken quesadilla with corn tortillas or the 1lb grilled chicken platter for 2. Delicious, and I am looking forward to going again.
Some of the best gluten free pizza and dessert I've ever tasted. I have had celiac disease my whole life and I must say it's nice to be able to eat a freshly made pizza that's just as good as the real thing. The staff were all fantastic, easy to work with, and knowledgeable with the menu and allergen information as well. I had the gluten free Detroiter pizza and then the gluten free cinnamon sticks for dessert. 10/10 experience, will definitely be visiting again soon.
Had a great lunch at Shake Shack! Super impressed by the attentive, friendly service from Alejandro and Gio! The food was awesome. Love that they have a gluten free bun.
I have tried to order from the Snooze online and app, however, it no longer lets me substitute to a gluten friendly bread on the eggs benedict. It used to in the past. So then I tried to call in my order yesterday, but when I selected to transfer to speak to someone, the line kept hanging up and would not transfer. Snooze, please fix your automated systems!
Ordered a gluten-friendly pizza and was given a regular pizza. I ate a piece and a half before I realized. I don't expect gluten-friendly places to be perfect for people with Celiac, but at least give people the right pizza.
