Very lively place, with great menu of creative dishes. Entire menu is gluten free so no worries here. Not your typical Tex-Mex kind of place. I had the birria entree that came with a large bone marrow side with several soft corn tortillas and delicious rice and beans. Very attentive waitstaff who knew the menu inside out. Parking can be a significant issue.
I adore this cute little cafe. All the food is delicious AND healthy. My belly always feels great after eating here. Basically everything can be made gluten free, which makes it hard to choose! The breakfast burrito bowl has been my favorite thing that I've ordered. I also love the superfood lattes!
They have a gluten free menu you can request that also indicates options for avoiding soy, corn and coconut and everything is dairy free and plant based. They have gluten free desserts from local gluten free bakeries and are happy to modify dishes as needed for additional allergens. Their cocktails are also AMAZING!
Safe for celiacs! They have separate prep areas for their gluten and GF foods, dedicated pans, and make everything from scratch. They have a shared fryer, but serve corn tortilla chips that are made off site in a GF facility.
Excellent gluten free menu and they provide gf chips! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. If you aren't a fan of pork green chili, substitute the tomatilla sauce on your burrito.
The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I went two days in a row because it was so good and celiac safe. Everything tasted fresh. Can’t beat fresh squeezed juices for cocktails. We need one in Minneapolis, MN.
Wait staff was friendly, food tasted alright. Menu was clear about dietary restrictions and differentiated between plain gluten free and celiacs (no cross contamination), which was nice. Barbacoa tacos gave me food poisoning.
Good Mexican food. They did good takeout. They did miss one of our things of tortillas. But they were able to do gluten free for one of my friends who is celiac.
Amazing place, lovely staff, and delicious food. I have celiac disease and had never had a churro - to be able to eat one (jk, I totally ate all four and have no shame) with absolutely no worries about cross contamination was incredibly. Seriously, pretty sure I shed a solitary tear of joy. The tacos were also ridiculously good. The chips? Salty, crispy, crunchy perfection. Also, the fingerling potatoes? I thought I understood potatoes before I visited, but alas, I knew nothing. My stomach was full, but dang if my heart wasn't fuller.
Also wouldn't dare forget to mention the atmosphere - this restaurant just looks freaking amazing. The light fixtures are fascinating, the walls are artful, and they somehow make it feel spacious even during rush hour on Thirsty Thursday. (Speaking of, the margs? I'm drooling while typing this. Sooo good.)
Our go to Mexican restaurant! They do great with gluten free. Great food and service! The owner and staff are amazing. Get the carne asada plate or the pork enchilada plate with green chile strips on top!
Haven't been here in a while. I got chicken fajitas. There were very good, but for me the surprise star was the corn tortillas. They make them in-house and they were, quite frankly, delicious! I eat gluten-free and (mostly) keto. One of these tortillas is worth the keto cheat.
Toast offers an excellent dining experience, particularly notable for its commendable gluten-free menu. Among the highlights, the Reuben and egg Benedict dishes truly stand out as favorites, showcasing the restaurant's dedication to quality and taste.
This is a great local restaurant. The food is always good, as is the service. It's a small place and can be busy on the weekends. Some dishes can run out on busy nights. They offer a gluten-free menu.
Looking for a late night dinner and drinks after the hot springs? This is the place. It’s all gluten free and tastes fantastic! Drinks were on point, and had a nice chill vibe of people hanging out and playing pool.
We’ll be back the next time we visit!
Kitchen closes at midnight.
I love this place and they have wonderful gluten-free options. Chicken enchilada and unfried unbreaded chili rellonos are a yum yum. The staff here is wonderful
Not Celiac but gluten free and I always find something amazing at this Restaurant. The staff is friendly and willing to make accommodations. Highly recommend
My fiance and I love coming to Palenque! Amazing food and atmosphere. The staff is amazing and accommodating. Very grateful it’s close to home with the food and drinks being as delicious as they are. They offer Gluten Free, Vegan, and Vegetarian options. Also, have a house Margarita! Holy cow it’s delicious! Especially on Mondays when that are two-for-one!
My girlfriend and I would come here at least once or twice a month. Food is delicious and they advertise gluten free dishes on their menu. My girlfriend has celiac disease and they used to be good at food handling & preparing gluten free food. Unfortunately this changed & the kitchen staff contaminated their gluten free fryer. We were told this by staff before ordering and stayed clear of their gluten free fried foods. They still contaminated her gluten free meal (steak) after assuring us that they could still safely handle her order. She got extremely sick. It is very scary when she gets this contaminated. I went back in and told the manager on duty and he showed no concern & said it was impossible. Clearly he did not care or understand how dangerous it is when their kitchen staff are careless with their food handling. He just brushed it off like it was no big deal. Very sad to see this lack of concern for food safety.
Edit after reading response from owner. There is an app called Find Me GF where another Celtic reported getting sick recently. I truly hope they fix this as the food is amazing. It only takes one poorly trained worker to contaminate a busy kitchen.
Food was incredible. I got the chicken sandwich on gluten free bread. The best one I’ve had in a long time. Staff was a little frazzled - it was busy, but our server was attentive and friendly. Totally worth the stop.
¡Increíble! The nopales asada street tacos are my favorite and the owners are so wonderful and accommodating. I have a gluten and dairy allergy and there are so many options! Nueva favorita restaurante <3
Even though the service was just OK and a bit slow, the food was amazing!
Ceviche had tons of lime and just enough spice level. I wish it came with avocado.
The chilaquiles were crunchy (as they should) and the eggs runny but well cooked on the outside.
The tacos de carnitas were good too, the meat was tender and tasted great.
All three plates gluten free!
Price is also fair.
Kudos to the chef!
Not very gluten friendly, at all. Nothing I asked about was gluten free, no bread options, sauces had gluten in them. So we had wine & shared a garden salad.
We enjoyed our lunch at El Segundo. We sat outside on the deck with a nice view of Gore Creek. They easily accommodated our gluten restrictions. We started with nachos which were generous with lots of yummy toppings. For the second course, we each enjoyed a taco. The tacos were all creative and flavorful. Our cocktails were also nice. Will definitely visit again!
Our waiter Zoet literally was the best!! He accommodated our big party and was so kind. He even gave on our guests a free GF dessert since she is celiac. He really elevated the experience 🙌 the food was fine the sopapillas were amazing, vibes are good. Thanks Zoet!!
Fantastic GF options. Highly recommended for those with celiac disease. GF fried Chile relleno was amazing. And the fried jalapeno caps are out of this world!
We recently ate here for the first time and were pleased with the gluten free options and non-alcoholic beverages (the strawberry margarita mocktail is sooo delicious). The restaurant had a good vibe and I was excited to see their more sustainable take-home packaging. All in all, a great experience and we'll be back.
We just recently discovered Torchy’s and we are huge fans! The food is so good…as good as Teocali and Lady Nomada! It’s now in our date night rotation. The restaurant is clean as well. The service at the front can be fairly slow. We can’t order on the kiosks because we have a gluten allergy and it won’t let us substitute things on the kiosk so we have to wait for someone to come to the register and sometimes that can take a while but that’s my only complaint and it’s fine because we are not in a hurry.
Went to the grab-n-go side for a gluten-free burrito bowl and Tostitos salsa verde chips. It was super flavorful and filling. Perfect quick bite between flights.
UPDATE YOUR MENU TO ACCURATELY REFLECT ALLERGENS
If an item is marked GF on your menu (not GFO) it should not contain gluten. I inquired about the flavor of the mole enchiladas marked as gf on the menu. The cashier graciously offered to taste the sauce which was much appreciated. When I went to order it, I confirmed it was gf. Cashier told me the mole sauce I just tasted was recently changed to contain gluten. I’m pretty ticked off the menu was not updated. This is not the cashier's fault, but management should take this more seriously. Very frustrating and not the first time I've had a gluten issue here. On 2 prior occasions I ordered gf corn tortillas with the huevos and was given flour. Laxness around allergens has steered me away from future visits.
Their food is amazing, every time and my entire family is hooked on this place. It costs less than other similar restaurants and my gluten free daughter doesn’t have any issues here. We like to order on the app and then head that way and our order is always ready. Always a clean, cheerful environment.
The other reviews are right about the gluten free bread, it's excellent and we all know that's hard to find. The food is very good overall, the chef knows what they're doing. It's a bit overpriced though, considering my breakfast sandwich had very little bacon and my turkey sandwich seemed like it should have come with some kind of side given the price. Everyone there was very nice and I liked it enough to go back for lunch.
I had the carnitas omelette as a scramble with the best gluten free toast I've ever had. The scramble was gigantic and had an acceptable amount of carnitas in it. My husband had the rancher omelette and it looked to have a large amount of meat. The side of fruit was a nice end to the meal. My only feedback is that they should have cream in little pitchers instead of small disposable plastic containers.
